No, I don't think the World will end in 2012. I don't even think the Bible says that. Just because some ancient calender ends at 2012 doesn't mean the World will end with it.

The bible doesn't say anything about a specific date. Probably didn't want to end up with their cosmic foot in their mouth, you know. Considering they were writing, you know, bullshit.
I fail to see how it would matter either way.

1. No one ever said the second coming of Jesus would be in 2012. At least not in this thread they didn't.
2. Dead people stay dead. Or are zombies. And I'm not so sure about the second one. So unless you are counting on a zombie messiah, you're wasting your time.
3. The bible is not a reliable source of accurate information, and most of it isn't even meant to be. Although, the story of Jesus and his resurrection and return are presented as fact, so I guess the intentions of the rest of the bible are moot. The fact still remains, however, that using a line of scripture in an attempt to debase anyone's claims is ridiculous.

Basically, there is everything wrong with what you have just said.
The only thing at all correct is the conditions the bible states for the return of Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:2- "for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night."
Based on this, the church generally believes that it is impossible to know the date. Or, if someone did know it, it would change.
An extremely convenient thing to be written into church doctrine to keep their collective foots out of their mouths on that particular issue.

Basically, it is incoherent babbling to seriously say anything about Jesus of Nazareth returning to earth, regardless of the date.



Lined up in relation to what? Without another point of reference, saying the earth and the sun will line up is meaningless. Even with another point of reference, it's probably still meaningless. But I figured I'd give you a chance to make this seem to make sense, rather than dismissing it as plainly retarded out of hand.

Of course not. Not only cause I`m no believer despite my country but also I see no reason the world to end that year. You know how many story said about that. Just a year ago someone said the world will end in September if I`m not wrong. But it didn`t happen, sigh.

Oh yeah. If I`m not wrong there were case like this in 9/9/99 but nothing happen. Just the cloud colored so black at that time in my place.

No need to worry about 2012... its the same thing as 2000 and nothing happenned, the only thing that we will see in 2012 its a extraordinary cosmic event, the sun aligned with the center of milky way.
I think that when this event occurs, a "new sun" its going to start as mayans said... but its not necessarily the end of the world. It could be a good change for mankind!

Well i don't really know, i think that something will happen that day but i don't think that the world really will end that day.
Maybe that's just the start of the apocalypse like theres a nuclear war that will wipe out most of the human race but there will still be survivors or something similar to that.
