"You will be providing protection for Kihara Natsu. As you know, she is one of Professor Gensei's granddaughter. We hope you consider this job with the greatest of importance."
Sadao grimaced. This was his chance to get higher on the Christmas list for the orginization, but it seemed like a rather high-risk job. Behind that had to be a big payout. Taking a moment to ponder about this, he knew that the lady on the other side was waiting for his response.
"I'll take the job. Where am I supposed to meet up with her?"
"You will be meeting her at a certain mall. Maria is on her way to pick you up from your location. You will arrive shortly before her and protect her from that point. Also, this is the Professor's request but, please take note of her behavior and how she does things, if possible."
He had seen her on a few occasions when meeting up with some contacts in the laboratories. If he remembered right she was a actress. She wouldn't be hard to find at all. This would however make his job more annoying than he would have hoped.
"Understood, I'll get ready and be ready by the time Maria gets here."
Hanging up on the call, he went to his closet and pulled a few clothes out and threw them on the bed. Then he took out his thinner bulletproof jacket to go underneath his clothes. Taking a quick shower, he combed through his hair and freshened up. Then he got dressed putting on his bulletproof vest over his undershirt but under his shirt and jacket. Hidden pockets inside both of his jean pockets housed his knives. A pair of gloves were tucked into his back pocket with his wallet in the other.
As he finished getting dressed and taking whatever tools he was taking with him his phone rang. Opening it and closing it he headed out his front door and down the flights of stairs. Maria pulled up right in front of the apartment. Sitting in front seat this time he buckled up and opened the glovebox. A gun box inside held the gun he would be using for the day. His powers could only get him so far in a situation where the opposition had fire arms.
Arriving at the mall, he tucked the gun into the inside pocket of his jacket and stepped out. Maria took off swiftly and left him to his job. Looking around he saw a rather tall woman with blonde hair approaching.
"You must be Kihara-san." he said trying to use his best manners.
"Ah... you must be, what was it again?" Natsu pondered for a moment, looking vaguely as if she entered a reverie; even putting her hand below her chin.
"Kimera." he said simply. "It is a pleasure to meet you. Shall we get going?"
"Then I shall be under your care. Let us go then," Natsu walked off towards the mall. There seemed to be heaps of people going in and out. It may have been the best time for the mall to be booming with business. It is just after school now, after all. Natsu didn't exactly hate crowds, but she doesn't like it when people accidentally bumps into her within the crowd. What baffled her was the fact there's a bodyguard with her, now of all times. This made her suspicious, did her grandfather predict that something will happen? But that could mean she needs to be very well prepared to face danger. But then there's also the possibility that she - a person who is a level 5, and a known actress at the same time - could attract quite the attention. People might even come to me for an autograph! she thought, it made her excited for a moment, ... Nah, I'm still a newbie in the entertainment industry, that can't happen, right? she shot down the possiblity.
Watching Kihara closely, something definitely was going through her mind that consumed her attention. Looking at her facial expressions, it seems she was happy for some strange reason, but what it could be escaped him. The mall was especially busy today, but luckily it seemed that either no one noticed Kihara or she wasn't as well known as he thought. Either way, it was going to make his life easier. As they approached the doors he opened it for her and followed her in after she stepped through. He had been to the mall a few times, but it was never for anything except buisness and to pick up orders. He preferred to order most of his stuff online. It helped to avoid people all together.
"Where are we off to first Kihara-san?" he asked wondering what kind of stores she shopped at. For some reason he had the image in his head of carrying a ton of bags.
"To the cloths section, of course. Except that we entered on this side so... the shops selling women's wears are on the other side it seems, at least that's what I remember from my previous visit to this mall," Natsu started walking. Her pacing was quite fast, as a person who is tall and charismatic, her walking is even that of a model's. This somehow attracted some attention, prying eyes peering over towards Natsu, she then looked back towards Kimera, her bodyguard for a moment, with a matter-of-fact-smile, "You might need to carry a ton of bags, by the way."
Sighing as silently as he could, he scratched the back of his head. "That won't be a problem. I planned on it," he said, sulking a little bit. She seemed like the person that had no trouble using others, but that wasn't a bad thing. It was better than her wanting to do everything herself and making it hard on him. But her air of confidence was arousing the type of attention he was hoping that she would avoid. So far however, it seemed that they weren't about to start rushing to her like a bunch of maniacs. They were harmless people, but it made it easy for more dangerous people to get closer to her.
Walking to the women's section of the mall, his senses were assaulted by the smell of perfume and lotions. Advertisements for sales and promotions were hung up on banners and storefronts. As well as the groups of people handing out free samples and flyers of products.
Natsu's eyes sparkled. She was truly excited to try out different dresses and accessories. She tried walking into one of the stores that put up seemingly expensive cloths. As soon as she did, though, an announcement went past her mind, specifically saying that there is a suspected terrorist activity going on in the mall, and that people should evacuate. This was most likely the work of a Telepath type Esper, likely a member of Judgement.
This annoyed her to no end, as her excitement fell apart, all crashing down to smithereens. A rather contorted look on her face, changed to that of a cryptic smile, "Now that's... annoying." Natsu walked out of the shop, from which people started to rush out.
Taking out his gun he switched off the safety and knocked back the clip. Of course this has to happen today of all days, he thought to himself. "Come, we need to get you to safety," said Sadao looking around for an escape route. If they could get into the back areas it would be easy to leave the mall from there.
"Nope, we're going after the terrorists, Kimera-san," Natsu said, her smile not cryptic, but it showed her amazing length of confidence.
Sadao smacked his forehead hard enough that it was easily audible.
Natsu scratched the back of her head from seeing him do that, "W-Well, if you feel like that's too much work load, you may leave me. It's not like a bunch of terrorists can take me down, anyway."
"Nope, you're the birthday girl today. Not like I can stop you by force, anyway. The least I can do is cover you, I'm not taking the heat from the family for this though," he answered following behind her.
Natsu smiled, it was a rather earnest smile, "Birthday girl? What's that supposed to mean?", she shook her head for a bit, then striding off to the inner parts of the mall.
