((This is a joint post between:
Cinia Pacifica. Katsucha, BlinkXPoke, and TheLoneGentleman. Note: Okay, we had like one or two dice rolls, but I'm being extremly lazy to type that out, but on Natsu's little explosion there was a roll to check how destructive the blast would be.))
Sadao was surprised, even under such circumstances Natsu was still able to keep her confidence. Even strong people crack under pressure, but nothing had changed about her. It was something that some people strive for their whole lives. The scene in the mall was chaotic, with people fleeing in all directions to get away from the imminent danger. The two of them however were headed into the middle of the chaos and panic. Heading straight in was never Sadao's style, but Natsu made him feel like there was nothing to worry about. Checking his gun over again just to make sure it'd work if needed, he matched Natsu's pace.
"Kihara-san, do you know where they are coming from? Or are we just heading for the eye of the storm, hoping for the best?" asked Sadao trying to get a grasp on the situation. This probably sounded weird coming from the one who was supposed to be guarding, but the way she was acting made it seem like she knew exactly what she was doing.
"Ah... give me a second, let me check something first," Natsu then closed her eyes, as if to feel something. After around half a minute, she opened her eyes again,
"Oh? Interesting. There's quite a lot of people underground right now. Even though most of the people are out by now," that was most likely the 'eye of the storm'. Natsu also held the ability to read heat signatures with her eyes closed. Although she felt that such a skill would most likely not come in handy; it did regardless.
"Alright, Kimera, we're going to the underground section."
Natsu then looked around for the stairs, upon noticing it, she strolled her away towards it.
Reaching into his back pocket, he pulled his gloves out and slipped them on. Holding the gun in his right hand, and pulling one of his blades from his pocket he took the tactical position he was taught. Bringing up his hand armed with the blade, he rested the gun on his forearm. Dashing in front of Natsu he took point.
"Think you can create a distraction? I'd rather do this cleanly." he suggested. The less work they had to do the better. They would be ready to take on more trouble should it arise.
"Hmm, even if you say that, I don't think you need to do anything at all... " she took a moment to clear her throat,
"I mean, they'd be turned to ash with the distracted itself," as Natsu said so, loud sounds of gunshots resounded across the lower section of the mall. It seemed that Anti-skill took the liberty to face them first,
"So, the party had already begun, shall we join it too?"
Sadao laughed in pure amazement. Everything he had ever been taught had told him to be careful, and be safe. But in front of him was a girl who betrayed it all. And to top it all off, if she got hurt it would be his ass on the line.
"Fine, just don't roast me while you are taking care of those guys," he said as he headed down the stairs. The two had to run for some time, after which they reached the battlefield. If one had to describe it, it'd be 'raining bullets' thats exactly how it sounded anyway. As Sadao entered the battlefield he spotted his way in behind some flipped tables. Diving in he sneaks up behind a terrorist out of formation, and getting ready to choke the man to the ground before slashing his throat.
Unlike her bodyguard Sadao, though, Natsu didn't cower in fear enough to do anything like hiding behind layers of table. It seemed like the terrorists were preoccupied with the attacks from Anti-skill. Anti-skill had many armored men in line, along with bots providing additional protection; they created a defense line altogether. On the other hand, the terrorists had something like a barricade set up towards the Anti-skill. They seemed rash and used all sorts of dangerous weaponry, ranging from machine guns to destructive items like granades.
A smile cracked on Natsu's face.
Let's heat this party up, shall we?", Natsu raised her hand towards the terrorists. There was a whole line of adults, none seemed like ordinary citizens. They were armored and armed just like any other military members. Natsu realized their identity. They were members of BLOCK. However, even though she knew this, there was no mercy in her, for them. It seemed that the members of BLOCK didn't realized her presence. She continued to concentrate her power, making a simple equation in her mind. Her AIM already spread across the room, and they were combustible only to her. This is a special trait she possessed. She lit her AIM with her fiery power, around the center of members of the line of troops, and waited for it to overload; hence explode.
Boom, there was an explosion. It wasn't huge, but it was lethal. Anti-skill members came to a halt. They didn't know what the hell just happened. The middle of BLOCK's defense line was literally black in ash.
Taking cover from the shrapnel, he slowly stood up to assess the damage.
