Ive been a patriotic American for decades.Ive someday dream of joining the U.S marines.

I love this country a lot and couldn't think of a better place i would be in right now(Expect Japan gotta go to Japan someday). But most people around the world don't share the same views as i do and since some our fakku members are not all from America i wanted to know your opinion about the United States of America. Is it a great place with great history or is it just some hell hole in which no one should live in?

Not to mention the not so patriotic Americans who live in America with me.

That's a very subjective thing to say. Have you lived in many other countries around the world or stayed in them for extensive time during travel? Because I know a lot of americans that come to canada and would much rather be here in canada than in america.

American used to be the greatest place on the planet, but over the last 40-50 years, it has deteriorated immensely.

If america was so great than how come they stopped going to the moon in the 1960's. America is also literally the only democratic nation on the planet that only has 2 political parties in which to vote for. Many other nations have more freedom than america. America has fallen down the charts in most catagories that make countries great. And america is only top in like 3 catagories, number of citizens incarcerated per capita, number of people that believe in angels, and defense spending. America spends more than the next 25 countries combined on defense.

America is a great country, with plenty of chances to make a great living. However, the government is too corrupt and needs to get back on track.

I love living in America, though I'm not going to say it's the best country in the world and it's far from perfect. There is alot of idiots and greedy people in America, although every country has their fair share.
I enjoy being able to criticize the government and other people, watch people on TV make fun of the government and worldly issues, freedom of speech, and most importantly the freedom to fap on Fakku.

You do realize that countries are just segregated portions of a whole world, apparently not all countries are same or have exact proportions of "freedom". However I hate how some people believe that we should judge eachother by where we reside as if that we are a part of the state and represent that country. I wouldn't view myself as a member of any country.

Almost every example you gave there can be said about america. There are places in america where not speaking english can get you fined, look at arizona, which passed a law that allows them to check anyone for being an illegal immigrant for no reason at all. But we all know what the reason is, you have a different skin colour and you might speak another language.

In america depending on where you live, if you mess up the national anthem, you may not be fined but you might suffer public retaliation. Which also makes me wonder about the freedom of speech in america. If you live in an overly supportive red state or town, and you are democratic, good like voicing your opinion without recieving incredible amounts of hate. As this forums have prove like many others, try speaking out against america and watch yourself get downvoted into oblivion.

Yeah, Japan has racism, and so does america. Lots of it.

European economics and politics would still rank higher than american economics on most levels. Sure they are bad, but if you look at the america economy...

In america you are strictly defined by who you vote for, you are either red or blue. Republican or democratic and that is a flawed system of politics.

The issues with america go back far longer than obama. Pointing the finger at obama is like me giving you a broken cup to drink from and telling you that you broke it. America was screwed from far longer than bush or obama. It goes back all the way to ronald reagan, and the deregulations of the heatlth and economy that he implimented.

I'm going to adress these together yet seperately as they are related in some way, and that way being time.

The difference of illegal immigration in america is that white people are making policies on immigration in a country origionally owned by mexicans and native americas. The pilgrams that landed in their ships from europe didn't have visa's and immigration papers. They took the land by blood, and made it into a country where anyone from around the world was welcome for over a hundred years. America was a country build on the promise of freedom for any human being without a cost. Yet now people want to prevent that from happening. That is the double standard that history has taught us. Land stolen from the natives, populated by the french, retaken by the british, immigrated to by irish, italian, german, russian, chinese, africans. But the war remains not to deport white people, or even black people, the majority of boarder issues are to deport mexicans.

If we want to talk about such things, then we should at least factor in switzerland into this equation. If you want to talk about a country of freedoms with language, start there. Switzerland has 4 official languages because they have such a relaxed view of language. They were origionally German, French and Italian but in 1996, they adopted Romansh. Things like language should be celebrated and integrated into all portions of society.

America used to be the country praised for it's celebration of human achievement, now it's a country that screws it's population to give money to the rich, and wage war for no legitimate reason.




As for this part, japan was not founded on immigration, it was a closed nation for thousands of years. Japan is also a country that has not taken full responsibility for the attrocities that it commited during war, and in the eyes of some of it's leaders, fails to see the raping of nanking as something bad. This is a completely different box of frogs.

But you still have to consider the fact that Mexico carried the swine flu and import it into the u.s.a. Maybe thats the reason for it idk but what i will say is this. I know we had our shares of views. I think america is a great place while you think it suck but remember no matter what you say america has shaped most countries like it is today. Japan, Russia,Germany and etc.

