Toaru Kagaku no Railgun (Role-Play)

Ladies and Gentlemen, potential role-players and viewers, I welcome you all to my next Role-Play (RP), this time I got a request to make an RP, so I thought, why not? This time around, I've decided to make an RP that is centered around the world of Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, I linked season 2 because whatever takes place in this RP, is going to take place after all the other Railgun arcs, I wouldn't force anyone to watch the anime to join this RP, but I'd recommend them to watch an episode or two of the anime show in order to get a general gist of things. The main appeal is to create an esper Player Character (PC), make an ability for said character, and play it out, and hence enjoy, of course, character making is part of the enjoyment.


(Note:: There are various wiki links of Toaru Kagaku no Railgun given for references and information (mostly, to help players to gather ideas). However, the wiki has spoilers of the anime/manga series and the light novels of Toaru Majutsu/Kagaku no Index/Railgun. So when you browse the wiki pages, please be warned of spoilers.)


Rules:

• If you're new to RP'ing, give the old RP guide a read, if you're too lazy to bother, at least check out the munch section.

• No spamming. Please don't post a question or two here, send me a Private Message (PM). Only post your character's profile and or RP posts after the RP starts (there will be an opening post). Please use OOC to speak, comment or ask about something while not in-character.

• Keep all posts under the Third Person Writing format, the reason is that we'll be doing joint posts with multiple users quite often. This is an unwritten rule but common sense is essential, imagine yourself in your PC's shoes with both the personality and the background in mind, and play out your PC properly, I'll be supervising joint posts sometimes, but I'm not going to be *always* around.

• Keep your posts clean! Make sure your English is as best as possible, and yes, we're talking about grammar, punctuation, etc. English not being your first language is, well, a poor excuse, and just shows that you're too lazy to put in some efforts in writing, remember, RP'ing has a positive effect on your writing skills, at least that's how I like to think about it. With that said, while you're writing RP posts: you're not allowed to control important NPCs without permission, control of unimportant NPCs should be kept minimal.

• Make sure you literally have time to post everyday, otherwise please don't bother joining, I personally want active players who come online everyday only. Even 15-20 minutes per day is good enough, if you have enough time to make a post or make additions to a joint posting, I'll be content with it. We'll follow PDT (Pacific Time). So make sure you're able to post at least once, especially when the RP is active and not dying, anyway.

Name: Shokuhou Misaki. Also known as: The Queen of Tokiwadai, Mental Out, Number 5.


Basic information:


Gender: Female

Age: 14.

Appearance:

Personality: Coupled with her cute face, Misaki exudes a seemingly playful and childish personality, as seen with her interaction with Mikoto. This is backed up the fact that she has a taste for sweets, and likes to do silly and cutesy poses.

However, with this facade belies a much more cunning nature, as she demonstrates her power to intimidate Mikoto by controlling the entire student body that was currently inside the Tokiwadai Middle School library; despite this ruthless exterior, she is not necessarily a bad person as she had greatly valued her friendship with the now deceased Dolly.

Misaki has a tendency to never show herself in public, instead, by using her followers, or mind-controlling ability, people to act as her representatives when talking with individuals. It is apparent that she has a strong dislike for public appearances, and this is why whenever her school needs a "face" to promote certain public events, she and her faction will simply stand aside and let Mikoto hog all of the attention and responsibilities. She seems to prefer working alone, even if it is with a Level 5 like Misaka Mikoto.

Misaki is also terrible at athletics, and a mere jog, according to Mikoto, will quickly tire her. Unlike most girls in School Garden, she has described herself as someone who is not a pure girl who knows nothing of the world, after describing that girls from School Garden are either those who go out or those who stay in. She can be described as being similar to Laura Stuart because of her frivolous outward personality that hides a layer of cunning scheming, though much more downplayed.

She uses the word ~ability or ~power as a suffix to certain words, like "relationship ability" or "brainwashing power".

Affiliation: The Clique of the Queen of Tokiwadai (Leader).

Occupation: Student, Tokiwadai Middle School.

Background: Shokuhou Misaki is known as the "The Queen". This refers to her having the largest faction and influence within Tokiwadai Middle School due to her ability.

Not much is known about her past, or about her family. Like all Level 5s, there are research facilities dedicated to her. In the past she was part of a project to train her powers, being able to use her powers to brainwash people like Makuwa (a random scientist) to think melons are apples. Part of this project was the development of Exterior, which is apparently a technology to significantly increase her reach of her powers and how many people she can control at a time. During the project, she was asked to brainwash a girl that is known as Dolly, which the scientist required for data, into thinking she is her friend that left her after discovering the machines implanted on Dolly's person.

Misaki somehow acquiesces and begins pretending as Dolly's friend. This ultimately ends in tragedy when it is revealed that Dolly's condition is steadily deteriorating even with Academy City's powerful medical technology, and by the time the two have become close Dolly falls ill and dies shortly after -- supposedly a foregone conclusion and necessary to the Exterior project. A crestfallen Misaki soon turns against the facility and its researchers, exerting her influence and control over everybody involved in the project. She learns that the Clone Dolly Workshop is related to the Exterior project, and also that the scientists are to dispose of her once Exterior is completed. By the time she enters Tokiwadai Middle School, Misaki has effectively hidden Exterior and its capabilities completely.

Esper Ability:

Name of the Ability: Mental Out (A.K.A: psychological control).

Type of Ability: Psychometry.

Active or Passive?: Active.

Esper's Ability: A very powerful ability involving the human mind which includes reading other people's memories, telepathy, changing a person's personality by means of brainwashing, memory elimination, amplification of will, institution of illusions, and transplantation of emotions.

Moreover, she can prevent the use of powers and movement of other people using a remote. Also, unique to the power is that some of the people that have been tampered and controlled by Shokuhou display star markings (Misaki's eyes have stars on them) on one or both their eyes. She can take-over a person and use his or her body to interact with other people in long distance. She has the ability to control up to ten people at once using her full power. She can also control large number of people but she can only give them simple commands. Using her powers, she once was able to give preset commands to each student of all five schools in the School Garden, and is able to switch between them constantly if she needs to.

Her powers apparently have so many applications that she does not have a stable control of it unless she creates "boundaries" for herself. Repeatedly, Misaki uses a remote to use her powers. Misaki's powers has too high a degree of freedom, so she uses a remote to provide a basis to control her powers. She does not have a single remote. She uses different remotes depending on what type of power she wishes to use. The bag she carries around is filled with many different remotes. It is possible for her to use her powers without a remote, but it is very difficult, so she generally prefers not to. It is also apparent that she can use just about any type of a remote to use her powers through them, even a television or Wii remote.

Through the use of Exterior, she can increase her reach and the number of people she can control. In the first instance the audience sees her use it, she forces kilometers wide of drivers to move out of the way in order for their car to drive through. She still requires the usage of a remote controller to do this however.

Misaki cannot control animals or anything that is not human.

Name: Kihara Natsu. Also known as: Time Flare, The Actress with a Burning Passion, The Mistress of Fire, Number 8.


Basic Information


Gender: Female.

Age: 16

Appearance:

Personality: With her natural, charismatic smiling face, Natsu is well-known in her Highschool, as someone akin to a role model. She is a person who seems cool and collected, and seems to rarely give a cryptic smile.

Natsu has been in positions where she found herself leading students just because they felt the sense of leadership skills in her, at least that's what she thought, people just liked hanging around a person like her. Natsu acts like any other typical student who is popular, she'd give reactions that are expected of her, and it'd seem that she never had any troubles in her life, as she is from the long-lasting family of Kihara. Contrary to the facade that she shows in everyday life, Natsu has a darker interior in which she finds herself having conflicting feelings of hatred towards her life. On one side, she's glad that she's born into the Kihara family, a lot of things are easier to get, dissatisfaction in her quality of life just had no way of increasing, but then on the other side, she also has a dream she wants to pursue, which her grandfather denied her liberty to chase after, this made her wish that she were born in a much more normal family.

Contrary to the act she puts up publicly, Natsu has a tendency to actually be a bully and at the same time, she loves to manipulate others through words alone; she does this just to relieve herself of her stress. A true mastermind at her core. Cute, nice, but stupid and delusional girls? She'd love to prey on them emotionally via verbal means alone, it'd be enough in usual cases. She also has the habit of making someone else torture another person and watch them from the side-lines as she'd smile with a face of utter ecstasy. However, this doesn't exactly imply that she is fully a corrupt person, she still cares for what little amount of 'true' friends that she has, but she doesn't openly show this care for said friends, she is a person who likes to work from the shadows, after all.

At the end of the day, the conflicting feelings regarding her view on her life howls at each other internally, and she feels that with each coming days, she is going to etch more and more towards a point of insanity.

Occupation: Highschool student (A Certain Highschool)

Affiliation: Kihara Family. (Also, ex-leader of 'A certain secret clique comprised of bullies'.)

Background: Kihara Natsu is a member of the Kihara family. Along with her older sister, Therestina, she was known as one whose intelligence would lead science to higher levels in the future; essentially dumping pressure straight to her shoulders. Therestina seemed to be someone who loved being praised, through anything that's related to science, but Natsu on the other hand didn't particularly care, she was the more cool and collected type. She was taught science, and she received knowledge to the level that would even rival that of a scientist's - as any Kihara family member would be, but she still couldn't feel any passion for aspiring to be one; unlike Therestina, who likely took a greater interest in the professions involving science, apparently ever since she was young. But as Natsu grew up, she became much more fond of becoming an Actress than anything. This is because she had it in her to actually get bored of her studies, and look for something amusing through the television, unlike most children, she wasn't allowed to play around with other children, so she was almost always alone, except that maids were kept around, but they were nothing more boring than anything to her.

However, she was denied of her dreams by her grandfather rather casually as if it was natural, who is the famous scientist known as Kihara Gensei, who coldly told her with a smile that she should be aiming to be a professor, or something along the lines of that. It seemed like while he seemed to be disinterested towards Natsu, and showed higher interest on his other granddaughter, Therestina, he had actually taken an interest in Natsu as well, albeit without her notice.

It was later found out that through some complicated means, Natsu was be a likely candidate for level 5, so while he feigned disinterest and care for Natsu, he had actually been keeping a keen eye on her from the shadows, and had been preparing to lead her to the road to which she'd be training her powers.

Natsu's last year in middle school when she was 14, she was once mysteriously delivered a video into her room at home, upon curiosity, she played it through a laptop, and watched the moment her grandfather used his granddaughter, Therestina to create the Ability Body Crystal. What surfaced in her head other than contorted look of shock was a sadistic smile. She soon thought that she had inherited at least one third of her grandfather's appalling evilness. Soon her grandfather revealed to her with a smile that he had taken a great interest to her, and that she has potential to reach level 5. Natsu answered with a smile and had decided to go along with it. She was more bored than anything with her life, she struck a condition that she'd be allowed to pursue her dream, and her grandfather, too, answered with his cryptic smile.

Natsu then started to live in a very ordinary dormitory in her first year on highschool. It lacked all the flavors that a wealthy family's lady would want, but she took it as something new to life, and she somehow found it more enjoyable that way. Her highschool life kicked up a notch when she discovered her love of preying and bullying certain girls out of boredom and to relive herself. At the same time, she had started to curse herself for finding her life too easy, or so she felt, she resentment for Kihara family declined ever since she made the deal with Gensei, but it all returned when there had been numerous stares of disappointment from her relatives and other members of the family, she had still wished that she was better off being born on a more normal family.

But when she actually started trying to reach level 5, that's when the reality hit Natsu, that it's not just fun and game, and it wasn't just trying to reach level 5 that was taxing, it was also the acting training school that added to her tally of frustrations that she kept under her face. No matter how far she pushed herself, getting even an inch closer to level 5 seemed like an impossibility. After about an year, in the 2nd year of highschool, she finally breached the gate to level 5, through Gensei's intervention in the many experiments conducted by the institutes devoted to her. It has also been found out later that, due to her growth of power, it tends to overload when she is in grief due to emotional stress, and at the same time, her AIM is rapidly emitted from her body, and this AIM helps her in causing huge explosions. After learning to get a good grasp around emitting AIM heavily, she reached level 5, and she always felt ironic how she reached that level in that manner. The way her power worked seemed like a pain to her at first, but she soon realized just how dangerous and powerful it became.

After reaching level 5, there had been a few announcements regarding her feat and was nicknamed Time Flare, Natsu felt that her life may soon return to being bland all over, but that feeling was overthrown when she realized that she might just have a talent for acting after all (her teachers in acting school never praised her, weirdly enough), after passing a certain audition, and appearing in a few commercials, but that wasn't enough to appease her ambitions. It is now apparent that she even got a chance to play the role of a cruel antagonist on a certain drama show. Natsu felt that with her being a level 5, and an actress at the same time, her popularity may be on the rise.

Esper Ability:



Name of the Ability: Time Flare.

Type of ability: Pyrokinesis.

Active or Passive?: Both.

