@icyevilchief: there is no such thing as "honor" in combat anymore. It's either kill or be killed, and a katana won't do you any good in modern warfare. Those who do have honor, they are people to respect for sure.

The Katana for me the gun is a pussy weapon that anyone can use properly a katana takes someone skilled to use it properly. Guns have no honor while swordsmanship has ran parallel to honor for decades

i just like the katana because it relies on one's own strength to kill and not the strength of the gun. it's also sharp and shiny and pointy and i like those three qualities. also, a gun requires skill to use, but a katana requires more skill. i like skill.

I don't see how wield a sword has more honor than shooting someone besides the up and close combat. Ultimately, you are trying to either injure the opponent enough that he/she doesn't get up or outright kill him/her. Also, people keep saying that shooting a gun has no skill - wrong. I'd like to see someone make a headshot over 800 meters away or shoot a magnum at a target 20 yards away and keep all the bullet holes within 1 centimeter of each other.
