Dose anyone else Hate! Code Geass.

Well I went into this anime with high hopes for its sucess, but was stabbed in the leg and forced to bleed to death very slowly.

I really cant explain it but I started watching the show and after the first episode hated it, but said to myself it will get better. Needless to say it didn't.

What really gets me is that everyone else seems to think its some "gold encrusted gem from the treasure chest of Xerxes."

Anyone think it is as terrible as I do?

Hahahaha, funny comparison. I haven't seen it. Why? People won't shut up about it, and the image of the main character is everywhere, it's a bit annoying. When that happens, I tend to just stay away from the series completely. Not to mention, I had a feeling I wouldn't like it, so eh. Oh, you have put a bit of a spoiler into your post, and although I don't care, some people might not like that.

Lol Mao was like the most boring character in the entire show.

I enjoyed CG but for all the different reasons then commonly stated.
My favorite character was Orange-kun, I cheered for the bad guys for most of the time and the only thing that made me laugh was the fabulousness and numerous plotholes.
Still - these guys knew how to keep a show entertaining (even if they used fairly simple methods to do so) and after it ended I felt a certain sense of loss for a while.

I'm no fanatic though and see stuff that could make someone hate this thing.

Mao was the best character his obsession with the green haired girl was a great addition supporting his best quality. The fact that he tormented the main character phycologicaly.

I'm sure there's people. So asking this is pretty meaningless. R2 sure didn't help matters in that regard.

I concur. He was so cliched and really did nothing. The only cool thing he did was force Lelouch to do some cool shit.

About the show, I can understand how some people hate the show simply because it's popular, but I don't see how people can actually hate the show itself. At worst, it's better than 90% of the other shit that comes out. If you hate Code Geass, I have to wonder what anime series you do like.

The show was good up until the second half of season 2.

Code Geass was good then at the last like 6 episodes, I just went too fast. They introduced Knight of Four only to be killed in 5 seconds into her introduction. Knight of Twelve hardly had any screen time. The Black Knights bsing Lelouch without hearing from his end and immediately believing Schneizel was disappointing. I mean you would believe a man that was your enemy that took over half of Europe over your leader who created miracles, gave them a real fighting chance for independence, and saved them from execution. Schneizel's words was too good to be true and the BK betraying lelouch kinda killed it for me. Other than that the battle scenes and the constant trying to beat you atmosphere was very entertaining.

I like CG.... 's girls. Kallen and C.C. ftw. You should be thankful for CG you know.
