seeing how the creator of the thread didn't reply nor fix the links (the original links are in MU) for almost 2 years, I don't think there's a need for permission at this rate. MU links being down is a scary pandemic and any relief for the warfront is very much appreciated. +rep for AiYoh

There's a need for permission since what is posted is direct links to the files in question when he's not probably the owner of them. If he linked to the page where you get the download links it would be different. The rules are clear.

First point is valid.
The second and third are the whole reason why I asked if he had permission. You see, he says "Credits goes to Kai from CraneAnime". We directly assume by that that the links were not uploaded by him. As of now there's no reference of being him the one who uploaded them so there's naturally doubt.
Once again, the reason of my previous question is what I just mentioned. If there's some misunderstanding I'm all for clearing it up.

Please don't take what I say in the wrong way. It's just that until KLoWn allows something like that, the rules should be followed without making others assume that the post doesn't meet the required criteria.

Instructions
- Extract the files and mount the "SRTE.ISO" in the "Main Game" folder to install the game. If you notice a error during installation, access the contents of the disc image and run the "Setup.exe" in compatibility mode for Windows 95 and in admin mode.
- Install the english patch by running the "[TLWiki]_Symphonic_Rain_English_Patch_Beta2_[317107F7].exe" in the "English patch + Fix" folder. Run it in admin mode. Read the README that you see when you're trying to install the english patch and confirm the folder where you have your game installed.
- Install the "Essai.ttf" font that you find in the "English patch + Fix" folder and also copy it to the folder where you installed the game.
- Copy the "Scr_qc.pak" that you also find in the "English patch + Fix" folder to the game folder replacing the previous file.
- Run the "SR.reg" that you find in the folder where you installed the game and confirm the registry changes.
- Play running the "SR_qc.exe".

I want to thank you for your upload and instructions for installing the game, I had a bit of trouble with the register file, but after reading the earlier posts in this thread I solved the problem.


This Game was wonderful and the final Route was totally worth doing all the other routes for. The fact that it also had the music mini-games also helped take a break from just excessive reading which was nice. I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't played many "Non-H" VN's, but I am glad I took the time to play this one. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a lovely story. (Especially the final route which is my favorite <3)
