Worst Anime Purchase

I think it's a good show mostly because it's a "drive by of randomness hitting you every second." Lord II Palazzo is the best character on that show, in my opinion, I can't spoil why, but watch it and you'll see why.

At least you guys got box sets, i was retarded enough then to buy bootleg anime DVD's for around $2 a piece. Man, I calculated everything and I think the grand total came to $40, that's already a lot where I live

I'm not sure about the conversion rate, but here in the US, $40 for 26 episodes of anime is sometimes a standard rate, other times a damn good deal. And $2 for a single DVD is fucking amazing, even for a bootleg.

When I was in middle school, I used to buy bootleg tapes of fansubbed DBZ for $15 apiece. Some had four episodes while others only had three. And the video quality was abysmal.

$40 for all the DVD's ... I live in the Philippines so its roughly 40 for a Dollar (I recall its a bit more)

Burst Angel on Blu-Ray, bought it cause it was on sale and Blu-Ray... Also a Dragonball-Z T-shirt when I was like 10 years old, never wore it ever.

Do you really expect a deep, intellectual story from a 13 episode anime? Come on man...

While I found this show to be entertaining, I've come to expect the least out of anything with under 25 episodes. Or maybe I've just become jaded.

You have. There are a number of wonderfully thought provoking anime under 25 episodes. Let's see... Haibane Renmei, Lain, Paranoia Agent, Eden of the East, Kino's Journey, Asatte no Houkou, Shigofumi, Spice and Wolf, Baccano, Steins;Gate... probably quite a few more than aren't rising to mind immediately. And don't get me started on all of those that I wouldn't consider 'intellectual' but still highly entertaining with less than 26 episodes.

To stay vaguely on topic, the only anime purchase I've ever regretted was a bootleg .hack//Sign set I bought when I was young and unknowing. They have the WORST subtitles ever. Actually, they're kind of hilarious to read, but I really would rather have spent the money on something legitimate and good for more than giggling over how bad mangled things get when translated from Japanese to Chinese to English by people who only know the middle of the three.

Key chains that I cant put anywhere, I always impulse buy them.

It's still in my closet shelf to this day.

Green Green. It was actually given to me, but I pretty much regret accepting it. It may not count as a purchase, but I figured I'd mention it since I loathe it.

Fake Burst Angel DVD set for 15$ in 2005. Horrible subbing + mediocre story + crappy ending = bad times. Should have used it towards a new dildo or something... lesson learned XD
