Anime getting shitty?

While I agree with Kai mostly, I must also say that anime is getting shitty.

Original ideas? Cool. But forcing perverted shit into the anime every damn chance they have? No.

And that's exactly why Ben-to sucked terribly. Would've been good if they stayed true to the main theme. But they just had to include that Shiraume cunt whose purpose remains unseen through the whole season, that fujoshi chick, which like Shiraume, no purpose there at all, and Sato coming off as some boy deprived of sexual stimulation.

The idea is original, I liked it etc, but I disapprove of them making it seem as if the watchers are all boobs-desperate virgins. =/

Honestly people needs to stop thinking that "Oldies = Better in all aspect", and watch more anime. You think Oldies is not as ecchi and mindless as now? Think again.

I agree, oldies don't have better plots and substances, what they do have are DIFFERENT plots and substances. Just because they had different plot doesn't make current generation animes have less. It's just that people don't recognize what they're not used to and tend to look at that unfamiliarity as a void. Infact I tend to look at the current generation animes as more substancial because I see more freedom in the way they're written. Before, incest and similar genres would be crucified so fast that's why we were stuck with transforming robots that looked like minecraft generated bricks. But now that society have become more accepting of the concepts, anime isn't afraid to tackle such issues anymore and the genre of today's anime varies so much compared to the old days. Honestly some people are just suffering from nostalgia.

In an unrelated topic, DNA^2 was not a good experience for me because them Americans (figuratively, you do know what 'American' means in terms of internet meme)dubbed it and the people they used were so horrible that every scene sounded like the characters were drunk. I'll try finding some subbed ones.

Gotta admit though, this season is one of the worst. I'm mostly only going to watch continuing shows from last season (Guilty Crown, Chihayafuru, Last Exile, Shana) and Zero no Tsukaima F, Aquarion EVOL, and Rinne. The rest I'll stick around until I inevitably think its shit and scrap them.

Exactly. I don't really hate the newer animes at all. But that doesn't mean that I'm stupid and dunno what "true" animes are or something.

I'll have to be fair here and debate on a neutral ground though. Where there's the people who's simply there to enjoy boobs and panties. We as seekers of content have being responsible as well for pirating our weekly dosage of animation.

Surveys have shown that people who generally side towards anime "Anime" doesn't spend quite as much as their counter parts , the moe "anime". This include goods like accessorise, artbooks etc. Which thus, when compared to the moe lovers, they make the more prefered target for making money out off. (lol, simple bastards.)

The market is a cruel place, if it doesn't make money, it wouldn't continue to make such stuffs. Your dealings with the internet pirate is of such a result, that while we hold the right knowledge of what to see in an anime, the moe lovers hold the right duty as a fan of the anime to support the franchise.

Right knowledge + Purchase = profit for both sides.

So start doing what's right, Your action speaks louder than your mouth.

Also, there have been plenty of great new series, as well as ones which aren't as good. This is also evident in "old anime"; there were good series and series that weren't good, though this is subject to opinion - it isn't a fact that a series is terrible, it's just that you simply didn't like it.

It's like Kaimax said, you need to watch more anime, because there are plenty of brilliant series that have aired and are currently airing. You need to sift through the series you like and dislike to highlight masterpiece series e.g. Angel Beats, Steins;Gate, Nichijou (this is my opinion and will most likely not align with yours). This was the same for "old anime", not every single anime back then was good.

Getting angry at an anime is actually different to not liking it though.

Perhaps it was him expecting great things and then suddenly getting disappointed.

I really wouldn't know if anime is getting shitty or not. When I was 16 anime was important to me as crack was to an addict. when I was around mid 17. I started to lose interest in anime only because I had watched to much of it that I'd grown "bored" if you will

I'm just now igniting that old flame I had for anime, and am currently watch like 5 series all at once. of course I've also read a shit ton of manga so I'm currently trying to get back into that as well. but the thing is, is that theres so much out there that I can't watch (I've never hear of the anime or that name isn't in english and I'm too lazy to search on google what the main plot if of the anime)

When I was in school a few other kids would recommend anime to em but I kind of brushed them off because all they would recommend was "Naruto". and to be honest I hated that show. I think the most recent anime I've watch was "My Sister Can't be This cute" (or something like that. it was ok but it sure as hell doesn't beat Fooly Cooly or Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

First of all, in response with the OP, what the hell are you doing, comparing an anime that is just a casual anime with a oldies classic?

Again as Kaimax said, what the hell is up with people that want something that different and yet compares them with the old classics?

Most of the animes of a year AREN'T meant to be taken seriously and yet people take it to the ass saying, "DERP ANIME SUCKED BALLS, DERP DON'T MAKE SENSE, DERP DERP DERP WHY YOU NO BE LIKE COWBOY BEBOP OR YUYU HAKUSHO." Easy done deal, don't like it? Then don't even compare moderately okay to shit anime with TTGL, Fate/Zero, Steins; Gate, Cowboy Bebop and many other good animes that actually deserve a great rating.

Animes to pass time and give boners vs Animes that we enjoy of story content, progression, and plot twists.

I believe it's pretty obvious what the difference is and obvious where to draw the line between casual anime to great anime.
