After a few moments, Nira sees Rick heading her way. She tries to speaking to Rick.
"Excuse me, Walken. I would like to tell you that I do not wish to partici—"
Rick doesn't notice her plea, and cuts her off before she could finish, saying,
"Right, you don't really know your way around the ship. Follow me."
Rick quickly brings Nira into the engine room, where her eyes meet with the crew of the Infinity. Some held stern expressions, noticing her for several moments, and then quickly shifting their gaze elsewhere; others held surprised expressions, not having seen her before and her peculiarities. Regardless, in each of their eyes, Nira could see it, the resolve that they all had—the resolve to fight. They each had eyes which acknowledged the hand that firmly rested on each of their shoulders, tightly grasping them—
—the hand of Death, which waited patiently, coveting the moment that they will sink into the flesh and seize the forsaken soul.
These were eyes of soldiers. It did not matter if they were strong and trained, or weak and helpless. They were soldiers, whom hold Death dearer and closer than any lover, family, or friend.
Nira quickly bows to them as a courtesy, acknowledging them as her comrades. Although she did not yet trust them, they were of the same kind—the kind which risk their lives to take another's. Nira quietly walks over and stands distantly at a more secluded part of the room, as Rick continued to speak to another person.
After a short time passes, Rick speaks to the group,
"Alright, pick up your gear, form a circle and cross arms with the people beside you. Chain up and hold together tight."
Nira complies and obeys. She could see that she and the other personnel had gathered around a device—most likely a teleportation device in order to get to their destination. It then occurs to her—Rick had never stated where they were going, nor what they were going to do. She opens her mouth to ask, but as she does so, Rick panics with a great fear in his voice.
"What the fuck?!"
At that moment, Nira could feel the disruption of kinetic forces throughout the ship. Some release their grip in panic and let go, as a sudden bright light engulfs all of them...
Nira's finds herself in mid-air, falling. Her vision, which had been crushed by white vacuity, returns to her. Looking at her trajectory of descent, she could see a grey, dark surface. Calmly responding to the situation, Nira gracefully lands on the surface, crouching, with one hand placed in front of her to support her fall. Nira's long, white hair envelops her body, covering part of her face; she pushes it aside, tucking her bangs behind her left ear. She shifts her gaze 'forward', although Nira had not yet verified her senses of direction. A poorly-lit hallway comes into view, its surface seemingly made of grey and black metals. There were no other entities in her general proximity.
Nira could only wonder where she was. An interior of a complex? A ship? Was it in space, or on a planet? If it were necessary, Nira could easily verify an answer to such questions. However, before anything, she noticed it—a strong flow of malice. She felt it as a sensation that diverged throughout her body. It was similar to the feeling of rushing, flowing water. It spoke of lies, hatred, and hostility. Nira could feel the malice a distant ways from her. Although she did not know where she was, she could infer one thing:
This was a battlefield.
For a brief moment, Nira is filled with anguish. She feels as though her life had never changed. Here she was, returning to the fields of carnage, seared flesh, and blackened blood, with the smell of ash and rotting carcasses that she was so used to feeling. It had only been several hours since her new life as an individual had begun, and she had already stepped within the hells of war, once more.
Without any proper orders from her commander, Nira could not act. Nira lets a sigh escape her lips, lamenting her commander's incompetence once more. Although silly, her code of conduct for herself was very strict. Unless something invokes her sense of justice, she cannot make any assumptions. She had nothing in which to denote her enemies. Furthermore, if she did not need to fight, she would not do so. Nira determines her objectives; she taps into her Gilgamesh System, and accesses it, giving it commands while it responds with assessment and briefing of its own, all of which happen in the most minuscule fractions of a second.
- GILGAMESH SYSTEM—OPERATIONAL AT 33%, MAXIMUM ACTIVE CAPACITY AT 54%. -
Nira had not fully recovered yet. How well the Gilgamesh System was working was generally a very accurate estimate of how healthy she was. She could not overexert herself, but she was more than capable to proceed effectively, even in her current condition.
