"With this, it should be enough to pull her to this side," this reassuring line was said in such a professional manner that one would think this person is a secretary. Her voice-tone, and the very way she presented herself before her apparent 'boss' was accompanied with flawless acting. Except that, while her composure seemed to be perfect, what remained behind her glare was fiery hatred. This was the blond-haired middle school student perceived to be 'dangerous' by the academy. "With this, I have most of the pawns assembled, with the last two piece, I'd be set to put my plans in motion once again," the boy standing before the girl spoke with a hint of glee exuding from his grinning expression. "Persona, I leave the rest to you. I don't care however you do it, just get them to be on this side," he ordered. "Of course," Persona answered. No hint of feelings could be felt from his extremely cold way of speaking. However, a corner of his lips rose; a smile filled with blood-lust could be seen. ↑ Prologue ↑ Ladies and Gentlemen - prospective role-players and viewers alike - I welcome you all to my next Role-Play (RP). An RP based on a great old anime/manga series, it's something I didn't think I'd do myself, but did it anyway. This one is made mostly because I wanted to, there is no particular reason, it was actually supposed to be Zero no Tsukaima RP this time, but my mood changed, and so did my plans. I do have exams soon, so I'm going to be slightly slower with the writing than usual. Gakuen Alice is a manga (also had an anime adaptation with 26 episodes, years ago) about a girl that chases after her childhood friend, who one day enrolled into the mysterious academy known as Alice Academy (we'll refer to it as 'Alice Academy' instead 'Gakuen Alice' in this RP from this point on). All the students in said academy are known as 'Alices', each possessing the unreal power called Alice. Alice is a special power that those are born with, they are treated as national treasure by the country; they'd do whatever they can to have children with such power enroll into Alice Academy, so as to keep them protected from terrorist organizations and kidnappers. In this RP, we're going to take a different approach to this. Most of the main characters from the manga will not be taking part in the story of this RP. There will be however; a few of them taking part regardless: Persona, for example. I'll be trying to make the story of this RP funny, yet dark just like the manga, not sure how much of that I can actually accomplish, though. Rules: If you're new to RP'ing, give the old RP guide a read, if you're too lazy to bother, at least check out the munch section. Please, no spamming. Don't post a question, comment, or anything pertaining to this RP or anything related to... well, anything. Send me a Private Message (PM) instead. Only post your character's profile before the RP starts, and make RP posts after the RP itself is start - there will be an opening post when it starts. Please use OOC to speak, comment or ask about something while not in-character (but you're allowed to use OOC only in your profile post, or RP posts). Keep all posts under the Third Person Writing format, the reason is that we'll be doing joint posts with multiple users quite often. Common sense is essential, imagine yourself in your PC's shoes with both the personality and the background in mind, and play out your PC properly, I'll be supervising joint posts sometimes, but I'm not going to be -always- around. Keep your posts neat and clean! Make sure your English is proper, and try to avoid making grammatical errors. Of course, this includes grammar, punctuation, etc. English not being your first language is an excuse not good enough, stop being lazy, only I can do that. While you're writing RP posts: please note that you're not allowed to control important NPCs without permission, control of unimportant NPCs should be kept minimal. Make sure you literally have time to post everyday, otherwise please don't consider joining, I personally want active players who come online everyday only. Even if around an hour per day is good enough, if you have enough time to make a post or make additions to a joint post, and I'll be content with it (life suddenly causing unexpected problems is a different issue, of course). That said, after some time, we'd be joint posting more than anything (probably), remember that you have to try to be consistent with everyone's writings when joint posting. Character creation: Spoiler: Character profile - fill out the necessary details of your character and write up the profile, then post it in the thread when completed. You also have the option to PM me the profile before posting if you want me to check if you've written it properly according to the instructions provided by the thread. Well, you'd have to PM me the profile either way, especially if you want your character to have a star rank and Alice form. As you're disallowed from assigning them to your Player Character (PC). ----------------- Basic information: Name: The PC's name, write down the full name. Since the RP takes place in Japan, you'd have to come up with a Japanese name, unless it's a foreign student transferring into Alice Academy. Speaking of Japanese names, Surnames comes first, then comes the Other names. Alias(es): The PC's nickname, or aliases, if any. Gender: State whether the PC's sex is male or female. Age: How many years old your PC is. Note that the age limit is strictly 13-15 on this RP, because some of the important NPCs, and the PCs would be students of the Middle School Division of Alice Academy. Appearance: How your PC appears to look; whether attractive, ugly, or passable... well, whatever you decide to cook up for your PC. Please provide a picture, you may opt to describe via words alone, but I'd prefer an image regardless. Personality: How your PC acts in general. Please do write about how your PC's mind works, and what type of a demeanor the PC shows in front of others, as well as the usual inner workings of the mind. Think carefully before you fill out this part, there were RP'ers who sometimes found it hard to play out the very personality of the PC they made. Background: Your PC's past; a summary of how he or she got by life before transferring into Alice Academy. It can be short or long, write it however you like, but don't make too much unnecessary story up about the PC's life after enrolling into the academy. If the PC has been on Alice Academy from when he or she was very young, then you may write about their past life in the academy's grounds, if such is the case, do include how said student is treated by the classmates, though. This goes without saying that you should try to be as creative with your PC as possible, I don't mind a normal-ish 'just another guy' type of character too, though. Make sure the background of your PC justifies the amount of points you put in the statistics' attributes. Affiliation: Any group or particular influential figure your character is affiliated with. Note that most NPCs would be affiliated to one group or the other, but most of the PCs will not be. ---------------------------- Statistics: Much like some of my previous RPs, we're following a game mechanic that defines a PC's talents and abilities via statistics (just like Toaru Kagaku no Railgun RP's mechanics). The statistics in this RP consists of a set of attributes which the PCs would have - most of the important NPCs (profiles on the post below) has such attributes as well. Speaking of attributes, there are five (6) attributes. When creating a PC, you'll have fifteen (15) points to spare for distributing to each of the base attributes. Assuming you wish to make sure your character is mostly decently balanced (well, I sure as hell do), you may evenly spread out two (2) points each to every attributes, and still have three (3) extra points to have an actual field of expertise, and thus finalize the PC's statistics. Note that you cannot have more than 5 points in any of the attributes. The attributes are as follows: Strength: Combat and physical capabilities. It may also pertain to how trained the PC's body is for fighting. Dexterity: This includes speed, finesse, etc. It also includes the PC's stamina. Perception: This regards the PC's sharp senses. Natural intuition that allows them to pick valuable hints, that points towards danger that is sometimes unnoticed till it actually occurs. It also regards how good the PC is at noticing coming attacks, especially in dire situations. Alice: How strong or useful the PC's Alice is. It may be to use the Alice to add additional statistical points (either permanent or temporary) to the other attributes. Intelligence: How smart your PC is, and how fast the PC's brain works. Charisma: From Socializing, persuasion, to having a talkative nature, to even having actual leadership skills - is what this attribute is all about. (Note: Alices can be used to forcibly increase points in certain attribute(s) up to an extent temporarily, depending on the effects of the Alice. There are some Alices that can passively increase attributes permanently, as long as the PC or NPC of the Alice is alive.) --------------------------- Alice: Alice is an innate supernatural ability that one can be born with. Once discovered by the government, they'd be forced - via one way or the other to transfer into the Academy. Depending on the Alice's effects, it is possible to determine a student's position in the Academy as well. Albeit extremely rare, there are few who are known to possess up to three Alices, you'd need special permission if you wish your PC to have more than one Alice. Of course, when an Alice's second or third Alice usually stays dormant until an event occurs and the second or third gets forcibly awakened unintentionally due to the pressure from the situation... or something like that. Most Alices born with two or three Alices had their second or third Alices awakened as they got older; they're mostly High school students, moreover, with Special Star ranking. Anyway, in this section of the profile, you're to add every bit of details regarding the Alice you come up with, or take from the wikia (you can use that page if you're really uncreative). Regardless of the Alice you make or pick, I'd have to speculate and judge if that's something your PC should be allowed to have. Basically, getting something over-powered won't be so easy for the PCs of this RP, they'll likely come with disadvantages even if it does happen. Name of the Alice: Write the name of the ability. Type of ability: There are five types of Alices: Latent type, Technical type, Somatic type, Special type, and Dangerous type (alternatively, you can find explanations regarding the types in the Terminology section below). Alice's Effect: This part should explain how the Alice itself works. I.E: How it works, how much and how often it can be used (this must be adjusted to the Alice Form that I assign to your PC), whether it has any conditions before it can be used properly (if any... an Alice usually doesn't have conditions though), in what manner it works, range or limits (if any), in what ways the ability can generally for used for, and lastly, it's very effect, and side-effects (if any). Also try to include: up to what extent the Alice is controlled by the owner should also be mentioned, as not all Alices can be fully controlled, especially when they're particularly powerful, if not properly controlled, there may be passive effects from the Alice (this includes passively additional points added to the statistics). There is no actual need to point out the pros and cons of said Alice. Star Ranking: One of the ways in which the power level of an Alice gets categorized is through the Star Ranking system of Alice Academy. It is determined not solely by the owner's Alice itself, but also involves the student's grades and good behavior. (Note: This is something I'm going to be deciding for you guys via using a dice that will randomly assign the Star Ranking to your PC, because I suspect most prospective players may choose Triple Star without any prior thinking.) Alice Class: Classes based on Alices are where students explore their powers in their designated class. Classes are separated in five categories: Latent, Technology, Somatic, Special, and Dangerous. Form of the Alice: All Alices have a form or shape, which dictates how often, and how much the Alice can be used at a time. An individual is born with one of the four following form, so it can't be controlled or changed: Childhood, Diffuse, Intermittent, and Limited. (Note: This is something I'm going to be deciding for you guys via using a dice that will randomly assign the Form to your PC.) Alice Restraint(s): Commonly seen in the form of accessories; earrings, necklaces, hats, bracelets, masks, etc. If the Alice is currently uncontrollable for the owner and has unavoidable passive effects, these are used to make them non-passive, and thus controllable. This is done to reduce harm done by the out-of-control Alice, or so the Alice doesn't run out (especially in the case of Alices with Childhood Form). (Note: If your PC's Alice has a passive effect, it may passively give additional statistical points to the attributes at all times. Put the additional points in a bracket beside the actual number of points you put in the attribute [I.E: 2(+3)]. I'll specify how much additional points the passive effects with provide via PM or Skype. Do note that if the extra points from the Alice's passive effect goes beyond five, it'll not count. Any higher extra is simply a waste. This applies only towards passive effects working without Alice restraints.) Mechanics: Spoiler: This section is dedicated to explaining how the RP works in the background with the mechanics that I've set (which is similar to the few past RPs I've hosted, derp). The gist of the whole deal is that in order to find out the result of an action that a PC performs, or attempts - attributes from the statistics of said PC (this applies for an NPC with a proper posted profile) will be used to determine whether it succeeds or fails - in the case that it does succeed, the exact number of the result is also used to figure out the particular result. This is done by me, the GM. I throw a dice (the dice from random.org) whenever I feel the need to, in order to confirm whether an action or attempt initiated by a PC is successful or not. The result of the dice plus the number taken from the certain attribute (attribute which relates to the attempt or action best) are added, and if it exceeds the requirement for success; it succeeds. If it over-exceeds the requirement, a beneficial occurrence may happen as a bonus. Of course, the requirement number is picked based on the situation, depending on how hard the certain attempt is to accomplish. Example: when a PC attempts to do something as simple as punching another PC (or NPC), a dice may be rolled by me to determine whether the PC manages to actually hit the other PC. The dice is rolled due to the possibility that the other PC may be able to respond in time to evade, or even counter; totally dependent on that PC's statistics. To further elaborate with the attributes themselves, here is a more proper explanation (with included examples) regarding how each points on an attribute may effect the PC: Zero (0) - The PC can't do anything in this area. For example: if a PC's Strength is 0, this must mean that the PC has a very weak and slim body, who can't fight, and is unable to carry or handle pressure from heavier objects. This would apply to someone sick with an illness. It could also mean that the PC simply lost their means of fighting, in other words, losing arms or legs in an accident, or a fight. In a case that a PC has zero Dexterity, it could that the PC is complete immobilized and hence may be due to being hospitalized, or can't walk due to permanent injuries. One with zero Alice attribute is most likely someone who lost his or her Alice from heavy usage. One (1) - This means that the PC is really bad for whatever the attribute stands for. A single point in Charisma may mean that the PC is very shy or rarely speaks to anyone, and is terrible at communicating with others, there could be other reasons for it, such as being a mute. A single point in Perception may mean that the PC has terrible senses, it could even mean that the PC is somewhat deaf, or can't see too well. A single point in the Alice attribute may be due to it having the Diffuse form, or it being simply very weak or borderline useless. Two (2) - This is the average level of capability. If you want to make a PC who manages to have an average life, you'd be putting at least 2 on every attributes of your PC. This is the gray spot where a PC is nothing special, yet he or she is not noticeably bad at doing something, whether it is communicating with others, or running, or getting average grades at school. However, this also means that the PC makes no effort to improve him/herself in the attribute in which he or she has 2. Three (3) - This implies that the PC's capabilities are above average. This could perhaps imply that a PC is slightly good at pulling clever tricks or can hack programs or a software or websites via the use of a computer; due to having 3 points on Intelligence. Four (4) - The character is exceptionally good at the activities that involves the use of the attribute. For example, with 4 points of Perception, a PC will have a good chance of dodging an attack at the right timing, or have premonitions of danger from hints alone. Five (5) - The character is a true expert, a genius, or perhaps even famous for how unbelievably good he or she is, at performing something, which is related to the attribute; the character is at the pinnacle at his or her expertise, and has almost no more rooms for improvement (well, at his or her current age, anyway). Alice attribute with five points may imply that the Alice is very powerful, yet hard to control. Some of the graduates of Alice Academy, combined with their Alices, are apparently at said pinnacle of greatness due to how needed and demanded their Alices are, this is one of the reasons why the students are protected as national treasures; which is done by forcibly making them transfer into the Academy when an Alice is discovered. Next, we'll have an in-depth look into the attributes themselves; Strength: Other than physical capabilities and combat abilities, it also determines your PC's current physical state. If you put one point on your PC's Strength attribute; you're implying (as supported by your character's background or personality), that your PC is crippled, or have even lost an arm, or has some kind of a disease that makes his or her body extremely weak, as one point specifically means that a PC has below average Strength. However, this can also imply that the PC's body hasn't developed properly so far, due to being very young. Four points may mean that your character is either very skilled, have learned something such as martial arts - or any other school of fighting techniques - or he or she has developed lots of muscles in the body through harsh amounts of exercises. Strength attribute can be increased regardless, via the use of Alices, or through specially made food imbued with powers of Alice from the Central Town, the amount of additional points that gets added varies. Dexterity: This shows how fast a PC is. From how much or how far the PC can run, or how fast, to having more stamina through each points of Dexterity, it can also be used to allow a PC's mind to concentrate faster to use his or her Alice faster, and speaking of that, this also implies that the PC may have fast-thinking as well. Alices such as Flying Alice can help to temporarily increase Dexterity as well. Perception: Particularly the attribute that helps to have strong senses, keen ones that gains premonition of danger, either via hints or the PC's eyes and ears. The use of Perception varies. Taking proper guesses through hints from words or certain happenings alone, or strong instincts that allows the PC to feel blood-lust, killer intent, violent aura, evil vibes, etc. or simple feeling of a coming attack, or someone about to make a move. It is necessary for either figuring things out, or taking action at the correct timing. Alices such as Cat-Dog Alice can be used to help temporarily increase Perception as well. Alice: An attribute that clearly shows how strong or useful the Alice is. The higher the points added into this attribute, the stronger it is. However, this may also make it harder for the owner of the Alice to control it. If the user is unable to control it properly, the Alice may: go out of control at random times, may give passive statistical effects at all times, may cause health of the user to deteriorate if the user's Alice form is Limited. Intelligence: This attribute determines whether your PC is illiterate, sane, a genius... or one of whom who is known to be insanely intelligent. Above three is required to have the career of a Teacher, and also to be a Scientist, Doctor, and the many fields of expertise that requires knowledge of any type of science. This includes even the skills and fast-paced mind required for being a software developer, to being a cunning hacker. In this RP, due to the age restrictions, PCs may not have more than two points on this attribute unless they're skilled at fields such as software development, hacking, historian, or just being a clever tactician as a middle school student. Additionally, one with higher Intelligence can use their Alices more faster and efficiently, this also means better control over their Alice. This of course doesn't include some of the members of the Technical Alice type, as they have passive intelligence supplied by Alices such as Invention Alice. Charisma: An important trait your PC would require to delve into the society. Points in this particular attribute may be used to get acquainted with others, making friends, showing leadership skills, impressing, deceiving, or even scooping information out of people via thorough persuasion. These can all be achieved through careful use of Charisma; depending on the PC's personality and the base value of the Charisma. Three or above will be required to make speeches that appropriately catches others' attention in several situations, the purpose may even be to move a person's heart, or for even acting - the motive may vary - it all ultimately leads to manipulating people with proper ways of dealing with them, and the effects can be magnified through the use of Alice; such as Sound Alice, or Pheromone Alices for example. Note: Do note that you shouldn't put points on attributes carelessly. You have to carefully explain why your PC's statistics is the way it is through the background or personality (loose implication is okay). Putting three points on Intelligence doesn't mean the PC is above average in terms of being smart, good with grades, with computer, planning, and anything. Each extra points (above 2) are meaning that your character is particularly good with something related to the attribute (I.E: three points on intelligence to mean that the student is very good at memorizing, or a good tactician). About the RP: Spoiler: - You start in this RP with your PC who is at the age of a middle schooler (13-15). The country is Japan, but area in which the events takes place is Alice Academy, where all the PCs and NPCs will be in. The time is set in the same era that we're living in. We'll go with 2009, April 10th (Spring), Monday (please guys, don't bother me so much with days like on previous RP; it's not that important). - You can't play a non-Alice. Unless the Alice