I welcome you all - viewers and possible participants - to my next Role-play (RP), the Zombie Apocalypse Role-Play. I've long been debating whether I should make an RP at all. I was patiently waiting while continuing my other activities for an RP to be made by someone else. I didn't feel even the slightest of disappointment when none did; since I know of the rate of activity in this forum and the decreasing popularity of RPs. So, I felt like RPing on Fakku, and the only way left was to be a GM once again, hence making a new RP by myself. I am not very experienced with hosting this type of an RP, so please bear with me. I hope we all have fun, but while it is for the sake of fun - please do not forget the rules and etiquette of RPing, if you need help; I'm here for you... however, lately I've been more lazy than usual, and life got a bit more busier, I'd prefer people with experience to join or inexperienced players in the RP to be more attentive to the information provided (along with the RP guide linked in the rules section below) and not make any type of a bad mistake.

Every RPs have a set of rules of their own, to make sure that everything goes the way they should. This section obviously excludes the etiquette deal because that one is a must in every RP and hence is like an unspoken rule.
Anyway, here are the rules of this RP:
1.) If you're not used to RPing or don't know how to RP, please read the RP Guide. Please make sure to play fair and in proper manner. Make sure that you don't munch. Also, regardless of the statistics of your character; don't do something that is completely something that your character usually wouldn't do, remember to take in consideration who your character is and that character's personality every time you post.
2.) Please use the OOC speak, comment or ask about something while not in-character. Also, please keep your posts clean, this includes you having to write proper, add punctuations, etc. Don't quote other users in this thread, especially in your RP posts. And if you have anything to ask, please send me a Private Message (PM). If you post pictures to maybe show what move your Original Character (OC) makes, or show a picture of a weapon, person, or anything, spoiler it please.
3.) All of the RP posts are to be in first-person writing format (for more information about narrative writing, look here) Also, you're not allowed to control whichever important NPCs you may create; this is to ensure that you don't use these characters in an unfair manner. As such, I'll be controlling such characters... and besides, NPC stands for Non-playable characters anyway. But if you are to use unimportant NPCs who are only used for certain situations and soon disregarded without being used much, they may be in your care.
4.) This is an important rule, so please be attentive. There is a deadline of one day for posting, every single day after the RP starts, this means that you have to post everyday in the RP after it starts. Unless something so dear that doesn't happen all the time everyday happens in your life that makes you so busy or out-of-reach from the internet, you won't be allowed to not post in a day as long as your character can do something (you have to inform me beforehand about your situation IRL that may prevent you from posting), even just sitting and wondering and watching what others doing works in this case. Or else you'll be kicked out. If you're a really good RPer that I want in this RP, I can make exceptions like a two-day limit.
Please make sure that you're following the rules properly, and don't screw up too many times, I don't want to tell you off. But if I have to; I will. Also, please try not to post at all if you're not posting a profile (if before the start) or an actual RP posts (if after it started). Type of weapon: A long broad sword (couldn't find a pic for this, and yes, I love melee weapons, even in zombie apocalypse). Hilda is a sword-user in heart.
Personality: Haughty, supercilious and prideful. She has an excessive habit on looking down on others, this is a problem with few aristocrats who finds themselves as the most superior, some may think of it as vainglory, but then again, most doesn't know much regarding her life.
Background: Hilda is an aristocrat known to be born in France. It is known that her first name - Hilda, a German name came from her mother who herself was assumed to be a German lady, most likely given to her by herself, her father was always known to be a French noble, a Count, apparently - both are apparently from wealthy families with long bloodlines whose tales of glory are long forgotten - more so, only old tales which would provide not much respect to them for - when asked why her name is like that; this is the only explanation that is provided.
Hilda is often traveling around countries, the untold reason for this only kept her relatives in state of curiosity, a more deeper mystery unfolded when a rumor around her home city, Paris was heard of; her parents doesn't exist, and people assumed this is why they weren't allowed into her mansion.
However, Hilda drank not a care to the world, she had the tenacity to ignore even her fellow heirs of other nobles... likewise, they weren't respected much in this world anymore, but they were known, that was certain. They simply all continued to live lives in extravagant household designs.
Hilda's life took a turn for the change after she went to Fakku City, four years before 2050. Students thought she was a type of an occultist with her black parasol. She was always regarded as the 'high-class goth loli' in her class and were sometimes laughed at; until the deadly gaze washed over her classmates. She was a walking mystery to all, a mysterious air was carried by her all the time. And she barely ever spoke to people.

