Mahou's Haven

Hi guys! ^^

Been trying to post for a few days now, but timing just hasn't been working out. Things may settle down for a little bit soon depending on how my new job goes. Haven't got final word on the kind of hours I'll be working, so we'll see. Thanks for the music btw, very fitting!

I don't have a lot of time atm, so I'm gonna just post and get off, but I might be back later today. :D Today's post is rather haven themed, since with the OP taking a little longer, it's been lacking.

Since I got a request for animals, I suppose I must include the wolves of the haven. This is part of the stuff I am working on for the update to the OP, but no harm in using it right now as well.

For those of you who are new to the haven, the wolves here are peaceful protectors of the night time. They roam around in packs watching over and defending the haven. They are a proud, yet shockingly gentle group. The only way to find their den is to be led to it by the wolves themselves.




Also, while I'm on the subject of the things found in the haven, I must say that while the haven provides much, one of my favorite things is the wild berries that can be found growing in many places here.. the most common of these being the wild strawberries.

So a pretty simple theme today, but hopefully still good. ^^ I'm posting some trees and such. A somewhat random thing to focus on I know, but it's what I keep thinking of, so why not?

In keeping with the last post, I'm making this post rather fitting for the haven also. I hope you guys enjoy. I left more music than usual. ^^

I'm glad you think so. ^^ I always put a lot of thought into these posts, but I also like to let myself be guided a bit. I don't keep a folder of music or pics on hand. When it comes time for a post like this, I search and search till I find things that speak to me.

I figure that's the best way to ensure some quality for everyone. After all, this thread is, at it's heart, about the beauty life can bring. So I don't prep for it. I let myself discover it. I figure if it speaks to me, it will have a better chance of doing the same for all of you.

Not that I expect everyone to do the same thing. Everyone's method is different. I am always happy to see contributions to the thread. You guys do such a fanatistic job posting lovely things all of your own. I can't count how many times I've come here and seen or heard things that made me smile.

omg.. lol, I didn't realize it was off! I share this computer with other people in the household cuz it's the only working computer atm. Which makes me nervous, because it's the only one still working for a reason. haha.. but in the end, I don't really have a choice.

Anyways, people change my settings sometimes, logging into their own stuff and what not. I saw skyoe open, but it's not logged in. *donk* Let me go fix that.

That's because I'm always doing stuff for so many other people. @.@ That's what happens when you rely on others for survival I guess. I'm just waiting until I rely less on them and am more able to do stuff on my own. Then I'll have more power to set my own time frames.

Speaking of which, part of why I've been especially busy this last week was because I've been adjusting to work. I'm more or less on call and my other responsiblites haven't lessened as of yet. But it looks like I finally have some time today, so I'll be off and on, but I will be here. ^^

Why do you rely on so many people?

eh, long story, but it boils down to this.. my own family was only really supportive when I was a kid. I've not really had a solid support system for awhile, so I struggle. When you don't have family to fall back on, the groups you do end up often serve themselves first and that can really slow stuff down.

Why do I need that support so much? I've been doing odd jobs for most of my adult life and am not a very physical person, so that makes stuff hard too. Much of my work hasn't been that stable and can't be proven. So money had been tight. I'll spare you the details, but yeah, it's been rough.