of your PC has the Childhood Form. - Your character can't be a member of the Dangerous Ability Class without permission (I'll also have to confirm that the Alice of the PC can be used for harm). - Star Rankings are assigned by me, I'll be carefully looking through the PC's profile before making a decision. Most PCs will be Double Star students regardless, because a students of the Elementary School Division are required to be Double Stars before they can graduate to the Middle School Division. - I know I said I'll be assigning Star Ranks to the PCs, but I'm probably not giving out any Special Star. Mainly because most of the Special Star students are from the High School Division (except for a few exceptions like Natsume Hyuuga from the manga), and that they're known as the 'true geniuses' with formidable Alices. Hence, they'll only be there are NPCs. - Most of the Special Stars are on a league of their own (hence NPCs), either with more than one Alices, or a really strong Alice. Their statistics' limits are broken by me... because I couldn't make sense of their abilities and capabilities with 15 points (sorry about that, thought I could keep them balanced). - Forms of Alices are determined by dice rolls done for each and every PCs (this includes few of the NPCs). This is how it's done. Once a dice is rolled, if the result is: one, then it's Childhood Form. If two: then it's Diffuse. If three: Intermittent. If four: Limited. If five: I decide (hooray?). If six: you get the chance to decide (boo... ?). - The currency on Japan is usually Yen, but in the case of Alice Academy they're called 'Rabbits' ('RT' for short). Each Rabbits are worth 100 Yen. Alice Academy gives allowances to the students every month: 5 Rabbits for No stars, 30 Rabbits for Single Stars, 50 Rabbits for Double Stars, and 100 Rabbits for Triple Stars, and 300 Rabbits for Special Stars. - Every PCs will have to play as middle school students. However, you can have your PC either recently enter Alice Academy as a middle school student (so it'd only been an year or two since the PC transferred to the Academy and said PC may still be unfamiliar with some things in the Academy), or make it so that the PC has been transferred into the Academy many years ago, and naturally graduated from the Elementary School Division. - Age limit is 13-15. - This is more of a request: try to make the character creative to contribute to the uniqueness of the RP itself. There will be a few special NPCs made for the sake of the plot, but I want more interesting things in this RP. What I want are actual interactions between characters and perhaps some battles that won't drag on till the end of time. - I'll be posting results of the dice rolls whenever possible and also may give explanations as so what happens why, and for what reason - after rolling the dices. I may get lazy when I have to write too much for too many dice rolls, though. - Please don't try to make an overly-super-capable character with an overpowered Alice (unless discussed with me about it prior). - The RP will start (there will be an opening post) some time after we have the minimum amount of character profiles submitted in the thread. Minimum number of players required to have the RP started in seven (8), including me. - Please don't make an NPC on your own, unless it's your PC's relatives, if said relatives are siblings who appears on Alice Academy... well, we'll have to talk that out. - Yes, I'm making a Skype chat like every other time I do for an RP. If you don't have Skype, go get it. - It's probably obvious by now, but it may as well be a good idea to PM me the profile of your PC before you post it. I'd have to see if it's properly done and would have to assign Star Ranking and the Alice Form anyway. - Lastly, I'm not your ideal Game Master (GM) who's always right about everything. But my calls does hold weight (because I'm the GM, derp). I'll try to play this out as fairly as possible, I ask all of the prospective players to bear with me. Above all things, let's all have fun, but within the reigns of the rules. Terminology: Spoiler: Note: Ignore this section if you've watched the anime or manga series (because it's a wall of text). However, I'd ask people who haven't watched the anime or manga series to take some time to get familiar with some of the terms and systems that have been adopted into this RP via the series. Most information are given in order to avoid confusions (pretty much spoiler-free). The Gakuen Alice wiki still has much more information, so you may visit that site if you want to learn more. However, be warned that the wiki's pages definitely contains spoilers here and there. This section is for those who barely knows anything about the terminology of the series Gakuen Alice. So basically, this section contains some basic facts from the series. I might have missed a thing or two though, I'll add any such thing if do I realize it. ----------------- Alice: In Alice Academy, each student has a special ability, or power, called an "Alice". This is something special one can be born with, whether they like it or not. It is speculated that most of the Alices' parents are also Alices. Alices can be grouped in several ways, such as in types, which describes the affect of the Alice, and Form, which describes how often the power can be used. The power level is categorized via Star Ranking. There are five Alice types: Latent, Technical, Somatic, Special and Dangerous types. There are four Forms of Alices: Childhood, Diffuse, Intermittent and Limited. Alice Academy: A school in Tokyo, Japan for children born with Alices. When they (government or the academy) find one, they would try to bring the child to this school. Students of Gakuen Alice may not leave until graduation or they if no longer have their Alice. They may write letters, but letters leaving and coming to Gakuen Alice are being screened. The school also gives money to the parents of the students who attend the school. Gakuen Alice consists of four main parts: Elementary School branch, Middle School branch, High School branch and Central Town. Also, there are a lot of forests around the buildings, with names like 'Northern Woods' etc. The Northern Woods is a place feared by many children. Gakuen Alice's school courses are no different from any other school, there are regular courses such as Math and History. However, the big difference is that the students and teachers have Alices. The students can not use their Alice ability during class without permission. There are also Alice based classes for students to attend to learn how to use their Alices. Students are ranked in a Star Rank system by good behavior and grades. The school is separated from the outside world with a tall gate that surrounds the whole area. The gate is dangerous to cross over, because those who do are electrocuted. Once someone passes the gate, the teachers are notified and actions - to return the student to the school - are taken. Other than the gate, the school is also protected by a powerful barrier. Not much is known about the creation of the school and its history. What is known is that the three principals: Principal Kuonji, Himemiya, and Kazumi Yukihira, have been the Elementary, Middle, and High school principals for as long as anyone has remembered. The school is intended to be a place of protection for young Alice users and where they learn how to use there Alice powers. The high security precautions are due to Alices getting kidnapped for their abilities; having them be regarded as "national treasures", as such, the academy has continued to have strict policies of protection for the students from since a very long time, probably from when it was formed. Elementary School Branch: This is the part of the academy where children from the age of 3 to 12 study. Class A (for kids from 3 to 9) and Class B (characters from the anime or manga series were in this class) are in this branch. Middle School Branch: This is the school for students whose age range from 13 to 15. It is also known to be the gossip nest of the academy. This is the division in which our RP will be focused on, as most of the PCs and student NPCs (even teachers) are of this division. High School Branch: The school for the oldest students. No one else except the high schoolers are permitted to go there. No one exactly knows what happens there. There's a rumor that a warp-hole exists in there. There are also strange looking sculptures around the school, which were apparently made by Alchemy Alice, which attacks anyone uninvited. Central Town: A place (image) where Gakuen Alice students can go and spend their money, but must get permission to go first. Strange and unique items can be bought there from Alice merchants. It is stated that it was made by people with Carpentering Alices for other Alices. Students' I.D medals: The students carry I.D. medals that fit in a wallet along with their respective I.D. cards. The I.D. medal has the student's I.D number and a transmitting device in it that was created by someone with an alchemy alice. This can be further explain via an image: click here. Rabbits: The currency which the academy follows. They're only usable in the academy, especially the central town. Each Rabbits are worth around 100 Yen. Star Ranking: In Alice Academy, every student is ranked on a Star system that is based on the individual's Alice power, grades, and good behavior, among other things. Students can receive one of five ranks: No Star, Single, Double, Triple, and Special (here is an image to further describe it). Their rank is displayed by the appropriate number of stars pinned on their shirt or cuff (wherever the student decides to pin them), and may grant them extra privileges or discipline depending on the rank. No Star: Students with No Stars are generally the youngest students in the academy (7 years or younger). They have weak Alices and poor behavior, basically being sub-average students. Since they have a No Star rank, they do not wear any pin on their shirt/cuffs. Since No Stars are generally young, they are not treated worse because of their low rank. However, some older (age 10+) Alices who manages to become a No Star ranking, they may get discriminated in many ways, it may result in the student to be: unable to go to Central Town without a chaperone, subject to extra chores, small food rations, and a general dislike by the teachers. No Stars receive a 5 Rabbit/500 yen (image) monthly allowance (about 5 dollars). Single Star: Single Stars are usually in the Elementary Division, possessing weaker Alices, good behavior, and good grades. Basically, they are slightly below-average students. Although still a low rank, Single Stars are serious students and can possess much future potential. They are represented by one star pin on their shirt/cuff. A Single Star ranking is needed to enter the Elementary Division. Single Stars revive a 30 Rabbit/3,000 yen (image) monthly allowance (about 30 US dollars), as well as regular food portions and not many benefits. Double Star: These individuals are above average, but still not particularly brilliant or special. Most students possessing a Double Star rank are in the Junior Division, but some have been seen in the Elementary Division (such as Sumire). Double Stars have strong Alices, good or great grades, and good behavior. The are represented by two star pins on their shirt/cuff. A Double Star ranking is needed to graduate into the Middle Division. Double Stars receive a 50 Rabbit/5,000 (image) yen monthly allowance (about 50 US dollars), as well as larger food rations and some extra privileges. Triple Star: Triple Star students are above-average students that have very strong Alices and great grades. It is almost unheard of for anyone other than a Senior Division student to possess a Triple Star, and so they are well regarded around the school as powerful and studious individuals. Triple Stars are shown with three star pins on the shirt/cuff. A Triple Star is needed to graduate into the Senior Division. Triple Stars receive a 100 Rabbit/10,000 yen image) monthly allowance (about 100 US dollars) with very large food portions and other multiple benefits. Special Star: Also known as "Principals", Special Star students are the true geniuses of the Academy. There are only six Special Star-ranked students in the entire Academy known currently, posing as truly gifted individuals with formidable Alices and grades. A Special star student is represented by one pin on the shirt/cuff: a single star enclosed in a circle. Special Stars receive a 300 Rabbit/30,000 yen (image) monthly allowance (about 300 US dollars) as well as many benefits and extremely large food rations. Form: Each Alice has one of four possible forms, or shapes. The form cannot be controlled by the individual, and it specifies how much the Alice can be used, and how often: Childhood: The Alice will appear in the child normally at the beginning, but disappears as the individual ages into adulthood. Once the person's Alice has completely disappeared, the individual is dismissed from the academy. Diffuse: The Alice can be used at any time but in relatively low levels of power. Intermittent: The Alice can only be used for a short period, at any time, but at a high level of power. But every time the Alice is used, the Alice shortens until the time when the user loses his or her Alice completely and is let go by the academy. Limited: The power level of the Alice is great and powerful. The Alice may be used as often and as much as desired. However, every time the Alice is used, the user's body deteriorates. Eventually, because of the overusing of the Alice, the user dies an early death. Alice Class/Types: At Alice Academy, classes based on Alices are where students explore their powers in their designated class. Classes are separated in five categories: Latent Type: Latent Alices have to do with "ESP" abilities, and are commonly associated to superheros. Most of the students of the Academy have Latent-type Alices. It's class is the most popular one in the academy. Technical Type: Alices with technical abilities usually has Alices which creates something. Those in this class tend to work independently and sell their works to sponsors. These sponsors help support the club. Inventions by this class are very popular during the Alice Festival. Somatic Type: Somatic Alices include powers related to physical and pheromone manipulation. Basically, these Alices physically change or enhance their users, or the person the Alice is targeted at. Special Type: Students with Alices that do not quite fit in the other groups are put into the Special-type, and so the Alices in the class are usually rare and one of a kind in the Academy. It is the smallest class by far, and the rest of the students think low of individuals with Special Alices. Special-type Alices include, but is not limited to, Nullification, ability to 'live in the mirror world', or even Shadow Manipulation. Dangerous Type: Students with Alices of this type are put into the Dangerous Ability class and forced to do secret missions for the school. The Dangerous Ability class is moderated by the mysterious masked teacher, Persona. The students in this class are also unable to participate in some of the events of the school. One example of a student with a Dangerous Ability is Aoi (the Fire Alice user of this RP) whose Fire Alice has the Latent Type, but is so strong and potentially harmful that it is in the Dangerous Ability Type. Alices Stones: Also called brinjals, those with Alices are able to make Alice Stones, which are stones that have their Alice power in them. These stones are differently colored and the deeper the pigment of the stone, the more feelings and Alice power is applied to it. A legend in Gakuen Alice is that if a couple exchanges Alice stones, they are soul-mates. Also, by using the Stealing Alice one can steal an another's Alice ability and receive an Alice stone(s). Those with the Stealing Alice can further utilize these stones by inserting it others using the Insertion Alice, giving them a "Temporary Alice". Restraints: If one's Alice is considered too strong and a danger to themselves or others, they are usually expected to wear Alice restraints. They come in many forms, commonly seen as accessories; earrings, necklaces, hats, bracelets, masks, etc. Wearing these items will limit the Alice power of the wearer. There is apparently a Black Cat mask which is said to be the strongest restraint, and can only be removed by a teacher. Alice Festival: The Alice Festival is one of the three main events at Alice Academy. The Ability classes (except the Dangerous Ability class) each host a booth. At the end of the festival is an Alice Festival dance, which is a masquerade dance where a legend says the last pair to dance becomes soul-mates. Booths hosted by each Alice classes: Latent - Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan Ride. Technical - Auction of various inventions. Somatic - Snow White in the Woods Play, Alice in Wonderland ride. Special - Aladdin RPG. Sports Festival: It takes place in Spring time, and is a major event that all Alice Academy students look forward to. The school is split up into two teams, the Red team and the White team. The Red team consists of the Special Ability group and the Latent Ability group. The White team has the Somatic Ability group and the Technical Ability group. The Dangerous Ability types are aloud to choose which team to join and are split around 50/50. The Sports Festival includes events such as an obstacle course, relay race, a borrowing race, a cheer-leading contest and "horse race". During the festival all Alices are only allowed to use their Alice three times. They have a sticker on them that keeps track of the amount of times you have used your Alice. Once a student uses their Alice three times, the sticker automatically becomes an Alice surpresser. If the Alice if used anyway the sticker will burst, causing the user to faint. That team is then disqualified from the event. If someone removes someone else's sticker on purpose their team will also be disqualified. Violence is also not allowed, and if you hurt someone, with or without you Alice, your team will be disqualified and you will receive a punishment. Not included in the rules at the beginning, but another way to be disqualified from an event is to have the wrong person participate in an event without permission or notification Christmas Ball: The Christmas Ball preparations are done on December 23th the day before the Christmas Ball. The student body including teachers are divided into two teams, the "Decorating Team and the "Cake Team". It is a choice on what team one wants to be on, but if one team gets too many volunteers, a drawing is done. The preparations are all done in the building of the ball itself. The Cake Team's job is to make a giant cake for the Christmas Ball, and other various desserts such as a solid chocolate cake. The Decoration Team's job is to decorate the ballroom, as well as the giant Christmas tree. The ball officially starts on December 24th or Christmas Eve. Students are dressed in Christmas outfits to celebrate the occasion. The schedule of the day as followed is Free Time, the Gift Exchange, a Pie Competition, Caroling Teams, and the Masquerade Ball. Students are given Christmas outfits to wear to the ball. The girls outfits have two types for each division and boys only one type for each division. Although, the Elementary section boys have two types of Christmas outfits for some reason. Hana Hime Festival: The Hana Hime Festival or Flower Princess Festival is a special event hosted by the Middle School Principal, Himemiya. Due to Himemiya's preference, men are not allowed to go. The invitees are expected to go to the Hana Hime Den where the event will be held and dressed in kimonos. Treats and desserts will be served at the party. At the event invitees will receive a Hana Hime name. The nicknames have a flower meaning to it. Hana Hime Den: Hana Hime Den is the location the Hana Hime Festival and where Himemiya resides. It is incredibly large and spacious, so someone not familiar with the den could easily get lost. The den is safeguarded by Himemiya's Barrier Alice and, because she lives in the den, her Alice is at its strongest at lowering Alice power of Alices. Deep within the Hana Hime den is a dungeon which apparently has a rumor which says that a monster once locked inside it due to it being very dangerous. Effect: The Soul Sucking Alice allows the user to control others and leave a bite-like mark behind after sucking some of the person's soul out. The power is not limited only to creating perfect duplicates of self, but also all the items the user is wearing (clothing, shoes, etc.). Each of the duplicates carries very distinct personality individually. The doppelgangers can also be absorbed back which also makes the user gain: memories, knowledge, and skills of the duplicate. Some passive effects of other Alices may be dispelled by the user through subconscious use of the Alice, one of said effects makes the user immune to Pheromone Alices. Effect: The Invention Alice, gives the user the ability to invent many unusual and/or helpful things depending on the user's mental state and mood. Range of Effect: Small-Long. Map of Alice Academy: Spoiler: Alice Academy is the place where your PC is going to be living in. Despite this fact not being largely known to the general public; it's a very large campus, to the point that it's awe inducing to those who first enters it. An academy which is backed up internally by the Japanese government, one would think that the way the academy is, is rather befitting. The following image is the map of the academy provided in the manga: There are many unique places in the academy: A: National Alice Headquarters - The place where the teachers apparently reside in. Meetings between teachers, or even principals, as well as officials from the government in charge of the Academy - for making decisions for anything important also takes place in this place. B: Central Town - A town that is mostly comprised of shops, and places that provides entertainment services of many kind. It may not seem like it, but it's made with the use of Alchemy Alice alone. C: Elementary School - The school branch that teaches children from the age of 3-12. D: Elementary School Dorm - Where elementary school students stays in. E: Mr Bear's Guard Cottage - Home to a mysterious bear in the Northern Forest, of which it's builder is unknown... As one of the 'strange things that exist in the Northern Forest', the bear is known to be a guardian of the forest. It is rumored that the bear is dangerous, despite it's appearance. F: Middle School - The school branch that teacher students from the age of 13-15. All PCs are students on this particular school branch, as well as some of the NPCs (and some NPC teachers as well). G: Middle School Dorm - Where middle school students reside in. This is where the PCs and student NPCs will have a room in. H: High School Dorm - Where High school students will stay in. I: High School - The school branch which teachers students over the age of 15. Only high school students are allowed to go there, any uninvited guests are attacked to keep them away. Catching her before she fell onto the floor, Ine surprised herself with the speed at which she reached out. ”Jeez” She said, puffing her cheeks up to extraordinary levels ”You really are pushing yourself”. Gently Ine placed Ichigo’s head onto her lap. ”There, there” She smiled, stroking Ichigo’s long golden hair, ”You rest for as long as you want” she said to Ichigo, even though she knew there was no way she could hear her.