Her parents already died in an accident, and was then taken care of by her grand father, who was quite strict on her, and had her study very hard.
Ayane who stayed in Japan with him was later sent to Fakku City to attend a high school, she soon met Hilda. After the zombie outbreak, the information she heard from her old man himself about the experiment allowed her to place the pieces of the puzzle in her mind and she decided to board the ship as soon as possible, more for the sake of confronting the old man rather than just saving her life.

Background: Satoru grew up with a pretty normal life, he played baseball for his highschool team in Japan and was decent with the ladies. His father owned a dojo and every day when he got up since he was 12 he practiced fighting with bamboo swords or katana. In high school he challenged a rivaling student to a match, with real katanas. He was scarred on his left eye and is partially blind in it. Shortly after his father passed away. After high school, instead of going to college, Satoru reopened his father's Dojo, in Fakku City. His Dojo; his fathers legacy, wasn't doing so well. He wasn't a great teacher, he wasn't his father. Satoru ended up selling the Dojo and selling drugs on the street.
Every day Satoru hated himself for what he did, but he convinced people to buy his drugs. He bought food with his drug money. Personality: Careful, Calm, and Remorseless. Is disgusted by people who support useless causes. It is easier to sever the weak link than be held back by it.
Background: Kris was trained in the Fakku City special operations unit. It was a branch of the Fakku City Police Department that would be called upon in times of crisis. Such as a hostage situation or such that required a touch of stealth or cunning to handle. The training sharped his wits and combat skills but left little time for a life. But still his family was always on his mind. When he told his mom he was selected for the program she pushed him to go. She supported him through most things and seeing him succeed filled her with joy.
With her behind him he drove himself to become one of the top candidates in the program. With his skills honed to and edge he was an easy choice to join the first team. He was granted the title of Second in Command: CQC expert. His tools were tailored to stealth, and he was very effective in training. But the time had finally come for their first mission. It was supposed to be a walk in the park but that's how those tragedies always go.
An armed bank robbery to test their skills. Three people had already been killed so the kid gloves were off. As another member of his squad cut the power Kris slipped in and used his wire to tear down and slit the throat of one of the targets. Afterwards he threw away the wire. He was the most important since he was closest the hostages. The other two men were taken down by silenced gun fire from the air ducts in the confusion. A clean job but something wasn't right. There were a lot more than three civilians killed. Suddenly the bodies began to stir as the rest of his team dropped down to the bank floor.

Personality: Quiet, calm, and open. She is very open about herself, her feelings, and her knowledge.
Background: For as long as Kahori can remember, she has always been inside of the Library. She has rarely ventured beyond the doors of the Library located in Fakku City. When she had gone into the city to get food, she was fascinated with everyone around her. She would walk up to random people and just start chatting away with them, even if in a quiet voice.
With the advent of technology making books obsolete, she found herself alone in the vast expanses of the Library. Due to that, her senses have heightened a bit because of the absolute quite in the Library. She has read nearly every book in the Library, making her very intelligible about most matters. Though, she does have a habit of eating the pages she reads, literally ingesting the knowledge of the book.
She found a pistol in one of the librarians desk drawers when she was exploring the Library on of the numerous days she was alone. She didn't know what it was, and so she started researching it, eating the pages as she went. She knows how to fire it, even though she's never actually used it, but her aim could be better.