Esper's Ability: A very strong ability that allows Natsu to ignite fire upon her very touch, and wield it. The very principle is the one which is same for any pyrokinetic user; it lies in raising the motion of a target's molecules through Telekinesis in order to ignite it. In cases where a fire is started when there is no combustible materials, not just heating power but also a realization factor might be involved, but her main application of her power which no one else perform was to cause her body to do something like self-destruction, except that she herself was immune to fire, as fire was comparable to water, to her, and thus she had the ability to cause explosions and come out unharmed, however, she cloths or anything would be burned out. Which is why the facilities devoted to her went through the trouble to making almost everything she wears or carries around to be fire-proof. Or else she'd wind up naked too often, she also felt embarrassed to use her powers before that, too.

Natsu's power quite an array of applications, this involves from simply hurling homing flames, create fire balls, then scatter them and throw them at the enemy, or even creating flames of fire. Due to her fire-proof school uniform and other cloths she wears now specifically fire-proof for her; she has a new daunting skill which involves putting herself on fire, which sometimes works as somewhat like an armor. Natsu had also developed another application of her ability to ignite flames, it is to create flames beneath her legs to cause something akin to an fiery high-jump, she avoids constantly keep releasing fire to have her boots work like some type of small-scale rockets due to the amount of concentration required soon becomes taxing, fighting while doing this would be even more troublesome, but it is possible, she uses this skill to usually jump higher and move around faster, and to also have a safer landing after jumping too high.

There had also been moments in the experiments when Natsu's power went berserk triggered through drugs, apparently these side-effects from the drugs had greater effects due to the emotional grief she carried in her mind. That's when the larger versions of her explosions were discovered, because due to her powers going uncontrolled, powers that lay dormant awoke. Through the use of Ability Body Crystal (usually kept around her neck since she got to level 5), Natsu's power had been amplified, which is what allowed her reach level 5 in the first place. However, every time she depends on the crystal, she weakens really fast. It is apparent that calculations used for using the crystal itself, and the aftermath pressure her body feels, combines in a side-effect that makes her weak after the use of the crystal.

It has been known that ever since Natsu reached level 5, she had learned that she could treat her AIM dispersion field as something combustible, making it possible for Natsu to have her Time Flare ability cause even greater destruction. There hasn't been any measurement of how big the explosions can be, but it was enough to incinerate an institution in a past experiment.

Name: Mikoto Misaka. Also known as: Railgun, Ace of Tokiwadai, Electric Princess, Strongest Electromaster, Number three.


Basic information:


Gender: Female.

Age: 14

Appearance:

Personality: To most people, she is considered a 'proper lady' (ojou-sama), but in reality, she's short-tempered, prideful, and has an improper attitude with some slight tomboyish tendencies and insecurities, a fact few people know of. Despite this, she is generally friendly and easygoing, Saten Ruiko (one of her few friends) and Uiharu Kazari (a friend from Judgement) has once commented on how they are shocked to find that compared to other Level 5's, she doesn't look down on lower-level espers at all. This is probably because she was originally a level 1 esper and became a level 5 esper through very hard work.

Often times she shows an incredibly childish, selfish, competitive side and even slight tsundere (herpderp) tendencies along with confused affections when taunted by her rival, Touma. To add to this, childishness, she secretly likes cute things, especially Gekota (a popular frog mascot), and is easily embarrassed. most specifically, Gekota and Kirugumar merchandise. She also likes frog merchandise only if it features Gekota. When she realizes that a stuffed animal another person is carrying is just a regular frog, she immediately loses all of her interest in the stuffed animal.

She has a keen sense of justice, demonstrated by her frequent involvement in the crime-fighting body, Judgment , and her resolve is unshakable as shown when she was willing to lose in a fight against Accelerator in the past.

Furthermore, according to Kuroko, Mikoto naturally acts as a leader, and becomes the center of attention by everyone, yet she cannot mingle with those people regardless of being the center. She states that Mikoto is at the top and defeats her enemies, but she cannot avoid making more enemies at the same time. Moreover, she states that the most important to Mikoto is someone she can feel on the same level as her.

Occupation: Student. (Tokiwadai Middle School)

Affiliation: None.

Background: Mikoto is the daughter of Misaka Tabigake and Misaka Misuzu. She entered Academy City at an early age, and distinguished herself as a child prodigy, initially starting out as a Level 1 and climbing her way up to a Level 5 esper. This made her a perfect candidate for the Sisters Project, which held the intent of cloning her for military use. Mikoto willingly gave a DNA sample to the researchers of the project thinking that it would help people who didn't have the ability to control their muscles properly.

She later enrolls at Tokiwadai Middle School. In her first year, she lost a 10,000 yen bill due to a certain vending machine, probably explaining her propensity of kicking it. In one fateful event, she saved her future friend Shirai Kuroko from a robber by using her 'Railgun' ability. Kuroko eventually enrolled at Tokiwadai as well and gained great affection for Mikoto. Mikoto later became roommates with Kuroko in Room 208 - despite Kuroko being her junior - after Kuroko 'legally' removes Mikoto's previous roommate who was supposedly ill-natured towards Mikoto. Being a Level 5 esper as well as a student with consistently high grades, Mikoto is known as Tokiwadai's Ace.

Though she doesn't admit it, her mother pointed out that Mikoto is bad with house work.

Mikoto has been depicted as been quite smart as she was stated to be the 8th ranked student in Tokiwadai, a school that is meant to create world leading talents and thus deals with a very advanced curriculum. Furthermore she as been shown to easily solve problems meant for Kamijou Touma who courses a school rank higher than her, though it should be noted that Kamijou's school doesn't pursue the same Academic excellence that Tokiwadai does.

It was showed that Mikoto had intended to take the trial enrollment into Touma's school during the Ichihanaran Festival , which further showed how strong her feelings for Touma is. However she immediately got interfered during the progress by her rival in reputation in Tokiwadai Middle School, Shokuhou Misaki.

Mikoto's known closest friends are Uiharu Kazari, Saten Ruiko, and Shirai Kuroko.

Name of the Ability: Railgun.

Type of Ability: Electromaster

Active or Passive?: Both.

Esper's Ability: Mikoto's power is known as the Railgun. She chose the ability name herself, naming it after her famous finishing move. Her ability belongs to a type of power users called Electromaster: those who can generate and manipulate electricity.

Mikoto is the most powerful Electromaster in Academy City. Her maximum output is known to be 1 billion volts.

- Railgun: Mikoto can fire metal objects at three times the speed of sound by forming parallel currents on both sides of her arm with her electricity. Her railgun has a muzzle velocity of 1030 m/s (2307.2 mph), and can be fired at a rate of 8 shots per minute. She has hinted she can fire multiple coins at once creating a Rail-Shotgun, however this has never been seen. She primarily uses arcade coins as her projectiles for portability, limiting her normal range to 50 meters.

- Lightning Attack Spear: Mikoto has the ability to generate a "spear of lightning" originating from her forehead.

- Powerful Electromagnetic Pulse: Mikoto has the ability to create magnetic pulses that target the organs

- Lightning Strike: Mikoto can call down real lightning using her ability regardless of season. This attack is known to be powerful enough to cause a city-wide blackout.

- Electromagnetism: Mikoto can use electromagnetism to attract and repel metallic materials and use it to her advantage. Examples include creating a make-shift shield out of scrap metal, walking on walls and ceilings, as well as attracting iron particles in the ground around her.

- Whip Sword: Using her magnetic powers, Mikoto can form a "whip sword" by gathering iron sand, manipulating it into a sword that she can lengthen into a whip at will. By making the sand particles of the blade vibrate, she can dramatically increase the weapon's cutting power into something resembling that of a chainsaw.

- Cracking/Hacking: Using her electric powers she can hack any electronic device and bypass normal electronic security measures with ease. She can decode the electronic flow of information, like steal the information from a credit card's magnetic strip, as well as directly process a computer's information in binary. This skill also enables her to perform acts such as erasing herself from security footage in real time or taking control of Academy City's roving security robots. Furthermore, it is revealed in Volume 7 of New Testament that she could even use her power to take control of cars.

- Unique Sensory Perception of Electric-type Espers: As an electromaster, Mikoto is of course able to sense electric, magnetic, and electromagnetic phenomena. She is, however, able to follow the electric and magnetic field lines using her eyes, something that normal electromasters are unable to do with their limited power. She takes this ability one step further by analyzing the reflections of the electromagnetic waves she generates, giving her no blind spots.

- Flight: Using formulas similar to those she use for her Iron Sand sword, Mikoto can fly if she is surrounded by a large amount of atomized water vapor. She manipulated the water vapor forming it into wings using the static electricity from interactions between particles. By using her electric power to induce electrolysis on a large body of water such as the ocean, she can obtain enough hydrogen and oxygen to use as fuel.

- Defense Against Telepathic Manipulation: Mikoto has been shown to be immune to the effects of telepathic manipulation due to the electromagnetic barrier created by her AIM dispersion field.

- Spatial Sensing: Mikoto can sense and release electromagnetic waves around her to enable her to see the image of the room three-dimensionally without the use of her sight.

Name: Shirai Kuroko.


Basic information:


Gender: Female.

Age: 13

Appearance:

Kuroko is a girl with auburn hair tied into two curly pigtails; the rest of her hair is left to hang as two rows of fringes divided in the middle. Her pigtails are tied in place by a red bow each.

As per ruling of both Academy City and Judgment, she wears the uniform of Tokiwadai Middle School and the Judgment armband.

On her thighs, she secures a pair of black straps where she stores the metal spikes used to secure criminals.

Personality: Kuroko can be described as a "girl living in the future". She is used to the world 30 years from now portrayed by Academy City and is thus ignorant to the customs that present-day Japan still practice, like the "love umbrella", which students usually use to link their names to the name of their crush, and the conventional technology outside Academy City.

Aside from being a girl with a modernistic outlook, she can also be blunt when giving her opinions, and this has caused her to be at odds with Uiharu once. She is equally blunt and honest when it comes to her sexuality, oblivious (or rather, uncaring) of the discomfort that her aggressive expression of lesbianism causes in others, especially Mikoto, the target of her affections. Whenever she and Misaka are together (despite being in public) she will run up to embrace Misaka and indulging herself on Misaka's body, despite knowing she will get shocked as a result of her actions. Her tendencies to get intimate with Misaka are often expressed to almost ridiculous lengths; for example, when the two are forced to clean a pool, Kuroko tries to trick Misaka into drinking an aphrodisiac.

Her desire can be aroused by anyone who even resembles Mikoto, even her beautiful young mother Misaka Misuzu. She even tried to steal some of Mikoto's underwear and even became aroused by the smell of Mikoto's bed. It is for this reason that Mikoto tried her best to keep the existence of her "sisters" a permanent secret from Kuroko.

Despite her overzealous attempts at gaining Mikoto's favor, her affections appear to be genuine; it has been shown on a few occasions that she is genuinely in love with Mikoto, even allowing herself to get severely hurt in order to help Mikoto. She is regarded as Mikoto's best friend.

Although usually laid-back and friendly, Kuroko portrays determination and confidence in her own abilities when she encounters enemies, even to those whom she knows is more powerful than herself. To her credit, she is an honorable girl who keeps her word, is kind to children, and shares with Mikoto the same ironclad sense of justice that makes neither of them ever back down in the face of adversity. According to a particular rumor concerning her and Mikoto: "There's this horrifying teleporter in Judgment who'll tear apart your body and soul if she catches you...and there's another that rules over even that teleporter's body and soul - the strongest Electromaster," although Kuroko had no knowledge of this rumor until a robber she took down told her about it.

Aside from her powers, Kuroko mainly relies on her Martial Arts abilities, which emphasizes throws and take-downs that compensate for her small size. Kuroko specifically focuses on drop kicks.

Background: Kuroko is a first grader from Tokiwadai Middle School. A year before she entered the prestigious school, Kuroko joined Judgment (a place which is something like a Morals Committee, who police the actions of students in the city), a special public committee group whose duty is to maintain peace and order in Academy City. The first major case she handled (along with Uiharu Kazari and Konori Mii) was the arrest of a bank robber who can use the esper ability Equal Speed. Despite her young age, she stood up to the much older esper and was beaten up in the process, although a particular bolt of lightning saved her from imminent danger.

Her most close friends are Uiharu Kazari (from Judgement) and Saten Ruiko (from Uiharu's school), and Kongou Mitsuko has a habit of showing spirits of rivalry towards her, but she tends to try to ignore her. She is in love with Misaka, whom she calls "Onee-sama" (big sister); she is on the constant lookout for a chance to get physically intimate with Misaka (getting called a pervert and electroshocked in the process), and tends to get jealous if someone else gets her attention; this unfortunately happens to Touma.

Name of Ability: Teleport.

Type of Ability: Teleport.

Esper's Ability: Teleport, such an ability allows her to teleport herself and anything in her possession a certain distance in the blink of an eye. In volume 8 it is stated that her powers do have limits, being able to transport a total weight of 130.7 kilograms, to a distance of 81.5 meters from herself. It was revealed in Volume 3 of the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun Manga that before she went to Tokiwadai Middle School, she could teleport objects and other people, but not herself. She was eventually able to teleport herself sometime after enrolling in Tokiwadai.

