((OOC: This is a joint post between Rise-chan and menolly-hime.))
Maybe I should go talk to her..., Menolly thought to herself. Nodding, she went into the entrance of the cafe after Haruka, then called her name out softly, looking around. She didn't see her anywhere immediately and tilted her head in confusion.
"Haruka-san...?"
"The Grief Seed hasn't hatched yet...meaning I have time to get to it before it rampages," Haruka spoke to herself calmly. She was yet to know that right outside the door stood Menolly. The entrance to the barrier lay before Haruka. Haruka shined brightly, it was enough for her light to shine through Menolly's eyes as well. Through that light, her clothes transfigured to that of her own battle-dress, which almost looked like a wedding dress.
Seeing the bright light, Menolly looked over to the source and saw Haruka enveloped in it. Her eyes widened, she yelled out in surprise and fell backwards. "H-Haruka-san?!" she yelled, confused beyond belief. She looked at Haruka carefully, noticing the strange outfit and trying to find the source of the light. However, she was shaking too much and could only try and clear her confusion by getting a response from the girl in front of her. I-is that even H-Haruka-san...? Menolly wondered to herself.
"Menolly-chan?! W-What are you doing here!?", Haruka's eyes too, widened, it was quite the surprise for her to meet her new friend so soon...somewhere where she shouldn't be.
"What i-is that, Haruka-san?" Menolly gestured to the light with shaky hands. "And I c-came here to apply f-for a job!" she added on, slowly climbing to her feet. Although she felt unsteady, Menolly took a step forward towards Haruka.
"Ah well... its just the light from err... um... the transformation?" she paused...the moment was really awkward and she didn't know what do to. Should she just explain everything to her and drag her into this abnormal world that she lives in everyday? Or should she just not let her into it and lie to her? But then if she were to lie, then how? She witnessed far too much.
"Menolly-chan...do you watch the news on TV? This got closed down days ago, I broke the lock to get in," Haruka replied, slightly disappointed now of all times.
"O-oh... transformation? What does that mean?" She paused for a moment, listening to Haruka speak. "No, I don't have a TV currently...I didn't know. Wait, what? Why would you need to get in a closed down shop so bad that you broke the lock?" Menolly's voice shook, becoming suspicious that her new friend wasn't so nice after all. As much as she didn't want to believe it, it seemed very likely with her admitting to breaking in.
"What's going on, Haruka-san? I feel like this is bad... and I so very much don't want to think that," she stepped closer again, frowning.
"Ahahaha... well... how should I put it..." Haruka was at a loss for words and was yet to decide as to how to answer Menolly's question regarding the transformation. "Wait... are you implying that I'm a thief?! WHAT AN INSULT!", Haruka lost her cool, and got carried away at this moment but then continued, "Ah! Sorry for shouting like that, Menolly-chan bu-".
Haruka felt the Grief Seed almost reaching its time to hatch, "I'm sorry, but I no longer have time, we'll talk later!". Haruka turned around and started running and went through the entrance, a creepy looking small gate just some more inches bigger than the average height of a child.
