EDIT: How the fuck is TTGL better than CG?

Okay, three of those I can understand being placed in the "good anime" category, but one of them is called Bleach and is therefore unable to be placed among there with them. Liking Bleach is fine and dandy, I like Pokemon after all, but I won't delude myself into thinking it's anywhere even remotely close to "good", so don't delude yourself either.

@ theotaku: Saying TTGL is better than Geass is pretty common. After all, both seasons of Geass had serious pacing issues as well as reviving characters that should, without a doubt, be dead.

Code Geass was incredibly entertaining. Sure, it was full of plotholes and trainwreck, I won't deny it 'cause it's the truth, and the second season was an incredible disappointment.

Yet, I still liked it. It had awesome moments, and knew how to keep me hooked. It's definitely worth a watch.

Putting Bleach alongside the other 3, fails. Hard.

TTGL is better than CG and CB/Trigun shouldn't be used for comparison because of their age and iconic status.

Frist props to Twarz for at least admitting to huge problems in the show and i'll give you it had some good moments.

Second theotaku ok when making fun of someone for likeing a show you probably shouldn't use a pick from the show. Thats failling miserably.

Ok whats the problem with bleach everyone scared to conform? There is a reason manga sites rate it second best cause tons of people like it. I'll admit it's not the greatist of all time. I'll even give you it dosnt belong with the others but can't say it is a failure!

Also dasiek why can't Cowboybebop and Trigun be included their great and should showcase what good anime is if CG can't stand up (it can't) then it should "GTFO" (as someone who failed once said.)

Postside Note TTGL was epicly better than CG just because of Kamina alone.

I like Bleach. I think it is a pretty decent series. But it's basically just an action series that does some things right. I like watching it, but I'd never put it on a list of the best animes ever. There's not even a single scene or character that I would put in a best of list. Code Geass has several scenes and characters that I would.

About Mao, I guess a better word to use would have been "shallow" instead of "cliched." Mao shows up, he's clearly supposed to be a cool character that appeals to the audience, and nothing is said about him that makes the audience actually give a damn. He can read minds, he can't control it, he wears kickass shades, and he loves C.C. so much that he makes all the stalkers in the history of the world look good. That is everything that is said about Mao. That's all the knowledge you get from the show. Rolo is a deep character compared to Mao.

Because of this, Mao is boring. Yes, he looks cool, but he doesn't say or do anything cool. He even dies a shitty death (twice, at that).

I thought we were talking about animes here not manga ? Also the fact that Bleach has a huge popularity doesn't give it quality. CG is flawed but it's still higher standard.



Like I said - iconic status. By now both Trigun and CB have grown nearly legendary in the anime universe and it's hard to imagine how today's shows would be like if those 2 (and few others) never existed. Makes them win any such competition by default. Besides - comparing shows that are 10 years apart seems silly.

ShaggyJebus maybe I should clarify I dont think bleach is one of the greatist animes of all time just better that CG(much better). It just so happens to be my favorite current running series(why it ws included).

Also memorable scenes I can think up like a hundred. It is very heavy on the figting though I will say but thats a good thing a reason I watch.

Oh and dont say a thing about memorable characters. Almost all are memorable. Can only think of like 1 in CG.

What? if we dont grade anime by the greats then you could say that animes great because it's better than that lame anime. Oh and the second best goses for anime sites too. Just cause it's popular dosnt mean it has no quality just that alot of people like and wan to watch it.

bleach is an alright anime even if it has too many fillers and i like the manga more than the anime but still i prefer CG more even if theres a lot of plotholes in it

And I have nothing against Bleach.

A lot of sites say that Naruto is the best, and Bleach is second. Of course, most of those sites ask for huge donations each month and cater to people who have only seen Naruto and Bleach and the stuff that came on Cartoon Network.

Only site i've seen saying that is OneManga.com tbh.

After I look the first 10 episode I take my first impression of this anime.
First time I saw Code Geass I have think on the old movie Village of the Damned.



Yea it is true I wait only that Lelouch control someone and make a self evisceration with him ...

For my feeling the main Character is to strong.
How can you lose if you can control anybody ?
It is nearly impossible, only if you do a mistake something like "oh I have forget to control you ...".
So on this point I don t like the anime.
Better to say:"I hate Lelouch".
But this only a first impression of him.

The other character look really interesting.
First of all the very strong female in CG.

But the anime is not so good that he fascinated me.
I will look more of this anime to take a better decision.
For me the anime is "ok" but even not more for the moment.

Boy do I feel alone here. :cry: I have gotten alot it's ok's but i still stand the only hate. I dont want to diverge the thread much more than it seems to be turnning into a is bleach better than CG.
