I didn't know exactly where we were going, but I just followed right behind on Lex's heels, speeding our way through the air base to our designation.

Lex and Eden arrived at the door of one of the buildings. Lex checked his iPhone's GPS and found that his current location is near the barracks. He made a gesture to be silent and crept slowly towards the window to check the inside. After confirming there was no one in the Barracks, he opened the door slowly so as to not make any sound.

He took out his handgun and slung his rifle over his shoulders. Proceeding into the barracks in as slowly as possible. He gestured at Eden to follow him. He then proceed towards the door to the other side. Looking over at the window to confirm any presence. Seeing no one, Lex went out and proceeded towards a bigger building.

"Thanks, Mira." replied Darren, watching as Mira climbed down the ladder. He followed suit, jumping down after the last few rungs and nearly spraining his ankle.

He looked down the dark sewer tunnel and put on his night vision goggles, looking at Mira. "Well, I guess it's straight down the tunnel from here. Are you ready?"

"I'm ALWAYS ready, now let's go!" Mira seemed a bit excited. She ran before Darren, to the direction she was supposed to take after wearing her night visions' goggles on.

I keep my eyes on the sewer hole, they still haven't infiltrated yet. "What's taking them?" I ask myself as I turn my scope over, the new patrols have already started leaving the barracks. I curse under my breath, I was hoping the team could have infiltrated while they were still role-calling. I keep my eye on the sewer entrance and any patrols that pass.

As time progressed, Markus kept surveying the area to make sure Lex and Eden were completing their job without any obstacles. Surprisingly, there wasn't that many patrols around. It was like the base was near-empty. And such a sign might mean that the enemy may know our intentions are hiding to ambush Team 2, or they are gathered somewhere else... Remembering that the bigger building might be more secure, he assumed that most of the enemy would be there. He then saw Lex and Eden heading towards there. Markus quickly scanned the openings and outside of the entire building from his angle to make sure Team 2 was safe. It was crawling with lots of patrols inside.

Not taking the risk of alerting anyone inside, he sent a text to Lex and Eden that there are a lot of enemy patrols in the bigger building they are heading, some which he could not get a good shot at since they moved. Once he sent the text, he went back to seeing if anything new progressed with the patrol shifting around the building, waiting for a good moment to shoot.

The Honeywell T-Hawk MAV is an interesting little piece of technology. It has all the equipment normally mounted on a GlobalHawk UAV, but in a smaller and portable package. Plus, it can hover in a single place and does not require as much training to operate. Looking over the shoulder of the operator, Commander Adolf Friedman could make out the light glow of both US Government forces and the Freedom "insurgents". Tapping the operator on the shoulder, the operator look up gave a nod, slowly zooming the ISR camera in.

Smiling to himself, he walked away and headed towards his quarters, knowing that he would have a cleaned-up recording of it on his desk the next day.

As Lex and Eden reached the security building, he felt his phone vibrating. Lex took out his phone and checked the message by Markus; Understanding that going through the door would mean instant death.

Lex signalled Eden to follow him as he made way towards the back of the building. There was ladder reaching to the fire exit on the second floor of the building. Both Lex and Eden go up the ladder slowly and silently and reached the emergency exit successfully. Then, Lex took out his phone to message Markus.

"What's the situation inside the building? Give me a full report and tell me if it's safe over the door."

Markus got the message quickly, and replied, "Well, looks like a lot of them are inside here. Mostly in the upper floors, maybe even the first floor. And the timings on each patrol has been changing a bit too much in the past few minutes, maybe due to the shift change. From where your at, i think give the patrol 34 seconds to pass so you can sneak into the second floor. If the shift changing is done, then that patrol should be gone for at least a minute. so wait 34 seconds, then sneak within in a minute. That, or if you got another way to get in, i'm all ears."

"They still haven't entered yet. . ." I mutter under my breath as I eye through my scope the manhole that Team 1 is meant to be entering in from, luckily, there aren't any partols nearby so they'll be clear whenever but if they take any longer they'll stall the operation and we won't make it before dawn.

I send a message to Mira and Darren,

"Get a move on, Team 2 have already started their objective. You're clear around the manhole entrance but I can't guarantee that it'll stay like that forever. Hurry it up.

- Ling"

I put away my phone and keep an eye through my scope.

A knock on his door woke Commander Friedman up.

"Enter." Friendman said.

"Sir." the figure who entered paused, giving his commander a moment to get his bearings, then he continued "At 1030 hours sir the Security Council will announce Operation Ride With The Valkyries, would you want to review everything before then?

Looking at his wristwatch, he could see that it was only 7:55 PM.

"Good, I've only been asleep for 36 minutes" he mumbled to himself.

