Ya I believe there is a god I am Christian (and a Hentai Fan) but God is an all loving god and accepts me for who I am just as long as I keep my Faith and I do I mean I may not go to church (Very often) but I do believe and someone once told me that god hates the sin not the sinner! plus we are all sinners and thats why I am still a hentai fan today plus the fact that somewhere somebody told me that god wants you to be faithful to him (Believe in him Truly) and he will let you in to Heaven and I for one Believe that! (Flame away if you want I don't care) also one thing I want to get out there Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses are messed in the head these people suck the life out of the Christian faith and only think of themselves Plus the money they collect goes directly to the church not the people who really need it.

Point the finger at your own religion, not just others. The way yours is used is not much different than the way the catholic/mormon religions are used. When you say everybody else is bullshit except me, you put on blinders. Take those blinders off.

Well actually the Catholics Contradict the bible in so many ways some examples
1. they worship people other than Jesus (which is a big no no if you've read the 10 commandments "Thou shall have no other god before me" 2. They have you confess your sins to a guy in a booth when your suppose to confess them to God himself.
I know this because I am evangelical (A Branch of Christianity that makes sense to me)

one thing I find enouying about catholic sermons is they refer to god they always say Jesus, yet never seem to refer to the trinity or god himself always just Jesus.

I actually like evangelicals because they accentuate how repulsive religion is - it is no coincidence that the decline of Christianity (in general) in America and the rise of the Christian right coincide.

Do you believe that the bible is infallible? If you could describe how it "makes sense" to you, that would be helpful. By saying "I am evangelical," do you mean that you're a zealous preacher and advocate for your religious doctrine?

The Bible Infallible? hard to say, but I am no zealous preacher I know there are some facts in the bible that don't stand up in History but alot of them are life lessons to live by not to tell of history. The reason it makes sense to me is something I can't explain without somebody chewing me out for some dumb reason I believe what I believe.

Okay fine!! I'll spill. The reason I believe in God is because of what happened a few years back in 2007 I broke my leg really badly and was in the hospital for almost a week, and I was in intense pain alot and the pain killing drugs they gave me did nothing so all I could do was pray to Jesus and sure enough within an hour my pain was almost gone and it became tolerable. so I started to Truly believe. Another time I prayed for a chance to get me out of the Town I was living in because I was living on my own, Jobless and starving and the answer came to me that same year but I beleive god was giving me a life lesson not to hate my town because I tried to move back to my hometown in 2008 and it backfired And I kept insulting and belittling the town I lived in (Because it was so boring) then once I moved back to my hometown things looked up for me and they have been going good ever since. My motto for praying to god is this "if you truly believe, you will receive".

If you believe simply out of faith, then no one can really tell you you're wrong. You can't change someone's mind when they really, truly believe in something out of faith, which is to say, they believe it because they do. People seem to like faith, and regardless of any objective fact behind that faith, the faith itself can be quite helpful to people who have it.
They problem really arises when people can't separate faith from things like provable, testable, facts. When people say the bible is full of true stories, or science backs creationism. Things that simply are not true.
Faith isn't inherently a bad thing, but too many people have too big a problem getting it out of the way when looking at the rest of the universe.

Which is kinda contradicting, since almost all religion tell the believers to spread it out to the whole universe.

Believe it or not, I just read a Forward in the bible I have at home (well most of it) and guess what, the forward says that the first 11 chapters of Genesis are a myth, or Legends as the author calls it. Even the bible (the forward) says Creationism isn't true. The forward then says that the Bible is not something historic, just a book on a faith.

If God does not exist, as you say, how can one have a soul?
What is the need of a soul if it has nowhere to go at the end?

I don't understand. You believe God does not exist physically, but that he exists spiritually? And even then you go on to say that man made God up. If that is so, then God "spiritually" does not exist either.

I have my own style of thinking that would probably make the rest of your turn your nose and just say I'm delusional, but here goes.
In my belief I do believe in "God", but as in god I do not mean the exact god that is in a religion, I believe there is someone on a higher plane of existence than us humans are and that someone does help watch over the world of the living though of course he cannot equally distribute love to the unspeakable amounts of people that are on this earth.
Though in all actuality I'm also someone who believes that there is not only one reality, and every path that could have been, is, in another reality, and in turn all realities are nothing but paths that could have happened. In my mind, though I also think that as you think of new ideas, those ideas become something that actually exist, belonging to another reality that you might have just created by thinking of this.

I know this post sounds like it should be in the "Incoherent Babbling" section, but I have thought this over many many times in my head since I was a small boy, and this is just what I believe, I hope everyone would at least be understanding and try to think, and I mean intelligently think of this, it will make at least a lick of sense to most of you. :)

I hope for heaven but im not completely convinced by it. I think that theres a word for that. I hope there is a place we go when we die but i dont believe the bible much. I mean how can people believe in a guy who can walk on water but not harry potter DX i mean if you really look its kind of the same thing DX i dont like organized realigions.. they are kid of corrupted now, i mean i think having a belief it fine and dany but when you start treating another person as god thats where i draw the line... understand where im getting at?

If there ever was a god, it's dead(or on vacation?) now. else there would be some serious firey rain happening to the better part of the earth.
