Nova Chasers (A space Western role-play)

The professor walked pass Harris and Teal, without even a passing glance. Harris didn't feel much for it but it seemed that Teal felt annoyed that he didn't at least say hello, she turned to Harris "What's with him?"

Harris shrugged as he turned back to watch the professor head off towards the cockpit. After the professor left Harris' line of sight, Harris turned back to Teal. "I don't know, but judging from how he was during the briefing, I'd say he's quite a serious person, he didn't really respond well with Rick's jokes."

Suddenly, the ship began to shake a little and the intercom came to life as Rick began to speak. "Hold tight, you sons-of-bitches! We're about to land." Harris gave a sigh as he began to get up. "Finally."

The ship becomes a little shaky for a moment, but then passes quickly.

"Apparently, no you won't. You like me having cleaning up your messes like I'm your mother.", I say making a snide remark as I finish cleaning. "Now, do you need me to come with you in getting the diplomat, or can I go run some errands that I need to get done?"

I sighed in relief as the ship docked; It was beginning to become quite cramped. I stood up slowly and patted any dust off my back and butt.I adjusted my ponytail, messing it up in the process. "Damn..." I mumbled under my breath as I redid my hair.

I was bored and played with my appearance as I waited for the Captains orders. I didn't really care for how I looked, but it was a force of habit to always look my best. As the ship finally turned off, I felt a little dizzy, like I was going to get a serious case of ship legs. I shook the sensation out of my legs and looked over to see The professor and Richard walking towards us.

As Harris did a stretch, he noticed Rick and the professor heading their way. (This is an odd pair. . . and in some ways a perfect pair as well. . . ) he thought to himself, giving a sigh.

As the two got closer, Harris gave a non-chalant smile and a slight wave. "So, Captain, are we heading off meet the target?"

((OOC: Seriously, Kei? Did those recent Hetalia yaoi doujins affect you or something?))

"Whatever. Let's go. We're here. Ave, stay put. We'll be back soon."

With that, Rick got up and walked out of the cockpit, with the professor ranting and following behind. Harris speaks up as they got closer to him and Teal, standing nearby.

"So, Captain, are we heading off meet the target?"

"Yes, we are. Prep up. And don't say that 'target' remark to them out loud. They're quite the touchy people."

((OOC: Never read them and I do not know what you are talking about))

Harris shrugged and took out one of his FMG-9s, still folded in, from it's holster on the inner side of his trench coat and held it's carrying handle so that it looked like a briefcase. He turned to Teal who, when she got up, was slightly dizzy.

"You're not used to space travel, are you?" Harris asked as he reached for a medicine bottle inside his pack. "Take these, they help with ship sickness." He offered the medicine bottle to Teal.

I took them and swallowed two capsules easily. They were quite small so I did not need water. "Thank you, I really appreciate this."

Everyone was preparing and gathering there weapons. I took out two knives from my pouch and stuck them into a hidden compartment in my sleeves. This will give me the fastest access to them in a sudden fight.

I looked at Richard, Harris and the professor. I was glad that I had people that actually cared about me and even if they didn't, at least they did not try to make me feel like trash. "Okay, I'm ready."

I watch the spectacle going on in silence, then I decide to speak my mind again.

"I guess I'll take your silence on my question as an affirmation that I can go run my own errands."

I turn to the "girl" and finally speak with her for once.

"Mind if I have a couple of those. I might not look like I get the space-legs, but it always takes me a half hour to get my regular legs back if I don't take the pills.", I say as I hold out my hand, waiting.

"Hurry it up! I'll only open the doors when you're all completely ready."

Rick taps his foot in impatience.

Rick stood by the loading ramp, tapping his foot in impatience. Harris stood beside him, imitating Rick by also tapping his foot but kept a poker face on to hide his amusement.

((OOC: Gonna be busy for a while, will post whenever I get the chance

I handed the bottle to him and smiled warmly. It might not have been the realest smile but I tried my hardest to show respect. "Here you go, sorry for hogging"

Richard then became impatient. I was ready to go and I waited along with him.

Getting agreement from Teal and Harris, Rick smiles and speaks up, before letting the professor say anything.

"We're ready, then! Prepare for your first step into Windia, people!"

He pushed a switch and the huge bay doors started to open.

"Oh, you may want to cover your eyes a little. The first blast of wind always stings."

After saying this, Rick takes out some Aviator glasses and puts them on.

A gust of wind blew ferociously at my body as the doors opened. My skin stung and I almost got dust in my eyes but I blocked then in just enough time. As the wind subsided, the sun practically blinded me. I did not realize how dim the lights were on the ship. My eyes adjusted slowly but surely. " that was unexpected..."

I squinted my eyes but followed the men out onto the land. My hand wanted to grab out to someones shirt for support but I refused. I blinked a couple of times and I got my vision back. The wind whipped me around and whirred in my ear. I really hope this doesn't become a problem, I thought to myself and I stood next to Richard as he halted to a stop.

I take a couple of the pills from the bottle the girl handed me, than shoved the bottle into my pocket. I don't have to wait long for the door to open, as the Captain hit the switch for the door as I took the pills. As the door opened, there was a huge gust of wind coming in through the door, but it didn't bother me none. My history saw to that.

So after the door opened, I jumped through and ran my way toward the nearest building.

