Let's have a game-related topic for today since BiBiko seems to be in gaming-modo.

My answers:
1. Obviously boss(es)-specific. Kogasa, Ichirin, and Murasa surely make a perfect trio, but Nazrin, Shou, and Byakuren are not half-baked too. Even after th13 released, or even after I replayed pre-th13 games, Byakuren is still the only boss who's capable to take 5 lives away from me in a single stage.
2. Despite not being magnificently special as PCB, UFO's still able to book the 3rd position in my favorite list. It's a great game with solid simple story, unique mechanic, tolerable normal difficulty, and many stunning bullet patterns; though unfortunately infected by some unclear characters (minor issue; symposium patched it perfectly).
Then there shouldn't be a problem then. :D
The thing about UFO:
1) What makes UFO difficult? It's obviously the heavy reliance on using the item UFOs to get lives and bombs.
2) UFO occupies my lowest spot on the totem pole of Touhou games. I even play PC98 games more than it. (Going off of how often I play the games)

Manpuku Jinja is undoubtedly a professional in PV making, but I don't believe that skill is exactly applied to their 20-minutes-episode making skill, as shown by the overall quality of Fantasy Kaleidoscope. I don't say it was bad, but it wasn't really that good either.

Think about it again, PCB marks the first milestone of Sakuya being one of the playable characters. It's also what took Alice out of the PC98-continent. What's not to love? Exactly the same amount of money in my wallet right now, nothing.

Would a 90 minute movie would suit your tastes better? The part of skipping through to Youmu in PCB was disappointing but it had to be done for the time-constraint. I can't imagine danmaku being easy to draw. Specifically all the patterns in a game, not individual bullets. Despite that someone did a great job with EoSD extra and someone else for SA stage 6. Would that but more anime looking (with voices) be to your tastes?

I have yet to play thoroughly UFO as well of PoFV because i prefer to exercise my "skill" at the other games until it become acceptable to me.
So i can't give a proper answer.

Not sure, I don't think I like it. But then again, MMD-styled graphic ain't really my cup of tea. I recall the first Memory of Phantasm, the one that features EoSD as its plot, is a good example of properly executed danmaku play. You may want to look at it again to refresh your memory and clarify my claim.

I was referring to the transition between stages. Even though some of the encounters are random and out of blue, there are still more story-related encounters that require more than just a simple greeting or friendly banter as the prologue. Alternatively, you could try to fill the transition with a conversation between the heroine and the just-defeated opponent, about the latter's thought regarding the ongoing incident or anything else as long as it's rational. The deeper you can dig through a character, the better. Most if not all viewers always try to find a character that they can relate to or a character they can like. To help them to do so, you need to add 'personalities' to the character you create.
It's not exactly wrong to refer to Touhou as a simple no-brainer beat-and-brawl, and shoot-first-ask-question-never danmaku play, story-wise. But that's just where the adaptation should surpass the original. Stories in Touhou are rarely explicitly mentioned in-game. To that, I believe the anime adaption, assuming there is any, shouldn't try to paste the same concept blatantly. With alternative approach served, even players with the most experience would less likely to get bored.
Long story short, Touhou has a lot of advantages to exploit and a lot more flaws that don't stick well with anime adaptation to cover. It's just the matter of how the creators/animation-makers make use of their arsenal and resources.

It was really hyped when it was first announced, but look, 2 years has passed and we still don't really know what it looked like since there's never a rip or DVD/BR release even until now. What a pity, after all the hype it generated.

I remember going through all the touhou vid sources I know of for that one back then, and not even a LQ version could be found.
I suppose while enthusiasm for it was high, the actual product might've proved to be lackluster/not openly available enough to warrant a rip version of it.

I also had a hard time to believe there's no camrip or leak, especially considering its HYPE.
Well, maybe you're right. The actual product might not really live up to the expectation so people couldn't be bothered to rip it. I still hope someday we'll get to see what it looks like though.