"You really went all out didn't you?" he said, seeing the difference that was made in the battlefield. Even enemies that weren't hit would have to deal with it fast, their comrades were just baked right in front of them. He didn't even know where to go from there. Even though the terrorists at this point would be easy targets, it didn't feel right somehow.
"So what do you plan on doing now, Kihara-san?" he asked wondering if they were going to continue this one-sided massacre.
Before Natsu took the liberty to reply to Sadao, one of those who were frozen in fear due to Natsu's attack; a terrorist, screamed, "YOU BITCH!" he yelled, and threw a grenade towards her. Natsu was left unfazed. Her eyes carefully analyzed the object thrown towards her in the small instant in which it came landing in front of her. Her eyes slightly widened,
Uhh... it's that thing, right? Which explodes after some time when in use? Tch, that's rather annoying to cover against," her thoughts were conveyed as feelings in a second, she merely saw the grenade as more of a chore on her to-do list.
The second explosion, an extremely loud, ear-deafening blast of sound and air was expected. Almost everyone closed their eyes due to the flash of light, some were even running away or taking cover for safety. But nothing happened. There was no sound. Some shakingly opened their eyes slowly. Natsu's hand held a small, fiery ball of light under her palms.
This is the difference between us and the level 5's eh? Sadao, for sure, was jealous of that power, but his expression didn't show it. He'd gain such power through hard work or most likely die in his attempt. The ball she held in her hand was the grenade that the man had thrown, blast itself was controlled, and contained in her palm, before it could spread out to deal damage. It was a terrifying display of just what she was capable of. It was then that Sadao understood why he recieved those strange orders. They wanted him to see just what she was made of.
"Oh dear, what's wrong? Why the face, gentlemen?" Natsu smiled, the looks of fear on the faces of the members of BLOCK intensified, she was clearly mocking them, she smile made it all the more obvious. They didn't know if they should continue or ran away, but even if they tried to run, Anti-skill was there on the other side. They thought they could run on the other direction initially, but that's where Natsu stood now.
"Don't give me that look now. Here, I'm giving you people back your expensive looking, shiny gift," Natsu seemed like one of those ballers playing cricket, her face lit with excitement, as she threw the ball of fire back at the members of BLOCK. The 'expected' second explosion finally took place, and the ear-cracking noise too, occured.
I guess that's pretty much their main force wiped out. Their might be some sneaky rats around though... well, that's none of my concern. Judgement and Anti-skill can take care of the rest now.
"Then we are done here. I think we had made ourselves stick out enough anyways. You're like a damn firework, I couldn't take you anywhere," he said laughing. It was one of the few moments he could take the time to joke around on the job. Natsu replied with
"Heh, I aim to please." Any other time and that would have gotten Sadao killed. Following Natsu back up the stairs they made their way back to the upper floors of the mall. It was completely empty and unnatural for a mall. They simply decided to take their leave. Sadao grabbing a quick snack from a food shop.

Upon getting back to the upper-section once again; Sana's face literally moved from left to right, scanning the environment to see if Tamaki is around the scene. From the distance, she could see that most of the people were by the exit, trying to get out. There were members of Judgement trying to calm the people down as they swiftly directed them towards the exit. Sana examined if any of them could possibly be her little sister, Tamaki, but she couldn't really get a good look at them due to the crowd. "It's probably a better idea to head to the second floor and see if we can get a better view, don't you think Touma?" Sana then headed to the second floor in search of Tamaki.
While on the other hand, Tamaki was given the task to pursue any suspicious looking people. The priority being to see if anyone was carrying anything dangerous, if one did; they'd most likely be a suspect. Of course, she was not alone. With her stood a cute looking girl with blond hair; tied in two pigtails. She was slightly taller than Tamaki, seemingly an elementary school student, with even a childish red backpack to top it off, her name was Kihara Nayuta. As they were scurrying around to find suspicious people. They came upon an older girl, carrying out a stuffed rabbit doll. It was Tamaki's older sister, Minase Sana.
Upon arriving at the second floor, Sana walked towards what she believed would be a good spot to look for Tamaki. While walking, two young girls entered Sana's range of view, upon seeing them, she recognize Tamaki among the two.
"Tama-chan!" she called out with pure exicement while running at full speed towards her little sister, hugging her, and rubbing her cheek against her's.