Personality: Calm, weird.
Background: An orphan who grew up in the slum of Bonn city, German. Her harsh life since childhood made her closed all her feelings and did everything neccessary to survive. She never dreamt for anything... until at age of 14, she met up with a French couple who became her adopt parents, the Calminas.
For once, she opened her heart and embraced happiness, something she never felt before. Sadly, it was only for a short moment. 3 years later, her parents died in a car accident, and Sophia was left all alone again. Frustrated, she used all her money to travel all around the world. During this time, she was recruited by a criminal syndicate, Aeons. She received her prized weapon, Reinforced H.F Katana, SILVANUS, at this time. However, 1 year ago, she left to Fakku City as a part of her quest to search for 'something'.
In Fakku City, Sophia stayed at a small church by name St. Arlynia Church, run by an ex-member of the syndicate. Granted, she does horribly on her duty as a trained nun there, especially with her weird attitudes. Luckily, the head priest is cared for her greatly, so she can stays in the Church. The head priest and most members of the Church are currently out of the city when Sophia faces another hellish event that may changes her life again.

Granted, she does horribly on her duty as a trained nun there, especially with her weird attitudes. Luckily, the head priest is cared for her greatly, so she can stays in the Church. The head priest and most members of the Church are currently out of the city when Sophia faces another hellish event that may changes her life again.

He was an only child and lived with his parents who both worked hard to put a roof over him and get him in school. Cliff excelled in academics and by the end of high school, his work had paid off; he was offered a chance to go to a university, but only under the condition that he would work for a science facility in Fakku City as an intern. He agreed.
He enjoyed learning no matter what it was about, but the science facility required him to have knowledge in both engineering and chemistry, so he majored in both. After many years of studying and research he was able to obtain Master Degrees in both fields by the age of 29, however around the same time, his mother died and several months after his father died. The signs were there, both of them were overworked and the living condition of Fakku City weren't ideal. At the facility, as an intern, Cliff simply helped the other engineers and scientists prepare solutions or make basic components, he never really saw any of the end products as the things he made were transferred to either another room or facility. After Cliff finished his degrees, he decided to work at the facility full time to pay for living costs.

Even after 2 years spending his time on fakku city, he didn't have a friend. He spends his time alone inside his apartment and sometimes goes out just to get something to eat or going to the race arena looking at the races. He just doesn't know how to start a conversation, but if once people know him, he's a pretty nice guy to talk to.

The sky was tinted black; with the absence of the moon - the clouds didn't leave behind any shadows on the circular island that the Fakku City was on top of a gigantic city in a large, artificially created island - close to Japan. The weather seemed just about normal, nothing unusual, as usual. The city bustled with traffic, lights and people - as always - as the night had only just begun as the clock was just about to hit it's next mark; 8 'o' clock. In this month of June - exams here only about to be held in schools, which are mostly in Section D, and in this Sunday, 12th; lives of people were to either take leave - or fight for what's precious to them and flee. A breeze of wind brushed past the buildings and somewhat scarce trees causing a rustling whisper to be carried over by the air.
Everything was normal, music from party clubs afar reverberated around the city, traffics driving around could be heard commonly almost everywhere, people walked around all over, either going home from work or going out for their workplaces. In this time and age, work can be at almost any time, be it day or night. However, this excludes school, college or university, unless special courses are in question.
Suddenly, screams mixed with growls could be heard; from a facility which is a place where many weren't around, even in the streets; on Section D's down-left corner. A place deemed perfect for experimental projects where people usually heading to work or going home from work walks the road. Soon, an explosion resounds the metallic surroundings and the solid walls of the many buildings and surroundings - every objects shook at the strong wave from the outburst, people around the place jerked up in surprise and panic. Pure black-skinned humanoid shaped creatures walked from the debris, their face - seemingly writhing in pain, groaning, walking out; almost as if limping. Every pedestrians witnessing these vile beings rushing up to them in a somewhat dash - still limping - not exactly fast, but enough to catch the bewildered human beings.
Their physical strength was beyond average - it may not seem like they can bite you, beat, kill, catch, or anything to the people, but they actually can, their bites can easily tear down the very flesh of people and then they devour them... at least that's what was noted from the quick reports from the survivors after most of the pedestrians were mauled alive. Soon after, the security cameras outside the science facility's fences proved the reports to be true to the authorities. Jacob immediately thought about how to get cater for the safety of the citizens.
By this time, thirty minutes have passed; zombies have spread throughout this humongous city, in a somewhat slow yet steady pace. However, the speed of the news spreading around is faster then them. Due to people being skeptical about this situation and taking it as a joke; at least hundreds got bitten to death. An eerie air of distrust hung over the city. The news channels, loud speakers and even some websites regarding the Fakku City clearly announced:
All civilians are to immediately evacuate to either the harbor on Section H or the airport on Section A, as quickly as possible. The civilians will then be transported to a safe city on Japan.
This map is usually shown in the news (except that it's more realistic in actuality), the harbor comes after the bridge in the west; residing over a tiny island, also artificially created. What lies above the bridge is the airport. It should be noted that most of the air planes have already been booked somehow and many may not be able to board it. If one is late at least by an hour, they should think not of going to the airport, but the harbor instead.
It was also mentioned that the zombies have mostly appeared from Section D, at the lower-left corner of the city from a research facility, and some of them went out of those specific sections while such news were spreading, so far. But it is estimated that they may reach the bridge really, really soon at the rate they've spread in just thirty minutes. But even after that; this is the only solution provided so far. Although, the military forces is apparently putting up a line on the road before the bridge to prevent the zombies from getting to the evacuating locations.
Now... the race to safety and shelter begins.