”I shall take care of her now,” a male voice resounded across the air, even before he spoke, Ine could somehow feel an approaching existence, her thoughts were confirmed with the echoing sounds of stomping. The man was tall, and his dress was full black. His skin was pretty, translucent and he wore different - expensive looking rings on each of his fingers. Earrings could be also be seen reflecting sunlight vaguely. He wore a white mask that covered the upper portion of his face. He seemed to have fuzzy and spiky hair - it was Persona.

Looking up from Ichigo, Ine saw the man in black. She was taken aback by his size, but quickly regained her composure. ”What are you going to do with her?” Ine asked, uncharacteristically coldly.

”Nothing special, really. It’s doctor’s orders to take her to the hospital. She did escape the hospital to attend school today,” Persona coldly stated, his lips only moved to pronounce words. He was completely expressionless, as if like a robot. It seemed that he was truly the type to follow orders properly to the end.

”Eh?” She questioned. She looked down at the girl resting on her lap, You push yourself way too hard, Ichigo-san. Looking back up at the man, she readied herself to make a rather selfish request. ”Can I come too? To the hospital” She was unwilling just to let Ichigo go and leave her with Persona, even though she knew she could be of no use to her.

”I cannot validate it. Any students in the hospital are currently forbidden if they’re only going to visit or to keep a patient company. It’ll stay that way till the Alice Festival starts, because we can’t have the idol cancel yet another concert, the Principal will not allow it,” as Persona explained, he took slow steps, at the end of his last sentence, he finally reached Ichigo and Ine, and took her off from Ine’s lap, and carried her in his arms. Then walked into the darkness of the alley.

”Ah!” Ine said, not even having the time to react. As she slowly got up and dusted herself down she realised she had to get back to the others. Walking back to where they were she wondered if Ichigo was going to be ok. Upon seeing everyone, she forced a smile and waved energetically. ”Hey!” She called out to them.

”Ah, welcome back, Ine-san! Have you seen Ichigo around anywhere? We were thinking that it was about time we head back,” Aoi asked as she waved back to the returning Ine.

”Ichigo-san said she had some other business to attend to” Ine lied as she reached the group.

Aoi looked down, showing signs of her feelings of melancholy, but smiled regardless, ”Ah, I see.”

