Freedom Faction RP

Lex stared at Ling slightly at his gesture, following him with his eyes as he walks away. Lex knew and understood that Ling was slightly unsatisfied with the way the faction is. To Lex, Ling is a dependable subordinate so he does not pursue any further about Ling knowing it to be a waste of time.

Lex stood up and took his M4A1 with him. He wasn't very well informed with guns but he at least knew enough to do a simple check and maintenance. He equipped the silencer and looked over his equipments confirming them; A Night-vision goggles, 3 flashbangs, 3 frags, an army knife, and his Beretta, checking his ammunition and everything.

After he was done, it was about 4.50pm. "Sometime left. Guess I'll just continue reading. he thought as he took out the book from his breast pocket, sat down and continued reading.

I prepare my SRS, having it ready for 7.62x51mm and replacing its standard scope for a night vision scope. I do final checks on my SRS before looking around the room, everybody is here. . . Except for one. It's a shame but we'll have to commence the mission without her. I pack my SRS into my guitar case along with the rest of my armaments and look at my watch, 5:02 PM, guess its time. I look over to Lex, still reading his book, before I take a breath.

At the top of my lungs, I shout, "ATTENTION!" and the whole room has its eyes on me. I'm quite nervous but it doesn't stop me, my emotion is hidden under a cold, expressionless face. I take one more deep breath and continue in a calmer and normal voice, "It's almost time for the operation to commence, you all know the score. Head to your starting positions and get ready." I tip my hat down and lower my head to cover my face as I started to walk off.

After the meeting was adjourned, I went down the street again to that curiosities shop that I was at before I went to the bar. I window shopped for a while, and bought myself a cat tail to go along with the cat ears I bought earlier. (And I won't go into specifics either, if you catch my drift.) After which I headed to the near by bus depot, where I had stored my stuff, previous to going into town.

I picked up my backpack, and placed my cat ears and tail inside of the bag, to save for later. I wanted to try something. And I then called for a taxi to take me to a set of apartment complexes near the edge of town, where I rented a small bedroom flat. It wasn't too crowded, as most of my things were taken by a raid earlier that year, and I had just started working back up. I had a laptop on my desk, and a closet full of other... well, lets just say that they were things to keep an otaku of my caliber sane. I plopped down on my bed and looked at the clock.

"2:45pm. I thought it would have taken longer to get back. Oh well, I can now get rid of some of this tension then.", I say to myself and go to my laptop.

I giggle a little as I turn it on and see my favorite wallpaper of Chen, and click on my web browser, going straight to one of my favorite sites.

A bit of time passes, as I ended up taking a shower, and the clock now showed that it was 4pm.

"Huh. I guess it's time to go do that mission. I wonder...", I say as I prance over to my closet and open up the doors.

I take back out the cat ears and tail, as I pull out my signature outfit, a white tank-top that said "ilolamai", small cut jean shorts, and some nice pair of white side-tie underwear, and my light brown fleece jacket. I get dressed, and put on the cat ears, and the tail... thought that was slightly difficult, and went out to the living room where I kept my other supplies in a secret place.

I heft the Denel PAW-20 over my shoulder, pocket a few more rounds in my bag, and equip my Glock 18C holster to my waist, with the gun, and put a couple clips inside my bag as well. I lock back up the gun safe and head out, keeping out of sight, as I headed to the meeting point for the start of the mission.

*Yawn* "ok then, gotcha Mr. Lex!," Markus says as he was finally given his order. Though a minor one, at least it was something to do for the mission. Be lookout for Team 2. Not a hard thing to do... Guess I need to get a sniper rifle for this mission i guess... this and many other thoughts ran though his mind as he walked back to a nearby apartment after the meeting was over. As he entered, he quickly greeted the old man at the front desk, who was reading a newspaper, nodded and then gave Markus a set of keys. "Second floor to your right."

"Thank you again old friend"

"Ya. Whatever. Remember..."

"..."If I get caught, I never met you or know you in any way or manner". Of course." Markus then hands the man a yellow envelope.

"That's it for the time being. I'll get you more after this ok?"

"....Fine..."

The man then left the desk and headed to a nearby restroom with the envelope.

"Sigh, that's drugs for you. too bad the new government went and banned a lot of drugs. Guess anyone would do anything just to get a small bit" Markus said to himself as he headed to the room intended for him. Once he entered, he quickly changed out of the current clothing he had and placed on the newly set ones prepared for him on the bed. He now wore his lab coat and gas mask over his bio-suit that he had when he worked at that 'pharmaceutical company'. He then got out a long suit case and opened it on the bed.

Within it held an SVD Dragunov sniper rifle, 4 loaded 7.62x54 ammo magazines, a small gun repair kit, spare parts, binoculars, and a few other miscellaneous items.

