Model Composition

Paul squealed in delight upon entering the zoo. He adored animals intensely. A week ago, he had implored his parents to bring him to the zoo, his favourite place of interest despite having been there several times before. His parents had given in due to his incessant pleas.

Paul looked around him in awe. On his left were goats grazing on the grass. As he walked eagerly to the goats, the distant roar of the lion attracted his attention. He turned to his parents and asked them to accompany him to the lions' enclosure. His parents agreed and they set off for the lions' enclosure.

Upon reacing the enclosure, Paul rushed forward to have a look. There the lion stood, tall and majestic on the rock. Paul stared at the lion with admiration. "It's time to go, Paul/ Let's go see the reptiles," Paul's father said as he held Paul's hand. Paul's face fell. Of all the animals in the zoo, he liked the lion the most. He followed his parents reluctantly. He yearned to stay longer at the lions' enclosure.

Just then, a bright idea struck him. "Dad, I need to go to the toilet. I won't be long," Paul said urgently. When his parents consented, Paul pretended to walk towards the direction of the toilet. Once he was out of the view of his parents, he hastened to the lion's enclosure. There he stood for some time, gazing dreamily at the lion.

"How wonderful it would be if I could just stroke the lion's fur coat," Paul thought to himself. He looked at the railing. Being an agile boy, Paul decided to climb over it. Without any hesitation, Paul began clambering over the railing to get into the enclosure. He soon entered the enclosure without much difficulty.

Paul's rash out soon attracted the attention of alarmed visitors. They gathered round the enclosure and tried to coax Paul to get out of the enclosure, but to no avail. The commotion soon aroused the attnetion of Paul's parents who had been waiting anxiously for the return of their son. They hurried to the lions' enclosure. They were stupefied to find their son in close proximity with the carnivorous creature.

"Paul! Please get out now!" Paul's mother shrieked in terror. ANgered, the lion growled and began approached the now terrified Paul. The crowd gasped in horror as the lion continued advancing towards Paul. Suddenly, two dead chickens were hurled toward the lion. Momentarily distracted, the lion left Paul and trotted to the spot where the dead chickens lay, and proceeded to devour them.

Meanwhile, the zookeeper assisted Paul out of the enclosure. After he had gotten out safely, the zoo-keeper issued a stern warning to Paul for his impetuous (I will say disingenous and who said that it was a "bright" idea to jump into the enclosure) act. Paul hung his head in shame as his parents reprimanded him. From then on, Paul's parents kept him within their sight when they went to the zoo.

End of story.

I would say that some words like 'implored' or 'adore intensely' were inappropriately used, but I think one can write a more unhappier and cynical story given this as material.

And I can't help thinking that Paul wants to commit besitiality. Is that how normal children behave in a zoo? I thought they'd be more lifeless.