”She probably had unfinished business, like usual,” Amelia added, still enjoying her Howalon. Amelia loved to savor the taste, so she usually eats them very slowly. She then stood up, ”Let’s go, shall we?”

”Yeah,” Aoi picked up Ichigo’s Howalon box, and toppled her own small box over it that Ichigo bought for her today, and decided to walk with them all the way back to the dorm. She’d have to run around the campus as she’d then need to head for her Alice class.

Sono stood up, not surprised with how Ichigo didn’t come back, Heh, as expected he thought. Ichigo was mysteriously busy, even he as a member of the Dangerous Ability class felt out of loop recently. Despite Amelia filling in - who seemed to be trying to keep up with the happenstances - she too, seemed confused. Sono felt curious, but he couldn’t be bothered to figure it out, for now.

Upon leaving Mio, Sakura headed to her Alice class. As she made her way there, she wondered why she followed Mio in the first place, I guess I was just bored. Not like I had anything else to do, Sakura thought to herself.I wonder if I’ll learn anything today though. I guess I better not have my expectations set too high, Sakura said to herself internally as she laughed a bit. Before she knew it, Sakura had arrived at her class. Sliding the door open, she went ahead to find a seat to sit on. As she made way to a seat, the others who seemed to be busy playing cards games or just lazing around waved her hands and said hi, likewise, Sakura responded in a similar manner, but more reserved, Guess I’ll just wait for class to start now.

A girl with strawberry-blond hair approached Sakura casually, ”Yo! †˜Sup?” she asked, lazily walking to her - it was Harada Misaki, ”With the Alice Festival coming up, where do you think we should visit? There are all sorts of nice attractions held by the Latent types, Somatic types, and especially the Technical types!” she said, excited.

“Hello Harada-san.” Sakura happily responded “Umm, I wouldn’t know really this is my first year here you know Harada-san. Though aren’t we gonna do something ourselves also?” Sakura asked curiously.

”Ehh? We probably wouldn’t. Last year we did something, but no one paid us a visit. We’re the most unpopular and useless band of students, so we usually end up enjoying ourselves instead!” Misaki said, not really interested in doing a lot of work just to witness failure.

“Eh, really? I was really looking forward on working on something for a festival for once.” Sakura said with a bit disappointment. In her previous school she never had a chance to work on or attend any festivals at her school due to not getting along with any of her classmates and having to go home to attend to all the chores that had to be done. “I guess it wouldn’t be bad to just visit other attractions. What would you like to visit Harada-san?”

”W-Well, if you really want to do something, we could do a small poll amongst ourselves. I doubt anyone wants to do anything this year, though. People just don’t come to us… “ Misaki sighed, then continued, ”I’m pretty interested in what the Technical types will come up with this year. They always make the strangest and most amazing attractions. Things more amazing than rollercoaster, I wonder what they’ll do this time… !”

“Don’t worry about it! I don’t really want to force others to do something they don’t want to do. I just never experience a festival before, so I was curious how it worked out. Anyways, lets go check out their attraction then when the festival comes then.”

Misaki was perplexed when Sakura stated that she never took part in a school festival before, ”Wait, your previous school never held a festival, why?”

“Well, they did have festivals. It’s just that I was never ever able to partake in them. I always had to go to shopping right after school and take care of chores at home since my parents were always busy with work. The one time I was gonna be able to participate, I got in a fight with my classmates.”

Chores for parents, huh? What a tough life that must have been, Misaki commented mentally, but without uttering a single word regarding it, Sakura probably had deeper reasons for having to do this. As a child who mostly grew up here, she couldn’t fathom the possibility of poverty, ”Eh? Fight? Were you a delinquent?”

“I’m not a delinquent!!” Sakura said angrily. She had never liked being called one, despite the fact that her teacher at her previous school always believed she was one. Sakura suddenly realized she had no reason to get angry over a question, “I’m sorry about that. No, I wasn’t a delinquent it’s just… I’m sorry I really don’t want to talk about it.”

”Well, no biggie, I’m all ears if you want to talk about it someday though. You’re
probably just the type that loses control over emotions really easily,” Misaki took a guess regardless, being insensitive for once.

”It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Superm- Mio!” Mio dramatically stepped out from behind the door, making a surprising entrance was one of the duties of a hero after all. A few dirt patches were visible on her clothes from when she tripped over on her way to her Alice Class, ruining her perfect entrance, however Mio didn’t care as she was too excited for the Alice Festival. “You may have wondered why the great Mio has been absent, however fear not! I’ll be here available twenty-four seven for the Alice Festival! Is there anything I can help with?” She asked with sparkling eyes.

“Amahane-san, what are you doing here!?” Sakura asked, surprised to see Mio here of all places. She immediately remembered saying how she was probably from the Latent type class. Now she wondered how far she may had been from the truth.

The now familiar voice of Mio’s new classmate immediately froze the smile on her face. ”Hi... Hii... Hiiragi-san….?” This time rather than knives of depravity, guilt was cutting Mio’s heart to pieces. No way… It can’t be… “You’re also in the Special Alice Type class?!”

”Yes, but what do you mean by †˜also in’? Aren’t you in already the Latent Type Class, Amahane-san?”

A strained laughter escaped from Mio’s vocal chords. Guess I can’t avoid it any longer... “I.. I never said I was, I… I’m in the Special Alice Type Class too!” She blurted out, forcing the depressing truth from her mouth.

“Oh, sorry about that I guess since I heard you say that you had Heroic abilities. I just assumed you were in Latent Class.”

Hearing the forbidden words, Mio squatted in a corner of the classroom and drew imaginary pictures on the ground while quietly reciting the reason for her blue screen of death. “Latent... ahaha... Latent…”

”Sorry to rain in on your melodramatic parade but… we’re probably not doing anything for the Alice Festival this time~!” Misaki lazily said from the seat under the table on the other side of the spacious room.

†˜Not doing anything...’ Not doing anything?! Mio instantly snapped back to reality. “But Harada-san! We can’t not do anything! It’s the Alice Festival!”

”Ehhh? But no one comes to whatever we prepare. Isn’t it like a huge waste of time?”

Misaki’s attitude was unacceptable from Mio’s point of view. For Mio, giving up is the bane of her existence. “Maybe we just had a bad idea! That doesn’t mean we should stop trying!”

”Can I ask what you guys made last year?”

”We did… probably the rest house? We were being lazy so it was perfect! We had a cool show of weather changing thing inside the house, though. I wonder whose idea was that… well, whatever!”

Sakura stayed silent for a minute upon hearing Misaki respond.”Harada-san who would come to something like that when festivals are suppose to be about having fun and not resting!!”

”But people don’t come even after doing something exciting! Well, that’s how it has been for many years now.”

”Can I ask what exciting things has the Special Alice Class has tried doing?”

”No idea, but this has been a long-running streak. I doubt anyone cares about what we do anymore.”

”I wouldn’t be surprise if all the Special Alice Class ever tried doing was a rest house” Sakura mutter

“I suggested that we could do a crime scene investigation simulation, but no one voted for it.” Even now, Mio still hadn’t forgotten how there were only two arms raised for her idea. Both arms belonging to none other than herself.

”Anyway! We’re doing nothing after all!” Misaki said, trying to ignore the two rebels, as sweat ran down at the back of her head. It was tiresome arguing with these two.

Mio knew, deep down, that there was no way the others would support her side of the argument. However, despite her desire to not give up, the anger within her had risen to the point where she had to let it out. “Harada-san, you meanie!” Holding back her tears, after all there is no such thing as a crying hero, Mio dashed out of the room.

”Amahane-san, come back!! Class is about to start!” Sakura screamed as Mio ran out of the room.

Katsucha

Miya finally made it to the Special type Alice class, rolling into the room with her jet black wheelchair, ”Is Hiiragi-kun here today?” Miya asked, looking around. She soon found her within sight after analyzing the spacious yet untidy room, ”Ah, there you are. I shall teach you some basic facts about Alices today, since the festival is approaching, I must make haste, so listen carefully, okay?” Miya then picked up a chalk stick and moved back to the board, then started drawing figures. Unlike Narumi, she draw four figures of children, and drew tiny stars around them. It took some efforts to draw from a wheelchair, but it seemed like Miya was very used to it.

“Yes, Miya-sensei,” Sakura cheerfully answered, happy that she’d be learning something at last. She took out a notebook from her bag, as well as stationery items to take notes of. Sakura wondered what the Alice Festival had anything to do with her Alice usage, though. Not like they would prepare an attraction for the festival.

”I’ve already spoken with Amelia-kun, so I know what she told you about so far regarding Alices. Now, we shall begin,” Miya then completely changed her expression, ”Other than the Alice types, there are also forms of each and every one of the Alices. They also have their own length of lifetimes, and a certain degree of power. In other words, every Alices are unique in their own way, even two Alices who possess the Telekinesis Alice would have different volume of power, and their Alices’ lifespans would also vary,” Miya explained from over her wheelchair. The others looked with much disinterest, they probably heard this lecture a few times already. They’d be noisier than usual, but with Miya teaching someone, they’d face the wrath of their teacher if they went overboard with their gossips and card-game plays.

“I see,” Sakura said as she wrote down the parts she thought were most important. She made terse and concise notes about the uniqueness of the Alices and how they have their own life-spans to get them in her paper as fast as possible,“Wait, lifespan of Alices?!” Sakura blurted out a question upon realization.

Miya turned to Sakura from the board, ”Yes, it’s a separate lifespan from the lifespan of our own body,” she then turned back towards the board to continue her earlier explanation, ”Despite the uniqueness of the Alices, we categorize for the sake of simplicity and division of students for the ease of education provided by the teacher staff of the academy. We wouldn’t want to teach over 50 students in a single room at the same time, would we? So, we categorize them based on their Alice, and provide them appropriate guidance. The moderators of each Alice type class are very experienced with the respective types, as they’re also a member of the said type.”

Sakura took more notes, about why the types and division of students via types and forms are done. She assumed such a question may be asked during an examination. This is untrue as there are no examinations based on a subject of Alice. The reasoning is simply an excuse in the first place because it is easier to teach after the division is done. As each type of Alice has their quirks, and it’d be a mess to deal with them if they’re grouped under one section. With types and forms it feels more organized. However, types and forms were discovered mostly to please to curious scientists. Miya couldn’t tell that to her students, however.

”Now,” Miya pointed with her chalk towards the top left figure she drew from her wheelchair. This was a figure with stars around it, there were no distinctions, unless one counted the amount of stars around the figure, it was considerably shorter when compared to the other figures, ”Alices with this form loses their Alice when they’re young; usually at childhood. This is called the Childhood Form. It’s not like their Alices are weak, nor very strong, but they usually exhaust themselves very quickly. There was a student who lost his Alice last year, he had the Weather Alice which changed the weather based on his mood. For example, if he felt sad, it’d get cloudy, if he cried, it’d rain.”

“Sensei, what happens when the lifespan of an Alice runs out for a student in the academy, then?” Sakura asked, curious. She wondered if she’d still be studying in the academy even after her Alice ran out.

”Ah. Those who loses their Alice in any way are asked to leave,” Miya could see Sakura’s face turn pale as she added, ”In other words, they get kicked out, and are thus sent back to their family. Naturally, the money that the government pays also stops after the student leaves the academy.”

”She didn’t have to put the last part that way… “ Misaki mumbled to herself as a bead of sweat ran down at the back of her head.

Sakura sincerely wished to not have this particular form of Alice. Looking down at her desk with thoughts of worry as sweat ran down her face. Getting kicked out would mean that her parents would suffer again from a lack of proper income. Her sacrifice would be meaningless… not that she had a good life previously. She also started to like the academy. This seemed to provide a more higher-quality lifestyle, and she was finally starting to appreciate it. Losing it would feel quite bad. Unlike her previous school lives, she found some good people here amongst a few bullies. I really hope I don’t have the Childhood Form. God, please, just please no!

”Now, onto the next Alice form,” Miya shifted her focus to the top right figure that had many more stars around it, ”This is known as the Diffuse Form,” Miya begun, ”An Alice with Diffuse Form is a form which almost never runs out when the user is young. At least after the age of 20, there may be premonitions experienced by the Alice regarding the end of their Alices’ lifespans,” Miya then looked at Sakura if she were paying attention, then continued, ”Other than that, Alices with the Diffuse Form are known to be the most common for generations now. These Alices can’t be used very frequently, but their effects are very minimal, and they last longest usually. Of course, depending on the uniqueness of each users, some Alices of the Diffuse Form can still be quite formidable. Understood?”

Sakura continued taking notes, she was however, wondering what form her Alice was. She wondered if there existed a way to determine her own Alice form. It’d be stressful considering the possibility of having the Childhood Form, too.

Miya then moved her chalk from the top right figure, to the lower left one. This particular figure had many stars, but was enclosed with a circle, ”This is the Intermittent Form. This is the opposite of the Diffuse Form. This Alice has a short lifespan, but unlike the Childhood Form, this may last for as long as possible if the Alice can be preserved properly. Whenever the Alices of this form are used, they’re usually stronger than usual, but only when the Alice is in proper control,” Miya explained. Then looked back at Sakura again, she seemed to be writing notes diligently.

