I seen the whole anime last weekend. Pretty good and probably one of the saddest anime I have seen, next to Elfen Lied. It would've been nice to see the other characters' pasts , especially TK's. Btw am I the only one that thinks that Yuri looks like Haruhi Suzumiya?

So...I am not sure how much of this information is valid, but, it looks like we are either getting a prequel or a sequel to Angel Beats in the spring of 2011. MAL had a page up about it, but they just took it down.

Not really sure if that would be a good or bad thing to hear.
I can't really imagine a prequel with most of their pasts already shown and the plotline being as it is. And as we all know, most of the sequels suck hard. Except for showing the main characters next lives, which could be nicely done in 1-2 OVA episodes though.

Definitely! She was probably my favorite girl on the show, (although there were a lot of strong female characters so it's hard to decide)



Well, maybe a prequel with all of the characters that pasts weren't fleshed out, or perhaps, a new crew trying to make it through the afterlife? I could definitely see the 1-2 OVA episodes being possible, though.

I doubt they would show anything beyond the ending unless it were a fully-fledged sequel, because closing the book and then opening it again for a bit extra kind of ruins that 'finality'. There will either be some OVA with trivial action in the middle of the story (pre-drama) or some back stories, which I would personally really like. Spending the best part of two episodes finding out about Yui and then skipping everyone else made it feel like they ran out of time/money, imo.

That page worries me a tad, though. I really wouldn't want an equally long or longer series with an entirely new cast, unless it was somehow an absolute classic, and I can't really see how they could expand on the concept at all. Plus, plagiarism aside, I'm pretty damn fond of the characters as they are.

Yeah, you are probably right, but it would be nice to see Kanade and Otonashi and the others in their new lifes, and if they will meet again/make their new lives better. Your idea about the OVA's spotlighting characters that we really didn't get to know, (like T.K), would be an awesome idea, though.

well what can i say I LOVED THIS from the first bit of the intro to the final credits i thought it was very well done sure i wish there was more back story on some of the very funny characters and i think maybe one more episode with more information on what happen next would of been a major plus for me but overall the story told here is a very good one and i woild recommend it to almost anyone

I just can't say much other than its so great!!

I cant really say what angel beats would be like without the angel kanade.

So I finally got to watch this anime. In truth, I was already expecting this to be a good anime, since KEY is involved....

What I wasn't expecting was that this was not a good show.... rather, it was an awesomely spectacular series.

I didn't think that I would marathon it.... now i'm paying the consequence.

The ONLY complain for this anime was "WHY IS THIS ONLY 13 EPISODES?!?!"

Yeah, that's pretty much everyone's complaint with the series. At least we are getting an OVA with the Blu Ray releases.

Really? That's great. I haven't checked in on the series so I wouldn't know. The whole thing seemed to rushed and had very little character development.

Cool, hope the episode comes on the internet though, the blue ray was just to expencive when I saw it, do you have another site that's on? I can't watch it for some reason.
