After receiving the text, Markus quickly made a turn past the apartment and made his new destination the hotel. Once he got there, he quickly got himself a decent room overlooking the heliport. Of course he used an alias for the name and was not obvious when he asked for the room. After making a quick deposit for the rent and getting the keys, he calmly went to the given room: 5th floor, room 508.

Once inside, he took precautionary methods and set up some trip-wires and traps around the room; as well as planing "plan B" routes and setting up the equipment. Once in place, he texted to both Ling and Lex that he was in place. After sending the text, he pulled a chair near the window, sat there ready and waited.

"Took you long enough and we are supposed to be the only ones here" said Lex in a slightly annoyed tone.

He checked the time on his watch when his phone vibrated. Lex took out his phone and saw the text message from Markus. He turned to Eden and said,

"Markus is in place. In roughly 35 minutes we'll start the mission. Get yourself ready."

Lex took his rifle with him and walked cautiously to avoid detection towards the position he scouted out just now and lie near the cover of the bushes. He signaled for Eden to come over when the coast was clear.

"Aww. We're the only ones that are on the assault team? Phewey.", I say as I make a slight pouting face. For some reason, I didn't like Lex all that much. He seemed too stiff and strict, in my opinion.

I set down my Denel and look at the stuff I brought. I brought 5 clips, which was quite a lot, for the Denel. I had one clip already in the gun, so that made 6 clips with a total of 42 shots. I think back... "That's all of the ammo I have for it. I have to use it sparingly. These rounds are expensive."

I then take a look at my Glock, and notice I only had a total of 3 clips for it. One in the gun, and the remaining two I had stored at home.

"Man, I do not have a lot of ammo. I hope this will be okay.", I whisper to my self and I get ready again, and heft the Denel on my shoulder. I work my over next to Lex when he gave the signal.

"So, I just have to take out the security systems. Can I do so from here, with my Denel, or are we going to use some sort of bomb, nya~?", I whisper to Lex.

I stayed in the hotel for 2 days. The next night, I received a message from the team to get ready.

“This is it!” my determined whisper.

I took a shower, cleaning both my body and my thoughts. Am I ready for this? Am I even sure of this? What help could it give me?

I then rinse my wet body with the white towel beside the cabinet. Put on my “battle-nurse” outfit specifically designed for events like this, arranged the medicines and first aid I’ll need, and of course, the gun that my father gave.

I took the path unsure of myself. The building is not far from here, and its not too soon before we start, so I decided to travel on foot…

30 minutes. I am walking for 30 minutes. Then I stopped at the glance of seemingly familiar building. This is the site I am instructed to be at.

My sweat flowing. Hear pounding. Goose bumps appearing. Tears falling. Throat itching. Really. This is my reaction when I get nervous.

But I need to take a good grip of myself…
Each steps seems so heavy. My feet are stiff. My body frozen with the fear of dying…

I approached the second building when I found him…

"We'll have to go in. If we do it from here, we'll be found out. Getting in unnoticed is the key in this mission. Try not blow anything up until I told you to. Use your dismantling tools to take out the security systems. I don't want to make any unnecessary noise to attract attention."

Lex checked his watch again. 6.30PM. 30 minutes till the start of the mission.

Darren made his way to the fourth floor, knocking on the door and giving the password.

He smiled weakly, continuing, "Sorry, I got a bit lost... So what now? Is Mira here yet?"

I give a sigh, "Thunder. Usually, you wait for a response before you say anything. . . " I take a breath, hiding my annoyed expression as I opened the door, keeping a plain poker face up as I wecomed Darren in. I took a look at my watch, 6:43 PM, a few more minutes to spare and it seemed that everybody is in place. I turned to the two and cleared my throat to get their attention.

"As you all know, the mission will commence at 1900 hours, 17 minutes from now. You all know the plan, I presume? I'll be your sniper support. I'll be stationed in this room and will keep an eye on your surroundings via my rifle and satelite imagery from my laptop." I point over to the coffee table where my laptop screen showed a browser with live feed over the heliport. "I'll keep you informed about anything important that comes up and keep you notified on the enemy positions around you." I take a breath as I sit on the lounge, in front of my laptop. "Since we have 17 minutes to kill, we might as well discuss anything important about the mission while we're at it."

"Dismantling tools? I thought I was just going to either hack into them and disable them, or blow it up... Unless you are actually talking about me hacking into their security systems?", I asked Lex. "Half an hour, huh?".

"As long as you can destroy or cripple the systems without making a ruckus, I don't care what you use." Lex replied. He went silent and waits for the signal of the start of the mission from Ling.

