Has anyone reached Kyurem yet?

No matter how many times I go back to the Giant Chasm, a tree blocks my path to the stairs in the crater forest.

Caught mine in White a while ago. Tricky place, that.

I ran around that forest so many times, I lost count and I never saw any snow.

But thanks for the heads up, Luin, I'll keep my eyes open.

Took me a while as well, especially as I too was trying to find a way to the stairs. Was quite surprised by the snow. :D

Might be my memory playing tricks on me, but I think it was a lower spot in the ground... It's really been a while, though, found my post about catching it here on page 56. In any case, if I remember correctly, the place should be easy to identify if you know that it's there.

I see what you mean now. I just went to the Giant Chasm and found a little pond in the forest.

I heard Kyurem's cry and all of sudden everything is covred in snow.

edit: I think it'd be a bad idea to catch it right now though, my party's avg. lv is 65, with my Serperior being 73.

I caught him with lower levels, you should be ok~

You'll get Master ball from Junpiter, what is it use for? What kind of strong pokemon should you use it for?

In ancient ruins, if you go to the bottom of that place, you can catch a legendary pokemon on level 70.

Caught mine at much lower levels as well. Master Ball was already gone for Zekrom, though.

I used great ball on him. I was like "WUT?"

Pretty much my reaction when I caught Victini with a simple Poké Ball.

I'm not surprised, since he's level 15

Level has absolutely nothing to do with the catching calculations, though.

The amount of HP also decides if a pokemon easier to catch or not Luin... And by having higher level, they basically have higher HP, so actually it does have something to do with catching calculations..

Simple example is try to catch some Bidoof in some distances in level at their full HP with pokeball... Low leveled pokemon relatively easier to catch

A higher level Pokémon with 1 HP would be actually easier to catch than a lower level Pokémon with 1 HP, according to this. At full HP there would be no difference at all.

Because the gap between the HP counts, Luin... Say it got 200 HP, and have 1 HP left.. The gap is 199. and that counts in the calculations..

But if the HP was 30 and it got 1 HP left, the gap is only 29...

But I don't know~ never care much about the details anyway~ just saying it DOES have anything to do with levels

But in the opposite way, if at all. The difference is rather small. Let's drop the catch rate and bonuses from the formula and just focus on the HP, since it's the only part that changes in this example.

With HPmax=10:

Full HP: (3x10-2x10)/(3x10)=10/30=0.333333...

1 HP: (3x10-2x1)/(3x10)=28/30=0.933333...

With HPmax=100:

Full HP: (3x100-2x100)/(3x100)=100/300=0.333333...

1 HP: (3x100-2x1)/(3x100)=298/300=0.993333...

Looks complicated so I actually didn't look at it at all~
