okay, I'm really at a loss here... i still get an error message when i start installing the game... i tried everything.... using applocale, starting as administrator, switching off the security questions
has anybody encountered the problem too or am i just once again one hell of an unlucky guy?

mine doesn't start crashing till part way through the Lise route but it halts at one particular spot so i'm still SOL

I encountered two crashes in two routes respectively so I'm stalling this and hoping for a update by the TL team

You can still play all the routes, just skip the part where u crashed by switching to the original SR.exe, save then load from the translated one

But seems like the choices are pretty straight forward and straight.
Just keep going to the places to practice with the girls you want and choose choices based on them and ignore the rest. Should be pretty easy to go on the route so you probabbly wont need a walkthrough

You downloaded the March 18 2010: Patch installer exe right?
You click it to start the patch installer and browse for the place you installed your Symphonic rain, install the patch in the same folder of all those symphonic rain files.
Is okay to ask, people who asks can learn, while people who dont never learn ^_^.

It's most likely a custom edit, I dont know how they do it tho, read b4 that there is a program to do it....

I think you can install the game anywhere. You just have to edit the sr.reg file from C:\\Program Files\\KOGADO\\SRTE\\SR_qc.exe to where ever you want to install it. (Right click sr.reg, click edit. Should be fairly straight forward.)
As for the crashes (I assume you mean when the text just stop showing up at random?) you can still click through text, so you just click once or twice, then save your game (The save area will be blank, just scroll down so you don't overwrite any of your mid-game saves). Then just simply quit the game and find you save and reload it. You can also scroll up to read what you missed though it will show up weird it doesn't seem to crash the game to go back and re-read text that crashed it.

God damn me sucking at Rhythm games. I've been stuck on Fal's song for the last half hour.
I love the game, but for fucks sake what do you mean, FSFSFKFSFSFKFSFSFKFSFSDKFS...etc, sequences?
You lose the rhythm to that, you've lost the passing grade.

I just switched to the auto mode for that "Ame no Musique" I think that's the hardest song in the game to beat

I've got the same problem. I've set my regional settings to japanese and all that stuff, still doesn't work for me. I'm running on windows 7.

Try looking on the first and second page, make sure all regional settings is nothing but Japan(yea i guess you did that), or try twinker with the SR registry file like what the post on the top said. Anything passed that, I don't really know x_x

3) Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Borland>Locales
4) Change the name of the reg to your current location. For me it was C:\Program Files (x86)\KOGADO\SRTE\SR_qc.exe
Now it should work.

3) Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Borland>Locales

I tried, but when I open Software there is no Borland under it (or anywhere else I checked for that matter). Maybe because my computer is not American?
Is there an alternate way or search funtion to directly go to the Locales? Sorry, I'm obviously not what you would call bright with computers and most likely I'm asking something stupid
