Elder Pervs. Where We Are Today.

Sometimes I lie awake at night, wondering how friends whom I have made on Fakku are faring in real-life. Thus, I have decided to create this topic to gather as many veteran Fakku members as possible. Even if you do not feel that you have been on Fakku for a long time, you are welcome to post. :)

Theme of this topic: Introduce yourself. Post an image which you like ([color=blue]does not have to be a bear related image; stating so because users might be getting the wrong idea[/color] ^_^;;). Write a short story. Anything. As long as it does not break the rules.

Let me start the ball rolling by introducing myself. When I first joined Fakku as a member back in 2007, I was still a full-time university student. Since then, I have been employed, unemployed, been through good and bad times. My passion for anime, manga, hentai and perhaps games, have not diminished, but I do have less time and energy for them. :(

My obsession with bears has increased over the years. :D

Right now, I do hope to stay in contact with as many active (and dormant) Fakku members as possible. Sure, all of us may have encountered squabbles or difference in views and opinions during our stay here, but I am still keen to find out how everyone is doing - hopefully well.

Technology has grown tremendously over the years. Instead of computers and laptops, people are staring at their mobile phone screens and portable electronic pads more often. Would you say the same for yourself?

I can't deny my usage of a smartphone has increased too.

I joined in 2011 because HentaiDreaming got shut down. My username was actually a spur of the moment thing inspired by Gmod Idiot Box and my love of cats, but I've grown attached to the name. Like you Gambly-pooh (see what I did thar? Pooh? Bear? Nvm), my obsession with cats has only gotten worse.

I was an unemployed layabout until last year when I took up Work Experience. They took me on when it finished.


When I'm not working I play games and watch movies or anime all day at home. Except Thursday nights which are cinema nights with friends, and during the day on Saturdays which is when I volunteer at my local charity shop.

In both voluntary and paid jobs, I do retail. Something I never would have thought I would be able to do a couple of years ago.

My friends have been talking about getting a flat. If I get more hours I would be able to split the cost.

I have a smart phone, but i do prefer browsing fakku using my laptop.
it feels restricted doing it on a smart phone.

Since you asked me about it.

Got my 4 year achievement recently. When I started posting on Fakku, I was a freshman. Fast forward now, and because of stupid decisions made in those early four years, I'm still a university student trying to finish up as fast as possible. But hey, I got my current best friends out of this site, so I wouldn't really change any decision I made in the past, otherwise it means regretting where I am now with who I'm with.

Here's my bear tribute.

Well, a socially awkward guy, and i like building kits as a past time.
and on i like to sleep on weekdays.

Freak. Lurking since 2009 member since 2010. That the time I was in the army and wanted to read something from home. Then then I was discharged and spend the time working and losing parts of my body. Mind was lost a long time ago. Now I'm trying to walk up hill and climb without 1/3 of my right foot. Most of my personal work is spend in the mountains and forests.

I like that new nickname. :D

I am grateful to those companies who provided me an opportunity when I was unemployed. They took a gamble with me and I try to repay it with hard work and effort. Therefore, I believe I know how you feel.

As for movies, I just watched Jurassic World last evening. I am not a frequent movie-goer, but Jurassic World brought back fond memories.

Hmm... Perhaps I should engage in some community work during my free time too.

Your last sentence is especially true. A few years back, we may not have have envisioned ourselves in certain situations. Life can be unpredictable, hopefully in a postive manner!

I came back as per dear Gambler's request.
Aki-chan, here! I joined Fakku back in 2009 and was an active poster for a while. I was a part of the voice acting club on Fakku for a minute and made a lot of friends that I still keep in contact with (I just got back in contact with Laggi, whoop!).
Since back then, I have gotten a big girl job in an office. I also have been in a serious relationship for over two and a half years now. I'm still getting tattooed. I actually just started on a Princess Mononoke half sleeve last weekend.
I also am going to Japan again this year! I still can't speak Japanese and nobody in my friend group that I'm going with can either...So that should be interesting! Haha!
I'm also still super into k-pop.
And that's pretty much it, for the most part.
It's nice to check in on Fakku again, porn ads and all :P

I have to be one of the most inactive users here. Was already lurking late back in 2007 before I created an account in 2008, back in the days of RS. In real life, I'm a busy working single mom who has achieved considerable recognition in my chosen field and keeping myself competitive because such is the rigours of working life. I'm working hard because my child is a special needs boy and this mommy is thinking of setting up a social enterprise in the near future. Working and saving as much as I could right now. These days, I barely even have time to indulge in my hobbies, though I try to get my weekly dose of anime and toy photography. Priorities get shifted and yes, I miss the crazy banter here on fakku. Lots of love to the people who still remember me.

I like your determination! Sometimes, our paths may not be smooth-sailing, filled with obstacles and detours, but as long as we do not give up, we will experience success, or at least some of it.

I did not know you suffered an injury during your course of work. Communication is the key to knowing another person better, and bringing friendships to another level.

People should show more appreciation for nature. Unfortunately, most government agencies and corporations do not share the same sentiment.

Been here 5 years now, not as long as some people but still a pretty long time. I honestly can't remember how I found the website. Probably from googling about hentai or something. But I've stayed ever since.

I've been studying Japanese for about 6 years, starting out with a year of self-study and then began studying it seriously it at school. Now I'm a second-year student of BA Japanese at uni, though I've actually just finished my second year. I'll be going on a study year abroad for my third year if I pass this year.

I'm an aspiring translator - something I've been working towards since I started learning Japanese. I'm currently a voluntary translator for JaME and also doing another voluntary translation job on the side which I recently started.

Need to find a part-time job now it's summer.