Did you know that when the europeans came over the north america and introduced the native population to small pox, and many other european viruses, that when some of them returned to europe they took an entire host of new viruses with them, that could have potentially wiped out the entire population of europe. You have to remember that these were two completely seperate portions of the human species that had not had contact for thousands of years. Each surviving their own variations of illnesses.

Here's some fun facts about the swine flu that you may or may not have known. It was not imported into the good old U.S of A by mexicans, infact the swine flu was first recorded as appearing in 1918. During this time, what was happening in the world? That is correct, the first world war which in first world nations like england, america, germany, france, the media was not allowed to report on war time activities and the health of the troops as they fought in europe because it would give valuable intel to the enemy, but this media blackout was not forced in spain, where the press remained free to report on anything they wish, to which they reported on the flu epidemic that was inflicting the european continent but since it was only reported in spanish papers, it was called "The Spanish Flu". Thus the origin still remains unknown to where it came from but the name starts out misleading.

It latered appeared again in 1976, as the american outbreak was first recorded. The first known american sighting of it on america soil was reported by an american army recruit based in trenton, new jersey, who died to the flu the next day and caused 4 other army personel to be hospitalized for exposure. Again this virus took it's toll before disappearing.

Only to reappear in america in 1988, killing a one woman and infecting many others. This lady named Barbara Ann Wieners, got her exposure while visiting a pig farm in Walworth County, Wisconsin. Again, last I checked my geography, new jersey and wisconsin are not heavily populated by mexicans nor that close to the mexican boarder. It then died out appearing again in america in 1998. Interesting how it breaks out in america every 10 years.

Which it might also be interesting to note that the swine flu that you know of, when research was done on it in 2011 published in the magazine Nature, noted that the strain of the flu that you know of as swine flu is actually related to the first outbreak in europe in 1918, and was caused by the avian virus. That's right ladies and gentlemen, the swine flu was caused by birds.

I'd also like to point out that in 2007, swine flu broke out in the phillipines which unless I am horrible mistake, is probably the last place you'd find it if it was related to being spread my mexicans.



Now on another note, not in any of my posts so far have I directly said that america sucks. Althrough I must certainly could say that, but that would be in itself subjective because I'd have to compare it to so many other places on the planet that are much much worse.

But if we want to talk about how america has changed the world. All I need to mention in the middle east, and the consistant hatred that it has shown towards america for causing nothing but war in it's boarders for nearly 6 decades. Yes america has changed the world, but that doesn't mean that it has changed it for the better. Germany changed the world during the second world war and the majority of our medicine knowledge, aviation knowledge and transpotation knowledge all came from that.

On the contrary my friend, The U.S.A and U.S.S.R had to subject the germanies into submission and swine flu did in fact orginated from mexico though piggys... those bacon bastards!

Yes because england, france and canada did nothing to try and stop the germans. Nor was the U.S.S.R fighting on 2 fronts against both the germans and japanese.[insert sarcasm]

The 2009 strain was thought to have been circulating in mexico for several days before crossing the boarder into america, that does not mean it started there. You do understand that we are talking about the "flu". Whatever name you put infront of it has no relevence to what it actually is, other than the species it was recorded in.

If you're talking about the origin, the varient has to be taken into consideration. It is very hard with our current understanding to know where it started because cross species viruses are becoming more common. World travel is more common now than ever, and especially when it talks about what 2009 strain which is what you are talking about. It was indeed found in pigs in mexico, does that mean it started there? NO! not even close.

It could have started in africa for all we know, so to point finger doesn't make any sense.

So your telling me can know a origin of a dinosaurs bone but we cant know the origin of a flu? .... My friend if we find a way in the past you gotta come with me so i can prove you wrong.

Except we haven't proven the origin of a dinosaur bone. Carbon dating is an imperfect science. If you look at any research done about dinosaurs, you'd realise that we can give approximate time frames, we can't say for sure that the t-rex was alive from january 18, xxxx- to april 28, xxxx.

We can only give an approximate time frame within a possible few hundred years that give us a time frame for when it was alive. Come on here, if you really want to prove me wrong and you're going to go as far as saying that we have a way of knowing dinosaurs but not viruses then lets talk more dinosaurs.