“S-Sensei, would you happen to know what form my Alice is?” Sakura asked, hoping Miya wouldn’t say that she has the Childhood Form.

”Um, there is no way for to tell for sure. It’s something you have to notice and understand from the usage of your Alice. It is your Alice, after all, but if it were the Childhood Form, you’d have lost the Alice an year or two ago,” Miya answered, noticing the root of her worries, she then pointed towards the last figure to the lower right, ”However, if it’s this form, you’ll know from just using the Alice, at one point,” Miya stated, and continued after making a very serious expression, ”This is known as the Limited Form,” the figure was encircled with not just a circle, but it was also under one large star. However, the figure was drawn in a way that it was covering it’s mouth with it’s hands… ?

”The Limited Form Alices are exceptionally powerful Alices. Their potential is known to be groundless as they never seem to run out regardless of age,” Miya stayed silent for a few seconds, then sighed before moving on with the explanation, ”However, after a certain point, when they use their Alice, they harm their body and health… “

Sakura felt relieved upon hearing Miya say that she doesn’t have the Childhood Form. Though, upon hearing about the Limited Form, Sakura wondered how bad the harm usually is, “Um, Sensei how much do they get hurt from using their Alice?” Sakura wondered, It probably just immobilizes them for a day or two.

”It’s usually more dependent on the uniqueness of the Alices themselves, but normally, once the Alice is used - after a certain period of time - the user will experience the deterioration of their health. This typically results in a fit of coughing, which leads to them coughing out blood. Those who overuses their Alice usually don’t live enough to even grow up to be an adult.”

Katsucha

Upon hearing the explanation of her teacher - Miya, Sakura stayed silent for a few seconds. She couldn’t believe there was such a Form like this. Why would anyone want something like this, was the thought that kept repeating itself over and over in her mind. “S-Sensei, how exactly will the person tell early on that they have this Form? Or do they start coughing blood from the very start after using their Alice once…?”

”No, no one suffers from the get-go. It only starts after a certain age. It is possible for the worsening of health to start after the age of 10, however. Every Alice has to be attentive towards their own Alice and realize it’s extent of effects and take hints of their form - if any - and even compare their Alice with that of others so that they can draw a line for what’s a minimal or what’s a strong effect… not that anyone does it here,” Miya looked at her other students lazing around, including Misaki. She closed her eyes and stated a matter of fact, ”Most people are too lax and take it for granted.”

”...What’s the point, though? Just having fun is enough!” Misaki complained in response to Miya’s words. She didn’t want to get all teary and emotional after finding an Alice with the Intermittent or a Limited Form, after all.

“I wish just having fun would be enough...” Sakura muttered upon hearing Misaki’s response, “Sensei is that all the forms?”

”Well,” Miya tossed her chalk directly at Sakura, which correctly landed on her forehead, ”I did drew four figures, you should know better!” punishing her students for not paying attention was a part of her job, or so she believed. Miya then allowed her shoulders to rest; she reverted to her old and relaxed form, ”Hm, I suppose we should have you train your Alice too…”

“I just wanted to make sure. I’m still trying to understand Alices better, Sensei,” Sakura said as she rubbed her forehead. “Will you train me on using my Alice today or.. do you want to do it tomorrow, Sensei?”

”Mnm… I still have some time, but I can’t help you with my Alice. You need someone else for help,” Miya stated, making a cold smile, ”Maybe if you could offer me an organ from your body, I might help you with my Alice, though~!” she said with a scary tone of voice.

“Someone else’s help it is~!” Sakura said, smiling back at Sensei, trying her best to hide how scared she felt from Miya’s response.

”What a bummer! Too bad!” Miya cursed, then returned to her usual smile, ”I’m sure that your Alice is going to need someone who can physically inflict damage on you, or someone with something like a Somatic type Alice that works continuously for some seconds, so that you can try to literally stop their Alice from working.”

At that moment, Sakura looked at where Misaki was at, “Umm, Harada-san would you help me train my Alice please?”

”Mn!” Misaki nodded, ”But with me, it might be harder than you think!”

“How so?”

Misaki said with confidence, ”Because my clones are tough and solid!”

“Oh, thats perfect!” Sakura said happily. “It should be easier to tell if my Alice is working like that… but Sensei, how to I activate my Alice? I don’t know how I used it the first time.”

”Then you just have to remember, it’s something you have to discover on your own, especially because we barely ever had a student with your Alice.”

”The problematic part about your Alice getting trained by mine is that it might not work because my Alice is too strong!” Misaki boasted with confidence, but sweated on the inside.

“Then Sensei, how many others have there been with my Alice?” Sakura asked becoming curious. “And I’ll be in your care Harada-sensei”

”Hmm, let’s see… probably none?” Miya answered with an uncaring manner. Even if she knew, she couldn’t tell that to Sakura. Anyone would feel needlessly cautious after learning that the academy is keeping a very close eye on them. Sakura was such a case. Miya added, ”The Special types are a band of people with strange and out-of-trend Alices, after all.”

”Haha… so you picked me in the end after all, there goes my lazing-times,” Misaki muttered, dejected.

“None, really? Here I thought I could look for information to understand my Alice better,” Sakura sighed.

”Just goes to show how rare your Alice is.”

“Well, thank you, Sensei!” Sakura said, smiling. “Oh, Harada-san, for helping me I’ll treat you to some sweets once I get my allowance.”

”Ooh, nice! But do you even know where to get sweets in Alice Academy?” Misaki asked, then looked at Miya, ”Sensei, when is Sakura getting her allowance, anyway?”

”Mnm… the headquarters probably intends to give them from next month on, but I’ll see if I can get the transfer students’ allowances tomorrow.”

“Thank you, Sensei. Oh and Harada-san, I was hoping you would show me, unless you wouldn’t mind sweets made by me if I could get a hold of a kitchen and ingredients.”

”I haven’t had Howalon in ages so I’ll show you around the Central Town some time,” Misaki said, accepting the fact that she has to train Sakura now.

“Howalon? What’s that?” Sakura asked - confused. This was the first time she heard of such a name. Was it the name of a sweet, or something completely different, but delicious nonetheless?

”It’s the best sweet sold in the Central Town, it’s so popular that it gets sold out almost every day. It’s amazing, you should have a taste at least once.”

“I see. Well then, let’s give it a try sometime tomorrow or after.”

”Sure, I’ll join you, for now!”

”Sorry to interrupt you all but… what are you all thinking of doing in the Alice Festival this time?” Miya asked, prepared to feel disappointment from her lax students. Miya looked with disdain as most students didn’t seemed excited about doing anything.

“Well Sensei, I think we should do something. The rest of the class believes we shouldn’t. I might be the only one but... I think we should do a RPG!” Sakura said, feeling embarrassed. The idea came to her some time after her argument with Misaki, who seemed to represent all the people of the class who were wanting to just enjoy other classes’ attractions instead of working on one themselves.

An invisible pair of pricked-up puppy dog ears could almost have been seen outside the window if not for the fact that invisible things can’t be seen.

”Mn, an RPG you say? What would it be about?” Miya asked, curious. Misaki and the others couldn’t understand what Sakura was up to, but it seemed rather over the top.

Katsucha

“The RPG is about Aladdin. We are the Genies in it, while each of our guest would essentially be Aladdin. We’d prepare a maze for our †˜Aladdin’ - in it - they’ll come across us †˜Genies’ who’ll present them a challenge, or a trial, so to say. If they win, they may progress onwards, otherwise they fail and may try again by buying a new ticket. Of course, we’ll have to put some rules in place and forbid the participants from harming us †˜Genies’ in any way to make this more organized.”

“Ooh!” some people exclaimed, while the others went “That sounds like a lot of pain to set up,” but Miya liked the idea, ”I personally think this will be fun! We should prepare a good reward for the winners, but make it very hard!”

Misaki thought for a moment, too, ”Wait, now that I think about this… all of us in the Special type class have very different and odd types of Alices, we can use this fact, thus each Genie will present a totally different trial with their respective Alices. This may not be a bad idea after all!”

“What should we have that for a good reward?” Sakura asked, not having thought of it.

Excited by Sakura’s idea, Mio forgot that she was in the middle of sulking. Unconsciously unlocking the window as she slid it open and jumped in, Mio brazenly shouted out her suggestion for a good reward. “How about having your own personal hero for a week to save you from whatever troubles arise!”

”Heroes aside, she does have a point, though. Don’t they say that Genies serve humans in several occasions? Maybe we can have that, and serve the winner for a certain period of time. We can let the winner pick which Genie serves him or her.”

”H-How about three days… ? I’d love to win someone if the reward is something like that!” Miya uttered, much to Misaki and her students’ dismay.

“Then it’s sorted? Let’s get on to making the stuff then!” The prospect of doing something interesting this time fired Mio up.

”Alright guys, now that we have an interesting idea, might as well do it!” Misaki said, the others tried to find their resolve, and gave a collective †˜yeah!’ but it didn’t sounded too loud. It was better than nothing.

“I just hope this works,” Sakura thought to herself, feeling slightly worried about what would happen if it didn’t, but was happy that her idea was accepted.

Misaki stood up, after the decision was made, it was the time to actually get started. ”Sakura,” Misaki walked up to her, ”Let’s get started with your Alice training!” seeing the glimmer in Sakura’s eyes, she just couldn’t leave her in this, especially after having agreed to help her - despite being forced to indirectly with her stubbornness - she had to juggle the entire club’s progress with their newfound work and help Sakura out. She’d most likely have to leave the rest of her training to her friends from other classes, but for now she needed Sakura to make some kind of a progress, ”Sensei, will you be here to supervise?”

”Yes, Harada-san!” Sakura replied energetically. She didn’t expected to get started so soon after the discussion just now. In fact, she almost forgot about it due to the excitement from her plan that was agreed upon.

Miya glanced at her watch with a face of anxiety, ”Unfortunately, no. Now that I know that you guys will be doing something for the festival, I’ll have to go fill in the application form for you all,” Miya gave a very cold yet bland smile, ”Too bad, Hiiragi-kun, I was really looking forward to learning more about your Alice,” Miya said in a strangely serious and low voice tone. Miya’s wheelchair then helped her leave the room.

Sakura looked at Miya with earnest curiosity. Miya looked strangely serious for the very first time. This was nothing like the time when she’s teaching anything; it was creepy. When Sakura came to a realization that she seemed far more colder than usual - she felt goosebumps all over her body. Catching both the sides of her arms after feeling somewhat cold, she tried to shake Miya’s face off her imagination, I must have imagined it!! she kept repeating mentally, as if chanting a mantra that would disperse perverse thoughts from her mind.

”Huh? Was I imagining that?” Misaki said, seeing Miya’s face, but kept the rest of the thoughts to herself, Is her Alice that rare and special? she sighed, ”Alright, let’s get started!” Misaki exclaimed. A clone of her body appeared right beside her - her Doppelganger Alice was activated. ”See if you can nullify my Alice. Focus on my clone or something, try to remember how you used your Alice the first time.”

”I’ll brawl with you if that’ll help!” Misaki’s clone said, taking a stance and facing Sakura.

Already tasked with the shopping trip to Central Town, Mio had been writing down the materials they would possibly need to create the RPG. However she glanced up with curiosity when she noticed that Misaki was doing something other than directing the planning. “Hiiragi-san, you’re doing alice training with Harada-san?”

“Yes, since I still have no clue how my Alice works.” Sakura replied to Mio, then turned to face Misaki ”And thats fine with me Misaki-san!” Sakura said happily.

If her Alice is to nullify other people’s Alices then I guess I won’t be able to help her train with mine... Mio dejectedly sighed, once again unable to help others with her Alice. She quickly cheered herself up though by thinking that at least she was able to help with the Alice Festival preparations. “I’m off to grab some materials then! See you all later!”

Misaki’s clone made an abrupt dash towards Sakura, and almost instantly held her in a lock with her arms. Before she knew it, Misaki’s clone was about to snap both of Sakura’s arms from behind her on the floor. It seemed more like wrestling, Seems like slight difference in personality on my clone’s part… ? the real Misaki guessed. She said she’d just brawl, but she instead pulled a completely different move. Nonetheless, putting Sakura in actual pressure may help.

Caught by surprise, Sakura yelped as she was in a lock-down by Misaki’s doppelganger which ruthlessly tried to pull her arms apart. It was painful, Sakura started to really feel it, a groan slipped past her throat, “I thought we were suppose to brawl” Sakura yelled out as she tried to get freed from the hold she was put in. However, no matter how much tried to resist, the clone wouldn’t vanish; meaning her Alice was not working. Instead, she followed her barbaric instincts and somehow pulled herself and flung her leg to the down as much as possible; kicking the clone of Misaki’s butt successfully. Pushing on the soft buttocks, she managed to force herself out of the lock.

