What a sad start for my 2016. But we've all seen this coming right from the start. I don't detest them for doing this. It's simply the right thing to do. But.....I just can't..hold..it....in. T-T I've been silently lurking FAKKU since I was 16(Oooops!). Clicking, fapping, reading, admiring the ART. As a kid,it was SANCTUARY.I'm 24 now, working my ass off in this corporate zombie world, and walking like one, yet when I go to this site,I feel alive. Its still my sanctuary. And I cried when the final decision came. Fuck, I cried so hard my manhood fell out.

Hello, I am also a newcomer. Albeit one with a nearly year old account.
So this site has become the Crunchyroll of hentai, according to Jacob's statement. I don't find this decision upsetting at all; rather, I find it inevitable. Even if Jacob didn't mention in advance his plans for the start of this year, the moment he agreed with the Japanese companies who provide him with original adult content, it was only a matter of time before this decision would lead to a complete purging of unlicensed material. It breaks me heart that this also leads to a complete removal of all doujinshi, as I'm not sure if there's any way to bring them to the same legal light as original works (how I will miss Re-Take), but one has to play ball for good business relations and to maintain a serious business environment.
I look at this significant change of the site with good grace. I do eventually wish to own a couple of books from this company's selection, and I am a huge Bosshi fan, even if for the moment I don't have the financial means to provide the site's needed support. I wish I could contribute to any significant advice. One COULD take a look at Crunchyroll's business model and provide guess passes generated for and given by experienced users of the site; the guess passes would limit the service to a day and disable download option (if there still is one here; if not, pardon my mistake), but it would be a nice incentive for fresh users. I wouldn't be surprised if someone already mentioned such an advice, so if it sounds redundant, pardon.
Best of luck with the grand ideas for this site, especially the expenditure of Western artists in the hentai market. I could only recall the most fap-worthy erotic Western artists in one hand, and those probably cost a pretty penny, I suspect.

I usually don't post, but I'll add my two cents to support other suggestions. Being a poor college student I can't really pay the current monthly subscription. If there were those, say, year-long packages I would probably do it. I just can't afford something like this now. Seeing your good intentions and understanding the plight of these artists I am willing to provide my support since I do thoroughly enjoy the content.
Another thing to add is that I'm hesitant with the content provided. While I say poor college student, I do buy figures sometimes and other luxuries. But right now with the current content I just can't justify the value right now so I will wait and observe.

Well, it looks like the favorites export option now DOES include stuff that was removed in the old "controversial content" sweep as well as stuff that was online when the unlicensed content removal went into effect, so I feel vindicated. I'm afraid I won't be sticking around (at least for now), not that anyone cares, but I appreciate being given a way to "pack up my stuff", so to speak, before heading out. I don't mean that to sound passive-aggressive. Seriously, I am thankful for that. It'll be a big help in tracking down some of my old favorites again. Just wanted to toss out a quick thank-you-kindly.

Partnering with only 2 magazines and releasing them simultaneously is a good start but is it's not enough to keep many subscribers at this price point satisfied.

Over the years I have been coming here, close to 7 or 8, 4 as an account holder I have watched Fakku grow and become an awesome library of a wide spectrum of viewing preferences. I never know what flavor (so to speak) I'm looking for but I know that I can find it with Fakku. All I would like to see is some of the old scans added back in, with the artists support. Ones that would not only make those of us wide, sometimes uniques tastes more willing to subscribe but to buy books. I am thinking fo subscribing for several reasons but I am disapointed to see find tha several of my favorites gone, both now and the initial "purge" several months ago. I agree with some of the conmments I have read that say the library has shrank, I have no doubt it would but I do support Fakku becoming legit I just want to see it be better than before.
My hope is that as you grow your library your will surpass what you were to be more worth the 13.00. I might test out the subscription but still debating it.

As a potential consumer, I don't like it and won't support it.I'm someone who feels the same way. To me if I can't actually download it, and back it up offline then it's not worth spending money on. The only thing I'm upset about is that I just lost 7 years worth of favorited hentai doujins. Like I didn't even get a heads up in my email about this or anything. I've been busy so I haven't been able to visit in a while and I come back to this and figured "okay sure, do your thing" but to lose all those doujins... felt worse than I thought it would lmao.

Why can't a small group of hentai fans providing a VERY NICHE service compete with a BILLION DOLLAR company with tens of thousands of employees, brand deals, and Hollywood connections?

Do a little research and you'll see how long it took Netflix to get to the price options it has today. I have a pretty clear memory of when netflix cost close to $20 per month.

The price you're asking for the content you currently have is ridiculous. Like it's not even in the same atmosphere of sane. You would literally need 15-20x more content for me to even contemplate it. People can honestly just go to other sites now that do what Fakku did before so you as the company have to make it beneficial to me as a Paid subscriber.
There has to be a tangible benefit to justify spending 12 dollars a month on this. Let's be real, nobody pays for Porn. You need to make it worth it to the consumer. Currently i don't see that.
I'll still support you guys and the artist by buying Fakku books since i personally love physical copies of the things i buy and the artwork and product is great.

Because netflix has been around for years, and isn't an adult content site. The subsciption cost for fakku is very competitive with adult content. You can't compare normal content and adult content, because it's a very different target audience, and the fees, etc are very different.

As above, it's actually quite cheap for an adult content service. And on the contrary, many many people pay for porn. It's why the porn industry is so big. It's why there is so many porn sites that require subscriptions to see their content. The porn userbase is massive, as is the userbase that pays for content. And in that regard, fakku's pricing is very competitive for an adult content service

Last year, I had almost a thousand favs in this website, now I don't have any anymore.
I promised I'll never come back and never publish anything again of the forum since then.I still lurked because I searched some titles but that was it. I was ok at first with some of the "fakku books" that I never read because freaking expensive. But when you guys removed the unconventional content, it seriously pissed me off. I was personaly ok with removing the loli content, because it's child porn and "forced" because it's rape and it's illegal, but the hell was wrong with others like incest. By removing this, you simply deny reality and refuse to accept form of love and consentant sexual practice that basically happen in reality.
That is why I decided to backup my favs, and get the fuck off this website. But you know, that's not the only reason I moved. I also moved because you guys actualy want to drain the milk of people by only hosting licensed content.
That's nice and all, be good people proposing licensed porn mags with outrageous prices, but at least show some respect to scanlaters and don't remove thousand of hours of work in your twisted name of Great Justice.
I know very well the work of scanlaters, since in one of my more brighter lifes I'm working with them( SFW content btw ). Do you realise how hard we work to propose decent content you guys would never had the chance to read otherwise ?

The main goal of scanlation is not to publish a whole series and takes the work of editors, it's to bring popularity to unknow authors that did not have the chance to see their work published worldwide. Oh yeah, and to give them enough popularity to convince editor to publishe them too.
Reality is, editors won't publish if they know it won't sell like pancakes, and it's sometime not even enough. I can tell you countless series with high potential not being published because it's dedicaced to a certain kind of readers. I guess that's a bit too complex for people thinking scanlation is evil, so just go with your puritanist compaign, like it would change things anyways. Your website was just popular because of the best interface without searching much, else everything has been reposted somewhere else.
That's all I'm gonna say, this post will only list at best a few hours and will be removed for the horrible reasons if being hateful and giving credit to bad groups stealing the money of the poor editors so they won't officialy publish poor poor authors in the world anyway.
