When I saw your subscription service on Fakku I said, "Alright, maybe in the future I'll get it. But for now I will suffice on my favorites and buy some of the books like Renai Sample or many others." My Christmas vacation is over and I wanted to jack off to some Hentai. There's only one problem...

And you know, you have a LARGE fan base that loves free hentai. Instead of doing this service. Why don't you do a live steam? Instead of a charity make it for the website. Make a quota tell that live stream that if you reach that goal, then we don't need to pay. Because the live stream got the funds already. And then the ads can be used to cover little costs.

I mean your members understand how much artist need to get by. So let the members decide on how to get that money to the artist and to Fakku.

Too "short term" and unrealistic for whatever Fakku is currently planning on ahead. Also fakku is dealing with a real company that expects their license is to be used properly.

Let's say we do this "charity stream" for the purpose of covering all the costs, how much do fakku really needs? 100 thousand? 1 Million? 1 Billion?
The cost will surely rise with fakku's growth, does this mean that fakku needs to do annual live streams just to cover the costs?

With the current knee-jerk reaction of not willing to pay $12, I doubt people would even donate for the stream. As their problem is not that they can't afford the sub, but their mind set is still porn should be free no matter how many people worked on it.

Heck, people still don't give the actual "Free scanlations team" the proper credit they deserved for getting the raws, cleaning the pages, translating, and editing that goes on with every chapter they scanlated.

Whelp. I'm definitely sad. As a member of 4-years, I'm not averse to spending money (I bought two books, and was planning on getting two more in a week), especially as I've finally getting a paltry, but positive, net income flow. As of right now, however, I can't budget enough for $13/mo.

And honestly, this does come as a shock. I don't browse the forums too often, and while I do read the news, in that announcement post back in July (https://www.fakku.net/fakku-subscription-announcement), nowhere on the page does it say "going forward all content will be officially licensed". Moreover, nowhere does it even suggest that everything will be behind a paywall. So is this a surprise? Yeah. Yeah it is. All I got from that announcement is that "Comic Kairakuten and Comic X-Eros" will now be simulpublished by Fakku. Which is pretty exciting. All my saved favorites getting obliterated? The scanlation efforts being wiped out? Everything behind a paywall? Not exciting. Not expected. For something this big, I'd have at least expected a message or a Notification PMed directly. This is shocking and feels like a betrayal.


Cashing in on the large following with active subscriptions and book offers is fine. But destroying all the free stuff that Fakku was built on? It feels like utter betrayal.

I honestly don't mean this as a threat, but if it takes so long as a few months, I might abandon Fakku out of sheer habit. A few months is enough to break old habits and form new ones. Fakku has become, for me, the premiere habit-go-to for hentai. Like Google for search, Facebook for friends, Piperka for webcomics, and Walmart for stuff.

When a company is publishing something it should not come as a shock that it means you'd have to pay to view. They are in business with a company so logically you'd have to pay something to have said business run and operate. There will be free to view content eventually, but as numerous people have stated that will take time to offer.

Also the removal of unlicensed content has been mentioned on/off the forums for over a year, but it couldn't be done all at once. In time the goal is to bring that content back on here, but patience and time is required to officially release it.



If you loose interest you loose interest. You're not the first to say you are willing to abandon the site and won't be the last. I don't really understand this logic myself. I've left sites myself, but I do go back to them even if it's months later or I just lurk (doing that with crunchyroll and pinterest atm lol). Seriously this "jumping ship" logic is a bit immature. Just find another site for free content and if you want to buy stuff do that too. The forums will always be free, that's not pay-walled, but people treat this like some shitty break-up with their ex where they can't stand the shit that relates to that person.

Hell thinking about it I left fakku for about a year after I first joined for various reasons, but now I'm back here in full swing (can't keep a grade A pervert down lol). So don't say you or anyone will leave forever, you never know what life will bring.

Also everyone calling this a betrayal is another thing I cannot seem to understand. The intention of creating fakku was not to provide "free" it was to provide material you couldn't obtain otherwise, but now it can be obtained properly so the goal has still been the same. Years ago this was a dream that was made and stated, but is now coming true. You'd think people would be proud to see fakku doing so well, I know it sucks if you cannot afford the content, but rather I do believe it's more or less people don't want to buy the content for whatever reason, which is a shame, the products quite nice if you or anyone ever get's the chance to see it.

While I'm unable to pay the subscription fee and thus will be fapping to another site I find shortly, I think it was a good idea in the long run and I'll definitely be back if there is the addition of free content.

While there will definitely be a large amount of people upset at the changes, I don't think it's been that problematic, and anybody who says the owners are money grabbing, just consider that previously you were keeping the money to yourself while using fakku as a service for free. If you wish to bring greed up in your argument, then at least have the decency to admit you're being greedy by not giving money to a provider which previously provided high quality material that you used for free. Especially when the quality of the content is definitely worth paying a price for.
Hell, I'm being greedy after all. I'm not paying the fee because I want money, I need money but not high quality hentai, just anything that provides pleasure really, try to admit that yourself if you can.

However, on a more positive note, it's great that fakku will be working with magazines from Japan to produce more higher quality content, especially if it includes working with producers and artists from Japan themselves. It's also gonna be great financially for improving and expanding the service to make it grow and become a big player with strong morals.
Hopefully enough of the community sticks around to pay for the service and Fakku stays a solid community, although I'm sure that was considered when the change was made.

This will be the last time I come to Fakku. They got greedy. There's plenty of free content around the net to beat my meat to.

I've bought 10 books from them and had a subscription for a solid 4 months. I stopped reading the free censored stuff because I was spoiled to seeing everything. But this post isn't for me, it's for all the people that are affected by this financially wise. I couldn't afford the subscription anymore and gave Fakku a break for a few weeks. I was shocked when I came back and found everything gone.

Hey I have supported this site along time and as soon as I recover from holidays and emergency car maintenance, I plan to sub. So until then the books I have bought will suffice. PS- Hey Jacob, I'd be inclined to come back faster if more succubi and Homunculus works showed up *wink wink*