She is able to teleport objects inside designated targets, allowing her to "throw" the darts she carries on her thighs with perfect accuracy. One disadvantage of her power is that she has to concentrate on where she, the object(s), and/or person she holds will be teleported to, while working out the spacial co-ordinates of jumping between 3-dimensional and 11-dimensional space, so any disturbance in her concentration will render her powers useless,

Personality: Having a very strong sense of justice, he will help anyone who is in need even if it means putting his life on the line, and will not hesitate to challenge an opponent who is several times more powerful than himself. Because of his willingness to help others unconditionally, he has attracted the affections of many characters in the series, which a certain girl jokes about, stating that his life is like a dating sim where he is bound to unlock more paths to more girls.

Touma is the type that acts before he thinks. He can never just sit around upon seeing someone in a pinch and will go to great lengths to protect or help the person. This he does at great risk to himself, which typically results in him being hospitalized for several days after each confrontation. When fighting seriously against a particularly strong opponent, Touma would usually first declare that he'll "destroy that illusion" of theirs, before actually engaging.

It is evident that even when he is in a blank slate after losing his memories, Touma can still display such personality. Although lacking his memories, Touma does not appear to mope over the loss of them in particular, as the beliefs from his pre-blank state continue to motivate Touma onwards, allowing him to understand what he needs to do, even if he doesn't remember. However, after losing his memories, now seems to approach people with more caution, carefully choosing what emotion or mood to display when meeting someone he thinks he might know, lest they see through his ruse and exploit him in any way.


Occupation: Student (A Certain Highschool).

Affiliation: Originator of the Kamijou Faction (not an actual faction).

Background: Touma is the son of Kamijou Touya and Shiina who live outside of Academy City. During his childhood he was often seen as a jinx because of the misfortune that his right hand creates and he was called, "The God of Plague" by people around him. Once, a bankrupt and superstitious person blamed Touma for his own misfortunes and tried to stab him, resulting in a TV station hearing about the incident and trying to make a supernatural show based on Touma, as well as releasing images of him without his family's consent. Touma's father sent him to Academy City when Touma graduated from kindergarten as it was a place where many unique and gifted people lived free from superstition and Touma could be free from the kind of things he had experienced back home.

However, during his time in Academy City as a child, Touma wrote letters to his father, from there, he determined that even in the city of science people still treated Touma differently due to his lack of luck.

During his tenure in Academy City, Tsukuyomi Komoe recalls that he used to be a "naughty boy". It is also during this time that he discovers that his right hand can somehow dispel supernatural powers, specifically the psychic powers used by the students of Academy City.

The current high-school class Touma is treated as a precious person due to all their bad luck being attracted to him. Meaning, they get off lightly from things such as teachers' annoyance at the poor turnout of homework and the like. This is unlike how Touma's life was before he entered Academy City, and raises issues such as Imagine Breaker's power might have been sealed away sometime between him entering Academy City and the present day, seeing how his bad luck affects Touma alone instead of before when it also influenced the people around him.

However, Touma's classmates do resent Touma for one thing – his impossibly good luck at getting girls' attention. This is due to many girls sympathizing with Touma's bad luck, and has gotten to the point where Fukiyose Seiri -the only one who is critical of Touma's lazy attitude to life- is called the 'Girl of Steel Walls' and 'the Girl who is completely wary of Touma'. Many of Touma's classmates say, "Though Touma keeps saying he's unlucky, he has the best position," and joke about if nobody can stop Touma, humanity will end due to him taking all the girls. Surprisingly, Touma still hasn't gotten into a serious romantic relationship even with this kind of female support, possibly due to his friendship with Tsuchimikado Motoharu and Aogami, often joking of supporting Touma to build a harem that covers every type of fetish imaginable. Touma said he'd break Aogami and Motoharu's fantasies on this topic using his Imagine Breaker.

Due to Touma being a Level 0, he has to take even more make-up lessons than usual as he does not have the required academic achievements. Though by no means does this mean Touma is not intelligent; as in many occasions he has shown quick thinking in combat.

Effects of Ability: Touma's ability is Imagine Breaker , an ability which negates all supernatural powers, including the effects of magical, psychic, and divine powers (which may also include his good luck and God's blessing according to Index). Because of this, the people testing psychic abilities cannot detect or classify his abilities, as such Aleister Crowley considers him neither a psychic nor a magician but rather a normal person with a unique ability. Touma is the current holder of the Imagine Breaker for the power believes that there is meaning in Touma having it in his right hand, or in Fiamma's own words: "the right hand is only the right hand when it is growing from his right shoulder."

This power resides in the right hand, as such, when anything that has any relation to esper ability, magic or divine power, it'll be instantly negated.

Name: Accelerator. Also known as: The One Who Wields the Power of God, Number One, The Strongest Level 5.

Appearance:

Personality: Due to the potential of his ability, Accelerator has been targeted by assassins and researchers throughout his life. As a result, he believes only in power and trusts no one. While fighting, he invokes fear and has a sadistic tone. He willingly joins the SISTER experiment to gain a reputation as the most powerful and feared psychic so that no one would dare be foolish enough to challenge him and won't hesitate to kill any who get in his way. The Sisters' memories of his behavior during the experiment may suggest that he is, in a way, a pacifist; because his power won't disappear, the only way he sees an end to the fighting is to be so strong and sadistic that no one would dare to raise a finger against him. He even seems to attempt to frighten the Sisters out of fighting or otherwise encourage them to refuse their battles.

After meeting Last Order, he strives to protect her (although he states he does not like her company, he tolerates her). He saved her from Amai Ao's plot and from being pursued by the Hound Dogs.

Occupation: Student (Nagatenjouki Academy, by proxy)

Affiliation: None (not in this RP anyway).

Background: Much of his past is unknown, but Accelerator mentions that he once had a "normal name" which has yet to be revealed, and most likely never will, as Accelerator himself forgot it.

Ever since taking the Power Curriculum Program, and realizing his powers, Accelerator was sent to a "special class", most likely, the Special Ability Institute, and spent much of his childhood there until age nine, before being moved into another special class. Both of these had him as the only student. It can be presumed that this occurred before the incident involving the military.

Accelerator as a child couldn't fit in with the other children due to his powers, harming those that tried to get close to him. Around age ten, a particular incident with children escalated with Academy City being deployed against him, and he later "gave up", and was sent to a special class. This has made him something of a loner and distrustful towards other people. After some time, Accelerator was discovered by Kihara Amata, who trained him in how to control his powers and influenced him enough for Accelerator to adopt his personality. It can be assumed that the Dark May Project started after Accelerator acquired the cool personality he now has from Amata.

Esper Ability:



Name of the Ability: Accelerator.

Type of Ability: Vector Transformation.

Esper's Ability: Accelerator's name is named after his ability. It creates a thin field of AIM around him, which allows him to modify the vector values of anything he touches.

After certain events, his brain was damaged, and he had to rely on a choker-style electrode that connected him to the Misaka network. The brainwave network allowed him to use language, as well as making up for his lost ability to make calculations, although it is stated that it's less than half of what he once had. Furthermore the network enables Accelerator to reflect ultraviolet rays even when he isn't in esper mode. When using the network in esper mode, the battery of the electrode initially only lasts fifteen minutes, otherwise it'd last for 48 hours, after which it'd need to be charged.

He can change the vector values of anything by touch; for example, he kills a Sister clone by reversing the flow of blood inside her body after putting his finger inside her wound. Furthermore, this ability is automatic, so projectiles like bullets or explosives have no effect on him, as they will be redirected, even if he is unaware of their presence. He must consciously allow things like gravity and light to affect him. It is because of his ability that he has an albino appearance, as his "reflection" blocks all unnecessary ultraviolet radiation, thereby preventing the skin from manufacturing melanin, but all of this only works when he goes into esper mode for 15 minutes. However, if one can find their way "around" his redirection ability (as demonstrated by Touma and Kihara Amata), it is shown to be rather useless, marking Accelerator as a Glass Cannon due to having a strong ability but a somewhat weak body (Touma/Kihara managed to bring him down to his feet in only around 7-10 blows).

Personality: As a senior in Nagatenjouki Academy, Ayane is always kind and mature, she inherited this trait from her mother. She is also rarely clumsy and carefree, this comes from her father, however, that side of her's is rarely seen by her classmates in the Academy.

Ayane's details of her personal life is mostly known to only the scientists who worked to improve her powers, and her grandfather. She had been repeatedly pressured both physically and mentally, in order to make herself improve. In fear of losing her place to live, Ayane took it all up to try her best.

In reality, Ayane doesn't care about reaching level 5, which is what her grandfather desired her to achieve, she'd rather live a calm life, and is the type who'd help anyone out in any way she can. She doesn't want to lose her place at home only because she is somewhat afraid, because she feels that her grandfather would set things up in a way that she'd be not allowed in a dorm as she'd be forcibly kicked out of the Academy, and wouldn't be allowed to be enrolled, and she feels that the amount of money she has from taking part in experiments is rather minimal. This is actually not true because she never buys or checks out prices of anything herself and lets her grandfather take care of most of the expenses - a rare form of clumsiness. However, Ayane once said to herself that if she does get kicked out, then that's that, and she'd accept the fact and try to find another way to live a tranquil life.

Occupation: Student (Nagatenjouki Academy).

Affiliation: Judgement (Branch 169)

Background: Granddaughter of an old man who literally payed 50% of the money that are funds for many experiments in Academy City, because he claimed to be a supporter of the city, and he wanted Espers to be developed as much as possible.

There were lots of expectations from Ayane as she was somewhat known as a child prodigy.

Having been enrolled in Nagatenjouki Academy, and taking the Power Curriculum Program; Ayane's life has been full of harsh and painful moments where she had to cross over her limits in order to impress her grandfather, otherwise she'd lose her place at home; at least that's the threat grandfather gave. Her grandfather wanted her to be level 5, but that would most likely not happen, and so, she was blamed for not being born with enough talent, but she always refuted with "It's not like I could choose whether to be born with talent or not," even though she was called a child prodigy.

Even so, despite not being able to satisfy her grandfather, others thought that she was already a likely candidate, and that was apparently a big thing already. Ayane's grandfather soon stopped pressuring her, realizing it's futile.

Ayane's parents died in an accident, her grandfather reluctantly decided to take her in. Her Grandfather felt that she could be like Mikoto Misaka who achieved level 5 from level 1 through hard work, but that didn't happen.

It is speculated that she hasn't reached level 5 because she simply never desired such power for real.

While she deals with her everyday ordeal of hardship, she is also a member of Judgement, since Judgement acknowledges her reasons to be part of experiments more than doing small community works and patrols, Ayane usually does not partake the chores that the usual members would have to face. This ends up in some members scorning her because she is treated like a normal member despite not going through the annoying works.

However, when a case does come up, the office would usually give her a call, and Ayane would be more than happy to be of help.

Name of Ability: Tornado Hand.

Type of Ability: Aero Hand.

Esper Ability's: Her ability is Tornado hand, she is able to create a small tornado by touching an object, which is what her ability is named after.

Whenever she touches an object, powerful gusts of wind forms, reminiscent of something that Kongou Mitsuko can perform. However, in Ayane's case, the air soon transforms into a smaller-scale tornado while the target is being carried off by wind, and she can then control the wind and lead it to any direction, but only for around 5 seconds, then the tornado would dissipate.

It is also known that she can use her power by touching just about anything, even the ground beneath her, to create a tornado to either carry herself off the ground or to use it against her opponent(s).

Name: Minase Tamaki


Basic information:

Age: 8.

Appearance:

Personality: Tamaki is a child seemingly wanting to be more and more like her eldest sibling, Sana Minase. Tamaki is as a child - childish and carefree. She tries to portray the kind of 'nice and caring' personality that her eldest sister shows towards her and other her siblings, but fails almost every time, this makes her feel dejected and she sometimes comments to herself that it may just not be in her to act like that.

Tamaki soon developed a darker side in her heart; after the incident of the kidnapping case. She started viewing adults in a more different, and more darker way. She started almost hating them after seeing how the aftermath on Sana was. Although as a child, she couldn't fathom the feeling Sana went through, but she couldn't find herself trusting just about any strangers. However, someone as young as Tamaki can still be mislead or persuaded by just about anyone, only if they use the right words.

Later in her life, when Tamaki tried to be serious in the primary school at Academy City out of inspiration (trying to copy her sister), her facade wore off in almost every instance at which she dozed off into the realms of her imaginations, where she portrayed herself as a different person almost each and every time.

Occupation: Elementary Student. (An elementary school on School District 13)

Affiliation: Judgement (Branch 169)

Background: The youngest member of the Minase family, known to be relatively wealthy, which is known to be a big family around where they live.

In the earlier times of Tamaki's short life so far, she led a tranquil childhood, much like any other child - playing around with the kids of neighborhood, having fun, adoring her elder sister, and feeling inspired to be someone as kind and strong like her eldest sister. However, that tranquil life soon took a small turn towards the grim, which most children wouldn't face - much to her dismay, she was kidnapped along with her elder sister, and experienced some of the horrors of life only a child can go through, and this left an emotional scar in her heart.

