I assumed you were going with the idea of the "God of the Bible". That is why I asked the question about him knowing before we act.
Is God all knowing if you surprise him? Again, just a question.
Don't know lad. For me - that doesn't matter.

Firstly, God is all knowing, according to the Bible. Are you accepting the Bible as evidence of his existence? I'd like to know before I go on.
Nay, i'm not accepting it.

It seems to me you are generalizing. Atheist can be good to people and live a respectful life without following the commandments. Can they be saved?
where do i start... firstly, when i say Commandments - i mean: do not kill, do not steal, do not slander, do not envy...
and who said Atheists don't do commandments, they pretty much do it - and that's why you are saying they're good and life-respectful. They just don't give a religious thought to it (as "for this i'm gonna go to heaven" or "here i must do as the bible demands"). It's called
humanity.
You see, common sense, morals and commandments are not so different things, taking into account that the first steps of developing community were taken due to religion (as you learned in early schooldays) so the only difference between atheists and christians (as something major, cuz there are many wise and
stupid aberrant people with or without religion) is the constant thinking of salvation.
Personally i think salvation is bullshit, but hey, who am i to question the world, ay?

How do you judge a sorrowful life?
It's not me who judges your life -
your the one who judges it.
(and as i recall
condemnation was a bad thing also)

You don't need fear to be disciplined. You said yourself it's an "easy" way. I assume there are other ways. What about them?
Damn, that's very simple: just behove the commandments by heart.
My acquaintance with these kinda matters lied through busido and zen-buddhism (and ofcourse life expirience and discourse), not to mention my mother's a christian fanatic, so what i'm saying is what i belive. But it's easier said then done,ay :)

If you don't care that Hell exist, then why would you waste your time telling someone that they will go to Hell if they don't follow God?
Hah, that was a joke (a funny paradox - you do as you see fit, you weight and measure your life values, in every day you form them and defend them. And then some guy says "God knows all about you. You'll burn in hell.")

If "God" exists, why does he have to have, as you say, a job? Can't he just leave it alone and watch?
EDIT: Then what's the point in faith (in him) or prayer?
if ya belive in him, belive in what he's doing. That's trust for ya. i suppose it's better for you to read the bible.
Besides i used this job thingy as an example to imagine his role in the creation and maintenance of the world.

I ask you, Is God just and loving?
...wtf? How old are ya mate?
How is this relevant to the question?
Okey, how do you think: is air just and loving?
