The world is becoming overpopulated. How would you fix it?

I'm tired of most of your retarded posts that only serve to keep this thread on life support that nobody is going to read, especially if you didn't even bother to read all the former posts first. Let it die already.

Unless you want to make a disease to thin down the human population nothing will change since technology/science is allowing humans to live longer and humans do not have a known predator.

Kill all the humans. This can be done a number of ways, such as:

Engineering a disease to kill all the humans.
Fire all the nukes. All of them.
Wide-ranging radiation to make all women sterile.


I'm serious about this. I think that the human race is the worst thing to happen to the planet in recorded history.

To slow down the baby boomers we really need to create a policy that will let everyone have at least two kids and not more .... I don't wanna kill anyone because of this oh so " Crisis ".

The truth is, there is no crisis, and it is not overpopulated .... it is overpopulated in certain spaces ... but not overpopulated in general.

Here is my tip:
You can only have kids based on your salary ... because if you don't then you are only limited to one.

Every child has to be registered and looked at to see if it is their child in case they try to trick the system.

Create a better environment for everyone then it is not needed to make a lot of kids.

Most of all ... control ... heavy fines should be paid for any case of boomers.

After that, then we should reproduce our resources and then make a new rule for consumption ... nowadays people are getting fatter by the minute and they are taking more than they should ... key word .... control.

That is my solution .... because I am sick and tired of hearing this overpopulation case.

Have you guys read about Virgin Galactic's mission to set out in space?
This could be one of the best solutions for us all, instead of concentrating on one planet.
Why not populate more than one? sounds crazy, but instead of killing each-other, radiating etc. etc.

The world is overpopulated? Says who? All I've seen are UN affiliated studies. And it's not like those are reliable either! Often times those who endorse the idea of thinning the population actually benefit from Eugenics as a business.

The truth is we are only over-populated in CONCENTRATED AREAS! Do you know how much unpopulated space there is in Arizona? Compare with the cities.

As for resources, considering the fact corrupt governments try to regulate and monopolize our resources in favor of lobbyists like American Electric, it makes sense that we see this illusion of somehow "running out" of resources.

Population rise is going to stagnant in Western countries and already has been for many decades now. As people become more aware to child birth and the impact that carries and of sexual diseases, the rate of child birth seems to drop. Heading into the future, most of the human population growth will come out of third-world countries like in Africa as they advance up the cultural and technological chain. Melinda Gates has recently promised the Gates Foundation will invest 560 million into contraception by 2020, which is a great initiative to say the least.

However, the issue here is not overpopulation, we've well got enough resources to handle a population twice the current size of today, the issue is the impact of our consumption. The effects can be seen and most evident in our ocean ecosystem. There are a lot of problems that our population size is causing, and there is no clear one answer solution. The only way we can thwart many of the dangers of a high human population consumption society is to raise awareness on such issues. Though even in saying that, it probably won't do much because you're asking people to go back in lifestyle which is nearly impossible to do. At this stage now, future awareness might help shift public and government opinion into funding more money into new technologies and research, which realistically is all we can hope for.

I guess logic isn't a part of SD.

It isn't sad it is reality ... too many kids, and a bad salary equals hungry kids that are willing to commit more crimes in the future than ever.

I have a neighbor, they both have 7 kids and not enough to take care of them all.... they even said why make seven kids if one doesn't have money?

That is a sad reality in a certain perspective, but it is a fair solution.

Also age is the problem, too many young people are making kids at an astonishing rate ... I believe one must be at least 26 or 27 to start having kids .... because young parents are more likely to fail at raising them properly because they themselves are young.

The only resource I'm aware of that is lacking is energy. However, I don't think this is a result of overpopulation, but the advent of technology. It seems a little hasty to think that the population should be reduced just because of a lack of energy resources.

Based on what I've learned in history class overpopulation is usually something that fixes itself. Usually either through a plauge, a famine, or a war. You don't really need to activly go about depopulation to world.

With today's technology we've made the likely hood of a plague or a famine pretty slim so my money's on a war. Lots of little civil wars most likely, no one's going to start a big international world war until we figure out how to counter nukes so to pressure will probably just continue to mount until we get a bunch of civil wars.

I think the most humane method of population control is making contraception cheaper, easy to use and more widely available.

Just so you know, January to June of this year was the hottest first half of any year in the U.S

So you are admitting to not knowing how economy works? The more there is of it, the less it is worth, the more people there is, the more money is needed, thus removing a huge part of people that doesn't help and only spends with no giving, there wont be a problem with the economy nor ressources.