- All systems nominal. -
- Detecting no entities of centrifugal force. -
- Detecting one non-planetary entity of gravitational force, and one planetary entity of gravitational force. -
Such information denoted that she was not orbiting, thus it was unlikely they were on a planet. The single non-planetary gravitation force would indicate the gravity mechanism in this area; such would indicate that she was in a space complex or a space ship, as those two are the most likely to need and have gravity-generating mechanisms. Nira holds some resentment toward Rick, as such a task would have been unnecessary had she been briefed properly beforehand, reflecting his ineptness as a commander. Nira could only wonder of how such an incompetent man would have become a leader...
First, Nira must regroup with the crew. She had memorized every face and figure that was in the room with her earlier. Almost every minute facial and body feature was engraved into her memory—a feat that was truly remarkable.
To regroup with the crew, she must determine their general locations, as they have been separated.
She could sense no presence of any human in a rather large proximity. However, she could hear an incredibly faint sound. With the simplest of cogitations, and with less effort than moving any muscle, Nira taps into her temporal implant and Lyman implant. Nira's auditory senses amplify several-fold, and she could discern sounds of projectile weaponry; it was a ways behind her, but... it seemed to be... downwards. Nira turns around, toward the sound; she sees the rest of the hallway, its path seeming to bifurcate at the end, heading into directions where her eyes could not perceive from where she stood. Nira calculates her direction naturally, following her meticulous instinct. Finally, Nira initiates the active abilities of the Gilgamesh System.

Fifty-four seconds in her current condition. Perhaps it is not enough? Or perhaps was it more than enough?
Nira breaks into a speeding dash down the hallway at extraordinary speeds—at around ten meters per second. With the inertia of such speed too strong, Nira cannot simply turn so sharply; as Nira approaches the end of the hallway, she leaps into the air, kicking both her feet toward the wall. Her feet impact the wall... soundlessly. Nira crouches and grasps the wall with her right hand with the impact. As gravity and physics would dictate, Nira would fall downward... she should have. However, as if to mock and defy logic, Nira manages to stand upright from the wall; her feet seemed to cling to it, as if gravity had been manipulated for her and her alone. However, this illusion only seemed partial, as Nira's long white hair suspended sideways from her head, partially draping over her torso, towards the floor. Nira continues her dash, running along the wall of the hallway, instinctively calculating her direction. Ahead, she could see the path of the wall turning downward. Nira calculates her steps, landing her last footstep on the very edge, where the path of the wall turns—and she leaps into the diverging hallway, toward the wall on the other side, kicking her feet towards it. Nira lands and continues to run down the hallway, now on the left wall, while counting each second that passed.
Six seconds had passed.
Nira continues down the premeditated path, jumping from wall to wall, not once ever touching the floor. The sounds of gunshots, screams, and loud footsteps become more and more discernible.
Fourteen more seconds had passed.
After jumping into another hallway, landing on the wall, Nira could see a group of five men running towards her. Nira simply follows them with her eyes, and they run past her, ignoring her. No, that was not entirely correct. They didn't notice her. They
couldn't notice her. The men seemed to be equipped with older bullet-projectile weaponry, and very light armor; some even had but simple clothing. Some had large builds, and a few had slender builds. Nira decides to follow them.

Nira seems to detach from the wall, and she lands on the ground with her feet. She follows behind the men at a brisk pace as they enter into what Nira could recognize as an elevator. As the five men enter, Nira closes in on the door, jumps upward into the elevator, toward the ceiling—

Nira's hands cling firmly to the surface. She then pulls her feet upward, placing her feet on the ceiling as well, planting them firmly. The men do not notice or respond in the slightest.
Ten more seconds passed.