”Woah, that was reckless!” the original Misaki said. Five more doppelgangers of herself appeared, ”But the point is to not fight back with your body, but with your Alice instead!” the clones all jump over Sakura, as if trying to overwhelm with excess weight over her body so as to crush her. Misaki was reminded of a sport, but she was too lax to remember the name. This was - regardless of the point - entertaining.

“That’s too many!!” Sakura screamed as she was suddenly surprised that Misaka had summon five more clones. Sakura struggle to get the clones off her. Though as she struggle she tried to concentrate on using her Alice but she found it hard concentrating while having six people on top of her. “Get off me!!” Sakura screamed again though at that moment she felt her load get a slightly lighter.

“Ooh! One of my clones vanished!” the real Misaki exclaimed, and then all the other clones said the same thing, in a comical way. The all got off of Sakura.

“So does that mean that her Alice worked?” a boy asked, curious. He was known to make diamond dust with his Alice, which is pretty useless.

“Seems that way… it’s a step forward, definitely!” Misaki claimed with a smile.

“I guess one is better than nothing.” Sakura said a bit happily. “But was it really necessary to summon that many clones!”

“Of course! We’d only get result with severe force and weight!” Misaki claimed, “So, you remember the feeling now?”

”Umm, I think, not really sure. I did have to try and not get squashed by six other people!

“Ooh, then all we have to do is keep repeating this, right?” Misaki said excitedly, “Prepare yourself!” many more clones appeared once again - definitely more than just six.

“Umm, Misaki-san what are you doing…” Sakura said as she couldn’t understand why she summoned so much.

“The next round of brawling!” one of the doppelganger claimed.

“Eh” Sakura said, stunned. “Eeeehhhh, This is over the top, idiot!!”

As Aoi stepped out of the bus, she went for a dash. Her destination was the Somatic type Alice class. As one would figure from all the haste - she was late. Sweat ran down her face as she felt the pressure from the ticking time, I’m late! I’m late! was all that went through her mind as she solely focused on rushing. However, a different thought invaded her mind after she slowed to a brisk pace.

Taking the bus was far better than having to walk. His frail body was not used to such activity. Though even if it was with people he didn’t have a particular liking for, he had a good time. He was actually surprised when he was asked to go in the first place. People usually did their best to avoid him.

“See you around, Amelia,” said Sono as he walked off into the school. He had no intention of going to his next class. ”Yeah, same to you.”

Aoi thought about what impressions she made to others meanwhile as she continued to run for her class:.Amelia was aloof despite her best attempt at trying to hide it, it was as if she could barely hear others’ words. Kage Sono was usually strange to her, but he somehow seemed like a cool person - somewhat like her - but in a totally different sense. Ine seemed more and more like a fun person who seemed to be getting along just fine with Ichigo, but something was off, it’s as if she was keeping a look-out at something dangerous the whole time. Ichigo was being Ichigo, but she couldn’t fathom what happened to her, at all. Perhaps it was because she was new to the academy, but it bothered her nonetheless. She just couldn’t buy the whole †˜Ichigo had something to take care of’ as something ordinary and eventless.

As she remembered her trip to the Central Town with the others, Aoi thought about the people she went with. Now that she thought about it, there was only one boy with them, ”So that’s what she meant by a †˜bodyguard’, I see,” Aoi said to herself, remembering Amelia’s words. She remembered something strange, the others with her didn’t have any positive expressions at all when they boarded the bus to come back. Aoi noticed this because of her experience in acting, it is very important to read a face for an actress. Amelia seemed worried, Sono seemed ignorant, and Ine seemed plain sad. Aoi had fun, but something in her guts said that something was going on, otherwise the others wouldn’t look so negative. She’d call it her sixth sense, but behind the scenes - something was definitely going on. However, she couldn’t let her reverie delude her into wasting any more time. Aoi started her mad dash once again.

When the image of the Somatic type Alice class’s door came into her field of sight, she witnessed Narumi reaching out for it. Aoi stopped, and her panting naturally started. Narumi looked at her with a surprised face as he turned towards her after hearing the loud panting noise coming from Aoi, “You made it just in time, haven’t you, Kiriya-chan? That’s great, it’s nice to be punctual!” Narumi remarked as he slid the door open.

Aoi gave a forced smile despite being tired, and entered the class herself. Most of the faces were from yesterday. She found Shouta in the seat where he sat last time. Aoi waved her hand towards him, and made way to sit beside him. She gave a long sigh after sitting down; relieved to have made it.

Narumi today wore a simple white shirt and black pants. He still appeared feminine, accompanied by his ring and earrings, he was still a beautiful person. “Well then, let us begin,” Narumi said, then flipped a paper that seemed to contain valuable information, “Shout Alice - the Alice that creates a strong wave of dissonance, considering it’s force, it may even physical throw anyone away if they’re too close - is the report I received from investigation,” Narumi stated, then added, “It’s ear-deafening screech also may affect ears of others, but there are no permanent damage that the sound may cause to the ears of others in vicinity.”

Narumi smiled, “My, my. It seems that there are some who are out there analyzing your Alice, Fushiki-kun. So I requested for a copy of the result. Whatever the case, I, too, learned about your Alice, and now that I know what kind of an Alice you have - it’ll help us with your Alice training.”

“Wait, someone is analyzing my Alice? When did this start?”

“I’m not sure myself, but apparently there are people trying to find out if it can be dangerous. You might wanna keep in mind not to disrupt public order often, otherwise you may be sent to the Dangerous Abilities class,” Narumi warned, stating a fact.

“Ugh… That doesn’t sound good…” Shouta didn’t know what other kind of Alices could exist in the Dangerous class, and didn’t want to find out. I really need to be more careful with my Alice from here on out…

He then turned to Aoi, “I haven’t seen anything like this for Kiriya-chan. So, I’ve asked around about it. Turns out the answer was known by Miya sensei for some reason. Anyway, it seems that Kiriya-chan’s Acting Alice completely rewrites one’s optical senses once the Alice can get the attention of a person. This would be inferior to a Pheromone Alice, but then again, unlike how a Pheromone Alice will make a person pass out due to an inexperience of love, this is not the case with the Acting Alice. Still, it is similar to my Pheromone Alice,” Narumi stated.

Narumi looked at the two with a serious face, “For Kiriya-chan,” Narumi looked specifically at Aoi now, “You should use your Acting Alice with the others in here often. It should be good enough for you.”

”Really? Is that all, sensei?” Aoi asked, tilting her head. She expected something special.

“Yes!” Narumi gave a grand smile, “Your objective is to bring stability to your Alice~! You can’t put too much power, nor can you put too little!” Narumi warned her, “Otherwise something may go very wrong!” he continued, “So, you can try to impersonate others, and do small skits. You may experiment and see if your Alice works against birds or animals, of course, but don’t pick dangerous animals, please.”

”Yes! I’ll try my best!” Aoi said, very determined.

“As for Fushiki-kun, we need to find a special place for you where many won’t be devastated by your Alice,” Narumi said, pondering, “We might find a specially soundproof room somewhere in the Central Town. Maybe you can come with me,” Narumi said, feeling unsure, “Your objective is to learn to control volume. I suppose you should learn to make such low volume that it would affect people only within a small radius. So that you don’t generally annoy people publicly.”

“Makes sense… But, such a place exists?” It seemed awfully convenient to Shouta that there would be a soundproof room like that for sound-based Alices. “Also, how would I practice my volume control. Will somebody be measuring it?” He was unaffected by his own Alice the last few times he had used it, so he couldn’t tell for himself if his self-control was getting better.

“We have devices that will measure the volume level,” Narumi answered, “Of course, these are actually just rental studios where a singer or a musician practices their music, but it’ll work in our favor.”

“Oh… I see now.” Shouta had forgotten that possibility. Right… those booths are soundproof. A studio, though… I wonder if Ichigo practices there… He remembered a certain pop idol was in his class, and was interested in her music. Shouta used to listen to her sing on television at his home often, before he was taken to the Academy. If I see her, I should get an autograph!

Aoi came back to the dorms earlier than the other two transfer students today, it seemed. Entering the dorm, Aoi thoughtlessly made way for her room, but could hear voices. This is usually a common occurance people in this dorm loves to gossip about many things after banding together and gathering. They’d talk about many different rumors which apparently is very fun to kill time with.

Aoi wished she had that many people to talk to as well. Feeling slightly jealous of her peers, she ignored her feelings of envy and looked for Clara, who’d be giving her the Double Star room to her today - as she was given the Double Star rank today - this came with more privileges and more ego boosting points for her, but mostly made her feel like a more capable person - which made her happy. In reality, almost everyone in the Middle School branch had the Double Star rank. So, while she only reached everyone’s average rank, she still felt very happy today.

As she passed by the gossiping students in the corridor, Aoi heard something that caught her attention.

“Hey, hey, did you hear?”

“What rumor will you bring up, now?”

“Apparently someone saw Persona carrying Hoshimiya Ichigo-chan to the hospital!”

“R-Really?!”

“Well, it’s just a rumor. I don’t even know who this someone is, but apparently they saw it.”

“Well, rumor or no, anyone can confirm by going to the hospital, right? What’s the big deal? We prove whether the rumor is wrong or right.”

“The thing is, they won’t let you in for some reason… ”

“Oh?”

“Yeah, apparently they won’t let you in if you’re going to visit someone.”

“Why’s that?!”

“Apparently someone big is coming for a check-up to our hospital tomorrow. That person is apparently is going to be performing in the Alice Festival.”

“Who’s that?”

“You don’t know?! It’s Reo! Reo is coming to the festival!”

“S-Shiraishi-san… I had no idea that you were a huge fan of celebrities like Ichigo-chan or Reo-san!”

“Z-Zip it! A girl always have people they admire!”

“This is the first I’m seeing Shiraishi-san so flustered...”

“Well, this is the first time you’re talking to her. She talks to some of us - rarely - when not with her usual gang.”

“I just said zip it! Jeez!”

“You must really love them if you know so much about them.”

“Yeah, unexpectedly, Shiraishi-san knows all rumors and information when it concerns Ichigo-chan, now that I think about it.”

“I-Is it wrong to like Hoshimiya-san… ?”

“Haha, of course not. This is just the first time I’m seeing this side of you is all. Thought you don’t care about stuff like this.”

“Hmph! ...But, I feel really worried about Ichigo-chan. Maybe I should try to sneak into the hospital tomorrow somehow!”

“Woah, the delinquents sure are bold and know no fear!”

“Jeez!”

As everyone burst out laughing, Aoi’s face turned darker with worries, W-What if this rumor and the thing about Ichigo †˜having business to take care of’ has a connection… ? Did Ine-san knew this? Did she lied about it?! Aoi’s mind was a mess as she jumped to conclusions in an emotional state. After walking with a cold and a sweaty face, she across Clara.

“Kiriya-san, you look pale today, anything wrong?”

“N-No, everything’s fine.”

“... If you say so, I’ll be leading you to your new room now! Your luggage and belongings were already moved.”

A cold sweat ran down her face as Aoi spoke, “Ah, is that so? Please show me my room, then.”

(OOC: So these rolls were done and notes were made for when the small events took place, and actions were attempted. I got lazy and forgot to post these along with the posts. So yeah, I'm posting them all in this post.)

GM Notes:

Characters with incomplete mastery of Alice: There are few characters - including NPCs who can’t control their Alices - in this RP, currently the notable characters are: Shouta and Aoi. For such characters, a dice will be rolled based on the Alice attribute. Depending on the situation, attempt, state of mind, the requirement will be set. Regardless of the result, the Alice will work, the result will show how effective the results of the Alice would be.

Characters with no mastery of Alice: There are few characters in this RP who hasn’t learned how they may use their Alice. They may rarely trigger the Alice on, but cannot do so whenever they want, notably: Sakura and Ine. For such characters, a dice will be rolled based on their Alice attribute. Depending on the situation, attempt, state of mind, the requirement will be set. If the result doesn’t reach the requirement, the Alice will fail to activate.

State of disability: Ichigo is hospitalized. Her Strength, Dexterity are all reduced to 1, this is only because her Vocal Enchantment Alice’s passive effect is still in effect that her attributes hadn’t reached 0. Intelligence and Charisma are unaffected.

Weakened state: Amelia is still recovering from her overuse of Alice. Her Perception is reduced to 1.

Katsucha: Dice is rolled for an Intelligence check for Sakura. Requirement for success is 6.

Roll: 4

Result: 4 + 3 = 7

Effect: Sakura is able to pass the test. Mostly via her own knowledge, she hasn’t attended many classes after enrolling into this academy, but she knew some of the answers from studying even before entering the academy. Sakura scored 67 marks in the test.

Cinia Pacifica: Dice is rolled for an Intelligence check for Aoi. Requirement for success is 6.

Roll: 4

Result: 4 + 4 = 8

Effect: Aoi is able to pass the test with flying colors. She has been paying very close attention to the lessons and took notes carefully. She’s also generally very smart, and loves knowing random facts about various things, such knowledge came into use for once in this surprise test as well. Aoi scored 85 marks in the test.

