I heard that even some great prophet can't foresee year after 2012,they say in 2012 will happened a great calamity, but the humanity will remain exist.
Anyway, even if it is true or not,its still inevitable, so no points in thinking too much about it
That's what happens when you don't check your resources. I'm not sure where you got your info from, but I can say with 100% certainty that they either knew shit or got their info from someone else that didn't know shit about where the 2012 doomsday theory originated from.
First, it isn't from a prophet or a prophecy, the general idea is derived from the Mesoamerican calendar. It doesn't say anything about the world ending, its only the end of a cycle. Second, there isn't anything about a calamity occurring. That's just a radical presumption based upon the fact that the Mayans, one of many cultures that used the same calendar system, believed mankind was created the last time the end of this particular cycle occurred.
Although many people are banking on December 21, 2012 being the end of the world, which is reason enough to start asking questions, its not gonna happen. Interestingly enough, a significant majority of those putting stock into the 2012/doomsday bullshit belong to one of the many Christian groups that are desperately anticipating the end of the world to fulfill their convoluted perceptions about what the Bible says because the world didn't end with the last millennium.
It's ironic that Christians are contributing the most to the momentum of this crap, seeing as how they maliciously destroyed anything that could possibly help us understand Mesoamerican cultures. When Spain colonized the region, one of their intentions was to systematically destroy native cultures and beliefs in order to promote righteous Christian ideals. That alone is a major reason why, over the course of 30-40 years, we've learned so little about many pre-Columbian civilizations compared to those outside of the Americas.
