Have all the RP's on the writing forum died out? I haven't seen any updates posted. I like to read some of them from time to time.

That reminds me if I'm going to RP a character it might be an absurdly plain character which do things that might make you raise your eyebrow in disbelief on how meaningless they are and their actions became so meaningless it turns out to be meaningful in the end~

Back to topic. After very little thinking, I thought I'd make some remarks about your latest chapter in Sandbox Modo, High. That being a pseudo-diary, it never fails to capture my interest. And when the topic turned to visual novels, I can't help but to share my opinion about them. Of course, it would not be too appropriate to air them at the Sandbox thread.

I can't read Japanese, so I can't really appreciate them that well. I got some translated into a language I am much more comfortable with and I have to say that being the impatient person that I am, when the story digresses into talking about how beautiful the weather is, I turn to the Ctrl key to seek for help.

There is one visual novel that I am really impressed with. It is Ashita no Kimi to Au Tame ni by Purple. But if I were to go into discussion about how good it is, this entire rant would go into the Visual Novel and Eroge section in the forums and more importantly it would be out of character for me, a pessimistic, unhappy for no reason, always seeking to dump a lot of cold water and wet towels of a misanthrope who ought to be flushed out of existence.

I am disturbed by the serious gender imbalance of the eroge universe. And the fact that the person I am playing is actually a mute. I am even more disturbed by the fact that the women in the game would agree to commit to you for the rest of their lives in a matter of a few weeks. But again, I were in their shoes and were stuck in a world where there are a so few men, I'd be desperate as well!

Seems like an interesting novel, the VN you just mentioned, I might check it out later. Though I didn't really play much VN nowadays xD

I don't really realize the gender was so imbalanced in the Visual Novel, all that matters is that I'm happy enough seeing many cute anime girls on the screen hahaha....

Now that you raised the matter, I can give you an idea why I liked it.

I will show the OP of the eroge. Purple is known for its animated OPs. Ashita no Kimi differs from the other animated OPs by actually trying to tell a story. And the story draws and enthralls me by the fact that it gives a very good source of conflict which is a magic pool upon diving in results in one heading to another dimension with little chance of going back.

Almost the entire story however, centres around how it affected the people in the real world. In fact, the female lead was one of the few cases who returned from that dimension only to lose her memories.



ED: WHY THE HELL DO YOU HAVE TO SHOW ME NIPPLE-LESS WOMEN, YOU STUPID VIDEO?! HAVE THE ANIMATORS GONE ON STRIKE SO THEY FORGOTTEN TO GIVE THEM CLOTHES?!

Looks nice.
