If God gives you free will to choose evil, but knows what you are going to choose, then do you have free will? And if this is true, why would God choose his followers to fall?

Free will - is what you do in spite of somebody being aware of it. Another thing - if you do evil - ya'll burn in hell. But that's free will for ya :)

The existence of God is subjective and depends entirely on the peoples belief. If a majority of people believe so, even a pile of shit could be a God, or at least it would be to them. Since Christians believed Jesus was the son of God, he was. since the Egyptians believed the Pharaoh's were gods, they were.

This do not turn them to a supernatural, bearded guy who lives in the clouds with the power over heaven and earth, but it undoubtedly gives them the status of gods.

No, I do not believe that God, JHVE or Allah, or w/e you choose to call him exist, but for the people that purely and doubtlessly believe in him now, and for those who has done so these last 2500 years or so, he does/did indeed exist.

According to the Bible, he knows what you are going to do before you do it. This has to be in EVERY SINGLE DECISION, or God has invalidated himself, and thus no free will. Again, why would he CHOOSE a person to "burn in hell?".

i suppose it's some sort of a test or challenge. What i really know is being told of something is far from sencirely understanding it. So when ya fall a couple of times and then get up - you suffer it headfirst and fully understand why you have been warned. The HARD thing - is to receive this expirience/edification and stop doing bad without thinking about it every now and then.

Actually, I choose to go to church as a child, my parents never forced me too. I think that would count for something, as for now I still choose to believe on my own. Does that still not count for something?

(This is all just a personal opinion that im not trying to impose on anyone so dont get all upset if you disagree!)

My problem with a creator isnt that i absolutely dont believe in some higher power, (because anything is possible) but its that i dont believe everything just appeared a few thousand years ago.

I entirely believed in god until about 4th grade science class (oddly enough, thats when i was enrolled into the honors program at my elementary school). Thats when i first heard the theory of evolution, which changed my life. I stopped going to church in early 7th grade, much to the disappointment of my parents. I like living a more free lifestyle, that im not sure i would have in a religious life...i probably wouldnt be on this site at all.

But these are all just choices and opinions personal to me =)

FIRST: Why the hell do you think he already knows watch'a gonna do? You have a CHOICE. You ALWAYS have a CHOICE even if it doesn't look like so in the moment.
Or do you think he already knows what comes from what choice? Then the best thing here is to surprise God and do some jungle dance or do nothing at all - just to be sure no bad is done.

SECOND: Why the hell do we need to know that he knows what we know etc... or be concerned about it? Nobody can prove if he has such future-seeing powers (or even if he lives) so that's not the point. Okey, Lets just say he's doing his Job.
He build earth, he planted civilization and now he's dwelling among us. What the Bible says is that our first priority (and What you really need to be conscerned about)
is what not to do - the bad things. You are free to live as you like. But these commandments will only bring the best in_people/for_people in all possible situations so they are like edification from wise and clear-eyed people who call themselves "His servents". The important thing here is not what they call themselves (or their saints, or their angels, or their demons).

THIRD: Why do we have to heed the commandments? It sounds like: "Why do we have to go to school/work?" shit. Answer: becouse eventually you will die faster or live a sorrowful life. It may be not noticeable by now but later, when you look at your life back, you will see clearly or face it. Not only christians have commandments - they are in buddhism and hinduism and are alike (i'm speaking about the important ones, others are just cultural preferences or other shit).

FOURTH: And what about hell? ...I've got to tell you i'm not the religious type but i know for sure: an easy way to meritoriously behave thyself is to be really afraid of the consequences. Don't know if hell exists and ,truth be told, i don't even care. If ya do your thing right, with no shame or regret, doubt or temptation you have no reason to fear, SHIT, you woun't even think about it. The rest leave to Himself. If he exists - i'm pretty sure he'll do his job right.

Ofcourse it counts for something! Faith must be sincere in order to live - otherwise it becomes duty and the longing for it and happieness from it fades away and i am pretty sure it is not what the bible asks for..

How do you judge a sorrowful life? An Atheist doesn't follow the commandments. Will he/she die faster or live a sorrowful life? It seems to me you are generalizing. Atheist can be good to people and live a respectful life without following the commandments. Can they be saved?

If you don't care that Hell exist, then why would you waste your time telling someone that they will go to Hell if they don't follow God?

where do i start... firstly, when i say Commandments - i mean: do not kill, do not steal, do not slander, do not envy...
and who said Atheists don't do commandments, they pretty much do it - and that's why you are saying they're good and life-respectful. They just don't give a religious thought to it (as "for this i'm gonna go to heaven" or "here i must do as the bible demands"). It's called humanity.
You see, common sense, morals and commandments are not so different things, taking into account that the first steps of developing community were taken due to religion (as you learned in early schooldays) so the only difference between atheists and christians (as something major, cuz there are many wise and stupid aberrant people with or without religion) is the constant thinking of salvation.
Personally i think salvation is bullshit, but hey, who am i to question the world, ay?