Background: Iteyui lived a decent life. Her mother - who worked 20 hours a day to feed the family, and her father, a headhunter who's not making any progress, is on bad terms since she had known. Since 9, she'd been to many combat training sessions, twice a week, essentially on concentration, and focusing on the intent to kill, which she feels 'is the start of all battle'. She was studying at the Sullsworth High in Fakku City, taking flute for her extra-curricular. Her parents divorced at 15, and after that she's been living with her father.
During her school years Iteyui has found only one friend - obviously her best, even though they do not spend time together. She has been alone, all the time in school. A mysterious aura reverberates around body as if vibrating the air, wherever she goes. As such, she has learnt not to trust anyone but herself, and her friend, which she holds precious. She likes being told to do things, and often looks into requests too much. She and her friend separated soon after at 14, when they switched schools. Since then, she has been riding solo on the ride of her life.
Her choice of battle equipment, the Revolver Gunblade, is a family heirloom, passed down from the 21st century from her father. Background: Iteyui lived a decent life. Her mother - who worked 20 hours a day to feed the family, and her father, a headhunter who's not making any progress, is on bad terms since she had known. Since 9, she'd been to many combat training sessions, twice a week, essentially on concentration, and focusing on the intent to kill, which she feels 'is the start of all battle'. She was studying at the Sullsworth High in Fakku City, taking flute for her extra-curricular. Her parents divorced at 15, and after that she's been living with her father.
During her school years Iteyui has found only one friend - obviously her best, even though they do not spend time together. She has been alone, all the time in school. A mysterious aura reverberates around body as if vibrating the air, wherever she goes. As such, she has learnt not to trust anyone but herself, and her friend, which she holds precious. She likes being told to do things, and often looks into requests too much. She and her friend separated soon after at 14, when they switched schools. Since then, she has been riding solo on the ride of her life.
Her choice of battle equipment, the Revolver Gunblade, is a family heirloom, passed down from the 21st century from her father. It is capable of holding 6 .38 revolver rounds, and Iteyui carries a few more extra, and also features a 15 inch blade made of high-carbon surgical steel, making it strong but easy to break.

I'm sprawled out on the couch in front of the TV. A humble life. A nice little apartment. What more could I want?
Today is different. I'm not sure why. I guess for once I just don't feel like watching Gundam. I hit the power button on the DVD player and the TV screen goes black. Fiddling around with the remote, I eventually see the news channel pop up on the screen. Before I even have time to think, I'm blasted with a news reporter shouting about something.
I can't believe my eyes.
I know exactly what I'm looking at, but I just can't believe it's true.
Zombies.
Like in Resident Evil or something! They're eating people, causing chaos and death and everything! This is too great, I knew all those years of playing zombie video games with my brother would pay off.
Wait... my brother... I'd better give him a call.... but first....
I walk over to my bed-side table, and pick up my baby; my custom Samurai Edge pistol.
I also grab a backpack, drop a few small boxes of pistol ammo inside, and strap my holster to my thigh.
Slipping the Samurai Edge into the holster and swinging the backpack around my arm, I pick up my cellphone and dial my brother's number.

