oh well, I think the similar thing happened to my country too. the government sux, though the citizens doesn't seem to be giving that much fucks to it now that they could somehow bypass the internet blockade for porn. still no shipping though~

See. Even if I won the last contests, I couldnt take the prizes. In fucking fact, had the hosts shipped it anyway, that would only give the govt excuses to arrest me.

Personally, I don't really care about prizes. If the organisers feel that it is too cumbersome to lay their hands on prizes, I am of the opinion that either they should settle for something simpler like getting the prize winner to download the prize from Dropbox or some other filesharing device or in the worse scenario, do away with the prizes.

Personally, organizers who actually does something like your suggestions would be, too shallow to actually be organizers.

Without efforts, there won't be any worth it organizing shit. >,<

I think you should if you'd like to. I'd likely participate prizes or no. However, I think I can sense from the second section of your post is that you're just lazy, per usual. I'd support you to do it.



Where is there, as in country? What an odd policy. You haven't participated in a lot of contests. Yet, I'd think you'd make a wonderful judge and I feel everyone would back me up on this. Say, for one such hypothetical summer contest.



It certainly does take a different frame of mind than one who is participating, that's for sure. You need to establish what you will grade on and then depend on what gets submitted. You may have a difficult time by the close quality of a lot of submissions and then you may end up judging on gut, which is always extremely difficult. Suffice to say it just won't happen effectively without someone near OCD in organization. That just so happens to be me and why I don't see it as too much trouble to organize a contest. It's taking the time to take everyone's submission into equal consideration that's the difficult, and yet most enjoyable part.

Also, this is very bad, for I am beginning to read the collaborative story in Leo's narrative voice.

I have a friend who hates Malaysia for no apparent reason. He once said he wanted to invent a zombie virus, spread it through Malaysia, and then charge people who want to go there and kill zombies though how he would maintain a monopoly over that I have no idea.

Nothing to do with writing, contests or a relay novel, but . . . yeah.

I'm curious for his reasons, but either way I support that plan. Just haul me out before the virus strikes and all is good.

Actually, if being a zombie would rob me of my sentience, I wouldn't mind being one THAT much.
