"I thought that only four people were supposed to do this? Mira asked, slightly confused of the whole thing.

Darren scratched his chin, thinking, before asking, "I have a suppressor for my main gun, but where am I supposed to get night-vision goggles? Do we have an armory or a supplier, or something?"

Lex turned to Darren and answered him simply,

"Just get one off the shelf."

Lex then turned to Mira and said,

"So who do you think is gonna pilot the thing? I doubt you can. Just follow my orders. And Chelsea, get Eden some painkillers, I don't want her to ruin everything because of a hangover. Anymore questions?"

He looks around the members of the assault team as he awaits the answer.

I take some of the pills that were handed to me, and swallow them.

"Mm. I got a question, nya~. So, I'm supposed to destroy everything except for the helicopter we're going to be using to leave? Or am I just supposed to cripple them enough by taking out their generators, fuel lines, ammo depots, and some helicopters?", I said as I leaned my head against the wall from where I was still seated.

While listening to Lex talk about the specifics to the assault team of their duties, Markus heard that they needed some painkillers. By luck, he had some and handed some to the poor fellow that needed them. Both nod to each other after Markus had given the pills and they continued listening to Lex.

*sigh* "Wish things can move along and I get to do something... and silencers? I don't really see much use to them... All well...." he thought.

With that, he closed his eyes doing his best to listen to any important things, though began dozing off.

I stayed at Winchester's house with him and his wife, Murphy. It was an alright experience, the two seemed to make a good pair though it felt a bit awkward for me to sit there with them. We discusssed about how things would suppose to go, during and after then raid, and made plans. Winchester is a good man, his wife is kind as well. . . Not all the time but to a consistent rate. We finalised our plans and I slept on a couch, it wasn't any different to when I used to work late back at the company.

The next day, I wake up my usual time and take a glance at my watch, 6:30 AM right on schedule. I look around and notice that neither Winchester or Murphy is up yet. I decide to go and get them some breakfast, taking off my laptop bag, headset, radio and bandolier sling, I take off from the front and head towards the nearest cafe. I come back with two packs of hot cakes and a club sandwich. I notice that neither of them aren't up yet still, I take a look at my watch, 7:02 PM. I gave a shrug and went to the kitchen to drop off the food, I notice a letter on the counter and I take a read.

Ling,

Sorry to be leaving you right now, I just got an urgent mission from Jon. Me and Murphy have both gone so I'm afraid that you'll be by yourself for sniper support.

Remember what we discussed last night, I'll leave it to you to tell the rest what to do. You're a good man, Ling, I'm sure you can do it. There's a room acrosss from the airbase ready for you, it's room 5G and it'll give you perfect coverage of the base. Good luck and God speed.

P.S. I hope you weren't bothered by the noise last night, Murphy and I were. . . yeah, you get it.

I smirk, that guy knows how to be nice when he wants to. I take a bite from my club sandwich as I ponder for a moment. I've got a lot of time before the operation commences, let's take another look at the battle plan. I head to the living room, still eating the sandwich, and start up my laptop. Stretching my arms, I read up on the plan and take a look at the positions on the map.

((OOC: guess if you havent heard yet, Yukito has made me the temp GM until he can sort out his daily life. We'll start the mission soon as soon as the assault team is done discussing))

For the meanwhile, I rented in one of the hotels here in Virginia, just a couple of streets away from the pub while waiting for the assault team to call me.

I entered its main entrance. A door, not so luxurious, just enough for a one week bed rest for someone like me. The Hotel’s hall is designed creatively. With walls carved different angels and heavenly images, my eyes kept rolling with its beauty.

The glorious Chandelier, dispersing a yellowish, orange bright light across everything, makes the hall exceptional. The couch inside was exorbitant, I think. With a soft, cuddly, pumpkin-colored mattresses and pillows, each with a linen surely made of Gold.

Our family is not rich. But my parents spoiled me so much that they made me dependant on them.

The lobby is placed in the main side of the hall, with two attendants in it. I decrease the pace of my walk, and checked my wallet if there is sufficient money to support my finances.

“Good evening, Ma’am. Welcome to Leesburg’s Finest Hotel. Would you like to stay in? ” Welcomed the man wearing black tuxedo.

“Yes, Thank You. I need a room for myself, please. With one bed, a shower, and a cable Television. Is there any room available?” I asked.

“There always is, ma’am.”