Tamaki's face was riddled with sudden confusion and disbelief as her head wobbled.
"W-Where did you come from, Onee-chan?!" was her instant response.
"That can't be all you have to say to your Onee-chan who you haven't seen in a whole month is it, my cute little Tama-chan?! I missed you so much!! I just don't want to let you go!!" Sana let an outburst of her feelings, while still rubbing her cheek against Tamaki's and then giving her a kiss there as well.
Tamaki forcefully shaked off her cheek-rubbing sister, so as to stop herself from getting lost in comfort,
"Of course not! But I'm in a middle of a mission here, we're having large scale operation to arrest terrorists here! Please evacuate to safety, Onee-chan! I have to look for criminals in disguise along with my friend here."
After Tamaki had pushed her away, Sana felt a bit sad, but then quickly made sure to maintain her composure,
"I'm sorry about that, I just couldn't help myself. But I can't just let you and your friend here be here by yourselves! Do you think I can leave you here knowing there are terrorists around?! "
"Tch, I knew that Onee-chan would say something like this. This is why I always pray that I wouldn't run into you while at work!" Tamaki let that thought out aloud,
"But it seems like there's no more need for any of that. The operation just ended. We got news that the terrorists just got captured."
Upon hearing what Tamaki said, Sana felt like she got stabbed in the heart.
"I see. Then I shall take my leave now," Sana said with distraught face. Sana turned around and slowly started walking away.
Tamaki panicked, she didn't think that her words would hurt her elder sister this much, Kihara Nayuta whispered in her ears, "You might wanna stop her~", she was right. Tamaki's eyes rolled as if she was dizzy from all the melodrama. She hurriedly ran to the sister and hugged her.
"Alright I'm sorry for saying those mean things! But it's just that you're overprotective when it comes to me, is all! It doesn't mean that I hate you or anything! Now that the whole thing is over, we can just... uhh, relax and hit up a cafe or something! R-Right Nayuta-senpai?!"
"A-Ah, yes... " she replied with a forced smile, she didn't think Tamaki would drag her in on the emotional coaster ride, which was their drama.
Sana couldn't help but feel joy once she heard Tamaki's words. She then turned around to hug her sister
"That would be wonderful, Tama-chan. Oh, but where are my manners, I sorta completely forgot about your friend there. My name is Minase Sana, Tamaki's older sister," Sana said as she bow to apologize to Nayuta.
"Ah, that's okay, I am a member of Judgement, working on branch 49, my name is Kihara Nayuta, pleased to meet ya!" Nayuta said, smiling.
Tamaki sighed,
Thankfully, I got to calm her down, at least...

From Jun's perspective of the mall, he only saw five men.
"I must have reached the rear exit of the building..." He had expected to see large crowds of people evacuating the mall, in a panic, no less. They seemed calm, considering the situation, until they noticed a girl walking up to them, donning Judgment's armband. She, too, looked relatively calm, even as those men, who now looked flustered, drew their weapons against her.
"This isn't gonna end well..." Jun considered both jumping into the conflict to try to save her, or retreating to finding help.
Neither was neccessary. It happened too quickly for Jun to comprehend. The girl had dashed forward, and a sudden gust of wind and a small tornado had appeared to knock the men unconscious immediately.
"She's an Aero Hand user, too!?" Jun thought out loud in disbelief. It was incredible. He moved forward to find a closer angle, mumbling
"Yeah, I'm not going to get a better chance than this!" In his excitement, Jun ran too far and crashed into the girl, toppling both himself and her to the ground. It was a strangely soft landing, though. His head landed on some kind of firm, pillowy mound, that was accompanied by an indescribably pleasant smell. It was somehow relaxing; he could stay like this for a while.
Ayane put her hand slowly behind the youth's head. Confused from the sudden impact, her mind suddenly remembered the status of the area. Hurriedly thinking that this may be an attack. She hurriedly grabbed her the hair of the boy, pulling up his face for her to see, then touched his cheek with her other hand, gently brushing him away with a small gust of wind.
"This is Judgement. Identity yourself!"
"Ow, ow! Oof! Geez... Easy with the hair-pulling!" Jun spent a moment to compose himself before answering her order. Her powerful tone of voice caused him to keep his hands over his head to let her know he wasn't up to anything bad.