"Well, had a feeling I'd be lookout so guess having this set in handy was a good idea. Too bad I won't get to bring ol' "Bonnie" with me. (yes, he names his MGL 140 "Bonnie") Hope this 'job' will turn out well. Can't believe I didn't pack a night vision scope..."

He then notices a beep on his wrist. 4:32. "Well dang, been taking my time a bit too much," Markus sighed as he quickly got his things together and went back to the bar.

I decided not to interrupt Nancy, seems the call looks like it’s very important to her.

I managed to get to my room without being noticed. The room of my door is made of carved wood, like all of the doors in here. The room number is 56. Located on the second floor.

As I opened the door, the allure of the chandelier hanging on a twenty foot ceiling, glowing bright sunset- colors, surprised me. It’s not what I expect for a room in the second floor.

I wander across the room. Luxurious couches with tinted cream colors, cloud-like pillows, elegant and voice activated 4d television, heart pounding speakers, and a touch of seemingly impossible high technology computer camouflaged between cuddly stuffed toys.

The kitchen. Fine dining table with lavishing, exaggerating basketful of fruits and sweets. Orange-squash colored canvass above the silver tinted chairs. High ceiling fan that brings winter coldness.

The bedroom. What can I expect? California King bed. No. Its not ordinary. Its made of water entrapped by a container. You can’t see it, but when you lay down, the calming waves of sea will soothe your tired skin. A water bed. Beside it is a drawer, with the edges poured with solid gold. With such handle I can’t even dare to touch.

How can this be affordable to me? I remember the crew asking me a small amount of money to stay for this exorbitant room for weeks. If this room is this cheap, why aren’t so many people get to have a stay here? Is this such kind of a troll?

“Knock! Knock!” A knock to a door brings me back to reality…

I nod my head to Lex, who was still reading but seemed to have caught it, and left the building, into the alleyway. I walk out and end up on the sidewalk for the street and I call a taxi, one comes almost immediatley, I guess I'm pretty lucky that way. . . not really. I get in and ask the driver to take me to an apartment, the apartment which I had prepared a flat for the mission, it would be my station for this mission.

The driver givess me no complaints and starts driving. As he drove, I couldn't help but run possibilities in my head about the outcome of the mission. It seemed that I had drifted off in my simulations because it felt like only seconds later that the driver informed me that we reached the place. I thank him and pay him the fare and a small tip, he graciously takes it and wishes me a good day as he drove off. I guess all people, in some ways, are prostitutes. . . You give them some money and they'll treat you nice.

I head to the flat I had rented out, Apartment flat 4C, it was the perfect height to give me coverage and wasn't too high that I wouldn't be able to escape quickly. I open the door and take a quick scan, it's practically a perfect sniper spot, there were several windows facing the heliport and each had cream white curtains, the sliding door was in the living room which had a nice lounge and coffee table facing an old television unit.

I unpack my things, setting up my laptop on the coffee table and leaving my guitar case on the kitchen bench by the sliding door where I'd be sniping later. I look in the kitchen and find a few appliances inside. I check my watch, 5:14 PM, almost time for them to get ready. I take a look inside the cupboards and find some 'Instant Expresso' satchets and instant noodle packs, I smirk. I take a satchet and a pack, using the electric boiler to make an instant meal. I take a seat in the living room, blowing into my mug to coll down the coffee as I browsed the net on my laptop.

It’s the crew. Asking me if I wanted anything else.

Really… Is there anything more that this room doesn’t have? If I would ask for a bunchful of garbage, would they deliver it right this very moment? I wonder…


“No, this couldn’t be any perfect. Thank you.” I said with a simple smile.

“Welcome, maam. If you want something, you can approach the phone. Good evening.” The crew nods and gently closed the door, leaving my room in swift silence.


I hoist myself into the dining chair. Im starving. I grab a piece of luscious, red apple and stretched my fingers for the golden, shining and shimmering knife. I gently peeled the skin, revealing a yellowish white part of the apple.

I enjoyed the apple every bite. Indulging myself with its sweet taste. I could imagine myself as Eve now. Eating the sinful apple. After the apple, I had eaten other fruits too. The perfect, round orange, sweet smelling bananas, the seedless grapes. There could be a fruit salad dancing in my tummy probably…

I head into the alleyway quietly and as naturally as possible. He walked on out to the main road to take a cab. A cab arrives about 10 minutes later. I told the driver the location and I arrive there without any obstacles. 5.15 PM. The rest of the team should arriving anytime soon. I glanced at the airbase from afar and check it out for any signs of alarm.

Darren frowned, scratching his chin. He had taken a nice, casual stroll nearby the airbase scoping the terrain and as he arrived nearby he loitered around inconspicuously, waiting for the rest of the team around. He carried his weapons and gear in a plain, black hard case.

As he continued loitering, looked up at the sky, and an urgent thought entered his head - would he get to ride back in the stolen helicopter with Mira?

