That's one of the motives why I do thought up of this event, to build a foundation for all of us in case we want to develop things on a larger scale~

Well, it might be raising my expectations too high, but let's see if the event could make the authors stay even after the contests or to raise the general activity this section has in addition of motivating the authors to write again and supporting each other~

So I guess the most important part before making the discussion thread was to write up a sound motive on why this event will be beneficial to us all, then I'll go on making the framework in order to facilitate the discussions, while other things will go into this Writers' Lounge =D



I would also like to see a collaboration between the top writers in here too, it would be a very interesting thing to beheld~

That's the whole point of having a group like that. Something like a role model type of group.

The collaboration thread idea sounds quite interesting though the details are a bit blurry (?). Is there an incentive to be submitting their chapters into the thread rather than just making their own? Or is this just to bring out people's inner sense of competition (like mines)?



...Yes. My pool for names is very tiny lol. But to be fair, they play an essentially different role. And Vy isn't part of the 'big four' that my story concentrates on.

Well I think is the original motive is to bring the users together by motivating them to collaborate with each other. I haven't thought about the details yet since I need the help of the experts before deciding things~

I don't want to make the discussion thread now since I don't really have high hopes for the success atm, at least I'll wait until Xenon and Jerry goes back because I need their help in order to make this successful~

I do hope these targets are set by yourself. If I were in that position, at least it would give me a sense of control.

What are you thinking of writing though, High? Comedy? Adventure? Romance?

Ah yes it's the target I myself set, but I'm barely able to keep on it, though if I'm unable to keep up these for any longer it might be forever for me to complete my projects~

I don't know, I just wanna write out something that I had in mind without relying on genres. But judging from my experience, my stuff mostly range on the light-hearted ones~

I can't write a quality story to tell you the truth. It requires planning the setting, creating the characters, deciding how the plot thickens and resolve itself and that is too much thinking. So much thinking is done to the extent that it is stifling. Is the plot good enough? Are the characters credible? Those doubts really drains me.

So, I only exaggerate my experiences and throw a few things I think I know. Not much thinking required and what comes out appears to be amusing. I think that must be going in Antw0n's mind when he decided to come up with that amusing comic. So, in that respect, we might be the same when it comes to writing.

Me neither, I think I still have long ways to go before becoming the author I'm aspired to be~

Well for the plot I mostly had scenarios planned out before writing every single chapter, though what really drags me down is my lack of motivation and support~

Though of all the plannings concerned, I mostly scrapped out the planned stuff and came out with something random out of the graveyard of these thrown out ideas while writing, so I'm not sure either how to put myself on~

My advice is, just plan out what you think is right and don't think about it too much, lest taking it too seriously. Just write what can you think you enjoy, and pay no mind to every opinion that degrades your piece. The truth is there's no such thing as 'bad' or 'good' it's just our opinions and preferences which made them that way~

And if that's the only thing you want to write go for it, if you're truly focusing on what you want to do, I'm sure you'll become great enough to produce a masterpiece soon~

High's motto: Forget about your writing being terrible and write what you enjoy. Lolol

The logic is, even if you're writing is actually terrible, you'll always get better the more you write~

Trust me, if you think you've done terrible works, I've submitted the most number of terrible writings and still managed to get away with it, don't worry 'bout it too much~