I am here. On my bed. I have my katana, will I actually have the guts to do it? I place the tip of the blade against my chest, the cold steel feels so unreal; I'm caught up in a cloud. I haven't done anything since my father died, besides hurt people. I tried to be great like him and open his dojo, but I'm a failure. I had to sell drugs to people to live. I'm a failure. I'm a failure. I begin to press the blade into my torso as my T.V. turns on; an emergency broadcast. There are... things, that they are calling zombies... I don't know anything about life. I'm a failure.
If these... things... are out there, maybe, just maybe I can help someone, and my life will have meaning. I pull the tip of my blade away from my chest. Putting the sheath on my belt as my dad taught me, I feel like crying. I look around my apartment for anything that I need to take with me, to help people. I find my old school backpack, dump out all of the books and fill it with everything from my medicine cabinet; band-aids, gauze, disinfectants, and sterile tape. I think to grab my motorbike keys; but it's impounded. I put a lighter and some leftovers and water from my fridge in the backpack, about enough for 3 meals. My cell phone is out of battery, so I leave it on my desk. My wallet is in my suit pocket.

I'm taking out my small backpack, stuffing in some of my white clothes and underwears, identification papers, two bottles of water, and the photo of my deceased parents. Then I take out my prized weapon, Reinforced High Frequency Katana, SILVANUS, from behind my drawer. I'd prefer to bring a handgun or throwing knives in this kind of situation, but I don't have any of them at the moment.
"... This could be fun...", as I mumbling to myself while walking toward the Church's main door, backpack on my back and SILVANUS on my left hand. In the praying hall, I stopped a bit. Should I take the Church's donation money? I mean, zombie doesn't need them and I doubt there're people foolish enough to seek shelter inside this small church while they should be run into safety now. After a short moment, I decide not to take them. I doubt I will really need them, anyways.

Assignments. Assignments everywhere. I suppose that's one of the downsides of studying in med school. Sure, Fakku Medical was pretty renowned, but for good reason. The fact that I got in, with my partial deafness no less, is a pretty big feat. At least, I consider that.
However, classes are still classes, and here I am now, alone in my apartment, with the TV playing in the background at a low volume, trying to finish this thesis. I don't know whether I'm having trouble with it, or I just want some kind of legitimate distraction; something to get me out of doing this without being considered procrastination.
As if on cue, the TV answered my call... though it may have been a curse in the guise of a blessing...
"... major outbreak in Fakk... citizens are adv... evacuate... mediately..."
I quickly grabbed the remote and turned up the volume. My eyes widened as I saw the report repeat.
Zombies. Actual, freaking zombies. Right here on the island. And now we're all being told to evacuate to either the harbour or airport.
... both of which were on the opposite side of the city from where I was.
"Well fuck."
I had to act quickly. I grabbed my empty backpack and filled it with only the bare necessities: food, water and a flashlight. I could improvise with other things later. I also took that hand signals flyer, in case I wanted to communicate with others easily and quietly.
Before I head out, though, I look over to the wall above my TV set. Above it was a shotgun; a Super X Pump Black Shadow, to be exact. I only really bought it as a trophy, since it reminded me of all those classic shooter games I loved. I'd never even fired it before. It works, though, so I brought it down hesitantly. I really never thought I'd have to use this...
With backpack and gun in hand, I run down the stairs. There was a parking garage next to the complex where I lived, so I hoped to find a suitable means of transportation-

Just before I got out, my cellphone rang. I stopped to bring it out of my pocket to see who was calling at a time like this.
The caller ID read: Zaku
"Shit, it's Zaku! Fuck, I hope he's alright... wait, if I remember correctly, I have to go through his area of town anyway to get to either the airport or harbour. Maybe I can pick him up... if he'll live by then- NO! He's going to live. He's my brother. I know he will!"
I ran towards the garage while answering the phone. Given the situation, I'm going to need all the help I can get...
"GM. Talk to me."