As the doors opened, Harris reached into his pen pocket and took out his pair of slim frame glasses with slightly tinted lenses and put them on, sighing as he remembered where the planet got it's name from. He looked over to Rick who had a pair of aviator shades on and thought little of it, giving a small shrug to his thoughts as he turned back to the view and walked out of the ship

Turning back, he noticed Teal having problems adjusting to the brightness, he was going to go and offer help but knew that she would adjust soon so he continued following Rick. As he walked, he saw the professsor walk off past them to a nearby building. (personel errands of his, if I recall what he said) Harris thought to himself as he kept on walking

Avery of course did not walk out with them, staying on the ship as Richard asked. So, with a bit of wind whipping at him from the cargo bay, he strode back to the cockpit and switched Fi's volume back on.

"Oh sure now that Ms Stutter is all gone now you wanna talk to me."

"Yeah yeah I know, whatever. Do you want to continue our chess game or not?"

He half hoped for a no, since she was way better at chess than he was, but you couldn't exactly play cards with something that had no hands.

"Yeah I guess so"

((I'm just going to go ahead with my part, since it is different from everyone else's.))

As I enter the building, I can start to feel the warmth start to return to my exposed extremities that the wind took away, as I didn't wear my coat. I slightly stagger my way through the crowd to the elevators in the back of the building. I had to wait for a couple elevators before I could get on, because of the crowd. The elevator was going up, and I hit the top floor button. It took a while with all the stops on the way, but as soon as the elevator hit the top floor, I "shoved" everyone off of the elevator, and shut the doors on the people trying to get on.

"I was told this was going to be easy, but I guess that isn't the case granted my tight time table.", I say to myself as I hit the hidden button bellow the L12 button (12 floors below the ground floor I originally got on at). This button said L20, when hit, and given that I was at F47, it was going to take awhile.

After listening to that damn elevator music for the last 5 mins, I finally make it to the L20 level. I get off after hitting the L12 button.

I make my way down the long dark tunnel to the large rusted iron doors. I take the knocker in my hand, and use the special pass phrase. The doors open, and I'm admitted to the next hallway. I take an immediate right, and follow the hall to the last door on the left. There, I do the special knock again, which opens the door again.

I make my way to the end of the table, being the last to arrive, and put on the ceremonial cap. The Arch-Anarchist hat, one step below the highest, (essentially) the Anarchist-Pope. Since I was the highest rank present, I proceeded to start the meeting.

"My fellow Anarchists, welcome to Windia.", I say with an evil grin on my face, getting the usual greeting from the lower ranks.

"As you may know, the princess from this planet is heading towards the peace summit meeting at New Britannia. Now, I know we don't want these talks to continue, and I will see to that, if I can. But, we must not kill the princess. Take her hostage if you must, but let this captain, Richard Walken, do what he wills for now. We must not let any of them learn of our bigger plans.", I say to the fellow anarchists.

I pause for a few moments to get everyone quiet again.

"I think I have successfully infiltrated the ship. It is unfortunate that I must be on the opposite side during this conflict, but it must be that way so that the plans may proceed uninhibited. And don't anyone dare challenge my loyalty to the Anarchists. I've been here for the past 18 years, even before I joined the Military Brass, and I've still held firm the ideals of those of the Anarchists. So, my fellow brothers, let us go into this with the greater good in mind! Let us fight for Anarchy and Freedom!", I shout as I end my speech, rallying the anarchists behind the plan. After a few more minutes of minor clerical details, I make my way back to the elevator, and go up to the first floor, and exit the building, making my way back to the ship.

As the door finally opens, they set their sight on the main spaceport of Windia. It was literally a futuristic kingdom floating in the sky. The bright azure and white of the clouds above them in a mystic contrast with the crystalline and chromatic of the many shiny buildings spanning as far as the eye could see.

"Now this is sight you'd have to be dead to get tired of."

He looks back just in time to see Bohr pass him to quickly scurry into a building.

"Don't take too long to piss, you hear? We'll wait for you here and then go together."

While waiting, Rick looked past Harris to see Teal struggling with her first taste of Windia's well-known gusts. He walks over to her, apparently talking to himself while doing so.

"Look after the ship, Ave. And for God's sake, no more dirty talking with Fi. I do not want to come back to that milky sight and rancid stench next time."

He finally reaches her and puts a hand on her head, as if she was just a child.

"You OK, kitten? Here, lemme help you with that. And let's get that ponytail out of the way. I want you to look your best in front of loyalty."

After taking off her scrunchie without permission, he messes around with her hair a little more before letting it fall down naturally.

"There. Don't worry, the wind shouldn't be a bother anymore."

He winks and walks back.

((OOC: Guys, I'm stepping out for a while. I don't want too much plot advancement without me.))

Harris stood there, gazing at the towering buildings above him, with a nostalgic smile on his face. "Ah, it sure has been a while. Not much has changed at all, it almost looks exactly how I remembered it last time. . . besides a few different things, of course." Harris said to himself. During his time in the military, Harris had gone to Windia several times during his missions.

He turned back to Teal, who just stood there at the end of the loading ramp. "This is your first time you've been to Windia, isn't it? What do you thin of it so far? Harris was in a nostalgic mood, looking at familiar buildings and sites from where he stood.

((OOC: time to get the ball rolling, I hope))

"kitten?...." I looked up slight and met eyes with Richard. I was quite surprised by him suddenly pulling my ponytail out. My face grew red an I was embarrassed greatly. "thank you..." I said quietly.

I looked around slowly, wide eyed and smiling. The scenery was amazing and breath taking. "This is your first time you've been to Windia, isn't it? What do you thin of it so far?" My thought was broken as Harris spoke to me.

"Yes, it's windy. Other than that, quite... Enchanting." I smiled at him and was ready to go.