Tamaki strove to look towards the bright; the positive side, after she realized that her sister didn't seemed to be traumatized, she too decided to walk the path to a different future along with her sister, to Academy City. In her new life in the Academy City, she was separated from her older sister, Sana Minase, as she lived in School District 13, where her school was located, this is where she tried repeatedly to take on the features of her elder sister's personality. The kind, caring and disciplined seriousness that her elder sister shows is the light of the role model to her, and this led her to the decision of joining Judgement.

The idea came to her after she was once helped by a Middle School student with Aubern hair tied in pigtails, after she got lost in the School Garden area. She had conversations to pass the dull moments. Upon asking, Tamaki learned that Judgement is just the thing she needs to get into, if she wanted to become stronger that is. Tamaki even asked details about how to join, and the Auburn-haired girl complied, though with a face that reeked of laziness.

But before that, Tamaki had to brace herself for one of the trials of her life, and that was the Power Curriculum Program, through which an ordinary human being goes through a process after which they end up becoming an esper, Tamaki had dreamed that she'd gain an ability "as cool as her sister's," and thought that she'd show it off once she got it. She repeatedly prayed for 'a cool ability' and once the procedure ended, she ended up with a semi-satisfying ability, at least according to her anyway. After a lot of thinking, "Seeing through things didn't seem that bad at all," that thought. Little did she know that her ability had special potential...

At the age of 8, Tamaki officially joins Judgement, after signing 9 contracts with a face that was devoid of interest for the papers of contracts. Obviously, just like any other members, she did go through the training that one would receive before joining Judgement.

Name of the ability: Clairvoyance.

Type of Ability: Clairvoyance

Esper's Ability's: Clairvoyance is Tamaki's ability, the ability to see-through objects, currently she can't see through objects that are too thick (including walls), and any and all objects made out of any type of metal. It is a common ability throughout the Academy City. The rarity in Tamaki's case is that her ability was graded level 2 even though she is a child whose ability was newborn at that time, the actual attributes showing that she is particularly leaning towards level 3, piquing interests of several researchers. It is speculated that her clairvoyance has the potential to be one of the strongest ones in the future. Thus, guaranteeing that researchers would most likely invest to help her improve.

The origin of the name is derived from the French clair, meaning "clear", and voyance, meaning "vision", in the real world, it is referred to as the ability to gain information about an object, person, location or physical event through means other than the known human senses. The term is used to refer to the transfer of information that is both contemporary to, and hidden from, the clairvoyant. Unlike telepathy, that gains information directly from an external source.

Name: Sadao Kimera

Gender: Male

Age: 15

Appearance: He is more muscular than in the picture, and is usually seen in a black hoodie hiding most of his face.



Personality: Confident and Intelligent. Sadao is a child error and a victim of the Dark May Project. But he was always a very fast learner and had a deep desire to be the best. After the experiments were stopped by a rampaging esper and he hid himself away in the shadows he studied and trained. Making money stealing from weak Skill-Out gangs he made his meager living.

The experiments made him a bit hard to deal with. Sometime lashing out from the slightest provocation. He finds it hard to trust anyone, and for good reason since so many of the victims from the DMP found themselves on some lab's table. This fear keeps his senses sharp, and him paranoid. Studies and martial arts training became therapeutic to him as it was something to take his mind off his difficult life.

Whatever life he could have had is gone now, and he knows it. Unlike other people who struggle to return to normal he accepts him fate. Dreams are for the young and despite his age he no longer considers himself part of that generation. He doesn't fear death and just sees it as part of the job description, but that does not mean he will throw his life away for nothing. He wants to live long enough to see just how strong he can become. Nothing will get in his way without consequence.

Though he seems hot-headed at times he thinks through his actions through very carefully. He knows that one slip up was all it took in his line of business. Even though he considers himself strong he knows that there will always be someone stronger. That gives him both a reason to continue his training and a reason to be cautious at all times.

Background: Sadao was orphaned and labeled a child error at the age of 6. Chosen by scientist for the Dark May Project he was declared missing. His personal reality was changed using Accelerator's cognitive patterns as a reference. After events that destroyed the lab and bankrupted the project he escaped like so many others, but he was lucky enough not to end up on the chopping block to be dissected. Still he continues to keep an eye out for scientist that would still take the chance to gain a new play thing.

Without a way to pay his tuition Sadao was forced to live a tough life on the streets. Dealing with Skill-Out gangs and other annoyances became an everyday occurrence, but one day he caught a break. A researcher who was interested in how far Sadao's powers could be pushed tracked him down. A subordinate of Kihara Gensei offers him a chance to gain more power, and some money on the side.He didn't trust this man in the least, but he would see if he could use him to further his own agenda.Taking a few jobs from Gensei he was hired to aid in exterminations of intruders in the city.

His first assignment that he accepted from Gensei was an assassination. Some idiots that had no business poking their nose around needed to be snuffed out. Sadao had never killed anyone before, but he was smart enough not to turn down the work. It was supposed to be a small group of Skill-Outs which was nothing he couldn't handle. Scheduling a fake deal he met up with the group in an old crumbling office building, and as he expected they weren't planning to pay. Vanishing into the shadows of the old building he singled out one person who he though stood out. Taking out a rotted floor from under him he separated him from the group.

Alone he could take the time he needed building up his head for his first kill. He would do it simple and crack their neck. At least that was the plan. As he placed a hand on their head they quickly grabbed him sending a shock into his nerves. Not strong enough to knock him out it was still enough to stun him for a moment. The man's legs were broken from the fall, and his range was limited to what he could touch. Scrambling around Sadao grabbed a pipe and brought it down on the man's skull with all his strength. The impact splattering Sadao with the confirmation of the man's death. At his age this should have scarred him, and maybe it did. Killing became a lot easier after that moment. The bloodied walls around the building testament to his first job well done.

After his first mission he has had a track record of success. Always completing jobs on time or often before his deadlines. If nothing the real world practice of his powers helped him get more used to them. Skill-Out gangs from before provided little challenge, and they were so predictable. With this new job the targets were harder, the pay was good, and the work was relatively fun. He continues to keep out of the public eye and aiding the group as so long as it is beneficial for him. He knows however that he is only safe with them as long as he continues to be useful. He has built a good track record with Gensei so he never has trouble finding work. Even though he prefers to work alone he will work with a team if the situation demands it.

Esper's Ability:

Using nitrogen from the atmosphere he is able to cover small areas of his body to increase his defense or attack power slightly. For example covering his hands and increasing the outward force. This can also be used in the opposite way allowing him to stick to walls or move his body away from danger faster than usual. When blocking an attack he must focus all of his power to the point of impact or the result will be minimal.

If Sadao were going to block something like a bullet he would need to know the area where it was going to hit in order to block it. And still depending on the power of the gun the attack might get through. When in close enough range he can use this ability to hold and restrain opponents by attracting them. But in order to get a hold on them he must make direct contact with them.

If used correctly this can also increase his moving speed slightly using this power to push off the ground during a sprint helping him move around easier or dodge attacks. Much of his power comes from his own physical form with his power adding to his repertoire.

Appearance: Sana can be seen carrying around this doll (on the picture) when not at school.



Personality: Sana is a very caring and nice person, however, she usually tends to show this side only when she's not at the school grounds. At school, she is quite serious, to the point that she avoids showing emotions. This is because her father taught her that goofing off in school is inexcusable, as one student must be show discipline and should act serious and be committed to studying. Sana ended up believing that if were to follow her father's guidance, she'd be a good role model for her younger siblings.

Ever since the kidnapping of Sana herself and her younger sister, Sana received a somewhat mental scar in her heart. She soon seemed to have become almost overprotective when it came to her younger sister, Tamaki Minase, even convincing her father to let Tamaki come with her to stay in Academy City.

Occupation: Student (Tokiwadai Middle School).

Affiliation: None.

Background: Eldest daughter of the Minase family, which is a family known to be relatively wealthy. As the eldest, Sana took up the task of taking care of her four younger siblings whenever her parents were out due to work. To keep her siblings happy, she adopted the idea of performing doll shows for her siblings in an attempt to bring smiles to their faces, even making the dolls by herself. She'd set up plays and use ventriloquism, even performing simple magic tricks, which she secretly practiced everyday, to make her shows more interesting for her siblings.

One day, she experienced something terrible, after being kidnapped along with her younger sister, she felt that her life would change forever. They were both held captive for days, they weren't fed properly, only allowed to have a sip of water from time to time, and rarely allowed to go the toilet, the experience was horrifying enough that they'd probably not get over the traumatic feelings for years to come. On the day the two were rescued by police, the kidnapper tried to take Sana and her sister to escape to a different location, after realizing that the police had came, but Sana tried to restrain and tried to prolong till the rescuers reached the room, and that's when the kidnapper snapped and hit her, which inflicted an injury to her left eye. Later in the day, she was taken to the hospital where they where able to treat her wounded eye, but it turned out the iris of her eye was damaged in such a way that the color of her eye changed to yellow, resulting in heterochromia. During the days Sana spent in the hospital, she'd cry when she's alone in the room, feeling powerless about how she couldn't protect her sibling, she realized that there was no way she'd be able to protect them on her own, if she continued to stay the state she was in. When the day came in which Sana was released from the hospital, she receive a doll of a rabbit from her siblings, from that day on; she started to carry it around with her everywhere.

When the time drew closer for the start of her second year of middle school, she took the decision of participating in the Power Curriculum Program of Academy City, in other words, she wanted to attend schools and study there, she also convinced her father to allow her to take her youngest sibling - Tamaki, with her, she also added that she'd be able to take better care of her then her younger brothers. It was then revealed to her father that she aimed to enroll in Tokiwadai Middle School, and if that were to fail, she'd resort to enroll in Sakugawa Middle School, her little sister Tamaki decided by herself that would also take part in the Power Development Curriculum and attend a Primary school, any one would be fine for as long as it's close to where they live. While her father was worried that his eldest daughter may still be in shock or emotional peril due to the kidnapping incident, he took the decision to have faith in Sana, and decided to allow both his daughters to go to Academy City, it is unknown if the brothers would be sent to Academy City in the future.

Sana reasoning to convince her father, came from the conclusion that if she were to become an esper and gain some kind of a strong power, she'd be able to protect her younger siblings no matter what.

However, that was not how it was meant to be. In her new life in Academy City, as Sana took part in the Power Development Curriculum, her sister got separated from her in the middle of the process as elementary schools and places for them to live are all in the School District 13. She had to forcibly brush aside her pointless worrying and prayed that her sister would stay safe, the fact that Anti-Skill is stationed around the district also reassured her, and then she started out her life as an esper by becoming a newborn Electromaster, it is known that she started as a level 3, which is when she just entered Tokiwadai Middle School and started her second year. She reached level 4 sometime after that, apparently. After getting somewhat adjusted to her new life in the School Garden, she started venturing out in different areas of the city, she found herself wandering around School District 13, perhaps it was due to her worry for her younger sister, or to simply meet her by chance, and that's where she came across an orphanage, in which she decided to volunteer to help at least twice a week.

Esper's Ability: Sana Minase is an electromaster, a type of an esper who can control and manipulate electricity to do their bidding. She can make sparks of electricity from her bangs, which she can use to either use to electrocute a person, it can also be used to hack or disable electronics.

As a level 4 esper, her powers have other appliances as well:

- Metallic Charge: Her special technique, with her electromagnetism, she can control metallic objects within her vicinity. By amplifying the link she makes with the objects, and then discharging the link, she is able to blast out an electrical shockwave from the objects themselves, the range of this attack depends on the size of the object.

- Electromagnetism: Through electromagnetism, Sana is able to gain advantage from metallic objects that can be found within her sight, by manipulating them. Using electromagnetism, she can also walk in ceilings and walls.

- Unique Sensory Perception of Electric-type Espers: As an electromaster, Sana is also able to sense electric, magnetic, and electromagnetic phenomena.

- Spatial Sensing: Sana can sense and release electromagnetic waves around her to enable her to see the image of the room three-dimensionally without the use of her sight.

- He carries a set of metal pins similar to the ones Kuroko uses.


Personality: Once a proud member of Judgment, Shou was well-known for being exceptionally friendly, easy to approach, and easy to talk to. Even in the hustle and bustle and amongst all the technology within Academy City, he would go out of his way to greet shop and stall owners. However, ever since a certain Judgment-related incident, his personality has slightly changed.

On a normal day-to-day basis, Shou is generally still friendly; however he no longer goes out of his way to make conversations or greet others. When he does talk to others, he is amicable, often sarcastic and jokes around. The mention of Judgment, and sometimes the sight, makes Shou hesitate and recall the Judgment incident. When researching, conducting experiments, or practicing his teleportation, especially during the night, he wears a grim expression and is extremely serious. With first-hand experience under his belt, he tends to respond to dire situations with a sense control and calmness.

He does not seem to have any close friends and many that talk to him are fellow researchers or students studying the same field.

Background: Shou lived as a single child and was well off, as both his father and mother worked as a scientist for a research lab that served as an outside source for researching Espers and were well paid. They also had lenient hours for the most part, so he spent plenty of time with his parents as well. As a child he was extremely smart, clearly influenced by the line of work and the genes of his parents. Using their connections, Shou's parents set up a transfer for him to be enrolled into a well-known middle school in Academy City and for him to go through a specialized Power Curriculum Program. Shortly before Shou began middle school, his father died from natural causes, and soon after he attended the middle school in Academy City, he got word that his mother had also died of natural causes.

