Which part of the world do you hail from, Leonard?
I live in Southeast Asia. Right now, the situation isn't too bad in my country, but the general populace are quite unhappy about the number of jobs going to foreigners. Fresh graduates from universities have commented on the difficulties in securing jobs, but some of them tend to have extremely high expectations, in terms of salary, benefits, etc.
One should be able to secure a job, as long as one is willing to work, although I feel companies love to "undercut" their employees. :(
I also come from Southeast Asia! But my situation differs from yours somewhat. The job opportunities here are plenty! But employers can't fill them with local people because the local people don't want to do these jobs!
To raise an example, the construction industry needs many hands but many university graduates here want to do anything but join the construction industry!
^Melfice, that is good to hear!