BagMan: Dice is rolled for an Intelligence check for Ine. Requirement for success is 6.

Roll: 1

Result: 1 + 2 = 3

Effect: Ine gave a poor performance of her academic capabilities… if she has any, that is. She used her average level of knowledge, thus mostly wrote gibberish. It was still an attempt, yet a bad one. She scores below 24 marks in the test.

BlinkXPoke: Dice is rolled for an Intelligence check for Shouta. Requirement for success is 6.

Roll: 1

Result: 1 + 2 = 3

Effect: Shouta failed the test. He felt pressure from the sudden test, and his mind was in a mess the whole time. The mental stress ws taxing so his intelligence was already halved. He scores only 15 marks.

Montacia: Dice is rolled for an Intelligence check for Mio. Requirement for success is 6.

Roll: 3

Result: 3 + 3 = 6

Effect: Mio just barely made it to the passing score, which is 50. She hadn’t been in class recently, but as a fan of mythical, legendary and historical heroes, there is nothing Mio does not know in regards to such figures. The knowledge she collected due to this hobby came in handy for once. Mio scores 50 marks.

Montacia: Dice is rolled for a Perception check for Mio. Requirement for success is 8.

Roll: 5

Result: 5 + 2 = 7

Effect: Mio almost succeeds in finding Shouta by peeking into the correct empty room, and perhaps feels a presence after hearing a small noise, but doesn’t trust her senses this time, thus doesn’t find Shouta.

Katsucha: Dice is rolled for a Perception check for Sakura. Requirement for success is 8.

Roll: 4

Result: 4 + 2 = 6

Effect: Sakura couldn’t find a sign of Shouta whatsoever, but by being with Mio, the distance between her and Shouta was not so much. In a way, Shouta was close yet so far away from her, as he hid himself properly in the classroom.

Katsucha: Dice is rolled for an Alice check for Sakura. Requirement for success is 7.

Roll: 2

Result: 2 + 3 = 5

Effect: Sakura fails. She cannot properly remember the feeling when her Alice was first activated, nor can she understand how she can get started, instead, she gets hit by Misaki’s clone.

Katsucha: Dice is rolled for an Alice check for Sakura. Requirement for success is 5.

Roll: 2

Result: 2 + 3 = 5

Effect: From the severe pressure received as all clones of Misaki attacks, Sakura somehow activates her Alice. It was barely used, as such it only takes out one clone.

BlinkXPoke: Dice is rolled for an Alice check for Shouta.

Roll: 4

Result: 4 + 2 = 6

Effect: Shouta’s training yields positive results. He manages to lower his power’s volume twice. However, he still has a long way to go with this, and cannot pull this off unless he is in a very calm state, and maximizes his concentration.

“Cardboard and paint for the backdrops, fabric for the clothes, Arabic themed items as props... All right! I’ve got it all!” After an hour or two of getting side tracked by cute clothes and fancy gadgets, Mio finally finished buying the materials on her shopping list. It was getting rather late and Alice Classes had probably finished quite some time ago resulting in locked classroom doors, however a hero must finish their mission! Hopping onto a bus with all her gear, Mio rested her arms, tired from carrying all her shopping, for just a bit while she listened in on other people’s conversations.

Mio had noticed that the students of Alice Academy had been getting excited about something since a while ago. From the information she gathered on the bus, that †˜something’ was a celebrity named Reo who is apparently going to perform in the upcoming Alice Festival. Maybe I could get hired as a bodyguard… or maybe there will be fangirl fights that I can stop... While most people were excited about seeing someone famous, Mio was excited about the fact that there might be more missions for her to accomplish. She pulled out her notebook and jotted down interesting facts until the bus arrived at her stop. Pretending to lift up the materials as if it were as light as a feather just to keep up appearances, Mio got off the bus and trudged up to the classroom. After ensuring that the materials were safe inside the Special Type Alice classroom, Mio headed back to her dorm room for the first time in a long while.

It was the fourth day in Alice Academy for Aoi, Sakura and Shouta. Aoi was walking to school today. She couldn’t wait for her new and fancier room, much less find out what better functions and features it had. The rest of the day yesterday she was worried about Ichigo and imagined many scenarios, none were close to the truth, but they weren’t anything positive either. Her head was in a mess, and as her best friend, she was truly worried.

As she walked to the school, her schoolmates seemed to be rowdier than usual. Unlike yesterday, Ichigo wasn’t with her. She wondered if Ichigo was already supposed to be hospitalized from morning yesterday and was taken away, or did something happened in the Central Town? Aoi decided not to ponder too much about it as she slapped her cheeks with both her arms, then subsequently entered the premises with admirable architecture.

Aoi nonchalantly entered her class in the third floor. Everyone seemed to be excited, yet worried? Turned out Aoi wasn’t the only one who worried about Ichigo yesterday. The rumor about her was all over the air of the classroom, but so was the rumor about Reo. Aoi knew who this person is, she’d usually be excited, but this just came in at the wrong timing.

According to Aoi’s information - Reo is a singer. He is one of the more popular performers from Hollywood. Reo singing is apparently very good, and Aoi confirmed it herself, They really do sound great. There was just something that made her fall for him… Wait, is he an Alice? If he’s coming to this academy, the possibility is not zero! Aoi suddenly thought, what if it’s his source of popularity?

Amelia just took her seat, exact opposite to Aoi in the class. Not hesitating, Aoi immediately strolled off to Amelia, “Amelia-san, what’s this about Reo coming to our academy, all of a sudden? Have you heard about it?”

Just at this time, Shouta entered via the door close-by to the far corner of the room, and he heard Aoi’s last line. That name sounds familiar. Shouta thought, racking his brain as he found Aoi and Amelia before him, speaking to each other.

“Apparently so,” Amelia replied with a bland expression, “He’ll perform for our Festival, so he’ll have a check-up to make sure he can perform,” Amelia stated.

“Wait, is it that Reo?!” Shouta exclaimed in surprise. This guy appeared in television quite often when he’d surf around random channels.

Sono walked into class yawning. He didn’t get very much sleep, and honestly thought about just laying in bed for the day. In an effort to kick off his laziness he decided he would actually show up. As he walked in he heard his classmate Shouta yell like a giddy school girl.

“Yep, the Hollywood superstar,” Amelia replied, as she waved slightly towards the approaching Sono with a bland face.

Sono waved back before taking his seat. He had heard of the man before, but he wasn’t a fan of his music. Sono would forever be a person that listened to his classical music, and the occasional opera. He blamed his mother for his musical tastes.

Aoi looked to face Shouta, “Ah, good morning, Fushiki-kun!”

“Good morning,” Shouta nonchalantly replied. He then dropped his bag on his seat and sat beside Amelia, his attention was with the conversation.

Amelia saying this somehow felt like it just wasn’t a rumor anymore to Aoi, “T-Then as we were talking about, is Reo an Alice, as I suspected?”

“Probably, why else would he be coming here, of all places?” Shouta replied. “Perhaps it’s a similar circumstance to Ichigo?”

“Yes, yes he is,” a girly voice responded from behind Aoi, before Amelia could say anything. She turned to look behind, finding a very cute face with black hair. Her hair was only shoulder length, and she had dark red eyes. She wore a smile on her face, and Aoi noticed that she was a Double Star ranked student; much like the others - from looking at the attached small stars on her uniform.

Wait, who is that girl…? Shouta didn’t recognize her, as he’s never seen her in class thus far.

“Well, that answered your question, Kiriya-san,” Amelia said, then turned to the other figure, “Ah, Hyuuga-san. It’s been some time, are you finally okay to attend classes?”

“Yes, I am, Amelia-san. I was discharged yesterday after school,” the girl replied to Amelia with a cheerful face, “You had been taking care of me. Thank you very much,” she gave a deep bow after closing her eyes, then looked at Aoi and Shouta with much curiosity, “It’s the first time I’m seeing your face, and his too… are you two the transfer students that I’ve heard of?” she asked.

“Ah, yes I am! My name is Kiriya Aoi.”

“Y-yeah… Shouta Fushiki.”

“Oh my, we share a name, it seems, Kiriya-san,” to this, Aoi seemed tilted her head not knowing how to respond as the girl added, “My name is Hyuuga Aoi, it’s a pleasure to meet the both of you,” Hyuuga Aoi spoke in a very respectable style, even her Japanese words were pronounced slowly so that the others could easily understand her and not miss a single word she spoke. It came off as very polite and ladylike; respectable. One would even call her a Japanese †˜nadeshiko’, which emphasises true Japanese manner and beauty.

“Ooh! It’s nice to make your acquaintance as well!” Aoi happily said, impressed by the other Aoi’s fresh and flowery aura, but her expression soon turned grim as she turned around to face Amelia, “A-Amelia-san… “

“Something the matter?”

“About Ichigo… ”

“Oh, about that.”

Whoa, something happened to Ichigo!? Shouta became much more attentive to the conversation. He noticed that she wasn’t in class, today, and was curious why.

“Yes?”

“I’m sorry for keeping this from you, but Ichigo is definitely hospitalized. I can’t tell you why, though.”

“Why?! Why can’t you tell me?!” Aoi immediately burst out asking. The emotions almost overtook her, she could hardly cool herself from hearing something so important about her best friend.

“... Seriously? I wonder what happened to her… ” Shouta was almost at a loss for words, he couldn’t think what to say. Why’d an idol be hospitalized, overstrain or exhaustion? Or was it something else…

“I just… can’t,” Amelia said, turning her face from Aoi with a sour look. There was no way she could tell Aoi about Ichigo’s Starlight Alice, nor could she tell how she found out that Ichigo escaped the hospital yesterday to attend class, or the fact that her concert was cancelled, even.

Shouta wondered why, If she can’t tell, then the cause of her condition may not be something normal… ? he considered, but didn’t voice his thought regarding the case.

Hyuuga said as she looked down, “Ichigo-chan overused one of her Alice.”

“Hyuuga-san!” Amelia frowned; irritated, but she kept her voice low so as to not attract attention from the other students, “This isn’t something you’re allowed to tell,” being a member of the Dangerous Abilities class, one could learn a lot of different things - if they partake in various missions - reasons and intents are usually explained to the ones doing the dirty work for the academy. However, they’re not permitted to speak about them to the general public; they’re secret and classified information.

†˜This idiot just going around spouting information, thought Sono as he simply listened in.

“I am well aware. I see no harm in telling the truth to a person worried so much about her dear friend, however?”

“But still… “

“Really? Is that what happened?” Shouta’s eyes were wide when he heard this news. “What’d she’d need to use her Alice for? Was someone hurt?” He knew Ichigo’s Alice was Vocal Enhancement; maybe she needed to use it to help someone, like she did in the cafeteria that one day Shouta caused a large commotion. Maybe her Alice is Limited, too…?

Hyuuga shook her head, “As far as I am aware, Ichigo-chan did something †˜necessary’, unfortunately, I was not informed of the actual event that lead to her current state, Fushiki-kun,” with her calm tone and amiable manner of speaking, Hyuuga swiftly gave her honest reply. Being in the hospital doesn’t help so much, it only helps one know if someone they know is also admitted into the hospital. However, if one finds an acquaintance in said hospital, they can learn of their current condition. That’s how Hyuuga Aoi learned of Ichigo’s condition.

“Kiriya-san,” Hyuuga then turned to Aoi, “Do you want to visit Ichigo-chan?”

“Yes!”

“Hmm, we should come up with a plan, then!”

Amelia spoke in, “Wait, you didn’t come up with one? The way you asked made me think otherwise,” Amelia could feel her sweat running past the scalp of her head. This conversation almost felt criminal. Going to the hospital was especially forbidden right now due to Reo coming in today.

“Please let me come along too!” Shiraishi popped her face from the bench in front of Amelia, Shouta and Sono’s table. It seemed that she had been eavesdropping for some time now. How unsightly for a delinquent who’re supposed to be more open about things. Inversely, this somehow made her appear more like the shy type.

“Oi, can we even trust this thing?” Amelia said with a cold stare, however, she faced both the Aoi’s when she asked this while pointing at Shiraishi.

“That’s… kind of rude…” Shouta told Amelia. Since their encounter, Shouta had softened his demeanor toward Shiraishi. However, he was surprised by her sudden appearance as well. “Why do you want to come with us, though?”

“Perhaps? Or are you saying delinquents - especially the likes of Shiraishi-san who is a known troublemaker - is much less ruder, somehow?” Amelia asked, backed up by the public knowledge regarding Shiraishi, and it didn’t stop there - she even knew the exact number of times Shiraishi did anything bad in the academy, as she knows of a certain record that counts all incidents of troublemakers.

Shouta opened his mouth as if he had a response to Amelia, but realized he didn’t have a counter-argument and held himself back.

“H-Hey! I’m just worried about Hoshimiya-san is all! I’ll be good and all, I won’t cause trouble this time. So please let me!” Shiraishi begged, her eyes with squeezed as she made a praying gesture.

