NEW: Support this project on Kickstarter (will be translated and made available on steam)
-This game is translated-
This is an updated version of the original 2004 game (this came out in 2008) which adds official Vista support, voices, higher resolution (From 640x480 to 800x600), and a few new CGs. This has been translated just like the original version and even the menus and graphics have been translated. Also included are translation notes within the game (see anpan screenshot below). It also has the ability to allow you to choose any font you have installed on your system (I suggest Segoe UI). The translation of this is an updated version done by the same people for the original version of the game. This game works with any Windows NT Operating System (2000, XP, Vista, 7, etc.)
Description:
Tomoya Okazaki is a third year high school student resentful of his life. His mother passed away from a car accident when he was younger, causing his father to resort to alcohol and gambling. This results in fights between the two until Tomoya's shoulder is injured in a fight. Since then, Tomoya has had distant relationships with his father, causing him to become a delinquent over time. While on a walk to school, he meets a strange girl named Nagisa Furukawa who is a year older, but is repeating due to illness. Due to this, she is often alone as most of her friends have moved on. The two begin hanging out and slowly, as time goes by, Tomoya finds his life shifting in a new direction.
Installation: 1.) Download all the files in the folder or use the torrent. If you used the torrent it includes an installer which you run and it does everything for you and you are done. If you want to use the latest translation with the torrent proceed to step 4. Those of you who used the direct download read on. 2.) Open the .7z.001 file using 7zip. When asked for a password use the word "fakku" without quotes. Extract the .ISO file anywhere you want. 3.) Mount the .ISO (or .bin if you used torrent) with Daemon Tools Lite or any other virtual drive software and install using the autorun_rlsmm.exe. (bottom left button is OK, bottom right is cancel.) 4.) Download and extract the contents of the Translation Files to the Clannad_FV folder in its default location of C:\Key or where you specified to install it and then overwrite any files that it asks. 5.) Enjoy.
Install size: 4 Gigs.
FAQ: Q: Is this an H-game? A: No. The only H Clannad that I know of is Tomoyo After. Q: Will my save data from the older game work with this one? A: Not really. It will save most of the images and about the same amount of songs but in order to get the lost music and images back your going to have to replay the entire game. Q: Will these translation files work with the older 2004 version? A: Nope! But if you go to Doki's site you can find them there. Q: I don't see the translator notes like in the 3rd screenshot! A: The torrent has a slightly different version of translator notes. If you used the DDL and can't see them make sure you have Visual C++ installed. Also you have to click the word for them to pop up. Q: Walkthrough? A: For a quick one try this. There is also a "300 hour" guide which will get absolutely everything. Available here.
The translation files included are Doki's 20120607 with a no-dvd cracked .exe added.
You may PM me or reply to this thread if you have any problems or questions. You may not copy this post outside of Fakku!
This is not the torrent section. Also I thought this was just Waffle house's updated translation to the Clannad VN. Not that a re-release would be awesome but the old VN (apparently old) already supported Vista).

Whats wrong with the torrent? I guess its just my personal preference but I'll try to find some DDLs for you. The Vista thing is most likely just a workaround so you don't have to right-click->run as admin. I'm not sure if you had to do that or not with the old one in Vista because I never used it with that.
From the install webpage:
Apparently, the new official Full Voice PC version of CLANNAD will sport the following features:
* Full Voice except Tomoya (everyone will be reprising their role from the TV anime)
* Resolution: 800×600 (up from the original 640×480 but not as high as the XBox 360 version which sports 1280×720)
* Additional Event CG’s
* Official Windows Vista support
* Price: 6800円
I wasn't asking for the DDL links just saying that this should have went into the torrent section because it's a torrent. I have played Clannad VN far too much to want to play it any time soon again.
Added a DDL link that somebody else has up. I haven't tried it but the torrent is 3.7 gigs and so is that DDL. If you find any better links let me know.
Installed the game successfully. Only problem I had was with the No-dvd patch but I solved that by deleting the japanese characters in the filename.
Copied my SAVEDATA folder from the old clannad and it recognizes 74% of the images in CG mode and theres about 15 missing songs in music mode. It seems to have worked correctly because I have after story available and the girl is on the front. Guess thats the extras for ya.
Also, it might be just me but it sounds like the music is a better quality than the original. And if you copied your savefile over, I'm sorry to say that the "skip previously read text" button is reset.
So, did you asked a permission for those DDL links. cause if not then it's stealing...
and the music is the same, it's just you..
and just some other points
-The "old" one uses the same Voice pack as the "new", since it was ripped from the new one.
-There are only 1 new CGs.
This is the only thing different
#changes
-resolution improved from 640×480 to 800×600
-vista compatible
-obviously full voice
So, Guys with the old version ones doesn't need to download this "version" because it's generally the same.

Is it practically the same? It's said on the 2008 patch detail that there are updates on some translations and menu interface. I haven't tried this new patch yet so if it's the same then I won't DL this. If you mean the story translation then forgive my misunderstanding.
can't confirm it since I don't have the "Full Voiced" installed, but a user in HF said that KEY announced 1 extra CG

Lol, I meant the story in general. I don't really care much about the the whole translation updates and menu interface...since I already finished the whole thing before the translation is up...>_>
That's a no. because if we just let people upload "torrents" here, than the torrent upload section would be meaningless
anything Torrent whatever the content is still have to got to the torrent section.
We really like to keep the consistency of the upload section.
I always thought the torrent section to be a little useless since the members usually tag their download on the title, but I guess what you say makes sense.

well, the only accepted torrent is when, they "accompany" the DDL links...
from the README.txt of the translated menus + graphics:
-----------VERSION 1.5 --------------
Changes:
Now with Misae's goodness!
In version 1.5, not only the menus are translated, but also some of the graphics from Misae's route.
We can only hope he does more.
About the new CG thing: I'm fairly sure there's more than one.
