Slice of Life (New Topic: Off to Tokyo)

Oops, I just realized I forgot to update the title of my topic. ^_^;;
although it's fairly surprising to people i've met IRL, there's this sanrio character that i am absolutely in love with. any time someone calls her hello kitty i can't help but frown in disapproval, lol. her name is my melody and she's a sweet little bunny who lives in the forest of mari land with her friends and family. despite my tendencies to spend all of my money on other people, my melody merchandise is one thing i can't resist for myself. OTL
i have colouring books of her, plushies, an apron, oven mitts, pencils, stickers, stationary, small toys, an mp3 player, a hairclip, and small charms to make necklaces/bracelets with. despite all of this i don't have a lot in my opinion. xD most of the stuff i have is imported from hong kong but she's slowly showing up over in america so i pick up a few things when i see them.
i actually took a picture a while back of all of my stuff of her, i could find it later if you're actually interested in my weirdness. xD
To tell the truth, I am guilty of calling this particular character Hello Kitty too. ^_^;; On the bright side, I did learn something new today... the name of the above character should be My Melody.
Actually, I would like to see the plushies, apron and oven mitts. I am sure they look extremely cute.
This is a very clear hint as to what people should buy for you as a present in future. :D

Ahem...well, if it were me, it would probably be some sort of music instrument. I can't seem to think of any at the mom-WAIT I GOT IT! Last year, I found that a biography had been published about my all-time musical idol, Cliff Burton. I'm still trying my best to find it. I MUST HAVE IT!
Ah yes... books. Working in a bookstore made me realize that some titles can go out of print, without a new edition being published ever again. I suppose you must like Cliff Burton quite a bit?
Unfortunately, I am not too well-versed in music, but I could help you keep a lookout for this particular title. :)

I just have the bad habit of...thinking of a huge bunch of stuff I want and buying it all without a hesitation, even if I really should be saving money for other things. Sometimes it's shoes, sometimes it's clothes. Today it was books...

Although, I will say I have found success in holding off on things I really want. Sometimes, if I know it's too expensive, I will wait to buy it with the reasoning that, if I'm really meant to have it, it will still be there for me when it's on sale. It's kept me from some big mistake purchases ^^;