The news that he was alone devastated him. He fell into a deep despair as he was only an only child, and he did not have any relatives even remotely close to Academy City. Money was never a problem as he was already being provided an excessive amount from the set allowance that was being funneled into his bank account from his now deceased parents, but he also had several scholarships that paid for his academic expenses. And, while he rapidly became a Level 2, his depression drove him to avoid both classes and experiments.

As he contemplated dropping out, he witnessed a member of Judgment saving people during a chain of accidents that lead to car crashes and a building burning down. The girl had the ability to teleport, just like Shou, though at the time he could barely mark and teleport small objects. She was a young girl with auburn twin tails, perhaps around his age, and seemed to struggle with every teleport, but she nonetheless continued to save people. Shou was struck with inspiration and awe as he'd seen someone like him with a purpose in life. Shou, while still stricken by the news, had a newfound resolve to save others. If someone like himself had the ability to save others like that girl, it would be a disgrace to the parents that raised him to not do so.

He re-attended classes, and began regularly scoring among the top of the students. He continued the specialized Power Curriculum Program and his power significantly and quickly rose. Simultaneously, he joined Judgment. By the end of middle school, he had good control over his powers, ranked at the top of academic charts, and stood proud as a fully functional member of Judgment. Afterwards, Shou enrolled into a well-known high school, and remained in Judgment, and by the middle of high school, he completed the Power Curriculum Program.

However, an incident with Judgment occurred when his team was called to the scene of a robbery. When his team (consisting of 4 including himself) got there, a simple robbery had turned into a violent chain of murders, with the group of three robbers fleeing from the scene. Shou, who was acting as a temporary chief as his team's official chief had taken a short leave of absence, and his team pursued them, but the moment they turned into an alley, his team was called to go on standby and to let Anti-Skill handle the rest. Enraged and frustrated that orders from above would let the criminals run for any longer, possibly killing more, Shou gave chase and his team followed. After entering the alleyway for less than a minute, the robbers set off a chain of hidden bombs starting from where he and his team entered. Shou was able to teleport himself and another team member further into the alleyway to avoid the explosions using his usual metal pins as a reference point. He looked back to see one team member successfully escaping, and the arm of the other team member laying on the ground out from a pile of debris. The arm was motionless, and a steady pool of blood could be seen coming out from there.

Shou teleported down and let go of the girl in his arms. Just as the three speechless team members began to gather towards the body, the sound of a gunshot was heard and the girl who he was just carrying froze for a second before dropping to the ground next to him. Reactively, Shou and the remaining member took cover behind some machinery, and then the hurried footsteps of the robbers could be heard getting further away. Shou, once consumed by fear, was now furious and consumed by hatred. He got up and threw a metal pin down the alley using it to teleport to. After teleporting, he heard an explosion behind him, but did not hesitate to continue chasing. It was only a matter of seconds before Shou got sight of the robbers, and when he did, he threw a metal pin straight at the back of one of the robbers. However, as he teleported in, grabbing the pin midair, ready to pierce it into the criminal's neck, he was flung aside by a massive shield. He found himself stunned on the sidewalk where the alleyway just ended, and almost immediately passed out from the hit. The area was surrounded by a large amount of Anti-Skill members, one of which bashed Shou as he was about to deal the killing blow to one of the robbers.

Shou woke up in a hospital bed the next day. He heard that all of his other team members were killed, and the criminals were taken into custody. The chief came back immediately from his leave, pulled some strings with the help of the mention of Shou's parents, and Shou was able avoid being thrown into jail. However, Shou disregarded his chief's goodwill, and quit Judgment promptly. While still harboring hatred for the criminals that killed his former team, he had been consumed by something far stronger: a lust for power. He hated the fact that he was so weak. 'If I was stronger, then I could've saved them all,' is what constantly ran through his mind.

Shou finished high school, enrolled into Dangai University, and is now studying high level 11th dimension theory. While he acts normal in day to day life, he hesitates and grits his teeth when he sees Judgment members patrolling, and by the night, he either toils on 11th dimension theory knowing that understanding it would lead to him becoming more powerful or actively pushes his teleporting abilities to the limit.

Name of the Ability: Multi Point

Type of Ability: Teleport

Esper's Ability: A form of teleportation that requires the user to have at least 2 marked reference points, usually made through the contact of an object, and marking it with his/her AIM; as the user passively always emits AIM, he/she may always use their own body as a marked reference point. The marked targets act as reference points, unlike Teleport which generally uses the user as the main reference point, and Move Point which does not use reference points at all. The user finds the marked targets' locations in the 11th dimension, and then calculates the vectors to teleport one marked target, to the location of the other marked target. The use of reference points makes Multi Point as fast as basic Teleport, but with every marked target the number of calculations needed to teleport becomes increasingly larger. Targets stayed marked for several minutes before fading.

Multi Point was once considered a weakened form of basic Teleport as the user cannot freely teleport without using marked reference points to 'ease' 11th dimension calculations. However, it is now known that simultaneous calculations for at least two objects during teleportation make Multi Point more difficult. Multi Point becomes faster, more versatile, and can travel with far more precision with multiple points of reference, than basic teleportation. Teleporting using marked targets in motion tends to be extremely exhausting as the reference point must tracked/constantly calculated.

Shou's Multi Point has a range limit of roughly 100 meters between marked targets to teleport, a weight limit of 120 kilograms, and can only teleport one marked target at a time. He can effectively and efficiently use 4 marked targets; each marked target in use after 4 becomes exponentially taxing and the time to teleport becomes noticeably slower. He has never gone past 7 marked targets, and when he did use 7, he failed to teleport and had to be taken to a hospital due to collapsing from extreme mental exhaustion.

Example of basic usage:
Shou 'marks' a metal rod and throws in into a wall a distance away. Once it hits/gets stuck in the wall, Shou teleports to it, takes the rod, and throws it to another wall. The process repeats itself resulting in a leapfrog-like way of teleporting.

Personality: Kazuki is a simple guy that always gets his job done. Always do it quickly and accurately. But, he always gets side tracked since he often tries to practice his ability.

Sometimes he feels lonely since most of his friends in highschool leaves him on mondays till wednesdays because of his smell after working in the sewers. some just stays with him but with a clothes pin on their noses.

Background: Kazuki is a mild mannered normal school boy with loads of work on his hands. He became like this since at the age of 12, his parents didn't want him to take the Power Curriculum Program. Kazuki which was pissed because of this, stole his parents life savings including their signature copies and ran away from home. He followed a bus taking him to Academy City.

At the entrance he was asked for his parents signatures and papers. Kazuki who doesn't know anything about this lied to the guards and gave the signature copy along with his entrance papers. The guards quickly took him to the first stage of the Power Curriculum Program.

Years had passed and he managed to live alone for 3 years. He started out as a level 1 Esper who can only make very small water currents on swimming pools. On his first System Scan he managed to make a larger water current but he was still considered as a Level 1 student. This made him rage and he wanted to increase his power. He then started to practice when he's in the bath tub. Making swirls of water and small currents.

On his second System Scan he managed to attain a level 2 but was considered the weakest level 2 of all the participants. This, again made him rage and decided to up his practice level in to a greater length. He began to make a certain amount of water float. But after 2 seconds the water falls back down. He practiced this daily every time he goes in to take a bath or on fish pond that he saw.

On to his third System Scan he was still on level 2 but praised by his friends because he was at the top of his class. This changed his personality in to a more joyful but anxious. On his way back to the dorms he was surprised to see his parents were waiting for him right in front of his room door. His father looked at him in a furious look and slapped Kazuki hard on his cheeks and his mother hugged him tight. His father was so worried and angry because of his only son ran away from home.

Kazuki cried in his mother's arms and promised that he will make them proud.

He now studies at A Certain Highschool on the 2nd grade and managed to get to Level 3 on last year's System Scan. He lives on the student dorms and works on any area the company tells him to.

His parents still gives him money but it wasn't enough. So he decided to find him self a job and the only available job for his ability is Pool cleaning. He takes his ability to it's fullest when he's cleaning pools but the company pays more if the pool was cleaned normally than cleaning it by using his ability. Sometimes the company tells him to clean the sewers and the park's ponds but only when it's too dirty to clean by hand. This was his perfect chance to further enhance his powers by practicing his Hydro Hand.

In the sewers, he practices to control the water flow and make small waves to gather the dirt and trash. Sometimes he tries to lift the clumps of water and shoots it to the wall. Sometimes this leaves cracks and stains on the wall, but it was not dangerous. At the park however, he always shoots and the rocks and often leaves quite huge cracks on it. No one notices since it's rare to see people on a park especially on weekends.

He often got scolded at school for not wearing the school given shoes and most students complain about his smell when he's around usually on mondays till wednesdays. Kazuki often said that he has to be ready if he has sudden calls for his work.

Hydro Hand is a lineage of psychic powers involving the manipulation of the flow of water. A limited derivation of Telekinesis.
Shown applications include removing dirt of a drained pool without the use of a deck brush by collecting the little remaining water and rolling it up until waist-level. It is enough to make a 10 courses-wide pool entirely clean. Kazuki can only control four separate clumps of water at the same time, though it is shown he has great difficulty for every clump he tries to control. Furthermore, once he controls water, he can still control it despite being out of his sight, or taken inside a container. Water being scattered on the ground renders it useless to him.

Appearance:
The glasses are fake. He wears them because he likes how it looks on him. He takes them off whenever he needs to concentrate.

His casual attire always consists of jeans, and his top is either a button-up shirt or a hooded sweatshirt, depending on the weather. Jun never leaves home without his headphones.

Personality:
A young man coming from a well-off family, Jun is an intelligent, yet lazy, student. He’s good about getting his work done in time, and studies properly for important tests, but is otherwise pretty lax about less important schoolwork.

He bores very easily, and will jump from one activity to another if one isn't able to hold his interest. Jun will often seek the company of his peers to help relieve himself of his boredom. He is very cheerful around others, always wanting to talk and laugh with those near him.

Jun is also very confident, if not sometimes arrogant. He enjoys the thrill of competition, and cares little about the stakes. In fact, the risk only motivates him, making losing not an option in his mind. The result is usually irrelevant, as he's satisfied regardless whether he wins or loses. He’s never needed to gamble anything of great personal value to him, yet.

Background:
Jun was born into a family of doctors, who are respected among their colleagues, though they aren’t particularly well-known. His parents attempted to change that by establishing a hospital in Academy City. Despite being overshadowed by another hospital in District 5, the Shimizu Hospital has done reasonably well since its founding.

Their son, Junichi, was born roughly a year after the hospital was built. His parents initially had doubts about putting him into the Power Curriculum Program, especially at a young age, but they felt that they shouldn’t hold back their son from his potential. The results, however, were disappointing. Jun was categorized as a Level 0.

Still eager to meet the high expectations from his parents and other family members, Jun worked hard on his studies. He was always highly ranked in his classes, scoring within the top ten students in A Certain High School. His parents were impressed by his drive, rewarding him handsomely after hearing his results. Jun was glad his parents were proud of the hard work he put into his schoolwork.

It still vexes Jun that he cannot increase his level during each yearly System Scan, however. “What is wrong?” “What am I doing wrong?” “Have I done anything wrong?” “Was there no hidden potential for me to unlock?” These are questions he asks himself whenever he’s frustrated with the results of the System Scan each year. He becomes envious of his peers whenever he sees one use their power in front of him during this time.

In his most recent year of high school, he once again faced the disappointment of being categorized as a level 0. Jun secluded himself from his friends for the rest of that day, not wanting them to see him so angry with himself. He walked home alone that day, and along the way, someone attempted to mug him. His assailant was strong, managing to pin Jun to the ground and continued to beat him. In an act of resistance as he was starting to lose consciousness, he tried pushing the man off of him, and to his surprise, that man was blown backwards by a sudden gust of wind. The man slammed into a nearby wall before falling over in pain. Jun used this chance to run away.

When Jun arrived home, he immediately went into his room and sat on his bed, staring at his hands. After taking several deep breaths to absorb what had just happened, he muttered under his breath, “Maybe we’re finally getting somewhere…” He tried launching small objects in his room in the same manner that he did with the mugger, but none were successful.

Since that incident, Jun would spend some time every day in his backyard, trying to recreate the gust of wind he created that day, with sporadic results. Only a few times out of the many has he actually done it, and each time, the gust was not nearly as strong as the first, and appeared in a place he didn’t intend. While frustrated that he has very little control over his power, he’s ecstatic that he’s finally attained one.

Assuming he could actually control his powers, Jun could create ejection points for air by touching an object, or given more control, something near him (approximately 8 feet), and being able to propel objects with a gust of wind from those ejection points. As for his abilities right now, he can’t figure out how to do it willingly, but will occasionally do it accidentally, randomly launching objects when he lashes out in frustration.

Appearance: Aside from her school uniform and casual clothing, she sometimes wears a crimson qipao with loose sweatpants. Her hair isn't as long as it is in the pic. It extends down to just above the knees.


