It seems that there is a lot of animosity towards religious groups here...

I'm just making a remark, not trying to stir an argument.

I didn't even know it had anything to do with religion, I thought it had to do with the NASA thing with the transit of venus. Uh, lemme get back on the details on that to share with the class.

Yea the transits happen, but do I think it'll be the end of the world? I think the world is declining as it is with this stupid market crash and I think we're gonna have some tough times. I don't really see a good future for America - but that has nothing to do with religion or astrology.

If something does happen? Well, what was I supposed to do about it? Worrying about it certainly won't help.

I believe 2012 will happen because one minute after 11:59 PM, December 31st, 2011, it will become 2012.

That UFO thing, I just finished watching the whole thing, because I wanted to know why that particular sighting was so significant, since every farmer and his wife has reported some sort of UFO sighting. The only thing that makes me scoff is how they explained this one sighting (not the 1991 one) of Mexican soldiers found this silver disk of like 10 feet that crashed after hitting an airplane - America was listening in - Mexican soldiers find it and take the thing and lug it into a flat bed. Americans called in and asked for permission to support, Mexicans said no - Americans flew in planes anyway, happened to see the flat bed and happened to notice all the men were dead. Happened to be able to take several more planes and organize troops to go in with biological suits and take this thing away and even burn the flat bed truck and soldiers to kill any evidence.

Uh... hello? If that happened how the fuck did America get away with that? And, if all evidence was killed, why is there a representation on the history channel about it? Also, if that did happen, then my money is on America killed those soldiers to get their hands on that piece of scrap metal.

Anyway, I'm totally off topic, I just stuck my nose into why 1991 was significant and got stuck on another UFO sighting instead about that. Eh.

It's nothing new, it's done transits in the past - you've lived through some and are still alive. Read the link. Preferably the Nasa one, since that's just fact. The first one is theory.

Maybe the world will end in 2012... but it's probably not because of Jesus and/or the Mayan Calendar. There are plenty of other reasons why it might end...

well 2012 is in there for me with every other end of the world doomsday theory including:

>meteors/comets (the ones with predicted dates on them)
>yellowstone super-volcano (yes i mean yellowstone national park)
and the rest....
but i say if people are gonna belive these theorys then they more gulliable than i thought ... but hey this is jus my opinion