Nira was now in a tight situation. If she does not respond auspiciously, she will fall and reveal herself. However, such situations were already second nature to deal with, for her. Before her hair could drift and extend downward, Nira sweeps the strands and locks of hair with one of her arms, keeping them draped so they do not touch the men below her. A man seems to access the console near the door, and the elevator begins to quickly descend downward. Nira meticulously and precisely leaps off the ceiling, landing behind the group of men, fitting in the narrow space between the men and the wall. As she lands, Nira pulls back her hair before it could undulate outward. After a few seconds, the elevator stops, the doors open, and the men file out. As the last man proceeds out—
- Maximum duration attained for active functions. -
- Kinetic noise gate: deactivated. -
- Lux gate: deactivated. -
- Lentus field: deactivated. -
Nira proceeds out of the elevator, her footsteps now audible—but only barely; her faint steps intermingled with the noise of boots stomping the ground, as the men run quickly down one of the hallways. Tapping into her implants, she could distinguish three locations of conflict. Of those three, she should find Rick. Before she could proceed, however, she needed to rest. Using the active functions of the Gilgamesh System was demanding on her body. She had not eaten much, and she had not fully recovered, either.
Though, all seemed to be proceeding well. Nira could feel no anxiety, no thrill, no fear; such life-and-death situations of this caliber were simple, monotonous, and commonplace. Nira walks down one of the hallways, not taking the same path that the men had, earlier. As she proceeds, she could see a room, upcoming on her right. Nira activates her retinal and occipital implants, changing her visual perception. Finding no presences in the room, she slides opens the steel door, entering inside. She deactivates her enhanced vision, and several operating tables come into view. There were also several bunks, and many cabinets attached to the walls—this was an infirmary. Nira begins to scour through the cabinets, opening them one by one until she finds a large, white cylindrical container. She takes it and opens it, revealing many white capsules. These were nutrition pills, which had made roughly around 99% of Nira's diet through the course of her entire life thus far. Nira takes two and consumes the tasteless capsules. Universally, these capsules were created so that most humans only need to take one for every meal; however, Nira required two to sustain both herself and the consumption of the implants she had. Nira pours several capsules from the container into her hand, and she places them into one of the pockets of her uniform. After she returns the container to the cabinet, Nira reaches for the door... but she pauses, as she hears loud footsteps outside. Activating her enhanced sight, she sees a group of seven men run down the hallway in front of her, in the same direction that the other men had went. Quietly opening the door, Nira steps into the hallway, and briskly follows the men. She would have to be careful; her stealth abilities were unavailable at the moment. However, Nira had another thought. Perhaps, she could...
She catches up with the men, seeing them file into an elevator. Nira calmly walks forward into their view, and her eyes meet with theirs. Their gaze focuses on Nira, but they do not act. After a few moments, one of the men yells,
"Hey, hurry up, you bitch! What're you stallin' around for?!"
The man spoke to her with a rude demeanor, but there was no hostility.
They believed Nira was one of their own. Of course, Nira had expected this, for such were the flaws in not establishing a set uniform or a system of verification; there was nothing concrete to distinguish friend from foe; all whom bore arms were enemies.
Nira steps into the elevator as the doors close behind her, and the elevator begins to descend downward several floors. The sounds of gunfire and explosions are now clearly heard; Nira knew she was now at the correct floor. The elevator stops, and its doors slide open. The men quickly scatter out of the elevator, each of them heading down different hallways. To her left, she could hear the source of gunfire and bellowing war-cries, as well as a strong concentration of malice. Surely, she would find the crew in that direction. Nira taps into her Gilgamesh System.

- Approximate duration of active functions: 11 seconds. -
Nira bolts down the hallway with incredible speed. She leaps into the air, clinging her feet to the ceiling, and continues to dash forward.
Nine seconds left.
A few of the men she had seen earlier took cover behind the walls, peeking out into a hallway to fire their weapons. Specifically, they fired their weapons towards a room.
—There.
Five seconds left.
Nira leaps to the top of the door, swinging her body inside with her hands and arms, using the top of the door frame as the fulcrum. She evades the stray incoming bullets, and lands on the ceiling with her feet.
One second left.
Nira leaps off the ceiling landing behind a man whom she recognized. As the active functions wore off, Nira taps the man several times on the shoulder. As he turns around, Nira takes several steps back and bows, saying,
"Walken... I have reported for my orders."