Personality: Li is generally considered straightforward and direct. It is not so much that she lacks tact, but rather she has a disdain for mincing words, regardless of whether or not her words may be scathing or hurtful. She values mental and physical prowess, specifically the acquisition of such for the betterment of oneself and the benefits to others. Because of this, she is fairly competitive and tends to courage other classmates, rivals, and opponents to do the same. She takes delight in finding and overcoming hurdles due to her competitive nature.

She also has a sense of self-righteousness, with her being fairly intolerant over detestably 'unjust' acts. However, she manages, most of the time, to evaluate the situation and figure out the most optimal course of action before intervening. She treats her esper ability as an addition to her own 'normal' skills and may intervene without using powers, if nothing more than for the sake of the challenge. Rationally, she knows about legitimate enforcement authorities, but often shares the common disdain for the slow acting Judgement and Anti-skill organizations.

If Li had one specific downside, it would have to be her fear of failure, not so much for her parents or her peers, but for herself. During such rare times, her mood would be reflected by her blazing flames, as she would angrily 'beat' herself up over her self-perceived incompetence.

Background: Li was born in Shanghai, China to middle-class parents and lived in her home city for the first few years. Then by the age of 4, she moved with her parents to Japan due to her father's job. Li managed to settle into the foreign country relatively well. By the age of 6, the Li Family took a tour to Academy City and learned about the Power Curriculum Program. Seeing as how unique the opportunity was, they discussed the Program with Li, who was rather excited at the prospect of harnessing ESP ability, not just for her parents, but for that glint of becoming something more.

So she left her family and settled into Academy City, which she marveled at the sheer number of advancements that were commonplace within the city. However, during her first few years in school, her straightforward and competitive nature (and lack of humility) intimidated other students, so she ended up with very few friends. She didn't mind, as she achieved results during that time, with the manifestation of her power, pyrokinesis, within her second year and steadily progressed as the years passed. She relished the challenges that were provided within Academy City as well as the freedom of a “student's life”.

As she went through junior high school, she also picked up various armed and unarmed martial arts as hobbies. She believed in having a 'sound mind and sound body' as well as the means to defend oneself without having to rely on others. (This is also a response to her disdain for local enforcement.) She learned a few eastern martial arts, such as wushu variations as well as aikido, and some Chinese swordplay. By the final year of her junior high, she also took up kendo. Her parents didn't have the money to send her to the more prestigious schools, but Li didn't mind as long as her freedom to challenge herself existed.

Esper's Ability: The core basics of pyrokinesis applies, where the principle is the one which lies in raising the motion of a target's molecules through Telekinesis in order to ignite it. In cases where a fire is started when there is no combustible materials, not just heating power but also a realization factor might be involved. Li can utilize her powers on an average level, with the directing of fire balls and/or streams toward her desired targets, of usually up to 3 meters away.

However, she's also able to stimulate molecules to the point of adjusting their density within a certain area. This allows her to form super-concentrated fire 'objects' with her hands. She can fine-control the molecules around the relevant areas of her body to avoid burning herself with said objects with appropriate concentration. Her background with martial arts meant that her preferred 'objects' that she forms are swords and other melee weapons. So she can use her fire 'blades' (of potentially varying sizes) to sweep and cut apart objects with a certain finesse. Her strength with melee and fire makes it difficult for her to face off against those of the aquakinesis and/or ranged abilities. Also, the concentration needed to maintain the 'formed' fire (as well as preventing said fire from burning her hands/arms) limits Li to about three minutes of continuous use.

Fuyuko never ties up her hair, rather than looking after it herself, she prefers to have it short so that it doesn't get in her way.

Fuyuko is aging at half the speed of her friends, therefore despite being 12, she is only about 120cm tall


Personality: Cheerful and straightforward; Fuyuko doesn't ever let her height weigh her down! ...or so she'd like to believe. "Just you wait till Fuyu gets her growth spurt! Fuyu will be waaaay taller than you!" is Fuyuko's signature catch phrase. As seen from her quote, Fuyuko speaks in third person; not for the sake of acting cute mind you, she simply just hasn't grown out of the phase of copying how the adults generally talk to her. Her child-like appearance garners her child-like treatment, which in turn causes Fuyuko to remain mentally as a child.

Fuyuko is outgoing and tomboyish as a result of being raised without a mother's influence. Having experienced the terror from her father's sudden collapse, Fuyuko has become more perceptive and tries to keep an eye out for the people around her. She now easily notices when people are pushing themselves too hard or when someone is lying. Aside from getting angry when people call her short, Fuyuko is rather amicable and making friends comes naturally to her.

Background: Ever since Fuyuko's parents got divorced shortly before she entered preschool, Fuyuko's father was determined to ensure that he could spend more time with Fuyuko to make up for the loss of her mother. However, during Fuyuko's second year of elementary school, Fuyuko's father collapsed from the heavy strain from work, while caring for Fuyuko at the same time, and had to be hospitalised for a few days. It was then, that Fuyuko realised how much energy her dad had been spending so that she could be happy and carefree. At first, she tried to lessen his burden by trying to pick up the household chores but she had no idea how to cook and the bench was too high for her to reach the sink and wash the dishes. She later figured that maybe if she could wake up early and hung the laundry, her dad could sleep in, but instead, her father ended up waking her up every morning. By the time she'd woken up, the laundry would already be hanging outside. In the midst of looking for a solution, she simply wished that she was able to use magic to make life easier, this reminded her of the special beings known as 'espers' she had seen on television, which she then innocently also wanted to be an esper, and thought that maybe she could make her life easier with an interesting ability. It was also mentioned in the television programs that espers could earn money by enrolling in one of their schools, if the students takes up the Power Curriculum Program; a special curriculum that can allow a student to become an esper, which only the Academy City can offer. With that in mind, she begged her father to let her go to Academy City. Despite objections at first due to concern for his daughter, Fuyuko's father finally consented when Fuyuko told him she would come back if she wasn't able to obtain an ability.

After undergoing the Power Curriculum Program, it was discovered that she had quite a rare power. The power to decelerate particles had very great potential. Aside from the most basic use of freezing liquids, if she understood science further and learned how to do calculations better, she'd be able to slow down objects, or even immobilise people or animals. In fact, using the properties of metals, if Fuyuko could decelerate the particles of a metal to almost absolute zero, the said metal would become a superconductor. Thus, a very strong permanent electromagnet that requires no voltage. Therefore it was decided that she would stay in academy city, to be educated further in order to hone her powers.

As time went by, Fuyuko successfully learned how to freeze liquids. Although due to being unable to factor in vector calculations since they're too difficult for her to understand, she has to determine the area of deceleration via touch. It seemed as if everything was going as planned. However, during the last year of elementary school, the passive effects of her ability were finally beginning to show. Fuyuko herself and her peers were all thinking that it's probably simply a matter of genetics, and thus, assumed that Fuyuko is a late bloomer, and her growth spurt will arrive later.

Name of the Ability: Decelerator.

Type of ability: Telekinesis.

Active or Passive?: Both.

Esper's Ability: For the active aspect, due to limited understanding of science in general (still average in terms of general knowledge around the world), Fuyuko can only decelerate the particles of one chemical substance that she is in contact with within a volume of 2 cubic meters. Decelerating particles means decreasing the rate at which they move, so in the case of water molecules, when the particles lose energy to move around, in other words; deceleration, the attractive forces between the particles become strong enough to hold the particles in a crystalline lattice structure, which is ice. To conclude; she can freeze any liquid that her palms comes in touch with. Liquids with lower freezing points require more calculation, and hence, concentration to freeze. Therefore, the volume of liquid that Fuyuko can decelerate into solids before she tires herself out is dependent on the freezing point of her choice of liquid. For H2O which has a freezing point of 0 degrees Celsius, 32 degrees fahrenheit or 273.15 Kelvin, Fuyuko can freeze up to 2 cubic meters.

For the passive aspect, Fuyuko's AIM dispersion field is like a very weak form of her active aspect, causing a small drop in the temperature around her. However the deceleration of particles is also applied to her actual body particles; all her cells function slower than that of the average human leading to slow growth, physically and mentally, and also slow regeneration abilities. This part of the passive effects were confirmed by adult researchers around her, they realised through examinations and multiple check-ups that her lack of growth is due to this passive aspect, which slowed down her physical and mental growth. This is the reason why she's still quite childish, and even looks child-like even at the age of 12.

Academy City - the veritable Neverland populated by 2.3 million civilians, 80% of whom are all espers, possessing powers that ordinary people would call 'supernatural'. The opposition to salaryman teachers was harsh even compared to a normal school, and more importantly, the 'strength' of a student was based on both their academic ability and their power, their prowess would be graded based on different attributes, after which their level would be determined. As it has around 1.8 million students, it is also home to countless number of schools and dormitories, which justifies it's name perfectly.

It was September 28th, weather forecast said that it'd be sunny. However, the sky was enveloped in clouds, the city was tinted dark-grey; lightning could be seldom seen dancing about in the dark sky, lightening up the outlook of the city. Chest-brown hair was flipping about due to the heavy wind, a small hair clip barely kept it bound, her eyes - having same color as the hair - glinted with fury, the short-haired girl's skirt too, stuttered uncontrollably due to the wind, often revealing shorts underneath. Sparks seemed to escape from her bangs, as if portraying her anger. Her school uniform showed that she's a middle schooler, her uniform clearly showing the emblem of the prestigious school known as the Tokiwadai Middle School. It was as if she suddenly woke up from something, and hurriedly took off a badge from her uniform, which had a picture of a green frog portrayed on it, and placed it insider her pocket in her skirt - that girl was Misaka Mikoto, the third level 5 esper of Academy City - the Railgun.

The person who elegantly stood opposite to Mikoto was an older girl, much taller than Mikoto; who looked down on her with cold eyes - seemingly calm. Her height reminiscent of a high schooler... but perhaps slightly taller than a usual high school student. Her short blond hair seemed to be slightly smaller than Mikoto's as it was gently waved by the heavy gust. She wore long black pants with jet black shirt, top two buttons seemed to be unbuttoned, possibly for the modern trend, her neck covered by a black chain, holding down a red crystal-like object right below her neck, it shined with the lights of the lightning caused by Mikoto. Her clear blue eyes flickered with something akin to calmness, yet one could tell that she was confident, and excited. She was the latest modicum of pride of the Academy City, she was known as Kihara Natsu - the Time Flare.

A playful music played out, the sound was carried to Mikoto's ears through the wind, she frowned. Natsu flipped out a cell phone from the pockets of her long pants, upon receiving the call calmly, she gave simple replies to the person on the other side of the phone such as 'yes, yes, okay, I understand,' and she soon hung up. With a smile, Natsu spoke Oh, I'm sorry, it seems like I have to head over to my work-place soon. You know... shooting scenes and all," Mikoto frowned "Hey, wait!! Do you think I'm going to this slide?! After seeing how you were treating that girl?! Don't treat people like they're your toys!" her sense of justice came out in broad daylight. "I was having just a bit of fun, why'd you fry yourself with electricity over that?"

"... What?! That didn't seem anything like that?! You almost burned her!"

"Well, I didn't thanks to you, that means I haven't really done anything bad, right? Now, unlike you who has lots of free time, I have -real- work to do, please excuse me, Misaka-san."

Natsu bowed slightly, turned around, Mikoto's sparks flew from her bang towards the blond-haired, but a single bright line of flame flew past few inches beside Mikoto's head, at the same time the heat softly caressed her right cheek; surprising her. The flame shoved aside the bolts of sparks that tried to make way towards the fiery lady who stood elegantly like a professional model, Natsu turned her head to show her smile, "Don't be so feisty now. Later."

The rumbling in the sky soon stopped as Natsu walked away from the bridge, and entered a car that was parked right outside the bridge to leave for work.







A beep sound resounded in the room, a button on a remote was pressed. Shokuhou Misaki sat in a table, there was others who either stood or sat close to her, but all those girls were petrified, as if time had stopped for them, but then they started reading random books, as it was the library, the whole student body seemed to be under Misaki's ability. A tall man wearing black coat stood beside Misaki, his smile could be felt to even Misaki who wasn't looking at the man.

Shokuhou Misaki the level 5 esper known as Mental Out - is a person with long and beautifully straight, blond hair. Her pair of white gloves and stockings below her short skirt, adorned with lace made her seem mature, yet added a playfully seductive allure to her atmosphere, as she is known to sometimes make poses meant to depict cutesy. Her eyes - also golden - had an eye-catching feature, that is the star at the center of her iris, she was apparently born like this. Her chest had two large pair of soft bulges of her breasts, and adding that with her height makes it seem like she's not really a middle school student, yet her uniform denies this, especially with the emblem of the prestigious, Tokiwadai Middle School on her left breast.

"So this the girl hmm? She's kinda cute but, for her to be in this project, they must really like her ability ! ★"

"Ah yes, developing an ability that would be known as polar opposite... maybe, yet almost as powerful as Accelerator's, has interested the researchers of the city. As you can see, she seems quite young, but that is due to the effects her power has over her own body. It slows down her physical and mental growth, and this fact was recently discovered."