"I can't guarantee that there might not be a small chance of us getting found out, but I can try my best.", I say to Lex. After a little bit, I move closer to him and ask him nonchalantly in a whisper, "Think you can introduce me to Ling after we're done with all of this?", I wink after saying that.

I look at both Mira and Darren, "Nothing?" I keep looking for a while before I take my phone and send Lex a text,

"Ready, wait in 5 minutes to give Team 1 time to reach the sewer entrance tunnel then follow up the plan. God Speed, Good Luck.
- Ling"

I look at them again and press the send button. "Well then, I guess we're commencing the operation. Head down the stairs and take the back exit, there's a manhole in the back alley you walk into, when you climb down, go leftwards and pass two manholes, the next one is in the heliport." I open the door for them to get out.

Mira walks out after Link opens the door, "This is kind of exciting, though sewers aren't exactly my place. We'll be counting on you, Ling," Mira said, she gave a salute for a moment and walked off.

I salute back to her, "Yes, Ma'am, best of luck to you both."

I shut the door after seeing them both off and sit in front of my laptop, watching the live feed from the satelite. I can see the manhole they're meant to infiltrate from quite clearly, there are no patrols nearby nor do any of the patrol routes cross the manhole. This part should be easy for them, I take a look at my watch, 6:58 PM, the patrols switch guards every hour meaning that we have one whole hour before they role call during the mission. One hour should be enough time.

I walk towards the sliding door, closed up with the curtains, I turn off the switch to the lights and the room goes dark. I drop onto the ground, taking my SRS from it's guitar case and setting it on the floor, the barrel petrudes from an opening of the sliding door and I take a look through my scope which I had changed to an NV scope for this mission. From here, I have a cleaer shot on almost every patrol, besides the ones behind the main building at the back but those would be Markus' problem. I look at my watch, counting down to 7:00 PM.

Lex sighed at Eden's remark and just ignored it as he felt his phone vibrate. Lex reads the message from Ling and confirmed the time again.

Lex then gave a short message to Markus. "Take those 2 at the boom gates out."

Understanding that the alarm would have been taken down by Adrian, Lex turns to Eden,
"As soon as Markus takes down those 2 guards, we're going in."

"Five. . . Four. . . Three. . . Two. . ." I take a look through my scope, "Changing of the guard" I say as the guards begin to move into the barracks. I send a text to everyone in the mission.

"Patrols are changing shifts, they take 5 minutes for role call and then the new guards will leave from the barracks. Now is your chance, everyone, infiltrate the heliport while they're still role calling.

- Ling"

I send the text to Mira, Lex and Markus and then look back in my scope, the heliport is empty, only guards at the main entrance are still there, can't see the back entrance thoug but I imagine they are also still there. I draw back from my rifle and sit on the lounge, scanning the screen of my laptop of the empty heliport grounds.

Markus was getting bored waiting and was about to doze off until he got a text from Lex. He then went to the window and prepared his gun in place. Once he saw the guards, Markus quickly took aim and shot them. *bang* *bang* Two down in a matter of seconds. Afterwards he got another text, this time from Ling. After taking a quick look he laughed a bit, "He he, already did the job before the even started huh? Well seems like this mission is a go then" Markus then took a look around, trying to survey if anyone was nearby the guards when he took them down.

No one. He then saw Lex and Eden move past the gate and infiltrated the base. He continued his job and watched for anyone that got in Team 2's way.

Its a man from the faction.
He stood there. Motionless. With face as blank as paper wearing a black coat with white truffles. Different.

I headed down to where he was. My body is frozen. My legs are stiff due to the extreme nervousness of his presence. Each step requires a large amount of effort.
When I reached his place, I decided to ask him about the others.

Before any utterance, he gave a white note and silently turned away. What’s this? What’s with him? Weird…

I carelessly unfold the note, And there it is, a letter from the Faction. Ordering me to stay idle in the hotel and wait for the second mission due to some incident.

My body then faced both relief and disappointment…

When he saw the guards falling, Lex signalled for Eden to follow him as he quickly but silently slipped pass the gate.

Lex checked the message from Ling as he move into the base. He quicken his pace as he worried about the changing shifts.

Darren stared at the entrance to the sewer tunnel, frowning slightly (and rather unprofessionally). He glanced back at Mira, before saying, "Hey Mira, ladies first?"

"Most obviously, yes."

She slowly made it down the ladder on the next momeny, until landing her foot on the solid floor of the sewer.

"Okay, you can come down now!"