"Sir?" asked the shadowed figure.

"Ah, it was nothing."

Having noticed how dark his surroundings was, he realized that the lights must have turned off automatically once his room sensors noticed his lower heart rate.

"Turn on the lights will you Ponce" said Friendman while massaging his temples "and get me a glass and a bottle of whiskey." he continued.

"Right away, sir."

Ponce left the room, and a minute came back with a glass with ice and a bottle of.. whiskey. He put it neatly on the commander's desk.

"I said whiskey, not vodka." Friedman said while giving Ponce an annoyed look.

"All out apparently, sir." his adjundant replied.

Shrugging, Friedman took the bottle and poured himself a shot. He drank it immediatly and felt his headache lift slightly.

"Now, about the things that you needed reviewing?"

I seriouly think that my grammar is terrible, and that I look like a complete amateur compared to you guys.

"C'mon, let's go!" Mira alerted Darren, as she ran towards her destination, she finally found the ladder to the building they needed to infiltrate.

She got up the ladder, slowly moved the manhole to see if the coast was clear.

The heliport was a large piece of open land surrounded by wire fencing, guard towers at each corner with two entrances; the main and back entrance, these entrances were mainly boomgates on the road entering the heliport with a guard post. At the center was the headquarters, a large square building that was 4 stories high and was the most heavily guarded, holding all the high ranked officers. To the east was the main barracks, a flat 1 story building that was shaped almost like a T, having an eastern and western wing and the main mess hall in the middle.

North was the communications building, a 2 story rectangle with an array of satelite dishes on its roof. A little eastwards of it was the Motor pool, a line up of sheds holding all sorts of land vehicles the county police had, just by the main entrance, holding ordinary squad cars to armoured transports. Going further down south-east is a large airstrip that takes up about a fifth of the entire land, lined on the sides are hangars containing all sorts of aerial vehicles with a few black hawks lined up the front for quick response.

Patrols consisting of single officers, clad in black and wielding MP5 sub-machine guns, walk around the builings, flashlights lighting up their path and revealing whatever is in the shadows, several patrols around the fences have police dogs accompanying them, sniffing out any intruder in their area. The dark night makes it easy to sneak through the heliport, as long as you don't run into any lights.

I spot Mira from my scope and sigh in relief after confirming that they've infiltrated in. I send her a text,

"The area around you is clear, head to your right towards a large strip of open land and be careful of any patrols on the way, the helicoptors are located in the last three hangars and there is one black hawk sitting in front of each one. I'm not sure how many are inside each hangar but you should have enough explosives.

Watch your corners and keep close to the walls and the floor to minimalize your silhouettes. Also be careful of any guard dogs who might sniff you out.

I take a scan of her position to the airstrip, keeping close eyes on the patrols.

As Lex read Markus' text, he thought of another way to go in. Lex scan his surroundings and found a ladder leading up to the roof, possibly with a ventilation duct.

He signalled Eden to stay there while he went up the ladder. As Lex reached the roof, he saw a ventilation duct. He signalled to Eden to follow him then went on to remove the duct cover.

As he went in, he messaged to Markus about his current position.

"Proceeding to enter through the ventilation duct. Keep your eyes out for any possible enemies."

Darren watched as Mira poked her head out of the hole, following suit as she climbed out stealthily. As he climbed up the ladder, he whispered to her, "Wait, how are we supposed to avoid being sniffed out by the guard dogs..."

"An air duct? Really? Man, that's going to be really cramped.", I said as I follow behind Lex.

Sure enough, I got stuck, somehow, as we were traveling through the ducts.

"...mm... shit. Lex... Lex! I'm stuck!", I try to say as softly, but loudly as I can so Lex can hear me, but no one else.

"You damn cow....."
Lex grumbles as he pulled Eden out. They moved deeper into the ducts and Lex scanned the opening of the duct right under him. Noticing the guards have left, he removed the cover and gets out of the duct. He readies his rifle and scan his surroundings; No guard for now. He signals for Eden to come out of the duct.

"Call me a damn cow will you.", I mutter to myself after Lex helped me get unstuck.

As I jump out of the ducts, I silently punch Lex in the shoulder... as hard as I could. Which, I admit, isn't very hard. "I'll follow you, Lex. You know where the stuff is that I need to take out.", I whisper to Lex.

I send a text to both team leaders.

"Be careful of the guard dogs, if you get anywhere near them, they'll sniff you out. Try to keep moving and keep as far away as possible from the perimeter fencing where the dog patrols are. If a dog does start to catch on to you, I'll take out the patrol before more people notice."

Now I pay more attention around the area I last saw Mira, keeping an eye on nearby partols and the dog patrols by the wire, the safety is off.
