[Locked] Damn, Fakku.

Hi people. Thought I would throw my two cents in here.

I'm not against the subscription service. Its honestly not insane to charge someone for a quality product. Its almost alarming to believe that some members are angry that a site that has been shoving free quality content down there throats for years can give such insults to Fakku. Unless you have donated or supported Fakku in anyway shape or form, I'm fine with those who are angry, but to others, there should be nothing you should be angry about. You were warned about this. Although I am not subscribed, I've been a member of this site for almost 6 years, I do believe there should be incentive for some Fakku loyalists that can't afford the subscription service. I for one, don't believe I deserve a free subscription, but I do believe that some people on the forums that were actively pushing for content and things of that nature that can't afford the product should be able to have an alternative access to certain areas of the content. Like maybe free trials if you own Fakku products or things of that nature etc, I don't know.

All I do say is that I support change and I believe this change is for the good of Fakku.

Sorry if I have insulted anyone but I just thought I should post.

Can the moderators like... just resolve to posting a link to Jacob's post on the matter and close out topics about this immediately? I find these arguments tiring, and the more people I see acting like the world is ending and insulting staff here to more disappointed I am in the community. I'm new here, and to see this much stubborn behavior, hate, misinformation, and misunderstanding really hurts in regards to first impressions.

Of course there's an original. My point is that if anyone could create the original then they would. There wouldn't be any artist drawing because anyone could effortlessly do what he can do.

Scarcity AND demand. If what you're saying is true, then if all digital stuff magically disappeared from the internet they would suddenly have value again. This is ridiculous because if we're speaking from pure logic all those worthless things would become infinitely valuable because their scarcity would increase from infinitely many to finite. We all know this isn't true. If 10,000 people decide that a digital product is worth their $20 then it's as if you're trying to override 10,000 opinions with your own with reasoning I still don't understand. You're looking at this from a macro scale when in fact the value is different for everyone. Some people decide it's worth it and some don't. You might say well this is all arbitrary if that's the case. Yeah. You know what else is arbitrary? Money. The value of the US dollar is backed by nothing but consumer confidence.

I never said FAKKU is selling accounts. I said some random user would be the buyer who sees value in your account. You would be the seller. Would I buy that particular book for 25 cents? Probably not because I don't have any interest in that particular book. But I'm sure there's someone out there who would buy an account with that book on it for 25 cents.

My argument is that value is subjective. Market price is meaningless to me if I want something. If you buy something and you have it on your account then you have added personal value to your account. If you care about anything at all then you value it.

Goddamn, every time something happens, people cry about how it's so sudden, and they've lost all their shit. Little do they seem to realise it's been mentioned hundreds of times over the past year and a half right under their nose (I mean that literally, if they've just been lurking for porn, they would have scrolled past it).
The others whinging because they didn't notice the things right under their nose about what caused this (namely the take down notice). And then whinging that they could have kept the pirated content as well as the paid content, like the deal they made with the company that would have taken them down would allow that, or that would allow them to progress anywhere.

The simple truth is; You can't provide stolen goods, and sell legit goods. If you do, you'll piss people off, and find yourself owing money, and getting in trouble. It's not a viable business model, nor is providing stolen goods (thus why many scanlators do it for fun, because so many of you are all about the free porn, and don't donate to anybody, because you're so up yourselves).

If you can't afford it/ don't want to afford it, that's fine. But don't get all high and mighty about not paying for content, when the 'free' content you're reading is being provided by people who rely on donations, which you wouldn't give anyway. So, you're relying on other people paying for your goods.
Lesson in life: Nothing in life is free. Everything requires money. Just because you haven't paid, doesn't mean it was free (You're paying to access it funnily enough. Nobody has free net)

Well, this shouldn't be surprising but it is. Mostly because I've come here for free hentai out of habit for quite some time. Hopefully people will adjust and subscribe or get their free hentai fix elsewhere in the vast net.