"I'm just a student! My name is Shimizu Junichi. I'm sorry for running into you... I was curious when I saw your esper ability. It was the same as mine..." He averted his eyes. This was a rather silly reason to knock over a Judgement member.
"I wanted to get a closer look, but I guess I got too close..." Jun tried to laugh it off.
"Oh... you sure have no sense of shame, getting close like that, jeez!" Ayane seemed to be slightly flustered as she replied, trying to maintain her calmness. She then tried to compose herself and, then analyzed his words properly,
"Wait, my ability is the same as yours?" Ayane folded her arms right below her chest, it seemed that her calm and serene expression came back to her face.
Jun was amused by her reaction. It was kind of cute.
"Haha, sorry 'bout that!" Now slightly more relaxed, he put his hands back down on his legs. Her reaction didn't last long, and her demeanor changed again when she asked another question.
"Uhhh, yeah, sort of. Creating gusts of wind and such, I can do the same thing... sometimes..." He averted his eyes again.
"I... can't actually control my power, though... I'm a Level 0..."
"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that. I started out as a level 2 Aero Hand user. So I have no idea how terrible it must feel to be unable to control your powers at all. But it's not like you're completely powerless like most of the other level 0's out there, right? You'll get a hand over your power, eventually... well, hopefully," and that's where Ayane remembered that hardwork doesn't always equals talent. Her attempts to reach level 5 resulting in failure taught that, she had a sudden displeased look on her face, which she tried to keep under the surface of her expression.
Her words stung a bit. While it was admirable of her to become as powerful as she is when starting as a level 2, it still didn't comfort Jun that after all these years, he's never even had any abilities, and he still has no control over the ability he attained.
"I suppose, but it's hard... I've been practicing, trying to acheive some level of control, but I can never get the hang of it. Who knows if I'll ever pull it off..." Jun clicked his teeth. The disappointment he's relived several times has returned, leaving him bitter with himself once again. He looked up to her, and noticed a similar expression on her face.
"She must have faced her share of disappointment, as well. Someone has high expectations of her, too, I bet."
After a moment of silence, Jun asked a question.
"Oh, by the way, what was your name?"
"Are you sure you've not been feeling oppressed by the level of strength the stronger espers have? That can usually kill one's confidence, and they subconsiously think there's a wall between them and the higher level espers, this makes it hard for them to get stronger... though, all I can really say is, good luck! I've also felt similar disappointment, so I can't say much to console you," Ayane looked down, and then came another question, this reminded her that the boy had indeed introduced himself, but she already forgot the name, in fact, her brain didn't process every bits of his sentences, perhaps this is the result of a situation where a kid suddenly decides to bump into her like that,
"Ah, umm, my name is Shirayuki Ayane. Pleased to meet you... what was your name, again?" she scratched the back of her head as she questioned him, trying to still remember all his words. A transmission came right after that, saying that the operation is over.
I knew it. Everything she said is exactly how Jun felt. He found someone who understands his pain and chuckled after realizing this.
"Maybe I am. Maybe I'm just putting on unneccessary barriers for myself. Thanks, I appreciate the motivation." Jun stood up and faced her, bowing his head in gratitude.
"Oh, come on! I just told you earlier!" He scolded her in a joking manner.
"My name is Shimizu Junichi. It's so nice to meet you, Shirayuki Ayane!"
"Maybe you should watch members of Skill-out, it gave me confidence before!" Ayane bothered to say that heartless line, she just realized of it after she said so, but she had no choice but to go with it.
"Though, I did gain two levels through out training, so maybe you'll get stronger in the future too!" she gave her last shot at increasing his motivation, but then got scolded for not remembering his name.
"Ah, sorry, I tend to be clumsy like that," she stuck out her tongue so as to show a side of her clumsiness, her gem-like violet eyes says otherwise about this type of particular side of her. She then announed,
"Oh, the terrorists got caught it seems, the operation is over."
"Terrorists!? Damn, what was I getting myself into..." Jun turned his head toward the mall, wondering what had happened. "Anyways, I guess that means you oughta be going now, don't you?" It was a little saddening to part ways with Ayane. He felt that he had a lot in common with her.
"Oh wait, before you go...!" Jun asked her for her contact information before they departed. After exchanging their numbers and email addresses, they went their seperate ways.
