I'm surprised the contest isn't chock full of entries already. Sounds like it might need more publicity!

I hope you are not making reference to the link of a user who tried to publicise her work in the Incoherent Babbling Section.

That said, I gather that you will be contributing as well? Have you read the entries (2 to be exact) that have been submitted so far?

I am done for the time being with the contest. What needs to be done right now is to get a few persons to read what I have wrote and prepare myself to read and comment on what others have written.

You bet I'll be entering! And I've yet to read the entries yet, but I always make my rounds. I shall get both my entry and read what's been entered probably by the end of the week.

I think we're waiting to be the last to stick into the minds of the judges more. Last turn sticks best.
This overturns when it comes to how many people get to read it during the time before voting. Less days since posted = less audience = less votes.

I'd like to post this I found here.

There's a cat stuck in the cellar. I wonder how many days it will last. I hear it every night mewing away. At first I thought it was a woman moaning or crying, but no, it was just a cat. I know the correct thing to do would be to tell the owner and have them do something but I owe rent and it's really too much of a hassle. I am the only one who can hear it, in time the noise will fade away and when the smell kicks in, I'll let them now For now though I just have to grin and bear the nuisance of having a dying cat in the cellar.

It reminded me of Poe.

It reminds me of a book I just read call Mr. Monster about a sociopath teenager, and what do you know? That post is from a blog called Sociopath World.

I'd better rewrite this. I harbour a dislike for Edgar Allan Poe for failing tremendously to get to the point while others admire him for fleshing out the emotions and experiences of his characters.

It is the first entry of the Scenery of Tranquil Places isn't it? I took your piece of writing for some reason. Perhaps it is because I can relate to some of the emotions felt by the narrator or perhaps it is because I have already read it. El Chacal did something similar except that he decided to tell a story instead.

well it's not exactly the first chapter, but a part of the continuation from where I left out. it hasn't been posted here nonetheless =)

well yeah, it's from the same story so you can say that you've already read these. I'm really inept at coming up with plots, so to say, let alone something understandable. it eventually became so bland I mostly discontinued writing these stuff before I even finished it halfway lol

it would be different if there's nothing to be made sense of, and somehow everything could happen in there, no matter how absurd it is hahaha

Don't be modest. You have come up with stories, albeit most of them slice of life, in this forum before. I think most readers here prefer something mundane rather than what I come up with.

well yeah, I think I mostly could only come up with something mundane. I'd be really glad if you and the other readers could somehow get a gist of what I've written!