The transaction went one and, finally, he gave me the keys. I have nothing against the attendants, or the welcome remarks. Its just that, its, too formal for me. Yes. For me who would soon be a part of an assault team and would cause a big trouble in this city.

I continued walking, but then, something surprised me…

Mira replied to Lex with a smirk, "You do know that I have experiences with piloting such air crafts yes? Why do you think Winchester said that I'm a 'damn fine solder'?" for a moment, Mira paused.

Mira stopped smiling now, "I feel slightly disappointed, that you don't have good amount of information for the solders you're making plans for. And not to mention, that plan is a bit too shaky; because why should there be distraction to begin with? If the ones with the task of sabotaging gets caught on the track, then the distraction can take place. But whatever," she then shrugged.

((OOC: Late post is late... ))

Looking at the plans Winchester had given me, I decide to check up on the Assault team. I specialy wired my PTT radio and headset to connect with the phone Winchester had given us all (actually, I just bought an adapter for it) and looked through the numbers. I didn't know which number belonged to who so I picked one at random, I heard the phone dial and I waited till I heard an answer from the other side.

As Lex listened on to Mira with a slightly irritated feeling, he turned on to the rest of the team and then said,

"Well, since you so obviously wants to fly it, fine, I'll approve of it. Change of plans. Rachel, you're off the team. Adrian, I'll need you to hack into the security systems and disable the alarms. Do it in 15 minutes, no more than that. Then as soon as you hear from Mira, hack and disable the anti-air sentries. The last thing we need is for the heli to be shot down. We'll now split into 2 teams. Team 1 will take the heli while Team 2 will sabotage the control rooms after we infiltrate. Team 1 consists of Mira and Darren. Team 1 will take the sewers and infiltrate into the building after 10 minutes. Team 2 consists of myself and Eden. We will proceed through the boom gates in the back and cripple the security rooms for the hangar and the barracks. Rachel, go and call Winchester about the change of plans and tell him to delay his distraction for 40 minutes and tell Ling that sniper support about 25 minutes into the plan as soon as he sees a red flare at the entrance. Markus, you'll provide sniper support for Team 2. You are to relay as much information to Team 2 as possible. Failure is not an option."

Lex looks at Mira sternly.

"'Kay then, gotcha," Mira replied, barely looking at Lex now.

I wait for a while with no answer. I hang up the phone and revise plans when suddenly, the phone starts to ring again, I answer the call and talk into the microphone of my headset. "Hello, this is Liam speaking."

A woman speaks through the other side, she states her name to be Rachel, I think I remember hearing Lex mention her name before I left. She informs me about updates on the assault team's plan though it sounds quite ill-prepared and botchy, almost too amatuer. "Excuse me, can you get me Lex or any one from the assault team?" I ask her, she tells me to hold on for a moment and I can hear her footsteps approaching a growing voice.

"So all I have to do is cripple the security systems? How boring. I could do that in my sleep, nya~.", I say as I get up from the floor and dust of my butt.

"So if that's it, then when are we going to go?", I ask as I point towards the small entrance.

Darren frowned, hearing the word 'sewer', giving a displeased stare at Lex. He shrugged his shoulders and turned to look at Mira, giving her a quick nod of acknowledgment. "I hope we work well together, then."

"Be patient. I'm not done with the plan. Anthony, I want you to secure the safe house that was prepared in the a small town call Lovettsville. That will be our rendezvous point.

Mira, fly the heli to the outskirts of the town using the cover of the night. There are a landing pad there that is hidden in the canyon. Jon told me about it. I'll give you the coordinates so take it down.

Chelsea, I want you to go with Rachel when she's driving the car to extract us."

Just as Lex was about to continue on, Rachel's voice sounded out.

"Lex~~~Ling is calling for you~~~~"

Clicking his tongue for being interrupted, he walked towards Rachel and took the phone.

"This is Lex. What is it Ling?"

"Sir, just wantint to inform you that Winchester and Murphy will not be accompanying us on the mission. Also, just wanted to knoww if you are all ready yet, the mission commences at 1900 hours today. I'm making my way to the HQ right now, anything you need to say, you can tell me when I get there, Ling out." I hang up and pack all my equipment, getting ready to leave the house when I noticed that the letter Winchester gave me had a second side.

P.P.S. I recall you saying you didn't have a place to stay in this town, in which case, you can stay here for the time. Take care of the house while we're gone.

