Harris was heading towards the cockpit, passing the meeting room on his way ther before he recieved a message from Bohr, sounded urgent so Harris turned around only to see Rick rush out of the meeting room and meeting up with Bohr and, what seemed to be a feverish Teal, into the med-bay. "Oh boy, this doesn't sound like good news. . . and I bet I'll have to examine her with everybody there. . . not a very good work environment." Harris gave a sigh as he walked towards the med-bay.
"Alright, step aside," Harris said as he walked into the med-bay, which seemed to be crowded with too many people right now. Harris gave a sigh, "Alright, everybody that DOESN'T need medical attention, please get out." Harris said in an annoyed tone while pointing to the door. Bohr and Rick walked outside and Harris popped his head out, "I understand you guys are worried about Teal but I don't like it when people crowd up my work space, especially when I have to actually work." With that final remark, Harris locked the med-bay door and a small, red light went on above the door.
Harris sighed again, "Finally, more space," Harris walked over to Teal lying down on the medical table. "Hmm, what may the problem be. . . " Harris said as a rhetorical question while he observed the symptoms Teal had. He snapped his fingers, "I got it!" Harris pointed his index finger in the air and then to Teal, leaning close to her, "Dear old captain's gotten you pregnant, hasn't he. . . " Harris said in a joking matter, looking at Teal's puzzled expression.
After a short silence, Harris chuckled, "I kidd, I kidd. He already knew it was a fever, his face changed from a smile to a serious expression, "In all seriousness, you've got a pretty bad fever, maybe an infection from your shoulder wound. It's quite rare for wounds that are properly treated to get infected but I would think it happened when it got re-opened." Harris took a closer look at her shoulder, moving her leather jacket over so he can see the bandages. A small patch of puss-yellow surrounded by a larger red-patch on the surface of the bandage. Harris shook his head, "Doesn't look. . . that bad but it's still pretty bad, I'l have to treat the wound so, if you could lie down for a bit longer, that'd be nice." Harris grabbed some equipment from his cupboard, making sure they were sterilized.
A few minutes later and a brand new bandage was wrapped over Teal's shoulder, the old one being properly disposed and her wound closed up and disinfected. "Kay then, your wound should be fine as long as it doesn't reopen again and your fever should go away by the time we land on the Atlantica. . . whenever that is. . . Anyway, take two of these every hour and the fever will go away." Harris handed her a bottle of pills as she got up and he helped her off the medical table. "I wonder if those two are still waiting outside. . . " Harris unlocked the door and the red light switched off.