I scan through various yet similiar sites, closing off tabs to the inferior ones and narrowing the choice down to 3 different sites. These sites give live camera feeds to satelites and, since they are free, are not the good. I've narrowed it down to two through a criteria of quality, user-friendly-ness and security. Taking a look at the two, they are the two best but each have their own strong points and weak points. I rub my temples with my left hand as I think it over, I take a look out the window and notice Darren loitering around the heliport. Not really a good idea since publicly loitering itself is enough to be suspicious of some sort of terrorist act, not that we're terrorist or anything but its easy to accuse us of that.

I get Darren's contact on my phone and send him a text,

"You best be careful loitering there, they'll get suspicious of you and that might comprimise the mission. Head to the apartments to your right, I have a room with perfect coverage of the heliport.

- Ling"

I put away my phone and keep an eye on Darren, seeing how he'll react.

Darren's phone began to buzz and he pulled it out, reading the message.

He stared at it for a moment, than walked over to the apartments nearby.

I keep my eye on Darren as he made his way to the apartment, I send him another text.

"Go inside the large yellow apartment, 4th floor. Knock on the 3rd door left of the stairs. Pass-phrase is 'Flash' Counter sign is 'Thunder'

I leave from the window and sit back on my lounge, looking at my laptop screen.

Character: Calculative in times of profession. Though, ill’ tempered and hot headed. She barely talks to people, making her self more mysterious. Finds herself hard to trust anyone. Best to work under pressure.

After Mira lazily listened to Ling, while rubbing her eyes; sleepy. She walked out. Yes, she was a bit sleepy, due to sleeping while she could on a five star hotel where she temporarily booked a room for herself. Mira was a bit late due to trying to get the sleepiness off of her, but once she arrived around the airbase. She couldn't help but hide herself behind a bush and expected someone to direct her to Darren.

Once at the bar, he went straight to the meeting room. Everyone going on the mission was accounted for and concluded the final briefing before the actual operation began with a few words from Ling. After that, Markus went and headed towards the apartment Ling went to, but texted Ling whether or not he can join him in the apartment, since he is support for Team 2. After checking out the map, Markus felt that he had to make sure, otherwise he'd have to make a quick change of plans in the location he'd have to do overwatch. He walked his way towards the apartment while waiting for a reply

I shortly recieved a text from Markus, a request to share rooms for sniper support. He supports sniper team two and, while my room does have perfect coverage, the two teams are going in different directions also accountong that it'll make it easier for the police to find us if all sniper fire is coming from the same room. I rub my temples as I thought out how to write the reply before I started typing.

"I'm afraid that, due to certain circumstances and factors, it'd be wise if we were in seperate rooms or, if possible, seperate buildings on opposite sides of the heliport. I suggest you find a room at the hotel on Avoca St. It's got good coverage to the back and the rent isn't that expensive.

I press to send and as the mail went, it occurred to me that if I was getting Darren to come over until the mission started, I might as well have Mira come as well since they were Team 1 who I'd be covering. I search through the contacts and find Mira. I type up a message to her.

"Mission will commence at 1930 hours, Darren is waiting with me at my sniper position. Location is on Baren St. Apartment 12 on the 4th floor, 3rd room to the left. Knock on the door, Pass-phrase is Flash and Counter-sign is Thunder

I send the text and sigh, resting my head back onto the wall, I don't usually text that much and I don't really like these keypads, I prefer a keyboard if I need to type. I quietly sit on my lounge, enjoying the silence before the storm.

I had finally made my way to the rendezvous point for the team I was on, after taking every single back alley and side street... Not that that mattered, but I ended up losing the cat tail I had just bought, along the way. There went two hundred dollars. That stuff was expensive, now that there were tight restrictions on everything.

Getting out of my thoughts, I see only Lex there at the rendezvous point when I get there.

"Hello Lex! Are we the only ones here for now, nya~?", I say as I re-adjust the Denel on my shoulder.

Mira had no thoughts about replying to that message after she read it on her phone. She sneakily but slowly walked her way to the hotel, seeing that she had some time before the operation, she didn't feel the need to rush.

Mira then walked her way to the 12th apartment on the 4th floor snd stood before the aforementioned room, then did exactly she was supposed to; knock on the door and saying, "Flash."

I hear a knock, I assume its Darren but am surprised when I hear a woman's voice call out the Pass-phrase. I realize that it's Mira but wonder what happened to Darren since he should have gotten here by now, probably Mira was closer when I sent the text. I shake my head out of my train of thought and respond.

"Thunder"

I unlock the door, cautiously keeping my other hand close to my Type 17. I open the door and after a quick scan of Mira, drop from my stance, I clear my throat and with a clear voice say "Come in" I take a glance past her to see if Darren caught up but it didn't seem so, I step a bit to the side to give Mira way.

Mira gave a sigh after hearing the counter-sign. After which she made her entry to the hotel room, after which she looked around.