In hundreds of PUBLISHED books relating to the dinosaurs and in almost all forms of media we see the tyrannosaurus in the same environment as the stegosaurus. But that is literally IMPOSSIBLE.

The T-rex as it is called lived during the cretaceous period, about 67-65.5 million years ago while the stegosaurus was alive during the late jurassic period which is 155-150 million years ago. Do you not see the glaringly obvious issue with at.

Just look at the mathmatics behind that, we placed these two creatures together despite the fact that there is nearly 90 MILLION years difference between them. And we also can't even conclude that math properly from when they were on the planet. All we can say is about 67-65.5 million years ago. That is a span of 1.5 million years, humans have only been on the planet like 50,000 years. Since the upper paleolithic period. Hell, if we even want to go further, the first ape's that we have found are barely 7 million years old.

We haven't even discouvered all the species that are on the planet. You can go in your back yard right now and look through your garden, and dig in the dirt and find a new species that has never been discouvered before my humanity. Did you know that a female biologist in britain just 2 years ago discouved 100 different species of insect in her garden alone.

The thing you need to understand when we talk about science, and this is coming from someone who has studied science for a living, is that what we know is that we know nothing. If you were to take everything that we can possibly know about the earth and place it into standard NBA size basketball. Our knowledge of that would be the size of 1 air molicule that inflates the ball.

We don't even know what the center of the earth is made of. We have estimates radar like devices. Some facts about that, the furthest any human has ever been into the earth is 1.48 miles achieved by digging in south africa. The farthest down we have ever dug without sending a human is 4.8 miles done by the russians in 1962, and that was the U.S.S.R doing "scientific research" in which they had to stop because the heat of the earth was melting their equipment. Not to burst your bubble on this impressive knowledge but the center of the earth is about 3958.8 miles down. and we barely made is 5 miles down. That is barely to the bottom of the earths crust. Not even into the mantle.

There is still so much that we do not know, to even assume that we know anything only proves how stupid we are as a species.

Back then, the world worked on just wars and making their own boundaries. Now "everyone" has their own immovable borders. You can ask Greece what happened. From the US all the way down to Chile, all those countries have been found in blood. Why no outrage over those?

Lots of people deport Latinos because they are the ones coming here ILLEGALLY. Too many of them are causing troubles and many have become gang members, thereby TARNISHING their reputation as a whole.

We live in a different world now, back then there was no database or big legal problems of immigration. Now there is. One might as well start accepting strangers coming to live into your home since you believe that illegal immigration should be taken lightly. Is it not okay to at least secure borders? Why is it okay for everyone else to play hardball?

If the US is to adopt more languages, then why aren't the communities that speak a different language are not outstanding amongst everyone else?

What about the Ainu people? Lots of stuff stuff as early as a few centuries ago wouldn't be allowed today, unless it was taking place in the middle of the entire transition between the 20th and 21st century.

That doesn't make it right. Just because someone else does something all of a sudden makes it correct? Mexico makes tough border laws so now america is justified to do the same. You know they stone women to death in the middle east if their husband cheats on them because the only reason a man would cheat is because she failed to satisfy them. So america should do the same?

America especially during the cold war because known as the pinnicle of freedom and perfection of a nation because they upheld a certain level of human moral. They refused to bend to communism, to tightened borders. They believed that people should be able to travel where they want, live where they want, and in safety. But you're telling me that they shouldn't be allowed to do this? Not even in the very country that fought for that right. That is indication of the biggest double standard there is.

Back then, when wars were forging nations, transportation around the world was limited, communication took days, sometimes months to be recieved. Now it is nearly instant, people can travel the world in a matter of hours, if there was ever a time for promoting freedom in the world and about uniting the human experience, that would be now. The morals that america once fought for are here and almost all the other countries on the planet are starting to adopt those morals while america is losing them. China and japan are even in discussions for free trade agreements with europe and canada. That is a HUGE step forward in erasing borders and uniting the human race. When you go into outer space and you look back at the planet, do you see borders? No you don't. You see a picture of the world as nature intended it, no borders, no countries, no nations, no politics. That is the way it should be.

Also if you haven't seen these communities of people speaking a different language not outstanding, you aren't looking hard enough. In the united states, in many of the southern states, like new mexico, texas, california, florida, you can take your citizen test in spanish. A unilingual nation like america that is only english allows you to swear allegience to it's government and constitution in spanish. That alone proves the outstanding community effect.
