Well, there's something to be said about one's own preference in writing. Although I think that quote applies more for writing for an audience (after all, an audience needs to be entertained), I'd like to believe there's a place for writing full and detailed pieces that carry on and have to do more for the psyche of the characters and the world than for plot-progression.
yeah I know, I think I just want to break free of the constraints so I could at least entertain myself by exploring the limitless possibilities. I kind of have the belief that, in order to entertain the audience, you first gotta have fun with what you're doing =)
about that, the More than Human novel was mostly based about the characters and the world thingy. the plot progression was kind of really blurred out, but at the same moment I realized again, everything fits in place so perfectly.
I think there's a lot of different opinions and preferences, but I generally believe that people like a story because there's something in it which makes them attached to it. that's why I kind of like to write about something I had an attachment with, at least for the nostalgic purpose =)