I smirk as I head to the door, I notice a set of keys hanging from a hook, I take them and they're labeled with names of certain rooms. I leave the house, locking the door, and call a taxi fairly quickly. I get in and ask him to take me to the pub. The driver nods and we head off, I take a look at my watch (which I finally got new batteries for), 4:23PM, its almost time when we're supposed to meet up.

Its my friend…

“Nancy!” I shouted towards her direction. The sound echoes through the hallway, but she is preoccupied with her cellphone. What is she doing here anyways?...

It was a couple of years ago, after my parents died. The burial was so unrestful, for me. There have been a lot of people in the necro service. People my mother healed and helped, father’s comrades and co-marksman, neighbors, friend, and even uninvited guests. The place is filled with tons of people I never knew.

There were all there the moments our parents are sent into the catacombs from Afghanistan. Some are pledging to help me, some ignores, some… I don’t know. I refuse to talk to anyone though, feeling the weight of my parent’s loss onto my fragile shoulders.

But there was her, Nancy Scullark. My childhood bestfriend ever since. We grew together in Manitoba, Canada, but both of us are Americans. We used to share the same school, same friends, even the same room when she wanted to sleep at our house.

We were like sisters. We talk about anything we like confidently. We are not afraid of sharing to one another. Oh, Nancy. My bestfriend who cries when I cry, without knowing the reason why.

We both lamented in each other’s arms. And I can see her trying to be strong for me. She’s the only one I can talk to, really, at the burial service.

Those times, she did everything for me. She entertains the guests and accommodates them, since I have no relatives left. Cook and prepare meal for them. Cleans my house in the middle of my grieving, and comforts me in the midst of my mourning.

Without her, I’d rather be dead those days…

I take a look at my watch, 4:36 PM, we have less than an hour to meet up for the operation. The driver pulls up in front of the pub, the same one from yesterday, I give him a 20 and get out of the taxi. I grab my phone and send an SMS to all the numbers (which I assumed were all of the members taking part of this operation.

"Just reminding everyone who isn't at the HQ yet that you have till 5:30 PM to do whatever and meet at the HQ for the operation. Also, Winchester will not be joining us for the mission. God speed, Good luck."

I take a breath as I pushed the send button and put away my phone. I enter the bar, the woman greets me again and I simply nod to her. After she goes to attend to other patrons, I make my way through the back, following the same directions I took last night until I finally made it to the Green room which I call it that because of the green lights. Everybody is there, discussing plans. . . Except for one person, I don't recall her name and I barely noticed her last night.

"Is everybody present?" I ask Lex as I walk over to his direction.

As Lex put down the phone, he faced the rest of the members.

"Well looks like your question was just answered Eden. The mission starts at 1900 hours. We'll be meeting up at 1730 to begin final check on equipments. You have time off until then. Go do whatever you like."

4.00PM.

Lex had took a seat on one of the tables. He had been there since the meeting and had started reading a book, "Draconic Ages" ever since. He wasn't a bookworm but he didn't hate books either but he usually on read non-fiction and those that had something to do with his job. His habit of reading something as ridiculous as fantasy was probably thanks to Misha. Misha had always tell him,"You need to read these kind of fantasy stories too! It's really cool with all the dragons, and adventures." Lex smiled slightly when he remembered that.

After a while, members of the assault team started arriving and sat around his table. Lex just kept silent at that and shut his book. Lex noticed that Chelsea had not arrived and had Rachel calling her without getting any response until Ling arrived.

"As you can see. The airhead has not arrive yet. If Rachel can't reach by 5.00 she's out for all I care. Soldiers that don't listen to orders are worse than useless. The only thing we need to do is get Rachel to shoot more enthusiastically than she usually does."

"Ehh~~Me again~~?"

Lex glared at her to shut up. Rachel just looked away without caring. Lex then turned to face Ling.

"So you got the gist of the plan?"

I gave a nod to Lex, "Yes Sir, you can count on me. I'll be the eyes for Team 1 and make sure they fulfill their objectives without a hitch." I retrain myself from saluting, this isn't Shan Tao and Lex, while he is a higher rank than me, is not a military officer. Our faction isn't anywhere near being an actual military, there's no discipline, no uniformity and i'm pretty sure a lot of the people aren't team players.

I tip my hat and nod to Lex, a sort of 'see you later' gesture, and walk off, doing final checks on my equipment and looking at my watch from time to time.