Honestly, I hope we keep a lot of people that do funny joke comments about the content. Its weird but the comradery of other hentai fans was something unique to FAKKU (or maybe I just haven't delved further in the net). You'd check out something kinda interesting from the tags and art then see hilarious commentary about the content or someone's exasperation at fapping too much or some other random thing.

I haven't subscribed yet; bought some books...probably will buy more books. I would be sad if I lost my favorites but I hardly used it since I assumed it would all be there still then it wasn't. All good things, right?

Good luck to the community of FAKKU and FAKKU itself. I don't mind this change if it lets FAKKU get better books published and I cannot overstate to the site followers how awesome the funny comments were to read with the hentai. Happy 2016!

As someone who purchased the Subscription service just a month or two ago, I am sorely disappointed that I will not be able to access older or, more to the point, fringe-ier content. I am sure this decision was made in the interest of survival, but as a user, I am concerned with the availability of past material, legality be damned. As far as I am concerned, any service that offers things like permanent digital downloads (as Fakku used to) and/or keeps a permanent readable copy of all past publications, is more appealing and will get my business over one that takes a more tentative route. Fakku may yet survive this, but it will lose a lot of its appeal in the process. It will adapt to a different audience and be a shell of its former self. If no one steps up to host the services I want despite the legal problems, it will be a great loss to the community. The concept of Fakku will have died. I will miss it.

What you don't understand is this. Fakku isn't putting all the stuff behind a "paywall", but it's just that all content outside of the "paywall" IS ILLEGAL For FAkku, if they want to go Legal.

Only reason your post stayed unlocked was usually the first one made in relation to the numerous others that come after was first or was a somewhat sensible post. Also I laugh when people call people who support fakku elitists/defenders/warriors/loyalists/etc. Some may appreciate that title, but it's more or less the comments made in relation to opposing fakku are rather misguided, childish, nonsensical, absurd, or whatever else you wish to call them.

I fully understand that people are upset this site went from free to paid content. I wasn't all smiles and sunshine about it either. But I kept up with what was happening with fakku and I personally don't find it difficult to figure out what happened and why. Took me less then 5 minutes to piece all of this together through a couple of quick searches and asking properly. I also rationally looked at it as what happened and what fakku is doing as sensible and interesting. Chances of failing were there for sure, but they've been working hard (could see this even without me helping like I do on the side).

Also I just feel sympathetic for the people who run fakku having to deal with so much hurtful words and things being said. I can understand being upset about the changes, but lashing out at people trying to make a living and catering to the fans is rather uncalled for and unjustified. You can be upset, but you don't have to be such a dick about it. Just shows the level of maturity and the confidence people have when they can hide behind a screen using a persona. I'm pretty much the same behind and in-front of a screen, hard for me to be anything less really.

I just see all of this sensibly and realistically. I also go to quite a few other hentai sites on the side because I can't buy everything I want and enjoy in english, but if I could I would. It's why I support fakku's decision. I also hope that buy supporting their decision that content can become available for free or for trail periods where you don't have to pay initially. I know I'm interested in doing give-aways myself at some point if possible and have no problem using my own money to do that because I can and I would like to. I think the product is very nice and I have confidence in my eye for good things. Also the people running fakku are really cool, so if you don't know them personally can't believe the shit people say about them lol (btw watch Kaiba, it's really good if you like unique and emotionally driven anime series that touch on deep subjects).

You can call me whatever you want to honestly, I don't really care for titles myself, I just support fakku because I like the product and hentai is fun for me. I do hope to see people be able to see the content and be able to afford it so hope I can do my part somehow to make that happen (^w^)

What people can't seem to wrap their head around is that the "free" content is illegal content. Hentai artists are not rolling in money. You'd think twice about opening your mouth if you knew how much they earn. You couldn't live off that income. The anime industry is struggling. We're seeing studios closing down every year. Animators make around $20k-25k. You can't live off that. I can't even imagine how much less hentai artists make. Don't you think if hentai artists made a livable wage we would be seeing more frequent content from them? It's sad to see some of my favorite hentai artists drop off the face of the Earth.