“Oh? Hoshimiya-san you say? That’s a lot of respect, from a delinquent… ”

“I-I’m just a random fan. Got a problem with that?!” Shiraishi yelled out, embarrassed, while Amelia snickered, apparently pulling her leg. This made Shiraishi burn brighter.

“Is that so…” Shouta commented under his breath. We might have more in common than I originally thought… He cleared his throat before telling Amelia, “She said she won’t cause trouble. We should just let her go.”

BlinkXPoke Cards and Hugs abound

“Relax, I was joking. I have been hearing that Shiraishi considerably lowered her trouble causing rates anyway,” Amelia chuckled as she answered.

Shouta sighed, “Jeez,” he was clearly relieved. Moreover, surprised that Amelia would joke like this, it even far more surprising that Shiraishi was also toning down her troubles the starting a day or two ago.

“Maybe I should ask my friend to provide us some tools,” Hyuuga said as she pondered while the others bickered at each other, “Not like he usually uses them, anyway,” Hyuuga was talking about Ing, the Technical type student who likes to invent different items. Apparently he has items meant for infiltration too. She then waved towards Ing who seemed to be sitting in his place without a care for what was happening around him.

Ing was looking at his papers on his desk, it was something that he thought that he would build. “Hmm. . .” He hummed. I know that I have the supplies but, the question is will it attract people’s attention? He said internally. He took out new papers from under his desk and began scribbling another item.

Hyuuga Aoi then walked up to Ing, realizing that he’s sucked into his own little world, she shook his body with both her hands upon reaching him on the other side of the class. Aoi, Shouta, Shiraishi and Amelia, followed suit to not be detached from the plan-in-making. Everyone except for Amelia seemed to be wanting to go, while Amelia herself wanted to simply know what would happen, and then watch the situation unfold from the back-seat; then enjoy the show.

”Wha?” He realised that Hyuuga was shaking him, ”Ohh, sorry about that. What is it that you need?” Ing said with a seemingly irritated voice.

“We plan to infiltrate the now-forbidden hospital. We need some tools that would benefit and help us in this, you see… ” Hyuuga Aoi whispered to his ears.

“Oh god,” He sighed and continued, ”Okay fine, so you need some kind of cloaking device or something to infiltrate the hospital without letting anyone knowing, huh?”

Woah, this guy has cool stuff like that? Shouta thought, Maybe I should get some equipments from this guy in the near future.

“Mn!” Hyuuga Aoi nodded, with her cute yet devilish smile.

”And for when do you need the device?”

“We’re going before recess ends. Any time you can supply us the items works. We’ll - of course - be visiting Reo and Ichigo-chan.” Hyuuga answered, with a very low tone of voice.

”Alright, meet me at the front of the Technical Workshop once class is over. I’ll have the items prepared by the time we’ll need them.” He stopped and realised that he forgot something. ”How many do you need?” Ing asked.

“Hmm… for all of us here,” Hyuuga Aoi pointed towards Shouta, Aoi, even Amelia, and herself as she answered.

Sakura arrived to the classroom later than her usual timing. She was completely sore and exhausted from yesterday’s training with Misaki. She didn’t have to summon that many doppelgangers, Sakura thought as she stretched her arms, entering the classroom. Upon entering the classroom, she noticed there was a lot of commotion going on in the classroom more than the usual. I wonder what’s going on? Sakura thought as she headed to her seat. Upon taking a seat, she noticed that Ing - who’s close to her seat - was surrounded by Aoi, a girl she didn’t know, Shouta, Amelia, and the girl who bullied her recently… she turned to the right and found Ine sitting beside her, “Good morning, Ine-san,” Sakura politely gave her a greeting, then looked up to the other group which consisted of some people she was familiar with in the academy, “Umm, hello Kiriya-san, Amelia-san, and Fushiki-san, is something going on today? There’s extra noises from this class that you can clearly hear voices from far outside of here,” Sakura stated.

“Good morning, Hiiragi-san.”

“Ah, Hiiragi-san, good morning. Apparently that superstar from Hollywood - Reo is coming to this academy today.”

“He’ll be here for check-up in the hospital. As he’s gonna perform in the Alice Festival.”

“Wow, really?!” Sakura was beyond surprised. It was that superstar she’d sometimes hear of from her previous classmates on her old school. She even caught a glimpse when resting from doing chores at home. He truly is handsome, and his music was something else.

“Yeah. We’re planning to go to the hospital too, in fact. Each of us have our own reasons, though… ” Aoi said, looking disheartened.

“Is something the matter, Kiriya-san?” Sakura asked, tilting her head, noticing Aoi’s gloomy face.

“You see, Ichigo is hospitalized there. So I just can’t help but want to visit her… the hospital is forbidden to go to, at the moment. Since Reo is coming, they disallowed access to it.”

“Wait, what? Hoshimiya-san is hospitalized?!” Sakura asked, apparently completely misinformed about the occurrences around the academy. Was she so busy with her Alice that she hadn’t been hearing about the rumors? “When did this happen?”

“Sometime around yesterday, probably when Ichigo ran off when we went to Central Town… I’m not very sure, either,” Aoi answered.

Sakura then asked, “Can I come with you guys? As much as I don’t like Shiraishi-san… perhaps I can help somehow?” Sakura offered - with her voice lowered when commenting about Shiraishi - Aoi and the others made signs of rejection.

“We can’t just get you involved in this, you know,” Shouta said, “Do you even like either of the celebrities?!” Shiraishi angrily asked. This wasn’t something one should get involved with - especially with half-baked reasons - when being useless as an Alice, or so Shiraishi believed. Meanwhile, Ing didn’t seemed to be side-tracked due to Sakura’s sudden interference.

“Hm… so it’s six people including me and Sakura, who just suddenly joined us. Alright, I’ll contact my desk at the workshop to prepare the items.” Ing said as he took out his tool box and opened it, a keyboard with different buttons appeared and he typed on it.

“So I guess we’re taking Hiiragi-san after all?”

“I see no actual problem, as long as she can look after herself?”

“I can at least do that much!” Sakura instantly responded, then faced Aoi, Shouta, and Ing, “Accompanying you all is the least I can do, since you guys came with me to the Eastern Forest.”

Aoi and Shouta gave light smiles as a response, Amelia however gave the cold shoulder. That event was cancer to her, it was everything bad in the world, but she didn’t speak about it.

”With that settled, welcome to the group, Hiiragi-san,” Hyuuga said, Sakura tilted her head, “Who are you?” she asked blatantly, “I apologize that we couldn’t meet sooner, I was discharged from the hospital only yesterday. My name is Hyuuga Aoi, a pleasure to meet you.”

Sakura gave a bow as she introduced herself in return, “Ah, I’m Hiiragi Sakura. Pleased to meet you too!”

“Oh, will you be joining us too, Kouzuki-san?” Aoi said, with most things decided; suddenly felt excited about the plan, albeit it being dangerous and against the rules. If it’s for Ichigo, it’s totally fine for her to do such a thing.

”Yes, since I pretty much have a lot of time on my hands.” Ing nodded and replied as he closed his tool box and put it back under his table.

“But wait, really? Why me too?” Amelia frowned, asking Hyuuga Aoi.

“Because you know of our plans!” Hyuuga Aoi cheerfully responded, “You shall be one of our partner is crime!”

”Why does she let herself be dragged into these shenanigans. “ thought Sono as he listened in to the plans of his classmates. He found it amusing how they never failed to try and find ways to get themselves in a horrible situation.

“Jeez, and here I thought that I’d sit back and watch,” Amelia said, with a defeated smile, “Well, I’ll tag along, I suppose,” She’d love to see Reo in person once, so she didn’t deny any further.

Who the hell is Reo? He thought. ”Oh and one more thing, it’s not free,” he said with an evil-ish grin on his face.

“Hmmm, I can’t cover everyone’s expenses, knowing you and your prices… how about we all pay for it together?” Hyuuga Aoi suggested.

“Sounds good, that would be far more fair,” Amelia agreed, as the others nodded.

“W-Well… Shouta and I don’t have any allowance from the academy yet… ” Aoi said, ashamed, she continued, “May we pay our share after we’re granted our allowance, Kouzuki-san?”

BlinkXPoke Cards and Hugs abound

”What? I’m not asking for money you silly people. The payment is five chocolate chip cookies for each people that participates.” Ing chuckled.

“Ha, really…?” Shouta was bemused by the cost of Ing’s services for this venture. I would’ve thought his help would be expensive, considering all that tech he’s gonna bring along He knew Ing was an inventor, but didn’t know much about his operations.

“That’s unnaturally nice of you, Kouzuki-san,” Hyuuga Aoi said, slightly disappointed at the joke.

“Add five more chocolate chip cookies to the list, then!” Maya exclaimed as she raised her hand, “Meeting Reo-sama has always been my dream! I can’t miss an opportunity like this!”

”Wait wait wait, you’re in this too?” He sighed as Maya looked at him with a happy face, and continued, ”Fine, I’ll add another device.” Ing took back out his tool box and retyping his orders on the keyboard. There goes my plan to share the cookies with her, oh well.

“Good, good!” Maya happily said.

Before long, the classes would start.

However...

Scrawling all the details furiously into her notebook, Mio smiled as this unexpected conversation caused her damsels-in-distress radar to blare like never before. There would definitely be trouble occurring in this undercover mission of her classmates, and Mio was not going to miss this god given opportunity.

Ine walked down the corridor to the classroom, comparatively early. Her breakfast had not been large, the events of yesterday somewhat hindering her appetite. As she entered the classroom she greeted everyone in her usual manner. However, much to her surprise, her greeting was almost fully ignored. The classroom’s noisy took a new height today - Ine noted - as they seemed to be gossiping about someone loudly, groups of people were busy in their respective conversations.

Bewildered, Ine tilted her head lightly, but didn’t think much more. With she herself feeling depressed, perhaps it was alright if people ignored her today. Making way to her bench - as usual - she took her seat. Beside her was Sakura, who she greeted with a, “Good morning,” likewise, Sakura replied with the exact same phrase, to which Ine smiled in response to. She then looked to the right, finding people she had been getting along with recently. Everyone are friends to Ine. However, there are some who takes higher rankings than just ordinary †˜friends’, this happens after she gets to know them better, or so Ine believed at times. This was not the case for Ine - strangely - it was the case for Ichigo instead. These peopled had interacted with Ichigo - including her - recently. They’d all want to visit her as much as she’d want to - if they knew about her current condition, and cared enough for her.

Hyuuga Aoi and Kiriya Aoi almost simultaneously greeted Ine, which made her chuckle, as she noticed the similarity in their names. Amelia, Shouta, and Ing did the same. Shiraishi did so very lightly; as if whispering, which made Ine pout instead. As Ine herself is a good and a positive person; she replied with the proper greeting to those who greeted her, with a half-baked smile. Unlike the two Aoi’s, or Shouta, Ing and Amelia - Shiraishi is a big bully that Ine despised, but at the same time, she felt taken aback because Shiraishi wasn’t acting like a bully as usual. Shiraishi even spoke with her with a brash and rude manner, what happened to all that? She wondered what sparked a change, or was it all an act? Taking a short moment to reminisce what Shiraishi recently did; she’d still keep an eye on her before writing her off for good.

“Why are you all gathered around Ing-san, today?” curious, Ine asked, still holding up her fake smile as a front, wondering if they were planning something for the Alice Festival. Such a thing would happen before the Alice Festival every year, students would gather around; making plans after long conversations between class periods. Perhaps this was such a case as well? Too bad she was late to the party, but this was the best she could do; she got up very early - according to herself - it could be the result of the bubbling melancholy in her heart.

Sakura whispered to Ine’s ears, “Ine-san, we’re going to infiltrate the hospital today,” making Ine’s body jolt up from the abrupt news.

Ine thought to herself, Why now of all times? she whispered back, “But why?” not wanting others around them to know of such a plan.

“We want to visit Hoshimiya-san - especially Kiriya-san and Shiraishi-san wanted to - the others wants to see Reo in flesh,” Sakura explained discretely, when she mentioned Shiraishi, her face slightly went dark and grim with certain anger, but she bottled it up - that case is long over now - she’d just need to move on from it.

Ine completely overlooked the part where Sakura’s shady emotions were portrayed regarding Shiraishi, as the part about Ichigo was a big enough deal for her already, “Wait, how do you guys know Ichigo-san is hospitalized?!” Ine burst out, then covered her mouth as her volume was a little too high for the current situation. Some students looked back at Ine, but resumed back to their respective activities. They took it as just another person learning of the latest hype that is the rumor regarding Ichigo.

“That rumor is all over the place, though,” Maya said with a smile, despite the fact that she cared about Ichigo, she didn’t find it too serious, yet did wanted to visit her, but she didn’t said that. Reo was still a rank higher in her books - especially because she sees Ichigo often in the academy - as a fan she’d prioritize Reo over Ichigo for now, “You must have been very occupied with something to not know back at the dorms yesterday.”
