NEW: Support this project on Kickstarter (will be translated and made available on steam) -This game is translated- This is an updated version of the original 2004 game (this came out in 2008) which adds official Vista support, voices, higher resolution (From 640x480 to 800x600), and a few new CGs. This has been translated just like the original version and even the menus and graphics have been translated. Also included are translation notes within the game (see anpan screenshot below). It also has the ability to allow you to choose any font you have installed on your system (I suggest Segoe UI). The translation of this is an updated version done by the same people for the original version of the game. This game works with any Windows NT Operating System (2000, XP, Vista, 7, etc.) Description: Tomoya Okazaki is a third year high school student resentful of his life. His mother passed away from a car accident when he was younger, causing his father to resort to alcohol and gambling. This results in fights between the two until Tomoya's shoulder is injured in a fight. Since then, Tomoya has had distant relationships with his father, causing him to become a delinquent over time. While on a walk to school, he meets a strange girl named Nagisa Furukawa who is a year older, but is repeating due to illness. Due to this, she is often alone as most of her friends have moved on. The two begin hanging out and slowly, as time goes by, Tomoya finds his life shifting in a new direction. Screenshots:Spoiler: Download Folder : Mega Password: fakku You will also need these if you don't already have them installed: Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Microsoft DirectX Or you can use this torrent which includes everything Installation: 1.) Download all the files in the folder or use the torrent. If you used the torrent it includes an installer which you run and it does everything for you and you are done. If you want to use the latest translation with the torrent proceed to step 4. Those of you who used the direct download read on. 2.) Open the .7z.001 file using 7zip. When asked for a password use the word "fakku" without quotes. Extract the .ISO file anywhere you want. 3.) Mount the .ISO (or .bin if you used torrent) with Daemon Tools Lite or any other virtual drive software and install using the autorun_rlsmm.exe. (bottom left button is OK, bottom right is cancel.) 4.) Download and extract the contents of the Translation Files to the Clannad_FV folder in its default location of C:\Key or where you specified to install it and then overwrite any files that it asks. 5.) Enjoy. Install size: 4 Gigs. FAQ: Q: Is this an H-game? A: No. The only H Clannad that I know of is Tomoyo After. Q: Will my save data from the older game work with this one? A: Not really. It will save most of the images and about the same amount of songs but in order to get the lost music and images back your going to have to replay the entire game. Q: Will these translation files work with the older 2004 version? A: Nope! But if you go to Doki's site you can find them there. Q: I don't see the translator notes like in the 3rd screenshot! A: The torrent has a slightly different version of translator notes. If you used the DDL and can't see them make sure you have Visual C++ installed. Also you have to click the word for them to pop up. Q: Walkthrough? A: For a quick one try this. There is also a "300 hour" guide which will get absolutely everything. Available here. The translation files included are Doki's 20120607 with a no-dvd cracked .exe added. You may PM me or reply to this thread if you have any problems or questions. First I installed "clannad" itself. Then installed "clannad FV", then copied
the "Voice and Translation pack" (cannot find a "Clannad Translation Files.rar") over to "clannad FV". Is that it?
Do I even need to have the original clannad installed if never even used?

When you run first run it, it will look like that screenshot on the first page. i.e. having copyright symbol 2008 in bottom left and it saying Clannad Full Voice top right. I've since updated the files on the front page in order to make installation easier by putting them all in one file so download that and follow the instructions. Also, I'm pretty sure that if you install these files with the older version of clannad it won't run at all. The only image that you need to have installed is the Clannad_FV.iso that is provided here. If in your installation folder of C:\Key you have a folder called Clannad - that one is the old version and you don't need it. the folder should be called Clannad_FV

I have a question. I used DAEMON tools to mount the game and I installed it, however, I have no idea how to launch the game. Can anyone help?

Edit: Okay, I figured out how to run the game, however, when I start it up I got a messge that, I guess, asked me what font I wanted the text displayed in. I chose New Times Roman and now I can't progress, as the dialogue box keeps saying "error". What can I do?

Try redownloading the translation files. I have probably updated them since you first downloaded them. The only other thing I can think of is if you are using the older 2004 version with these files which will result in what you are getting. If you use the files that are here on the first page you shouldn't have any problems at all. A quick check to see if your using the right version is the the copyright date on the bottom left of the title screen. If its 2004 its the old one. 2008 is this one. And the font dialog that you got is normal. You can even change the font again in the game settings on the right side.

edit: I rechecked all the file hashes from the download with what I'm using and they are the same.

That is really odd. Do you have East Asian Languages installed? If it doesn't work after that try running it using NTLEA with Japanese locale. You can get NTLEA here: http://www.nakido.com/search?tag=NTLEA

God I've been wanting to play Umineko but now that this is out, i'm in a pinch on what to pick to play knowing it'll take me weeks to finish one of them and move onto the other.

Anyways +rep to you man. Been wanting to play this game for 4 years.

For east asian languages you just go to control panel then regional and language options and in the languages tab tick the checkmark for east asian languages. Try the game again and if it doesn't work try NTLEA.

Edit: Okay, tried running the game with the Japanese language pack, but to avail. I still keep getting the same error. It keeps saying the text can not be formatted

Hello.
I've downloaded the file in torrent and succesfully extracted it.
Now my problem is also the same with Happy.

I've already downloaded NTLEA, but it is still the same.

If both Happy and my problems are really the same, it just means adding the East Asian pack would do nothing.

Please help...been looking forward for this for months...

hmmm...it should work as soon as you change the system locale to jap....can you explain the problem more?

As I have already mentioned, Im also experienceing the same problem like Happy.
The text only saying "Error" and " Cannot be formatted"

I've downloaded the NTLEA, but I still haven't installed the East Asian language pack.

But, seeing that Happy and I have the same problem, I concluded that installing the pack would be useless...I know its very rude to just judge something that I haven't tried before.

I'll try installing the East Asian language pack next time. My computer doesn't have that much more HD space.

But please help me still...are there any more ways other than installing the East Asian language pack?

hmm...applocale. try it. but just note that i've never used it because after i change the non-unicode settings to jap it all works for me...this and many other games. but i heard that applocale kinda works...

Everybody(including you zetsubuobilly) having the "error can't read format" error thing, when the game starts

I'm not sure about all the file things and stuff, but i did some googling and i found that thread. Just go to that page and scroll down to the post made by locul.
At the time i'm posting this,the post made by locul is currently the last one on the page.

It SHOULD work, i had the same problem with you guys and mine works now.

Yeah, I'm too am getting the text only saying "Error" and " Cannot be formatted". The game still runs, but there's nothing to read execpt Error where the name should be and Cannot be formatted where the text of the would be.

I don't think that thread will help me since it talks about XP while I'm running Vista 32bit. I changed Regional and Language Options> Administrative> Current language for non-Unicode programs: Japanese (Japan). Do I have to click on the button Copy to reserved account? It doesn't say anywhere so I didn't.

That NTLEA thing I downloaded from the link above is password protected so I can't open it.

Well the only thing is different from that install procedure is to install visual c++. The only other thing that might possibly be wrong is that I gave you my own reallive.exe that works on my comp - maybe its not compatible with other comps? I'll update the required files and faq with this information.
