Dose anyone else Hate! Code Geass.

When I originally heard of Code Geass I INSTANTLY hated it. I was not a big mecha fan ever since gundam started to couch up blood and go on some super life su-... Wait isn't Sunrise responsible for Code Geass and Gundam? That may explain the plot holes everyone speaks of.

Anyways when I first started watching Code Geass I was bored out of my mind. I watched it because I needed something new to watch and I became extremely entertained by it after qitnessing a few "miracles". It wasn't the giant robots (although I keep having dreams of Season 3 consisting of Metal Gear REX and FLEIA with Solid Snake) but the tactics that Lelouch came up with. Sure I still have no clue what half his plans were about but (as long as you wash yourself to believe so) Lelouch was a military/political super genius and this is rare to see in a character. Lelouch wasn't some guy who wanted to rid the world of criminals or some guy with hugs as all hell guns and questionable military training. He was your average man with a huge IQ and with a plan he already knew he could execute he just needed some time.

Watching first season again I actually am disappointed by Second season. Sure second season had the mind games and all but it feels like something is missing. I don't really know what but something important left the season and never came back. Maybe it was the fact that the season was short. Maybe if it was 5-10 episodes longer I would have been content.

Now I realize that I am going through what I define as the "What if". It is the question of "What if Rolo wasn't an idiot and killed on sight?" "What if Ohgi went to Lelouch and asked him in privacy rather than go and pressure him?"
I keep wondering what would have happened and this leads to me having fanfiction nightmares where I have been inserted into Code Geass and everyone suddenly knows who I am and I become the guy who sets things straight.

I still enjoy Code Geass don't get me wrong but the anime has gottn to the point where I have to force myself to put the DVD into the hard drve to watch it.

i have heard countless parents in the bookstores scolding their kids for looking at manga saying stuff like "its to violent", "its not real so way bother reading it" and in one case "it wasn't made in america so why the hell should i get it" that gets on my nerves just let the kid read the fucking book before he becomes so ignorant punk

People have told me my whole life that comics/cartoons of any kind are for kids, and I should grow up and stop wasting my time with them.
For some reason, a book of text used to tell a story is art, and a book of drawn images is art, but combining the two to tell a story is kid's stuff.

25 episode seasons are not short.

Wow that was long and the thing I must say is that my biggist problem with Lelouch was that he was so smart that no one was even close. It's why I hated him so and one reason I hate the show. Your telling me one kid has more brains than everyone in the most powerful nation in the world. One kid can out smart 4 star generals all the time. Yeah No! No!! No!!! Thats just stupid if you ask me.

I've only seen it a few times on Adult Swim and it was alright. Though, I had no clue what was going on so I can't really judge anything.

Well most of the anime was strategic, part of it's drive was Lelouch's brain. However he did make his share of plunders as well :P

That wasn't enough to kill it for me... As I said, It was a "good" anime, it had its ups, and its downs. There are far better shows out there, but it was worth watching.

I really can't grasp how you can HATE it, I mean it had a good balance and all.

Whatever though, anime is about personal preference, this one is obviously not yours.

Why would you hate Code Geass? It's pretty good.

Code Geass was a pretty good show. The story was good and easy to follow but many my friends find that as a negative since it wasn't all that deep. So overall, its a good to watch but in my opinion not worth a second run.

There have been 16-year-old kids able to beat 45-year-olds at chess. That's basically what Lelouch did. He used his knowledge of chess (which is a strategic game) to plan his strategies against Britannia. Plus, Britannia underestimated Lelouch, not expecting that a genius would be living in Japan or that someone would stand up to fight against them.

All that aside, Code Geass is an anime series! You can't complain about the main character's abilities being too great if you like Bleach, or 90% of the anime series out there. Nearly every main character in the history of anime has been overpowered.

Ok I have no problem with overpowered heroes but not unbeatable heroes. Like in bleach if Ichigo took on Stark he would lose horribly. The good guys win I get that but Lelouch was just lame.

Also chess and real combat are two completly different things. Things happen outside the rules luck goes into play. All the plans I saw from Lelouch were flawless and had no problems at all that never happens. CG was trying to be a real world anime and nothing about that is real world.

Didn't Lelouch lose the first time he went up against Cornelia? And didn't he lose because real combat isn't like chess?



Umm, that was the whole point of Death Note, to show that Light was evil. Light wasn't a hero, or even an antihero. He was the antagonist, with L and L's successors being the protagonists. The story was just more interesting if told from behind Light's shoulder.

And didn't he lose because Lancelot would suddenly emerge onto the battlefield? And didn't he get stabbed in the back by the Black Knights thanks to Schneizel's plan?