"And you guys are pulling strings just to make sure that girl is going to be ending up in my room on the dorms? My poor old roommate would be saddened!! ★"

"You don't sound so sad yourself... so it's okay, right?"

"I don't really care much."

Misaki sighed, as she held a picture of a girl with short hair, who really seemed to be childlike, even her height made her seem like a primary school student, but she seemed to have a radiant smile, perhaps she really is as childish as she is known to be.

"Another project... mnm, what is that old man up to this time?"

A beep sound resounded in the large, spacious library, the student body were released from Misaki's ability, after their mind were altered by her skill. The tall man was long gone, and Misaki sat there in the table, pondering to herself about the project with cold eyes.

The final bell rang, signalling the end of the day's classes.

"Ohhh, man! Today was a long day!" Jun's stern expression during classes loosened up immediately once the bell rang, where a radiant smile replaced a look of concentration. He laughed as stood from his seat to stretch his body. He had been sitting down for far too long.

Junichi Shimizu is a young man who attends A Certain High School. He has a slender build, causing the uniform he wears to dangle loose in some locations. Around his neck hangs the headphones he wears nearly everywhere, its wires running down underneath his shirt and into his left pocket, where he keeps his music player. He wears glasses... but they're just for show; they don't actually improve his vision at all. To him, it makes him look cooler and seem more intelligent.

Jun scooped up his notes and organized them into his school binder, then put that binder in his backpack. He patted his pockets and checked around his desk to ensure he didn't leave anything behind, before stepping out of the classroom, giving a brief farewell to his peers on his way out.

Usually, Jun would spend some time chatting with his classmates immediately after class, but he had business to attend to. His parents are doctors, who've established their own hospital in Academy City, the Shimizu Hospital. Jun volunteers there every now and then, whenever they're short-staffed for whatever reason. Today is one of those days.

Jun turned on his music player and put his headphones around his ears after he left the school, and began walking toward his destination.

Deep in district 19 it is a shit-hole to say the least. But the people that can scrape their lives together somehow call this home. Because of this Sadao has little to worry about it terms of prying eyes. But one cannot be too careful in any part of Academy City. Gum and chemical stained concrete decorates this part of the city. As the most under-developed part of the city it doesn't have the convenience that the other districts enjoy. Sadao has no problem living like this however. He has been in worse conditions to be sure. His parents didn't hang on to him long, and he was thrown into the orphanage at 6. And it wasn't the nicest place to grow up, but it hardened him up enough to be able to deal with life. After that it was straight into hell.

As Sadao walked through the neighborhood his rustling plastic bag and his blaring headphones were all that could be heard. There was rarely anything happening on his street. Aside from the occasional gang fight or lover's spat it was a nice quiet street. Well at least quiet...

Sadao was wearing a black hoodie with his headphones over the fabric of his hood. A simple pair of jeans and some black work boots. His plastic bag was holding his dinner, and breakfast for the next day. He usually picked these things up from a small store on the corner, but sometimes he would have his contacts get him something from the other districts of the city. He had to find some way to exploit the group that wouldn't land him in hot water.

Walking in through the entrance of his apartment building he jogged his way up the stairs to the 5th floor where his apartment was. The owner didn't ask too many questions as long as he got paid, and that made things easier for everyone. Having his own place made things smoother for his line of work. It wasn't the best looking place, but it was home. Flipping out his keys he unlocked the door to his apartment humming the lyrics to his song as he entered. Looking to his sparsely furnished apartment he plopped down on the couch and propped his feet up on the table. His apartment was kept clean for the most part, but he was a bit behind on dusting. That was something that he could put off for another day. Along with the faux leather couch and dark wood table he has a stand for his medium sized T.V. His room is just a bed, a drawer, and his work desk where he studies and plans things out. The second room was the most furnished room with his exercise equipment.

Hearing thunder in the distance over the sound of his music he took down his earphones and turned off his mp3 player. Sadao took his canned tea from the bag before walking to the window in his kitchen. Sliding it open he took a look at the moody clouds looming over the city. Lightning strikes flickering ever so often.

"The weather man is never right..." he said cracking open his tea and taking a sip. It was sweet lemon flavor. The only kind that he would drink and he would often hassle the shop owner for not having it in stock 24/7. Taking a look back outside he knew this was no ordinary storm. Nothing was every ordinary in Academy City. He assumed it was just two heavy weights butting heads.

The storm continued for a short moment before it subsided to let the sunlight trickle back in. Leaving the window open he walked back to the couch and dug in the bag for tomorrow's breakfast and placed it into his fridge. Then returning to the couch he grabbed his remote and turned on the television. Putting on some random cartoon he looked in his bag and took out the chicken and vegetables that he bought from the store. Laying them out on the counter he unwrapped the chicken placing it on the cutting board and began preparing his meal.

Oiling the pan and then following the steps he knew so well he whipped up chicken stir fry in no time. Cooking was one of the things he needed to learn to do for himself. Store bought meals just don't taste as good. After the food was ready he made his plate and sat down on the couch with it. Half way into his gourmet chow Sadao's phone rang with a familiar ring tone. Sighing he snatched the phone from his pocket and flipped it open.

"What's the target?" he asked awaiting information.

The school’s final bell rang. It’s time for the students of A Certain Highschool to go home for the day. Hono, on the other hand went to the swimming club’s swimming pool to do his weekly routine. Now where should I start? Hono mumbled as he walked through the hall way.

Red filled the skies as Hono walked to the pool. Even though Hono always stays late every week to clean the swimming pool, the empty school grounds gave an eerie feel as Hono walked pass the track field.

Now then, time to start cleaning. Hono raised his arms and started to make 3 currents for the leaves and dirt flow. He moved it to the corner and began scooping it with a plastic bag. And they said my methods were not making the pool clean.

Hono finished his work looked up, It was already dark and the street lights was already on. Aw man, Hono mumbled and runs back to the dorms.

"Cut!" a man yelled loud, enough to snap Natsu back into reality. Her work for today seemed to be just about done. Natsu sighed, so as to relax, then went to the staff and gave her thanks, while bowing her head. She then walked out of T.V station. Natsu is still a newbie in the entertainment industry, she may have gotten somewhat popular recently, but she isn't someone who's going to act like a big-shot so soon and have a man drive her home all the time. Her agency also had a same line of thought, and didn't assign a manager to her yet.

Natsu wandered about in the city with the same set of cloths - jet black shirt and pants, her slender figure and curves showed through her cloths, revealing her elegance for the crowds to see. She had been in district 9 the whole day, but she then spent the rest of the day walking around the city; sight-seeing. Somehow she ended up in district 2, "Aww, it's getting dark, not to mention that this area doesn't look so nice when I actually get in here... well, it's mostly a training area anyway. Why did my curiosity sparked for this?" Natsu kept murmuring to herself in disappointment, and walked north-east, which is the location in which her dorms are located.

While moving towards her destination, a little girl seemed to be looking for something in the streets. A green armband hung on her left hand, it's insignia telling Natsu that the little child is a member of Judgement. Natsu knew that district 2 is where members of Judgement and Anti-skill gets training before they join, but she didn't think that she'd run into an actual member of either of the two groups. She assumed that the short little girl is a member-in-training. Someone so young can't possibly be a member, but then, that daunting armband said otherwise. Natsu walked forward, "Patrolling? Looking out for crimes? That's one troublesome task that's been pushed into an innocent little kid, don't you think?"

The young girl with light-blond hair responded with a rather determined expression, "W-What are you saying pushed into an innocent little kid?! Are you saying that I can't handle it? I'll tell you now that, I, Tamaki can handle at -least- that much!" Tamaki announces her name as if she is a famous person at work.

"Oh? How far can a little kid like you see, anyway?" Natsu asked playfully, with a smile that rather looked down on the young, spirited girl.

"I can see far, mind you! Seems like older people like you are even bad at guessing," Tamaki said, pointing at Natsu's face.

"Is that so... ?" Natsu frowned for a moment, "Then - if I may ask - what exactly is the brave member of Judgement doing in an area that contains training grounds for people willing to join Judgement and Anti-skill?"

"I'm out looking for a robber who's reported to be hiding here, I got here ahead of others after rushing out. Adults are liars, rushing is the best way to catch criminals fast!"

Ugh, what a brat... well, she's a kid alright. Where are those old bastards who -should- have tried to stop her from doing that? Wait... robbers still exists? Oh well, Natsu then cleared her throat, jerking up her shoulders, she made a proposal, "I see, if that's the case, want me to tag along? You're going to need someone to beat the robbers out, right?"

"I won't be able to protect you if you're in trouble though!" Tamaki announced, devoid of determination, as if she wants Natsu to be in trouble.

"I-I wonder who'd fall into trouble here... " Natsu's twitched in silent anger with a forced smile.

And so begun Tamaki and Natsu's little hunt for hiding robbers. Natsu and Tamaki wondered about in the area, the alleyways were eternally long and vexing. One path lead to another, and one would end up in a fork in the road, sometimes an empty dead end. They also ran into packs of men who were most likely not up to anything good, before they'd start ganging up on them, they'd stop and move back. Tamaki seemed oblivious to the reason they move back, but she didn't think that they'd try to do anything bad, she is simply innocent. The main reason they backed out was because Natsu gave a chilling smile while standing Tamaki, which froze their feet.

Time passed and it was almost curfew time. Natsu started to ponder if it was even alright to be in the alleyway in that kind of a time. Right when was she about to tell Tamaki to just give up and waste time, they came upon a dead end, where the robbers entered through a door. Tamaki instantly pointed toward them from the peeking beside the walls, and said that the descriptions of the robbers' outlook did match. After hearing that, Natsu simply walked towards the Tamaki. Much to Tamaki's protests, who wanted to be the one to take care of it herself and acted like an adult telling a child to stay back; Natsu asked her to stay behind.

"I'll show you something nice, kid."

From inside, the door seemed to be tinted orange, and it soon melted down to something akin to black pieces of scrap, after which it was kicked down strongly. Natsu strolled in casually, as if it's natural to walk into the thieves' den. There was a table, three people in ragged, black overalls sat; astounded, there was a table in the middle of the room, where bundles of cash were laid. They were most likely distributing the money to each other. The robbers panicked for a bit thinking that Anti-Skill or Judgement caught them, but then they realized that it's just some girl in black who didn't seem to even have an armband of a Judgement member. Someone definitely sighed. It was a sigh of a relief.

Tamaki peered towards the now-broken-down door from outside, she slowly scurried towards the entrance of the little hideout. She prepared her arms for combat, thinking that she'd go in and say something like 'I'm from Judgement, you're all under arrest!' but before she could think further, one of those guilty thief flew from the entrance to the wall outside. His left cheek bashed against the wall so hard, that he felt that his bones were fractured, he then slowly fell down to the floor. An orange light flashed briefly from within the room. Tamaki peeked through the entrance.

Natsu looked at Tamaki while sitting above the table, her her right leg over her left thigh, elegantly looking down at everyone in her view. There were two robbers who were flat on the floor. Tamaki honestly thought they were big, fried cockroaches for a moment.

"Uhh, who was on duty, again?"

Tamaki snapped out of her reverie and rushed inside, "I-I'm from Judgement! You're all under arrest, resistance is futile!" Tamaki claimed.

"Right, right. Very true," Natsu said, sarcastically. Tamaki soon called Anti-skill, and the criminals were arrested. Tamaki was reprimanded for running out for the criminals before the others in her group begun to act. Natsu figured that something like that is probably why Tamaki was wandering about in the district in the first place.

"Thank you very much, Miss," Tamaki looked down, while thanking Natsu. "Ooh? Someone actually taught you how to show gratitude?" Natsu smiled, folding her arms, "H-Hey, here I am, a member of Judgement thanking you! Don't you feel the least bit grateful?!"

"Ahaha, who should be grateful again? You're a funny kid."

"But really... I just wanted to catch the robbers as soon as I could, if you hadn't helped. I'd most likely be able to arrest them. You're pretty amazing too, taking care of them like that. I wish I can be like you!"

"Heh, maybe if you work hard, you'll be as good as me. Say, why did you rush out before anyone else anyway?"

Tamaki looked down, "Because it's hard to trust adults... "

"Ah... I know that feel." Natsu had a rather nostalgic look on her face, she gave a forced smile. This may be the first time she ever spoke to a little girl. It wasn't as bad as she thought it'd be. She surely found Tamaki annoying, but she also found an aspect that made Tamaki similar to her; lack of trust on adults. This is definitely an element they both share.

Natsu said her goodbyes to Tamaki and wished her luck, then walked to the dorms. It'd be nice if she could be innocent forever. The world of adults is a harsh one.

As the final bell rang, a young woman wearing the standard Certain Highschool's uniform stood up and stretched briefly before smoothing out her lengthy black hair. She also straightened out her crimson hairband before she put her books and other material into her bag. She smirked to herself as she noted a number of her classmates yawning or sighing with relief at the end of the school day.

"Li, you heading to Kendo club?" a classmate asked her.

"Yeah. The day is not over yet!" Li replied with a slight boisterous air as she shouldered her bag and her shinai case. She left the main school building and walked across one of the courtyards toward one of the sports buildings that served as the dojo for the Kendo club. She glanced up at the sky and noted the darkening clouds, contrary to the weather report. She grinned as she checked to make sure she had her red-and-gold compact umbrella in her bag.