Before dusk had fallen, I lit some lamps around the table I was sitting at so that I could continue reading. I was near one of the windows so that I could take breaks and look out at the stars. Even though the City has a lot of lights, the Library was pretty close the edge of the City, near the sea. With the sea being that close, the lights from the city were dimmed enough to allow some star gazing. The stars were covered by the clouds unfortunately, but just looking out over the sea was a treat too, when taking a break from reading.
Tonight, I was reading The Pillars of the Earth and wanted to finish it before heading to bed. I had found this in one of the secret stashes the librarian had left on their desk before they left this place. I never really thought much of it, but I thought tonight I'd give it a try.
I had made it to page 254 when I started hearing people running and shouting outside. It was unusual for a lot of people to be walking past the Library at this time of night. Curious, I looked out the window, with a strip of the page I was eating hanging out of my mouth, and saw people running with their belongings down the street. This was very interesting, I finish eating the page as I open the front doors to the Library, scarring a few people who were passing by at that moment.
I walk over to one of the people passing by.
"What's going on? Where's everyone going?"
"There was an evacuation notice, so everyone is heading towards the harbor. You should be heading there as well little miss."
Another man speaks up after the person got done speaking.
"I heard that there's zombies attacking the city. Started over near the research facility."
After that, no one else was willing to talk and just kept rushing towards the harbor. Following their lead, I run back into the Library to grab some belongings. I grab a couple of books and the pistol that I left sitting on the librarians desk after I found it. After I gathered all the things I was willing to take, I headed back out onto the street, to go towards the harbor.
As I step back outside, death wails rip through the night air. Everyone just drops their luggage and their belongings, running towards the harbor. People were shoving one another to try to get out of their way, and end up trampling those that were unfortunate to fall over when they were pushed.
This is just horrible. What kind of fear would lead people to trample others just to get out of the way of something, I think to myself as I make my way into the crowd and onto my way towards the harbor.

I tighten the screws on the ends of the black bow that lay on my desk. These adjustments should help improve the recoil and vibration; I lay back in my chair and held the bow in the air scanning it for anything I might have forgotten.
As I let out a yawn, I put the bow carefully back on the desk and checked the digital clock that was to my far left.

Well, that's strange. It's pretty late for anyone to be calling.
The screen of my phone displays a picture of a man in a white lab coat pouring a red colored solution from one flask to another, with the name 'Rodrick Henson' overlaying the top of the picture. I answer the call and bring the phone to my ear, but all I hear is the sound of heavy, bated breathing.
"Hello?" I call out. I wait a bit and call out once more, "Hey Rodrick, what's going on?"
"Oh thank God you're alive! I've been calling everyone, but no one picked up!" He sounded panicked and out of breath, with every couple of words he gasped for air.
"The lab! The entire Section D! Everyone's dead! B-But they're moving around; it's like zomb-!"
"What?! What are you saying?! Hey, hey!" I quickly check the screen of my phone and see that the call had disconnected.
This has to be some joke.
I redial his number, but I hear no answer. I begin to sweat as I call his number again. Yet again, no answer. I take the remote controller that's on my bed and turn on the T.V. only to hear what I could have only imagined to be a dream:

I call others, most from the facility, but not a single person answers.
Holy shit, I have to think. This isn't a prank that the facility would pull. A zombie outbreak? Seriously?! What about everyone else in the facility? Were they okay- wait, this is no time to be think about what might have happened.
"Water, yes, I'll need water. A-a-and some food."
This cannot be happening, this cannot be happening...
I pick up a leather satchel that I take to work every now and then and stuff it with the 4 water bottles in my fridge and several cans of tuna and corn.
"I wish I'd stocked up more..."
I notice I was still in my usual white button up shirt and black slacks, but decide it's fine. I grabbed a jacket out from my closet, I put on the satchel, and I remember a couple other things.
My phone! And... A weapon...
I grab my phone, my bow, the quiver with arrows that was hung on the wall, and solid black container the size of a soda can, with a bright yellow caution sign on it.
