I've been trying to 1cc Ten Desires while also aiming for scores that are higher from my Double Desires entry. Now that I can see how hard it is to achieve such thing. My favorite, Youmu, is the best in term of power, but Marisa surpasses her for precision. Reimu is very flexible, but her destructive power and TRANCE leave much to be desired, the same goes for Sanae.

That leaves two questions :

For my favorite scoring and survival character, my vote goes to Youmu because of her focused shot. I'm sure people already know that it's a dual-edged sword. While charging her focused shot, she is unable to shoot, which doesn't help you to graze and farm score. But the power is admittedly destructive. If used properly, it can help you in both scoring and surviving.

TD adapts the concept of the earlier you kill the fairies, the more spirit orbs you will earn. As long as you know when to charge your focused shot, you can intercept enemies before they even position themselves, leaving more spirit orbs after they disappear. Such method also helps you to survive. The more enemies killed during the execution, the less bullets in your screen and the bigger space you can exploit. It's a win-win situation.

For the downsides, it's quite hard to use Youmu at first. Using her half-ghosts is quite tricky, and it's not easy to utilize them for shooting properly since their position depend on your movement. Let's not forget her TRANCE, it's very strong and covers a large area in front of her. It can be considered as downside (scoring) and advantage (survival). For scoring, the concept of survival is scrapped in order to attain a higher score. Precision and mobility are the main keys. While in survival, it's only about kill or to be killed.

On a completely unrelated note, these kind of Yakumos, I approve.

If it's about dearmybrothers, obviously it has to be related to his/her Wriggle.
Up until today, I only have a very few favorite artists who are capable to draw Yukari. Two of them being Nakatani and Sakuraba Yuuki. Check them out, Roommate.

Reminds me that Misaki Kurehito did Yukari early on. It's not bad.

The first one of yours draws her pretty well too, the other one though, fails to convince me for some reason.

Then again, I generally find that there are few artists that draw her well consistently, so I rather focus on individual pieces.

Sakuraba Yuuki's ? Well, yes, his Yukari is less-charismatic than she is usually shown in the majority of fanworks, but at least she has 'character'.

The first non-spellcard one is sufficiently slow to not require it. Youmu and Marisa have small enough hit boxes to pass through the later arrows as well. Those arrows are a bit like Nue's second spellcard in extra.



Ha. I do the same for Miko's last two or three non spellcards. If you don't use bombs at all in a run can you get your score just as high?



Whatever you define as favorite is fine. Challenging, easy, beautiful, frustrating, anything is fine as long as you like it.

Everyone for both questions. I only try to go for scoring in the first 3 stages. After that making it to Halo of the Guze Cannon in one piece takes priority. Youmu makes it really easy to goody hunt so she gets only a slight nod.

That's not possible. To get a high score, you need to plan your movements well, that's including when you should use bombs, and when you should use TRANCE. If you want a tip in scoring, I'd recommend you to be confident before doing your trials. Scoring doesn't include surviving, you need to be confident that you're capable to fight Miko with only one life for example.

While we're on topic about bombs; sometimes, you need to sacrifice a life or more to reclaim your bombs. Again, it's a strategy.



Depends on how you take it in the butt, DS can be either frustrating or fun. Mostly frustrating though.

Momiji only appears in Mof and DS. If you want to look at her in some print-works, then you can start with Oriental Sacred Place. Keep in mind that her appearance is only a cameo.
Besides, she is one unfortunate character because she has no full-character portrait.
