Watched it and have ZERO Deathnote hentai in my collection, even for series I normally hate have something from it at least, but for DN, nothing.

TTGL is good, really good even imo, but i'll never understand how people can think it's the best thing evah!
Probably the most overrated anime of all time.
I think it's largely because TTGL was more a traditional Mecha anime when compared to the mindscrew that was Evangelion.
That being said comparing enjoyment levels, I'd have to vote TTGL.

They're both really excellent, and I feel like arguing about which one is better just comes down to personal taste. I'd go with Gurren Lagann by a long shot, though.
