[Locked] Which do you Prefer "Katana" or "Rifle"

I choose this

Katana for looks, Rifle for action.

I could never bring myself to use a Katana for breaking/cutting random crap with... too scared I would damage it.

A rifle on the other hand: well, that's just asking to destroy random crap!

I'd say...hmm...Kanata i stick with blades

as much as weilding a katana looks bad-ass id go with range and pick rifle

I go with katana because i really love katanas.

P.S. Isn't that Ichigo's katana from Bleach when he is in bankai

I'd go with the katana
because of the training you would undergo to properly use one
and because of the elegance it brings with you in battle

but when it comes to effectivety and unelegant way of killing I would go with the gun

And for randomness
a gun that shoots swords :D

I'd go for rifle or more preferably a revolver cause it's my only weapon of choice... *play persona 4 and you'll know what i'm talking about...*

i prefer kantanas there cooler i'm not sure why i like them but i think it has to do with all those manga i read that involve swords =_=

@Akaoni21: reminds me that I should watch Pulp Fiction sometime.

No matter how you look at it, modern warfare always beats hand-to-hand weapons, even if I worship the katana. I would never manuever myself into a situation that would require me to tangle with people at extreme close quarters. You want an example? Deadliest warrior - Pirate vs. Knight, explains it all.

Of course, I would love to get my hands on a katana, but if you can kill at a distance with precision aiming, you've got the edge.

Its a tough decision because a katana or rifle is best for different kinds of situations, but I'd have to say I would go with the katana.

1. You don't have to worry about ammo.
2. Can possibly reflect bullets like in some shows.
3. Will never go dull and will stay clean if used correctly.
4. Can cut off limbs and create major havoc. =P

being such as I know Kung-fu which comes from China, and Katanas come from Japan. I have no idea how to properly use a katana, but I can rifle the hell out of any opponents.

I notice when u people see the word "Rifle", the Idea of killing shoots up to your brain.. Seriously, stop with the "Opponent" Crap.. Besides this thread is not that clear in the first place so I am not really flaming u..

its impossible to cut a bullet by a katana
1. the blade is thin so it's not strong enough to cut a gun unless if the temperature of the gun as 700 degree celsius you can cut the gun if the heat reach to 700 degree
2. the bullet speed was 300 m/s (1000 ft/s) its impossible to see in the naked eye even if your reflexe was stronger its impossible to react at 0.3 per seconds and the bullet was so small its really impossible to deflect it
3. the chances to beat it if the enemy reload at the distance of 5 feet its possible to defeat them and if your lucky enough to dodge every bullet they throw at you and there's a chance to cut there rifle if your katana was thicker than the original figure there chance to defeat them at 75% and chances of your living was 25%

The only statement that makes sense is number 2..
If u know a show called: "MANswers"[Spike TV] then u should know that a blade will cut a bullet (if hit directly at the sharp edge)
And as for #3.. What's with that % shit?