When she arrived, she greeted the few other members who arrived early before heading to the locker room to change into her gear. After putting on her keigoki and hakama, she carefully fitted the dō chestplate and reached behind her back in order to fasten it. Then she closed her locker before she put on her fingerless kote gloves. She then took her shinai in her right hand and tucked her helmet under her left arm.

Soon after, Li and the other Kendo club members began practice. They went through warm-up exercises and drills as the dojo echoed with the sound of stomping feet, rustling cloth, and shrill kiai shouts. Then the members split up for sparring. Though no one could see through each other's men-gane grill faceguards, Li grinned.

She faced off with other first-year female student and after they properly bowed, they raised their shinais toward each other, but not close enough for contact. One of the first things Li noted when she first started kendo back in junior high was that that men-kote limited the practitioner's peripheral vision, which forced one to completely focus on her opponent, which suited Li fine. Her eyes darted around, first at her opponent's shinai, then to her kote, then down at her feet, and then her opponent's face.

Li noticed a brief twitch at her opponent's right shoulder before her opponent cried out with a kiai and swung her shinai down and to Li's right. Li responded with a similar strike as she stomped forward, with her shinai striking her opponent's right after her foot slammed the floor. Her opponent immediately followed up with a strike to Li's left hand followed by a strike toward her head. Li matched the first strike as she kept her shinai close to her body and when the second strike started to come down toward her head, she quickly swept up and out with her shinai, timing it so that it strike her opponent's shinai before it could finish its motion. That allowed Li to knock her opponent off balance for a moment, which was all she needed.

She rapidly swung her shinai laterally toward her opponent's exposed right hand and shouted, "Kote! Her shinai smacked dead onto her opponent's gloved right hand, hard. Her opponent gasped as she pulled back, waggling her hand, as if in some pain.

"Oh man, Li, did you have to hit that hard?" her opponent asked as she started to rub her hand.

"Sorry. But I always go 100%, even if it's just practice," Li replied with a shrug as she bowed. She then sighed and helped her fellow club mate check on her hand. It was not bruised or broken, but one of their senpais told her to take a short break anyways. Li was then paired off with a more experienced senpai for the rest of practice. Not surprisingly, she took more hits than she gave, but at a far shorter margin. She smiled as she and everyone else bowed at the end of practice.

After they cleaned up and changed, Li left the school with her schoolbag and shinai case. She covered her face briefly after a particularly strong gust of wind blew through the area. Then she continued to walk back to the dorm.

"Ah, that practice was great. I think I got enough leftovers to cook up something when I get back," Li though to herself.

"Once upon a time, there was a small kingdom. However small and fragile it was, people lived here happily, since it was under the reigns of the kind and graceful Princess Tamaki. Everyone living their lives to the fullest with joy; Princess Tamaki's wishes were carried out promptly as she did her best to improve everyone's lives. However, tragedy struck upon the land one day. Not so far from the kingdom, lived an evil witch who despised all that is good, and wished to only spread evil across the lands. One day, she... "

"Ugh, this isn't good enough to start it off with... " Sana formed a ball with the paper she torn off from her writing book out of frustration, and tossed it to the place where it belonged - where the rest of the plethora of tossed balls of paper lied. She then stood up, gently taking up her stuffed rabbit doll that was placed in the desk, she then proceeded to opening the window and sighed; looking up to the sky, "I wonder when I'll get to see Tamaki again..." a depressed expression surfaced, she looked up, as if searching for something in the vastness of the sky. "Why didn't I stopped her... ? Even though I know they said she wouldn't be doing anything by herself, but I still can't help but feel so anxious!" much to her chagrin, even if she did say so, nothing would have changed, Sana felt more anger than depression for a moment, resulting in sparks buzzing out from her bangs, static electricity burned in the air for a bit, as if releasing the tension from her head.

Sana then took a deep breath to calm herself, and spoke to herself, "Stay calm Sana, you're aware of the fact that you told Tamaki about how you will respect her decisions," she paused in thought for a moment, "... But I still can't believe she was that determined to join Judgement," Sana said as she started to pet her stuffed rabbit doll, a way she thinks with which can help keep her calm. "What to do you think Touma, should we look for Tamaki again tomorrow after school?" she spoke to her doll as if it could really reply to her question, as she continued to look up into the sky. "Yes, you're right, we should, Tamaki isn't going tell us where she is if I just ask her, by doing this, we can also surprise her!" Sana said as she lifted her stuffed rabbit doll, which she had named Touma up in the air and then hugged it.

"We better clean up the mess we made, Touma," Sana continued to speak to her doll. "We don't know when our roommate will come back from her trip, after all," she said begun picking up tossed papers from the ground. "Though it does feel rather lonely with just the two of us here... " she commented while continuing to clean up. ""But then, Touma, do you think our roommate personality has changed much? I hope it has, I'd want to get along with her," Sana said happily as she then took out some sowing supplies and started working on sewing up a doll, "I'll just work on this one for about an hour, then head to bed. Can't wake up late for tomorrow classes now can I, Touma?" Sana said as she happily worked on her next doll.

The sun was already beginning to set as Shou walked out of one of many research labs in Dangai University and onto the open streets of District 5. He wore a white T-shirt, jeans, and a black light jacket.

District 5 was home to a vast amount of college, universities, and research labs. Due to its increased age demographic as opposed to the neighboring District 7, District 5 was far less crowded and was fairly peaceful. Those who walked the streets were usually either headed to or from Universities of research labs as many of the shops in District 5 were rather simple and were aimed to provide essentials such as groceries and supplies. Nonetheless, with labs and universities within its boundaries, the streets of the district were generally supplied with a wide assortment of prototype technology ranging from new security robots to large, levitating projection machines. As Shou walked down the sidewalk, one such broadcasting machine hovered above the sign of the grocery store he was headed towards, and the voice of a female newscaster could be heard.

'Earlier today, another joint effort from Anti-Skill and Judgment has resulted in the discovery of a hideout belonging to a group of robbers.'

Shou winced ever-so-slightly at the mention of Judgment and Anti-Skill, but proceeded to watch the broadcast.

'It was reported that when Anti-Skill had arrived, one of the robbers were already knocked unconscious, and the other two remaining robbers were also found on the floor, but had extremely severe burns afflicted onto them. All three robbers are alive, and were taken to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. They will be detained later this week.'

After panning over the scene of the robbers' hideout, and the robbers being lifted onto stretchers, the broadcast ended. The hovering machine closed the projection and began float down the sidewalk and towards what Shou guessed would be a research lab or perhaps another store.

'Those burns couldn’t have been the work of Anti-Skill, and I don't remember a Judgment member that could do something to that extent,' Shou thought to himself as he walked into the grocery store. 'Besides… 'protocol' should have prevented a Judgment member from dealing that much damage to a criminal…'

Shou mechanically bought some ingredients to make a simple curry for his dinner as he thought about the broadcast that caught his attention a bit more, 'A pyrokinetic esper that could do that much damage? But, if it was a joint effort with Judgment and Anti-Skill, and the robbers were recently knocked out, who could it be?' Shou was deep in thought as he walked back to his apartment. 'Could it be that new level 5? Impossible...' Shou shrugged off the issue shortly after as he assumed thinking about the incident, especially without any evidence, would be meaningless.

"But, it better not have been a Judgment member," Shou muttered to himself while briefly wearing a complex look of scorn, sorrow, and regret.

Face still puffy and tear stained, hugging multiple farewell gifts with her arms, Fuyuko woke up to the sound of her doorbell ringing. She carefully navigated her way through the boxes on her floor and standing on her tippy toes, she looked through the peephole to see the tall man in black. Does he ever change his coat? She pondered drowsily as she undid the lock and opened the door.

"It seems you're ready now." With a small wave of his hand, two well dressed men rushed in to move the boxes. He looked over her crumpled Sakugawa middle school uniform with disapproval and shoved a paper bag into her hands. "Go put this on quickly and meet me in the car."

Fuyuko yawned.

After a couple more seconds of standing still, Fuyuko finally fully woke up and noticed the paper bag she was holding. Eh? When did this get here? Peeping into the bag, Fuyuko's jaw dropped open as she stared in disbelief. The bathroom door was closed almost as soon as it was opened, and within seconds, Fuyuko was tipping the contents of the paper bag on top of the uniform she just took off. She lifted the crest emblazoned vest and screamed with delight. When she finally got dizzy from twirling around, Fuyuko did the buttons up on the school blouse, zipped up the school skirt, slipped on the vest and struck a pose. Uwaaah, it's even custom tailored! She couldn't help but notice how the 'short' sleeves no longer reached down to her elbows.

Fuyuko messily shoved her Sakugawa uniform into the bag and after she collected her other mementos from her short 5 and a half months, she sat down at the entry way, pulled on her socks and buckled up her new shoes. Standing back up again, she turned around for one last look at her room. It was only a short while, but even so she had lots of fun here. "A new school is just a little bit scary, but Papa, don't worry! Fuyu will make lots and lots of friends again! Just you wait and see!" With a small hop, Fuyuko left the room. Turning around to face the door, she inserted the keys and twisted them, locking the door with a click.

The door suddenly slammed open. A very ladylike girl walked into the room. Her looks and beauty would be considered to be that of a 'Yamato Nadeshiko' by one, a term used to praise the unadorned, clean beauty of a Japanese woman. Her long black silky hair danced as she walked into the room. She held a traditional-looking fan in her hand, and flung it open in an instant before her roommate could speak. She is the girl aspiring to be the very best, after which she'd boast about it. She is Kongou Mitsuko. She then galiantly announced as if speaking to a crowd of people who looked forward to her entrance, "I, Kongou Mitsuko have come back from the trip! How have you been, my cute little roommate, Sana-chan?!" she then peered towards what was in her hand. Seemed like sewing materials, "Oh my, are you making a doll? How nice! I love dolls."

This is specially true due to the fact that some of the shelves beside her bed are full of dolls, albeit most are dolls of elegant looking western ladies.

Sana dropped her needle from sudden shock to the floor, due to Kongou Mitsuko's dramatic entrance into the room. Her roommate, Kongou Mitsuko, truly managed to make her heart stop beating for a moment. Does she always have to slammed the door like that when she returns to the room? Sana silently cursed the manners of her roommate. "Hello Mitsu-chan and, welcome back. I've been doing good. As you can see, I'm just working on one of my dolls now," Sana said, smiling at Mitsuko. "So Mitsu-chan how was your trip? I'm guessing everything went well?" she asked while picking up her needle from the floor.

Kongou Mitsuko has been called as 'Mitsu-chan' before by Sana before, she was nicknamed by Sana, and she doesn't know exactly understand why, though she accepeted it. Yet, she loves to be shown respect by others, but... somehow it seemed befitting when 'her cute little roommate' calls her 'Mitsu-chan'. Kongou Mitsuko then proceeded to think of a reply. The trip was a mess. She went to her home outside Academy City, but it felt rather lonely, most of her servants were gone and lived with some of her maids and that was it. Most of her servants left mostly because they weren't paid well after Kongou Mitsuko left her own home, they didn't have much work to do when their master was absent. Even doting servants can't be kept around without proper payment it seemed. Kongou Mitsuko's parents lives in a different mansion apparently. She finally drafted her reply, "Thank you, my trip... was, well," she hesitated for a moment, but decided to go with it regardless, "I-It was fine! I've went to many great places! ... And uhh, met some old friends and told them about the tales of my life in Academy City. But how should I put it, most of the people I was expecting to meet at my old home have moved away, it's a bit sad," she then sat down on her bed, flipped her fan closed, she allowed her body to fall and rest in the puffy, comfortable bed.

"I see. So what kind of places did you see by the way, Mitsu-chan? I never really had the chance to travel around the world much, since my parents were always busy with work," Sana asked after she became a bit curious.

Kongou Mitsuko was slightly taken aback by the question. She couldn't allow herself to tell Sana that she got lost while wandering about in her old hometown, "Ah, yes! Like, many places, such as that one T.V station where I had to go for a swimsuit modelling, I did do shooting there part time," this isn't exactly a lie - she used to do this in her old town, she didn't do it on her trip, however - before coming to Academy City. She apparently now has the career of being a swimsuit model in Academy City. She couldn't come up with anything else to say, as that might evaporate her pride, she'd bother to come up with more lies, but needless to say, she'd never confess until she runs out of lines to speak.

"Wow, I didn't know your a model' Sana said with a suprised tone in her voice, "Though, it must have been nice to see your friends and family again after a long school year," Sana said as she started putting away her sowing supplies.

"Ah, y-yes, it really was nice meeting them!" cold sweat ran down at the back of Kongou Mitsuko's head, she then peered across the window, "Oh my, it's this late now, I shall sleep now, good night!" she said, and prepared to change to her pajamas and went to the toilet. Of course, all this was done just to avoid any more conversations about her little trip to her old home town.

"I suppose we should head to bed as well Touma," Sana said as she gently picked up her doll rabbit and headed to her bed. "Goodnight, Mitsu-chan," Sana said, as she turn off her lamp and then went to sleep.
