Worst Anime Purchase

Yeah, I regret buying like four volumes of Naruto back in the day myself, as well as some of the early anime eps.

I bought the Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki series (or thinking it was the full series) for it to just be the third OVA out of 3.

I think there was some big mess up with it it says of the front "Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki: The Complete series". Didn't mention any thing on the box about it about it just being the 3rd OVA. There wasn't any thing that was clear to be the OVAs 1 & 2 though there was a box set just titled Tenchi Muyo at the time which I think was OVAs 1 & 2 by the time I tried to order it it was gone before I could get it. Trying to rewatched this after I enjoyed it on tv has been a right kill joy.

Information about it (Wikipedia is all I really got to go on) is kind of random and keeps changing what exactly the Ryo Ohki series was one piece of informion was there was the Tenchi Muyo series that was never fully finished then the Ryo Ohki series finished that series off, But now it just mentions it a the Ryo Ohki series and Tenchi Muyo as all of the various Tenchi series.

I bought the Bio-Boosted armor Guyver thinking that series is gonna be boss. Damn those series that are not supposed to end in the last episode and there is a load of storyline to be covered. I was so disappointed. I bought it in a convention and paid way more than I should have. Second worst buy would be comic party. Watched two episodes and thought it was a waste of time.

There ARE no anime and manga purchases possible here in Bangladesh! XD

Seriously though, there are a FEW, but that's it. Anything I get or take is usually satisfactory.

I got the first season of Bleach on DVD for $27 on sale. The DVDs are great, but I read on Amazon I would get a snazzy free poster, and when I got them, the box only had the DVDs. D: Other than that, I really don't make many bad anime buying choices, I do a shit-ton of research before buying most everything I get.

Its not really a 'worst' because it was a 'throw away purchase' that didnt hurt my wallet but Grenadier was painfull to watch! (Could've done without it TBH)

Thankfully I dont think ive bought hardly any trash. (Then again one mans trash is another mans... Hnnnnnnnggg) I tend to 'preview' before I buy anyway and I really cant think of any expensive flops that I might've bought at this moment in time. (Ergo Proxy was a struggle for me to get into but I kinda expected it to be a bit of a tough nut anyway so its not a problem)

I was at a convention and bought the first series of Black Lagoon on dvd. The person who sold it to me had covered the region underneath the packaging so when I got home I found that it wouldn't work on my dvd player since I'm from the UK and the dvd was American. I couldn't watch it for ages but eventually my dvd player died and when I bought a new one it happened to be region free so I could finally watch it.

probably everything I bought so far since Iam running out of cash. lol :D

Srsly though if there is one anime merchandise which was the worst purchase I did probably the bootlegs figures I got ranging from static scaled, gashapons and poseable ones.

I mean, yes, they are cute. But after the "yay, new things" rush is over and you realize you just bought stuffed toys with over 100 euros.. it makes bad things to my sense of selfworth.

Not that I would give them back. They are to me what jar of dirt is to Jack Sparrow. Just have to keep that stupidity from happening again.

Elfen Lied. It was my third box set purchase, and to date the only one I truly hate.

Full Metal Panic! Season 1. I ask myself why whenever I see the box. It must have been on sale and I was considering setting the money on fire anyways... that is the only answer I have.

The first anime DVD I purchased years ago, I didn't know what bootleg was at the time, but that's what it was. A bootleg DVD of K-ON. It came out in the UK today though so I will be buying the real DVD.

I regretted buying Vampire Knight SO MUCH. For me it was the biggest waste of time and money watching it, because for me it was plain shitty.

Black Blood Brothers... When I bought this and watched it I wanted to go see "Haruhi's Endless Eight" so I could break my mind, but I did not and I ended up watching Clannad & Clannad After Story. Thank god I was saved by that. Worst $20.00 I spent.
